Default Power Over a Craving

I am by no means a master of cravings (for example the stress cookie I had this AM)
However I have to pat myself on the back. I was just in the grocery store to get water and gum. Pfarms cookies were on sale
My favorite chocolate was on sale. and thanks to my scooter Reeses PB cups were at Eye level!!!
I left that store with NO CRAP!
I kept repeating you're having low BP not I need Chocolate. You have baby spinach and chicken with broc in the fridge and that is what you need!
and darn it all it worked!
Yay me!!

Default Ko, You Go Girl!

Way to go Kiers! In my old life I wouldn't have waited until I paid for them, just went around the store with the bag of cookies hanging off my face. lol! Now I look at them, pass by them, go back, read the label, put them back, go get them for my DH and then ask him how they taste!!! Just kidding!!! But.....My DH went to the doctor and he is in wonderful shape, except they want him to go on Crestor for bad LDL cholerstrol. It is in his family. They suggested to him that he eat more whole grains, veggies, fruit and brown rice. All the things that I have been eating here since last September. Do you see meat, potatoes, gravy and bread there? NO!!! And I suspect that the premium ice cream raids at 10:30 p.m. will have to stop!! I do fix his lunches now and he cooks them in his mail truck just about everyday. I honestly haven't been buying stuff that he should be eating, but he sure does!!!! LOL!!! I made him lean ham sand and 2% swiss cheese slice , apple, splenda double choc. bundt cake, and he didn't think it was enough and went to MCDEES and got fries. I guess we all have to be responsible for our own health. My sister's doc just found out that she has a VIt D def. and they have started her on RX D and she has lost 18 lbs. since then. YIPPEE!!!! MMMM fritos, how about cheetos feeling???!!!

Jiffy: you nut!!!!

Ko I have to thank you... It might sound incredibly stupid but when im craving..all i think is 'i want that cereal/eat natural bar/chocolate' not 'im not hungry and i dont actually need it.

Thank you for helping me realize that! and well done

having the Iron and VIt D definitely help I'm not feeling cold and wiped out!
now I just have to kill the habit of propping myself up on sweets. Its now psychological GRRRRR
I just went to A&P to get catfood and scooted around the store holding a bag of marshies which I put down but I still raided the receptionists hard candy dish

I think the difference now is when I crave or when I eat the receiptionist's hard candy ...I forgive and forget rather then punish and purge!

When I'm kind to myself, the brain cravings tend to work themselves out and a small binge doesn't become a weight gain.
