I just read Lyn2007's blog and she said that 227 was a magic number for her because she hadn't seen it 10 years and it got me wondering................what's your magical number (besides goal) and why? Mine is 198 because I haven't been below 199 in over 11 years - yikes! I got to 199 on WW in 2003, but ballooned right back up to exactly where I started. It hurts just to say that! So.seeing that number on the scale will be very emotional!

You are so close to your magic number Skinny..Yaye!!!! As for me, like you, mine is 199. I guess the simple fact ov being under the 200 mark will be a great accomplishment for me. I am aiming for October sometime so on my Birthday, I want to be 1?? :-)

Have a great evening xo

It's nothing original, but it will be 199. I think I might even burst into tears of joy. I haven't seen 19-anything since... gosh... probably since I was 12. So, about 13 years now. It will also mean that I will no longer be obese... I'll just be overweight... so even more of a celebration!

It looks like we all have the same number in mind -- 199 for me too :)

I'll I can remember was I was 190-something when I got married (150 when we met :() but that I would love to be out of the "2's". However, right now I just concentrate on leaving a group of "10's" behind!!

Hey Skinny, our story is VERY similar. I lost 110 on WW in 2003 and got down to 193...just like you, only to balloon right back and YES it is painful to even say that. All that hard work down the drain. So for me...magic number is 192...one pound lighter than last time around.

I guess one of my numbers would be 199 because I haven't seen it in a few years. The other number would 159 because I don't remember stepping on a scale and it being less than 160. I will be VERY excited when I get to both of those numbers! May even have a party...:woo: hehehe

I am also kind of excited that I am closer to 200lbs than 300lbs now!!

I have a whole list, but I am really looking forward to getting back down to 160. That's what I weighed in high school, and I haven't seen it in a looooong time.

For me 174 was my magic number. It's what I weighed 10 years ago when I got married. For me to dip below that number ... wow.

My next magic number is my goal number ... 135. It's what I weighed when I graduated from high school.

I actually would like to be even lower than my goal, which is realistic for my height and bone structure, but I"ll decide that when I get to goal. For now I think 135 is reasonable and doable. :)

Mine is 187.
I haven't been able to get below that in my adult life!

It always seems to be 187 when I lose it :(

Joining the bandwagon of the 199 club here - which I'm within sight of and have not been there for about 12 years. My next magic number will be 170 when I am no longer obese.

I think 199 but 195 will be much better. My weight fluctuates like a balloon. I have been working out intense at the gym since Jan 1 of this year and I have only lost 6 pounds.....it is time to get things moving again. My DD is getting married in 366 days........I want to be at goal by then.

Gosh...199 is a REAL magic number to me. However - being 5 pounds lower than 199 will feel even better. 151 was what I weighed when I got married - I stayed at that weight a long time.

I have a few magic numbers too. I think my first magic number will be 213. The lowest I've been over the past few (7 :() years has been about 215 at the very least, but then I always balloon up. If I can make it down to 213 I will feel like that curse is lifted:lucky:. Of course, the next biggie (or smallie;)) will be 199, for the obvious reasons. After that, it'll be 184, because 185 was the weight after which there was no return (prior to 185, I was able to maintain or lose, but once I got to 185, I just kept on going:dizzy::^:)

Well, I sure have got a few number milestones ahead of me. I didn't realize that I had so many numbers on the scale that meant something to me. Interesting thread, Skinny, thanks for starting it!

192, 194 and 198 were magic numbers because they were all weights that when I hit in the past moved me to start eating better.
188 was a magic number because that's the magic weight where I feel better at or below it and feel bad above it. And it was the weight I started gaining from this last time.
155 is my next magic number, because I go to a normal BMI there.

I have a few also. 199 was very magical for reasons everybody has mentioned. Next, 174 will be special because it's what I weighed 9 months pregnant with my first, so I would like to be below a pregnancy weight. Then I want to weigh less than my DH, but he is making that harder because he is losing weight too and has gotten down to 165, so he is lowering the bar on me (or is it raising it?).

It's kinda funny, when I first started at 323 my magic number was 299 because i hadn't seen a 2 in so long :( that's kinda sad, but it is what it is! Now my magic number is 220, simply because when I started this thing, i'd found an old journal of mine from when i was about 22 years old, I'd been dieting since I was about 18 and it was all laid out there -- at 18 I was about 165, went down to 150, back up to 175, and so on and so on, til i hit 220 and thought i was the HUGEST person in the world - I see pictures of myself from then and i was so hot! LOL well DH thought so ;) It's all about where your mind is at any give time. If i'd known then I'd be 100 lbs heavier some day I'd never have believed it :O ergh I'd love to go back to that 18 year old girl and knock the first diet book out of her hands!!!

I would love to say 125 (been 9 years now since I saw that number) but that's my ultimate goal. So I'm going to say 150 cuz it's been almost 5 years since I was 150ish and I did meet my DH :)
The evil  scale has been creeping up ever since.

My magic number was 169. Really just getting into the 160's. Everything else still made me feel like I was the fat chick; once I got into the 160's it felt like I weighed what "normal" people weighed. It made me feel like I blend in to the crowd.

WOW! You guys are all so great in your replies! Funny how no matter what the number is we can all relate. Why is it that we have these numbers that we can't seem to get past? Crazy!

You all were inspiring in your posts - can't believe how successful you all are on your weight loss - congrats!! and Trazey I have to say that I too have looked at pictures of myself and thought I looked huge, only to gain weight and look back at them again and think I actually looked pretty good in the picture. Sure would be nice to posses a realistic perspective! I remember being told as a child/adolescent that I needed to lose wight and I look back at that girl and see she's exactly the right size. Wish I could have seen it then!

199 for me too! I think I was under 200 in highschool which was 11 or 12years ago so I can't wait to see that 199 number under my feet! :)

hmmm.. I guess my ideal magic number is 170...or 199. But 208 is my biggest one right now - because I wont be obese!! (I've been obese all my life)

249—I got to 250 a few years back, got confident and slacked and gained it all back

225—What I maintained in college.

199—Obviously

175—How much I weighed beginning of my senior year.

Anything below that will be just peachy with me :D

215 is probably mine. it's when I was my thinnest (and at 6'1", I wasn't so terribly overweight). It will be great if I get to goal which is 170, but 215 will be magical.

231 - I remember being this weight for a while, but when I see pictures, I was not as huge as I was in my mind! Also it'll put me in a size 15, which means I can shop in all regular stores!

199 - for obvious reasons

163 - the weight I was in high school, also my goal weight.

For now I am trying to focus on trying to get OUT of the 250's!!
