Oh man .. G rated? Spoil all my fun! :)

Ok, ok. My guilty pleasure is the amount of time I spend on the internet reading blogs. My work means I spend a lot of time on the computer anyway, and I take breaks from my editing and so forth by reading some of the blogs I RSS. I keep up with about 150 blogs, a combination of humor, social commentary, photographers, fashion, food, politics, and (ahem) sex. (Ok, not so G-rated there!)

I use the excuse that it helps me keep up with my client base and know what the new trends are so I can maintain my business edge! ;)

Books.
I buy them all the time, even before I run out of books to read.
Right now I have about 10 books on my un-read pile.

I agree with books. I buy way too many and reading my own book is so much better than getting it from the library!

The other one I have (oh yeah, I have TWO guilty pleasures!) is getting pedicures. I love pedicures so much. I go every other weekend when the short folks are with their dad. It is awesome. I sometimes feel bad about spending the money, but then I remind myself that I deserve good stuff too and that no one is starving at my house, so it's ok.

Books and my Playstation. Can't wait to get Wii Fit!

We have a book exchange at my work - which is awesome, I don't have to buy any and my already read books are put to good use.

A long soak in the tub with either Lavender or VitaBath bubbles, a book or smallish magazine, the portable phone beside me and my dog snoozing on "her" bath mat. A coffee is nice too or a glass of wine.

My cats watch me in the shower as well--I think since cats hate water so much, they are mesmerized that someone would purposely stand in it...Silkie has even jumped in with me, stood it as long as she couldn and jumped back out...

My guilty pleasures are playing Bingo, and watching Glenn Beck. He is hilarious, but very smart.

I have five cats and have to shut them out of the bathroom when I'm in the shower . . . two of them are Bengal Leopard Cats and they  the water, so shutting the door is the only way i can have the tub to myself. :lol3:

Apparently I have more guilty pleasures than I thought. These are also two of mine. One of my girlfriends and I go and get pedicures every other Sunday and I take a lot of pride in how good my feet look always - pretty painted toenails and no calluses, and so forth. ;)

And books. Oy books. I have 4 large shelves of them in my bedroom, more in the hallway, a huge shelf downstairs. I could live in Barnes & Noble or Borders if I were allowed. I wish I had the time to read as much as I want to. Even so, I manage to knock out at least a book a week, and usually 2 or 3.

and my cats watch me in the shower too. One licks the shower water and when I am done, he sits on the wet floor between the show doors. One day I will get a picture of him doing this.

Mine does too. She licks the shower curtain while I'm in the shower and then waits impatiently for me to get out, so she can hop in and lick the shower water from the bottom of the tub.

Weird animal! :)

My cat licks the tub when I get out of the shower too! Haha.

My guilty pleasure is really generic, bad pop music with a good beat. Even though it might not be original or artistically ingenious, I'll find myself car dancing to it anyway. Oh, and techno... I hate to admit it, but living in Europe during my teenage years did it to me!

Me too! Degrassi: TNG and High School Musical fan here :D

I also go on youtube and watch the old shows I grew up with, like Thundercats, Smurfs, Zoobilee Zoo, David the Gnome, Strawberry Shortcake, gosh, I could go on and on. There's just maybe one or two episodes of some of the more obscure ones, but I watch anyway. I found an episode of Hillbilly Bears last weekend. Ah, nostalgia.

I'd say shopping too, but it's my money, and I have no one to spend it on but me, so I don't have anything to feel guilty about :)

1. Lifetime movies. You know, badly-written-badly-acted-based-on-a-true-story shlock. "My Mother Is A Serial Killer" or "My Husband Has Another Family" or "I Was A Gambling Addict." Yeah, one of those. With a bottle of expensive wine.

2. Fashion. Specifically, trolling thousands of high-end online shoppes and putting together outfits. I can spend hours doing this. It's like the grown-up version of Barbie dolls.

3. SCA (a medieval re-enactment group). Combine nerdy historical research with playing dress-up & make believe. Love!

The DOG PARK! I vanish with my 2 mutts for hours on end. Everyone pretends they don't know where I am. I go to the dog park as often as I can-- sometimes every day. The pups love running around without a leash, and I like walking around and getting exercise!

Hmm, I don't really feel guilty for this, but I have to say watching my favorite TV shows. They are old (I'm not much into current TV) and some only lasted like, a season.. but I love em. I get The Drew Carey Show, Whose Line, Buffy, The Simpsons, and my VHS recorded tapes of My Life with Busey and just watch my shows. :)

Sweetcaroline - Real Housewives are my guilty pleasure. I can watch them all day long.
Any type of reality tv that comes up on Bravo I will watch. So much time wasted. :dizzy: Lucky I'm done with school

As far as others - Im bit obsessed with makeup. I spend too much $ on it.

I never even noticed this thread was so old :)

I have a few guilty pleasures.

I'm a huge Survivor junkie. Never miss it. I play in a fantasy league and chat on-line with fellow addicts when it is on.

I also belong to a reality tv forum and discuss a bunch of different shows.

Baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Books I have so many in my to read pile but I don't buy them. We have a bookswap and it's amazing the books I pick up.

Bath and Body Works can't get enough of the stuff. We loaded up at the weekend at their sale. My husband laughed and said well that should last until the christmas rush :)

tv shows on dvd. I absolutely love to sit and watch seasons straight through. I have all the seasons of Buffy, Angel, Roswell, Grey's Anatomy..and am working on all of 7th Heaven and Gilmore Girls...

and books! I only feel guilty about the books though when I buy more...because my pile is quite high between books I've bought or borrowed and I should prolly get it smaller before I buy more! (That won't stop me next time I see one I *need* tho lol!!)

and lifetime movies. a great way to spend Sunday afternoon is to lay in bed all day and watch lifetime movies :)

I love love love books. I've been known to take Advanced Level English Courses at the local college for fun, just to get exposed to books I wouldn't normally read. Another guilty pleasure is my facebook games. I can only really get into one or two of them (and farmville is NOT one of them), but I love them. Biggest guilty pleasure though is episodes of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. My boyfriend got me hooked on them, and now we watch them every chance we get.

Books, Netflix, and writing books that will never be finished.

I go to the library almost every week so I read a lot. I move from one genre to another, I don't have a favorite.

I don't have cable so netflix comes in handy to catch up on all the cable shows along with great movies. I watch a lot online.

I love to write but know I don't what it takes to actually sit and write every day. Doesn't matter though, I just enjoy it.

Firstly, I do mani/pedi every other week, but consider it basic maintenance that happens to be enjoyable.

My guilty pleasure is Sims3. I try to only play during the summer because it's the worlds biggest time-suck, but I love it.

Also Grey's Anatomy. Although the proportion of guilty and pleasure varies based on how terrible it is any given season.

Just like many of you, I love books, the personnel at my local libray know me by name!!!
I read a lot but also have come to enjoy audiobooks. They are easy to download and I can listen to a book while running errands, cooking or doing laundry!!! It's a different experience from actually reading but believe me if you find a good book read by an good narrator you can get lost in the story you as much......
I am also enjoying the World Cup inmensely these days!!! Only comes every four years so if you like you really have to enjoy every minute...:)

Cheers!!!

I'd have to say that mine is books. I already have a full bookshelf and some books I haven't even looked at, because I either got busy with another book or just found myself completely uninterested with it when I tried to read it. Still though, I'd be willing to blow all my money on some new books.

...In fact, I think I'm due for some new ones soon. I don't have all the Harry Potter books yet. :lol3:

OMG I love those types of movies too. My husband teases me about them, but they're just fun to me. lol.

I like singing super loud to Broadway or Opera music (thank goodness my husband doesn't get irritated by it).

I used to love long, soaking baths until our water heater broke. Especially after a workout.

Spending hours on the internet.

Crawling into bed after just having brushed my teeth and watching lots of sitcoms or reality television (wife swap, world's strictest parents, true life, made, biggest loser, losing it with Jillian.... ect.)

Watching old cartoons like Strawberry shortcake, my little pony, thundercats, rainbow brite.... ect. (I still love cartoons. My NEW favorite is Adventure time. It makes me crack up).

Reading through an old story or poem I wrote.

Playing with my kitty cat.

Shopping on ebay.

I love books too. I'm starting the Warrior series. =^_^= I actually used to really enjoy going to this second hand store and buying tons of books. You could get like 5 or 10 books for a dollar or something.

There's tons more, but my mind isn't working right now.
