Hi Chicks!!

I had a good time in Cleveland. The arts luncheon, entertainment and silent auction was fun. I bought myself a cute Chico watch at the auction. It has a BIG face with is good for me to easily read. I did GREAT with the food at the luncheon. However, that night at my SIL's I did go back to seconds on the chinese food.

Happy to say that yesterday I was back on plan and under 1500 calories - I am grateful.

Office work - getting out more invoices for summer work. I need to go to Office Max and get my nice stationery.

dinner - pancake, turkey sausage, sf syrup

Cheetara - so good that you got all your water in - adding Crytal Lite counts. I liquid is a liquid. So glad you've been OP. That's wonderful!

Darkblue - hang in there. Don't let the scale get you down. I know you'll get another dancing veggie soon. Yes, I loved the arts luncheon, show and auction!

Good morning, Friends!

I'm so glad to get the weekend behind me and move on to a great on-plan week. Does anybody else have a problem with weekends? My workday schedule makes staying on-plan so much easier.

Momma- How are you feeling today? I hope you get better quickly.
Darkblue -I'm sorry to hear that your week wasn't a great one for weight loss. What will you be doing differently this week to get on track?

My plan for this week is to start exercising every day. Today, I re-start the modified C25K program. Hopefully, this will rev up my body for some great losses in the coming weeks.:D

Good Morning! I got up this am and thought I would only have time for 1 mile of a walk slim dvd (better than none), but I actually had time for 2 miles! Yippee! Now I just have to remember how good this feels when I am trying to get up tomorrow am!!!! After work, right to the gym for legs/back and more cardio.

Darkblue--Don't beat yourself up. We all have those weeks. Hopefullyt this week will be less hectic.

txmomma--Oh no, I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself.

Beverlyjoy--Thanks for starting us off. I was just about to get us rolling for another week. The auction sounds great! The movie was really good.

Rhonda--Good luck w/ re-starting the c25k. I struggle w/ weekends, although it's getting better, slowly.

How is everyone else doing?

I have to turn in a copy of my gym renewal at work today. I get a $30 wellness benefit if I do. I think I'll save that for my next pedi reward!

Rhonda - yes, I often struggle with the weekends too. Seems like there's more going out to eat and gatherings, too. I am so excited about your C25K - it sounds like such good incentive and healthful goal!!

Morning everyone! The weekend got away from me so I don't have my normal food for this morning ugh NO cottage cheese :(

Br. low-fat muffin (from a coffee place so it's probably 8000000 calories still) and a coffee
snack - going to try & sneak out and get some fruit
Lunch - leftover shepherd's pie (reduced fat, prepacked but so yummy and only 290 calories for a decent sized portion)
dinner - ginormous (it's a word ;)) salad with grilled chicken & w.w. roll
snack - sf jello

what a boring menu today!!! I like reading this thread to give me some ideas on what to have....it's time to make a ginormous (again, it's a word) pot of veggie soup to pre-portion and freeze. I've been getting way too lax lately, I haven't gained at all (yay!!!) but I'm not down any either ~ i so want to break into the next 'decade' soon :)

Saturday night wasn't so good... NEED NEED NEED to restart Beck Diet Solution, but haven't gotten around to it. Next week when I go back to a regular work schedule will be a better time (though I plan on being OP in the meantime).
Sunday was great...
Today will be easy because I don't work (no non-OP food here)

Am planning on going to a buffet on Thurs. (before seeing Duran Duran - yippee!!!) and for the first time, I'm EXCITED! I have a strategy! I will eat a plate of salad first and just pick at a plate of small portions of "bad" stuff. If I don't ABSOLUTELY LOVE the items I chose, I will just throw them out. What a concept. If I were still on WW, I would be nervous about points consumed, but now I will just use my head. Usually, there are only a couple of things that I really like eating, anyway. The rest is just there for volume.

Hello All! I'm new here and today was the first day of my "plan".

My name is Stephanie and I have exactly 101 lbs to lose. I am following an at home weight watchers flex plan. Well following I guess is the operative word. I am journaling everything I eat as well as all water and exercise and will be following the points program.

I started this rather spontaneously after realizing yesterday that if I don't do something soon, my weight is going to seriously start effecting my health. Today I realized that I hadn't prepared myself properly. I ran late this morning before work and didn't allow myself enough time to pack a proper breakfast or allow myself time to stop on my way to work. In the mad rush, I also left my points calculator etc at home, so I was flying blind. This leaves the choice of eating nothing until lunchtime or getting coffee and danish and or vending machine food from the breakroom and destroying my points.

In the past i would have gotten very negative about this but rather than throw in the towel before first round, I looked at it as a calibration day. I had coffee and pop tarts for breakfast. Not the best choice but better than nothing and better than a giant bear claw. I logged it in my journal and got over it. I did pay attention at lunch and rather than my usual greasy fare at lunch, I opted for a wendy's side cesar salad and a baked potato and traded my pepsi for some cold spring water. Snack was a small soft pretzel and I drank a boat load of water. Once I got home and added all my points after dinner, I realized I had only strayed by about 7 points. Not too bad for flying blind.

Tonight, I have set my alarm for extra early. Tomorrow will be better :carrot:

Hi chickies! Yesterday I had good on plan day :) - I am grateful.

I need to take my car in for repairs today. So, I'll be working in my office. Tonight I have a board meeting - Mom said I can use her car if mine is not ready.

Stretches and movement

breakfast - egg white scramble with ketchup, peanut butter toast, watermelon
snack - carrots
lunch - turkey and cheese wrap, green beans
snack - yogurt with all bran
dinner - veggie burger, lite cheese on a lite bun, zucchini/mushroom/onion medley

Sweetpoppet - Welcome! There are lots of folks here that do WW. I am glad you didn't throw in the towel. I think the more you live with your plan...the more it will become second nature for you.

Darkblue - sorry you are struggling. :hug: Plan for a healthy day. Maybe journal your feelings...that often helps me when I am hungry all the time.

Cheetara - I am so glad you have a strategy for the buffet. :) You CAN do this!

Trazey - good plan! Making that pot of veggie soup is a great idea - it's a real 'go to' food. :D

Good morning, Friends!

I felt an odd sensation in my tummy this morning....I think it's called "hunger?" :D I haven't felt early morning hunger in quite a while. Hubby and I went on our speed walk last night...50 minutes and 2 1/2 miles of hills. My legs were a bit achey when we finished. Tonight, we're going for 75 minutes and approximately 4 miles. I think that the scales just might smile on me again this week.:sunny:

Stephanie - :welcome2: Sounds like you had a great on-plan day despite the rough start to your morning. I hope today is a bit easier for you. I've found that pre-planning makes it much more likely that I'll stay on-plan.
Darkblue - Could there be a valid reason that you're starving this week? Is your body trying to tell you that it needs more fuel or more of a certain type of fuel like protein? Or, maybe it's just hormones? I hope things get a bit easier for you.
Cheetara - Wow...Duran Duran. That name sure brings back some great memories!:D Sounds like you have a great plan for handling the buffet.

So last night I ordered a dress for the events dh and I have this summer. We'll see.....I am not a huge 'dress' person, but dh is in a really fancy wedding and I am going to give one a try. If this one doesn't work out, I'll start shopping for something. The good news is, if this one does work out, I already have shoes and accessories to match!

;) I NEED accountability!!! I figure if I can't be held accountable to myself, maybe I can to you guys. You're very inspirational to me, anyway, so I figure I'll post what I'm doinf and see if anyone has suggestions.

First, though, Cinco de Mayo did me in!! I'll probably be paying for that for seis through trente y uno de Mayo!! lol

I don't know what I've done beyond that, though. I got down to 189 on Saturday and today, here I am at 193 again. I know, it's just a number, but its a fairly depressing one at that.

I didn't excercise last week because of TOM and incredible cramps but have started again since Saturday. I am trying to count calories and eat properly... still trying to incorporate superfoods into every day.

Guess all I'm saying is I need a little support.... Thanks, guys, think you're awesome!

hey gang! i need some accountibility! gah! i havent checked in the the last two days =/ and let me tell you, its been binge central. i even feel gross this morning in the tummy. im sure some of you know the feeling :( . im so sad about it, but im taking a good step checkin in with you all, and my birthday is just around the bend! may 18 im going to make a mini goal of weighing 246 on that day! i bet i can do it with a little help!

Hi accountability friends....well - I got on the scale today and I've lost 2 pounds since last week and I've made it to Onederland!!! - 199 pounds. I am so, so grateful! Thanks to you all for your support.

Today - I must carry on - so that I can move away from 200. I don't think I can breath until I am not so close to 200.

Today I have a business lunch. Need to do office work too.

breakfast - kashi waffle, pbn, 1/2 banana
lunch - refried beans, rice, grilled veggies

I hope no one minds if I just jump right in here...

Today will be day ONE of my new life. I made a crazy midnight grocery run with my mom to get some stuff that I can work with until I get into the swing of things and figure out what works for me and what doesn't. I have a tentative plan set, because I really don't know what to expect. So here goes nothing!

Breakfast (which I usually never eat!)-egg white omelette with a small amount of leftover chicken fajita meat and veggies, strawberries, water

Lunch-huge salad with more leftover chicken, homemade salsa as "salad dressing", apple, water

Snack-cottage cheese and a pear, water

Dinner-Homemade veggie soup, grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat bread with some sliced turkey water

I may have to adjust as I go, but I'm hoping for the best! I've got lots of running around to do tomorrow, which unfortunately will include places that have not so healthy but oh so tempting food just laying around. But I've got to be strong on my first day!

Hello ladies! I have had the two weeks from h-@-l-l at work. Lots of travel and things happening. I've missed you gals! I have stayed on plan as well as I could, and don't think I did too badly, although I suffered some from not having time to prep my food and post my daily plan here. Time to get back into the normal routine. I am taking kind of a mental health day today, and plan to meet a friend for lunch and some shopping. I will do some work too though as I have some loose ends that need tying up!
Greetings sweetpoppet, gabbnteach, and parade! Nice to "meet" you. It's so exciting to be on day 1 of your journey!
mathpuppy you know you can get back on track. Forgive yourself, learn, look forward, and move on. It's good to have a mini-goal to focus on right now.

I've stayed on plan so far today, which I'm feeling really, really great about. Dinner may have to be late tonight, I am in desperate need of a nap, although I doubt I could actually sleep very long before I have to get up and pee (again).

I'm already finding things that feel different, even though this was only my first day. I didn't get that nasty mid-day crash that I usually wind up with, and I think a lot of that has to do with eating "cleaner" foods. My muscles are seeming to cooperate better today as well, probably all the water. Soooo much water...I think I'm up to 96 ounces, and it's only 5:30! I feel like a fishy.

Alright, I think I'll try to visit nap school for a while before the house gets loud and crazy.

OH, I should add...this was also my first day without a cigarette. I'm feeling decent right now, but I know that soon enough, it's going to get reaaaally fun *sarcasm*. I've been chewing lots and lots of sugar free gum and keeping my mouth busy with water, so that helps. I keep noticing that I'm holding things like I would hold a cigarette though; I guess that's just part of the habit.

Hello gang. I had a pretty good day. I am on my upper lvl of calories today and boy did I need it! I went for a 3 mi walk with my parntner then she took me clothing shopping and I was down a size! Whoo hoo. Afterwards I wore my new work out outfit to the gym and rocked it hardcore with crunches and the bike. Hee hee. im realy excited for this weekend as well, my kungfu teachers teacher is coming to town and is going to teach a class for her students that goes from 10-3 (hour lunch break) now that will be a hard core work out day! That’s like…omg 5 hours of activity!! :o I better bring my deodorant with me, there will be much re applying oh and like a 2gallons of water. This will do wonders for my current goal. Yay! Okay well, im going to catch up on all your posts now here we go!

Bev-I love it when I get back on plan. Good for you. Hope your car is feeling better. Omg you are in onederland! I think I just cried a little for you! ;) congradulations!! All your hard work has paid off!

Girlygirlsebas- I felt the same way the beginning of this week. Weekends are hard! I love those long walks, I always feel so high afterwards.

Well, it will cost almost $1000 to fix my car. :( Yikes! It's almost ten years old with 116,500 miles on it. I think I'll be looking for a new car. I can drive it until I find one - just have to keep adding oil. I hate having to buy a car - it's up their with getting my teeth drilled at the dentist. :dizzy:

Hubby and I did another walk last evening. This makes three days in a row....I'm on a roll! :carrot: The scales are sorta smiling....the weight hasn't moved, but the fat percentage has dropped 1%. Today is another fun work filled day, then another speed walk with Hubby.

Beverly - Congratulations on making it into Onederland! I'm so proud of you!:D
Math - Congratulations on the new size!
Darkblue - I'm really concerned that you're starving all of the time. There really is no need to be physically hungry while dieting. Have you tried eating some form of protein with every meal and snack? Are you eating something every 2-3 hours?

Good morning accountability friends. Yesterday was a good on-plan day. Exercise wasn't too good because I wanted to get in a WATP but ran out of time. But I did get in two walks for about 80 minutes of walking so at least I did something. I'll make up for it today by doing my 4-mil WATP. I went out to lunch with my friend to a Mexican place we used to like to go, and I was happy to see that they now have a "lighter selections" portion of the menu and offer ww tortillas, so I'll be able to start going there again from time to time. I tried on about 25 pairs of pants and ended up with two that I liked. Lesson learned, pants shopping stinks no matter what size you are. But at least I can go to work now without worrying about losing pants! And I bought myself a couple of other presents, I was just in the mood, I haven't shopped in ages.
Here's today:
B: leftover strawberry rhubarb crumble, coffee with milk
S: cottage cheese, tomato juice
L: leftovers - chicken and sauteed zucchini
S: skinny latte, celery with laughing cow cheese

Okay, when I typed my plan in earlier today, I knew that breakfast was not a good idea, at least not without some extra protein thrown in, but I didn't feel like cooking anything and the hard boiled egg I ate yesterday tasted kind of "off", so I didn't want one of those, so ... laziness strikes again.
And here it is 1:18, and I am sooo hungry. I had my mid-morning snack, and a nice salad with some chili on top for lunch (swapped out the chicken for older leftovers), and I'm guzzling water and hoping my protein kicks in soon, but honestly, how many times do I have to learn this lesson? Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, particularly when you're trying to stay on plan. Dummy!

Breakfast--1/2 banana, 2C skim milk, 1.5C Kashi 7 grain cereal, hot tea
Lunch--ham and turkey sub on wheat with lots of veggies from Subway, water
Dinner--chicken enchilada, lots of fresh salsa, beans, a small amount of sour cream and cheese, iced tea


math puppy--down a pants size rocks! And wow--five hours of kung fu? I would not be able to crawl out the door afterwards! May you burn a zillion calories and get buff!

Beverly--poor car! :( We tend to keep our cars 10+ years, too. I wish we couldh ave bought a hybrid last time, but they just weren't available then.

Schmoodle--I agree--I have to have a decent breakfast! How did the rest of your day go?

GirlyGirl--Congrats on being able to stick with your exercise plan! And I'm ok, just cross and hungry. Why is it so easy some weeks to eat 1200-1500-- cal and be fine, then be starving on another week at 1800?

Yeah, sorta. We had a whole bunch of parking problems, so I only had time to scarf some stuff down really quickly and didn't get any salad. I got full pretty quickly on the "real" food - could've eaten less, but I didn't binge, so I'm still counting it as OP. What surprised me was that my healthy cooking is tastier!

Schmoodle - glad you had a OP day!! 2 walks at 80 minutes is great! :D Enjoy your new pants - it's kind of a NSV when your pants are so big they fall off!. ;) I agree, I need to have protein at breakfast too.

Dark Blue- good plan! Maintaining is better than gaining. You are still planning - that is important. :)

Hi everyone! Still swamped w/ paperwork. Today is 'bill' day....ick. It's no wonder I don't like taking care of my own!!! Paying bills for over 23 apts stinks! (phone, cable, utilities) Today it's mostly phone bills, my least favorite of all! Anyway, glad it's friday! I'll be around later on!

Happy Friday chicks,
Here's today so far:
B: egg salad on lettuce leaves, coffee with milk
S: cheese stick, cup of tomato soup

And to come:
L: cup of chili
S: latte and an orange
D: something leftover and GLASS OF WINE (it's Friday!)
S: chocolate cheesecake smoothie

thanks darkblue, it went okay, except I did end up eating one of these lowfat/lowcal ice cream sandwiches DD had in the freezer. Not on plan for me and not even so good, but at least only 130 calories.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, the weekend! Finally. Unfortunately, w/ staffing issues, and working a new proposal to try to reconfigure well everything and our recertification this summer it will get worse before it gets better. One thing at a time, though right?! That's what I keep trying to tell myself anywa!

Hope everyone is having a great night. I am giong to go relax w/ the dogs.

Hi folks! I stayed on my plan yesterday. I am so grateful.

Today, I'll work on sending out confirmation letters and a little garden work (carefully).

stretches and movement
log food

breakfast - grits and cheese, applesauce
lunch - cottage cheese and banana, crackers, carrots
snack - yogurt and fiber one
dinner - Thai noodles, peppers and onions
snack - cereal, flax, fruit, skim milk

Mj5- sorry work has been so stressful. I hope it all calms down soon. Taking a nice walk with the dog is a great way to get away from that stress - while getting some exercise. Wonderful!

Schmoodle - great plan. Tell me about your chocolate cheese cake smoothie. It sounds yummy!

Good Morning! Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

Beverlyjoy--So funny you said that, if the rain holds off, that's exactly what we will do this afternoon! Plus dh is working during the day, so we will have the evening to spend some time together. I'm thinking 'dinner and a movie', but renting a movie rather than going out to a movie.

Ok, I really need to get some cleaning done around here!

I actually stayed on plan today, whoot! 1470 cal, 26 g fiber, water!

Breakfast--1.25C Raisin bran, 2C skim milk, hot tea, whole red pear
Lunch--9 All-Bran crackers, foil pouch of tuna with 1tbs lowfat mayo, 1tbs dill relish, mimi V-8 juice, 7 almonds, 1/4 apple (would have had more, but DD got to it first!)
Dinner--went out to Mimi's Cafe--1/2 petite cobb salad, 1 tbs Ranch dressing, one slice carrot-raisin bread, water, one small mint


Cheetara--you did really well! Staying on plan at a buffet is hard to do!
Beverly--how was the new YMCA? Your menu looks good. What's in your garden?
mj5--you sound really busy right now. How's it going?
Schmoodle--I like egg salad...never thought about it for breakfast, hmm!

Hello beautiful ladies!

I'm back. I fell off the wagon, and I hate it hate it hate it. Hopefully I haven't gained too much weight -- I was at 270 a couple days ago, so I'm probably not eating as much as I think I am. But way more than I should, and I hate my body right now. I need to fall back in love.

Anyway, I threw out the garbage we had bought this week. There is a stupid cheesecake in the fridge from DH's birthday. I can't have anyhting in the house right now or I will devour it. I am blocking the cheesecake from my consciousness.

My chest is still congested, and I tried doing a WATP dvd this afternoon but I could only do about .75 miles and then I seriously couldn't breathe, lol. My energy level is fine -- it's just the gooks that are bringing me down. Tomorrow I'm going to the Y and take it easy until I'm in better form. I could go on antibiotics, but I think my body can take care of this on its own. I usually get a couple nasty sinus infections a year.

Anyway, I'm pulling myself back on track. I need to get myself back mentally. I have no idea what exactly went wrong. I think it's a combination of being sick, DD being sick, being exhausted, stress about some issues with DH's family, and then small little things exploding into bigger things until it's full out uncontrollable eating patterns again.


I'm starting over at Day 1.

Hi chickies! I made it thru a good day yesterday. :) I was changing my food plans as the day went on. Thankfully, I ate healthfully and had about 1450 calories. I am grateful - as I felt "shakey" about food all day.

Today my Mom and I are going for Chinese tonight. DH is in Michigan on business - he'll have supper with DS, DIL & GS and DIL's parents.

I will tidy up today and work on my confirmations.

lots of water
ice and heat
log food

breakfast - kashi waffle with npnb, 1/2 banana
lunch - egg white and lite cheese ommlette, veggies, toast
snack - fiber one and yogurt
dinner - wonton soup and egg drop soup
snack - cereal, flax, fruit, skim milk

MJ5- did you get your cleaning done? It's good exercise, ya know!!! :D:D What movie did you rent?

BGTXMAMA- Sorry you still have your symptoms hanging on.:hug: Good for you - throwing away the garbage. It's not always easy - but, often necessary to take away the temptation. So you went off plan...please forgive yourself and carry on! You CAN do this.

Darkblue - YAY!!! So glad you had a solid OP day!! :carrot: That's wonderful. Good plan. I didn't get over to the Y...I'll check it out next week.

Darkblue--Work is super busy and probably won't let up until July. It's ok, though, I work w/ great people and we can get through it together!

Beverlyjoy--Yes, cleaning is done! We waited until today and watched PS I Love You. It was really good, I cried and cried....

txmomma--Sorry to hear about your struggles. You CAN do this, I know you can! I hope you feel better soon. Good for you for getting the junk out of the house--that always helps me.

Nothing too exciting here. Had a nice day w/ dh and the dogs. Just waiting for dinner to finish cooking. Have a great evening!
