Default Protein

Hi Guys,
Is black beans a good protein to choose from. Also, what is considered a "lean" protein?

I can't say about the beans as I don't like them unless its in chili. But for other protein I basically eat a lot of white chicken, white fish, salmon and shellfish (live in eastern canada - love fish ). I also use natural peanut butter. Not "lean" but it has the good fat in it and it has no additives. Also eggs. I am a big egg eater.

In the LA express booklet, it does mention beans, but does not specify what type. 3/4 cup equals 1 protein. So, in answer to your question, i think that it would be a lean protein, otherwise it would not be in the LA Express booket, which promotes only certain foods at the beginning stage for max weight loss.

Other lean proteins that i enjoy: crab, lobster, scallops shrimp. Tuna can be from a can and water packed.
