From the Mom in this story: Share with your Mother that my daughter and I had the absolute most fun together by: tracking our success each week, shopping for healthy foods, doing more "physical activities" together, and SHOPPING for new smaller sizes. It was so funny when we went bathing suit shopping! Wow - how much fun :-)

Keep your chin up! See our posts on Page 12 and 13 on how we approached our food choices. We didn't use any special diet, just wise food choices from the grocery store. See what my daughter posted on page 12, and my post on page 13. Be tough with yourself, don't allow yourself to slip from tight self-control. When you do make a mistake, quickly get control of yourself and get back on the self-control wagon! Only officially weigh 1 time a week and keep a weekly log with dates. You will see progress. Stay disciplined and keep your spirits up :-) Good luck and best wishes.

First, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!! I want to say how much of an inspiration you are to me! I'm 25, and finally decide to crack down on losing weight, and becoming healthier.

Looking at you before, you remind me so much of what I look like now. It's almost as if I am looking at a picture of myself. I weigh 259, so I am pretty much exactly where you started. I have the long dark hair, and a similar skin tone... ect ect.

Basically, I just want to thank you for posting this! It truly makes me believe that I CAN do this. You are such an inspiration. Your mother is too, but you are more of an inspiration to me personally, because like I said, your before picture looks like a picture of me NOW.

You were beautiful before the weight loss, but it's incredible how different you look now! Completely stunning! It makes me motivated... I wonder what I look like under all of this weight! I'm sure that someday I will find out. I also want to someday be able to make a post similar to yours, and I am sure that I someday will!

You both look so healthy and happy. And girl, you're THIN! Wow! I would never in a million years guessed your original weight from your after pictures. I would've maybe said 140! I'm often concerned about how I'll look after the weight loss, if I'll have saggy skin everywhere and weird pouches of fat. I can only hope that I can do as well as you've done. My goal weight is closer to your mid-weight of 140, but you look fabulous in that! If I can get close to that, I'll be thrilled.

My daughter just got ENGAGED in DisneyWorld for her Birthday surprise !!!! She is really living her life now with her "new self" and really seeing herself succeed!! As someone who is just starting the journey I have to say that you are inspirational. I have a long journey ahead and feel pretty low and fed up, I just needed a story like yours

OMGosh what a great transformation your mom looks years younger and you do too. You look like a whole nother person. How's maintenance going?

I have maintained my weight loss .... No issues .... Just hold myself accountable each & every day. I remain fully aware of the caloric intake and stay within about 1000-1200 a day. If I go over 1200 one day, then the next day I will stay at 1000 or below!!

I have to say that the summer sales in the dress stores are a REAL BARGAIN to me now. There are usually quite a few "SMALL" "PETITE" or SIZE 4 (or even Size 2) items remaining on the sale racks.

The only bad thing is that just about EVERYTHING looks GREAT on me.

I don't say this to sound like I'm bragging (...well maybe a little bit) --- But I want you to ALSO be able to talk like this when you reach your goal. It has been fabulous .... and I'm still lovin every minute of it!!!!

Hi, It's Saturday, 7/30/2011, and I just got home from my son's wedding in Sarasota! My daughter and I both really enjoyed the wedding and looking good for those wedding photos. AND, the best thing, even while being on the road for almost 2 weeks traveling all through Florida, I DID NOT GAIN any weight on the trip! Yahoo!!!!!!!

I pretty much stuck to my usual routine, but ventured out a little bit. However, we were so busy and active, that I'm fairly certain I worked off any extra food intake.

My daughter still has her wedding coming in the future and I've got lots of wedding preparation left to do.

Hope that all of you are still making MUCH PROGRESS on your weight loss journeys!
