Out of total curiousity, what are you all planning to do with the enhancement money that we will be getting shortly?

I am going to cash mine out and put in my dad's safe so that I can't touch it. We are planning a trip to Sedona, Arizona this fall and I want to have it for that.

I want to buy an elliptical trainer and some good weights...but the husband isn't going for it. He said we need to split the money, but I can't make myself spend it on anything we don't NEED when we can make extra payments on his truck, or bills, or whatever.

Hubbys car needs new tires so theres about $400 of it.

Army is sending Hubby to a base outside of Las Vegas for 10 days and they're getting a weekend pass into Vegas so theres about $300 of it.

Finally going to pay off Hubbys computer so theres the rest of it.

Hubby, hubby, hubby... doesnt seem fair.

When it rains, it pours... We just dropped a load on a really nice dining table and chairs and wouldn't you know it, our TV broke! So that is what we will be spending the cash on... Lucky for us 3 kiddo's = mucho dinero :)

Debbie, I think it is $600 per adult and $300 per child or something like that...

Ummmm...not to be a party pooper here, but it's not exactly "Uncle Sam's" money. It's just a very teeny tiny little bit of what we've already given HIM!
Yeah, me? I guess I'll hold onto it for gas, too - it'll be $5 a gallon before long.

My husband and I are on SSDI, so the "economic stimulus package," that we are getting isn't money that we paid in (at least this year), though of course the only reason the government has any money at all, is because of money from tax payers, which we were up until the last two years.

We're probably going to use it to move to another apartment, one that is more handicapped accessible.

We are getting an extra tax refund this year, in an attempt to stimulate our declining economy. I started this thread because I have been wondering how much this money would really help the economy, or if credit card companies and doctors offices would get most of it with people paying bills with it.

Well my orginal plans were to hop on a plane with hubby to have a quiet little lunch date in Greece or someplace like that:rofl:.....Then I was slapped in the face by the wicked hand of reality.:frypan: My stove died so we replaced that, hubby's pick up needs new tires, they filled the LP tank last week, :yikes: starter went out on my son's pick up, and I need new shocks in my SUV...I think I need a bigger stimulous!!!:chin:

We will be paying off the credit cards, but since that is usually my que to run them up again, it should still do the economy good :yikes:

I heard they were actually ahead of schedule on the sending out as well...

I don't really care how or why we are getting the money - or even if it's a refund of what I've already paid - Just glad to get it!

we are getting the 1200.00 back.
900.00 is going towards our wedding we are having the end of this month. and My fiancee/hubby said i can take the other 300.00 and stock the new freezer we got with my weight watcher meals and whatever else i need to keep me in line and on track. I have a good Guy let me tell you. I know i wont use the full 300.00 because i will feel guilty so i figured i will use about 150.00 of it and spend the rest on our 2 kids.

House repairs! We're toying with the idea of upsizing to a larger house but before we can even consider selling our house we need to get it into flawless condition because it’s a tough marker out there right now.

Katie your puppy is so freakin’ cute! I’ve been itching to get another dog latetly. I’m really wanting a yellow lab to complete my collection (we already have black & chocolate).

I would be single real quick :dizzy:

We're using our money for Vegas baby! We are going May 25th – 30th. Planned the trip before they announced the stimulus payments so that worked out well.
