:sunny::sunny::sunny: Happy Thursday!

Dawn is breaking, the birds are singing, and it's almost the weekend again. :)
I have supper cooking on the stove right now for this evening, and am getting ready to do the WATP 4 Mile Super Challenge before heading out to take the girls to school. Cindy and I have been sorting through all their clothes and putting away the winter things, more of that today. I will take time out to do something fun with the girls, though! ;)

What's happening in your world today?

OK, I tried to come up with something original for the title of the thread but it's too early!

My bladder woke me up ten minutes before my alarm. Grr. I'm off for a run now and then I'll be back to start the day with a spinach and egg white omelet. Can't wait for that! Scale registered 1.5 pounds lost yesterday - man, I'll take those victories when I get 'em! I'm betting a bit of this vacation weight is water, so hopefully with staying on plan I'll be back to a happier pants-fitting place in not too long.

Happy Thursday!

Kara, Good morning, and no problem, I just merged the threads together. :) Have a great run! Are you planning on doing the Broad Street Run this year?

Cat, I hope you have time to stop and smell the roses today! I'm going to cram my workout in this morning, too. I have to make that a priority these days!

:coffee2: Good morning Chicks

Today I hate the scale. TOM is a week late and I have been blessed with 2 lbs of water. Grrrrr And I'm going shopping today.

Linda - I'm trying to get inspired by your morning energy. Bet the girls, and you, are enjoying this weather :)

Kara - It's nice to see your name again in the mornings! I missed all that cheerful energy. I bet you're right about the water and that vacation weight will slide back off. Did the kids enjoy Florida?

Cat - Have a good day. Are you counting down days to the end of the year yet? My Mom retired last year but used to start counting sometime in the spring.

Me - Finally meeting my Mom for shopping. Last time she was sick so we had to reschedule. It's a long day but always fun. My best friend comes with me (I think she and my Mom have adopted each other) and we bring her granddaughter. We started teaching Chloe about thrift stores when she was a few weeks old - she is a great shopper now and very entertaining on the drive :)

I keep getting up at 5:30 thinking I will go for an early walk as the days get warmer. So far though I've just read more forums and news and been a slug. I love long, lazy mornings. I'm hoping all you morning exercisers will inspire me!

Enjoy the day!

What a busy place! I was in here earlier to read and then left to do the garbage and here you all are.

I am off to Kingston shortly to see my cute periodontist and then will do some Big City shopping. Nothing too exciting on the list but I'm sure I'll manage to find something. Kingston is an hour's drive so I like to make it worthwhile. I'll pop into the big Loblaws while I'm there for some good fruits and veggies. Our selection in our wee store is pretty sparse - or "seldom" as the locals say.

If there's time - and energy - this afternoon, I'll do more gardening. Ted and Donny worked with me yesterday but there is still lots to do.

This is going to be another glorious day. It seems like we are jumping from winter right into summer!

Enjoy!

Cottage-I had one of the WATP videos and loved it. Now that we have a DVD player, I had to get rid of that one and now I have to get it in DVD. They are so good. It doesn't even seem like you've walked that much. Love them though.

kara-I wish my scale went down but as it seems, it keeps going up or it'll stay on the same number. Thinking about walking with the kids today. We'll see.

cat-have a good day at school.

cyndi-Just be glad you get to do these kinds of things with your mom. My mom lives in Okinawa, Japan and I don't get to do anything with her unless she comes to visit. I don't have any family here so it gets pretty lonely. Enjoy your day with her.

Me-nothing much. Pretty tired. Woke up at 430 to get Leo's lunch ready and Powell woke up at the same time this morning and Kris decided he had enough of waking up early and kept sleeping. I can never get a break. This is just terrible. I haven't been exercising at all and I know that I really really need to. I'm just way too lazy. I get caught up on the internet and just don't wanna do anything all day long. I signed up for the 3FC The Biggest Loser Challenge so hopefully that'll help me. I know I can do it. I wanna get down to my goal by July because me and the kids will be flying to Vegas to visit my mom and grandma. My mom and stepdad bought a house in vegas and that's where they go now for their vacations. They are paying for all our airfare so I'm really excited. I just need to get to goal and I'll be satisfied. I think alot of my family will be there and I don't wanna go looking like I do.

Everyone-have a wonderful day.

cottage-it's great to be able to usher in the warmer seasons by boxing up those bulky winter clothes! i admire ur exercise tenacity;) awesome!

kara- hope to see you in that blissful pants-fitting place *grin* min ehave gotten a bit tighter as well....

cat- halloooo! sympathise w/school day madness

cyndi-have fun with ur mom;)

ruth-enjoy ur day in the big city and the sunshine!!

the sun has finally deigned to grace us folks across the atlantic as well...wonderful and balmy. unfortunately i cannot enjoy it 100% as i am still in a bad way, health-wise. i get these sharp attacks of right side stomach pain coupled with continual right hipbone aches that no doctor has been able to diagnose so far. i will probably have to take a leave of absence from my job--right after i was offered the conditions i fought for. so i am waiting patiently for my mri which should shed some light on my situation.
wish me luck!

Nessa, you are too much! I haven't yelled at Leslie, but I do laugh at Denise Austin. That girl cracks me up! I think I burn as many calories chuckling at her silly sayings as I do doing her exercise!

Jan, I also hope you get to the bottom of the problem soon! When is the MRI?

Tawnya, sorry about the Plight of the Sleepless Kids! Maybe you should spike their milk? :D I'm kidding, of course. No, really, I'm kidding...

Ruth, have fun in the city! Hope the dentist appointment goes well!

Cyndi, enjoy your shopping day with Mom! Are you going for anything specific or just for general merchandise?

Linda, I'm still trying to figure out whether I'll do the Broad Street Run or not. My brother-in-law is trying to convince me to do it for him. He's a policeman and they're "encouraged" to do it, but he doesn't want to!

Cat, hope the workout went well. It's nice to feel like you have to get it done, isn't it?!

I'm all fresh and showery clean now. The kids are eating their yogurt and I'm about to start my omelet. :T Check in later!

Another day, another day...
But it's Thursday! Tomorrow is my favorite day of the week!
I have had 7 on-plan days no cheats! And I am psyched to weigh in on Saturday.
Kara, my bladder awoke me this morning too! I put my hand on my stomach, and realized I could actually FEEL my full bladder in there. Sorry, maybe TMI, that's a weird NSV, and I wasn't going to share it, but since you brought it up...
cottage, I worked on the clothing switch last weekend, but it takes forever, because you have to wait until everything winter has come through the wash, plus you can't put it ALL away because you might have a cool day... I dread the switch.
Happy thrifting Cyndi! I love to thrift shop. My friend and I used to go out all the time, but neither one of us has much time for it anymore. We found some great stuff. I've got tons of retro kitchenware, lots of melamine, fireking etc., from those days...
Enjoy your periodontist Ruth! (Note I didn't say "periodontist visit".
tk, what a fun trip to look forward to!
jandaman, glad you got some sun. I hope the mri helps to figure things out.

I'll be back to finish, gotta walk the kiddies...

Jandaman - sorry to hear about so much pain. :( Hope you find out what is really wrong.

TK - that is TOO early, girl! You are one heck of a wife :)

Kara - You're making me hungry!

Nessa - Can WATP be done w/o a treadmill? Also, our dog has Epilepsy too....in fact, she's on as high of a dose of PB that her body will allow. She's 11, and a BIG lab, so chances are she won't live too much longer :(

Cyndi - Looks like we're in the same boat. Yay for shopping with moms!

Ruth - Enjoy the city! Whenever I get to stop at a really great market, I'm always so motivated to eat healthy because of all the new vegetables and fruits that I have.

Schmoodle - One of my favorite things in the world is thrift and consignment shopping. :)

Me - Momma is in town and staying with us. Last night we went out for dinner, came home and watched "I am Legend". It was pretty decent.
Today, hubs has to work most of the day so we're taking the opportunity to go shopping while he's out :) I'm not really sure where we're headed....probably to a couple little shops, a great consignment store and Steinmart (there isn't one in her area). Hopefully DS will be able to tolerate us :)

I found flavored Agave Nectar yesterday. I bought a tangerine ginger one, but they had many others that looked great.

Wow, chickies!!! 15 posts before 8:30??? :yikes: I don't know how I can keep up with all you early birds!

It's a beautiful morning, Cottage! Hope you get a chance to enjoy time with the girls! What do you do with your dinners during the day? Do you just refrigerate them and then reheat at dinner time?

Run, Kara, run! :D Congrats on the 1.5 lbs!

Cat, one day I have to look around for a video on fluidity so I can better understand what you do... :chin:

Oh, Cyndi, I feel your pain. But you know those 2 pounds will WOoooooosh off as soon as your TOM is over. :D It's nice to get a big drop like that! You girls who get up early (5:30???? :faint: ) are inspiring to me. It's my goal to one day get up early enough to actual make a cup of tea before rushing out the door to work--I usually get up about 15 minutes before I have to leave!

Ruth, have a great time--is this "cute" as in a darling little woman or "cute" as in hunky? ;) I'm sending :dust: that you stay away from all things resembling Chinese food or buffets...

TK, I find that it's helpful for me to set a schedule for each day (up to a week ahead) and it's even better if I attach my workout to something else. For instance, on the days I work, I go to the gym right after, so I don't have time to go home and get distracted. On Tuesdays, I go right after my morning therapy appointment. On Fridays, though, it's harder, because I don't have any appointments, usually. So, for instance, this week I've decided that I'm going at 9:00. I feel pretty guilty if I break a planned schedule, so even with the 'net draws me in and I feel lazy, I seem to make it to the gym if I've scheduled it. On the other hand, if I just say, "I'm going to the gym on Friday," I can very easily end up doing tons of things and never getting around to it. Anyways, I wish you luck--it really is key to health and to your weightloss.

Janda, I'm so, so sorry! My dad has a health issue that's very painful and he's been working with doctors for a year to try to diagnose it. He's been on tons of different meds but nothing has worked and they still have no idea what it is. That makes me so frustrated! I'm not patient, so I'd be on the phone yelling at someone until I got some answers...but I also realize that sometimes there just aren't any answers for a long while and you have to learn patience. Are there any specialists you can go to, even if they're in another country? Can you work from home part time so that when you're feeling better, you can work but still be able to rest when you're feeling bad?

:lol3: Nessa and Kara, I was thinking as I read Nessa's post, "Yup, I been there...but I've never done WATP, so I just yell at Denise Austin!" I'm just a noisy person all around!

Nessa, I'm SO thrilled for you!!! I was talking about the Beck book yesterday at my Mood and Food support group and talked about you and breaking your plateau. It brought tears to all our eyes because we can TOTALLY relate. You go, girl!!! :cheer2: Hope all is well with Hannah! I take Angel (our dog with crystals) to the v-e-t tomorrow for urinalysis and an anal gland check (which she'll just loooooove  ). I swear, every time I bring her in they're doing something to her butt--she is not pleased about that, and I understand!

Kara, you're so energetic--it's awesome! I like the milk idea... :s: Maybe TK should tell the kids that milk can only be served warm from now on--and she'll have kids sleeping on the kitchen table...

Me:
Since I have tomorrow off, this is the beginning of my weekend. Tonight is free too, which is great! Our dog(s) over the years have jumped on and off our couch so much that, between their claws and normal wear and tear, the edge of our loveseat has torn open and the edge of the same spot on our couch is almost about to split. We'd love to get new couches, but it'll take some time to pick something and then order it, etc. In the meantime, I have a book club at my house this Sunday and in two weeks, I'm having a little get together. So, I'm going to do my best to attempt to "cover" the seats on both pieces of furniture. It's not an easy task since both the couch and loveseat have two seats that recline. We may have to avoid doing that until we get a new couch, but we'll see. I got some gorgeous grey/blue sueded material that's pretty thick at JoAnn's last week with a 50% off sale and am going to try safety pinning it to the edges of the cushions. If that doesn't work, I may get out my needle and thread and sew it to the seat! :club: We'll see!

I also need to vacuum tonight and fold/put away a bunch of laundry. I'm hoping to get a phone call in to my mom, as well. Last Sunday I marinated 3 lbs of chicken breast and grilled them. Yesterday I had one, plain, with veggies and a roll (similar lunch today) and tonight, I'm going to cut one up and have it over salad with some fresh fruit and a small amount of goat cheese and nuts. Mmmm!

Hope everyone has a great day! to those that come after.

TK - Before I forget, I wanted to ask if you've ever been considered for depression? You sound a lot like me pre-St. John's Wort. I didn't think I had it because I never cried, but there are a ton of symptoms that "qualify". I started taking St. John's Wort in December, and I am a new person. I had no side effects from it (the brand I have is Metagenics) and when I recently ran out for a week, I was back to my same old lazy futilistic self. It might be worth looking into.

Nessa - you really do crack me up.

Kara - YAY on the scale!!!

Me - I got out and ran again today! Brrr was it chilly - only 35* when I left, but up to 45* in the half hour by the time I got home (sun came up fully). My dog really loves me now, he loves the morning walk/run. DH told me I look trimmer already, and it hasn't even been a full week. I am so happy! And I nearly made it all the way up the Mean Hill without having to stop for a near asthma-attack. There are no flat roads here, so I figure I'm getting weight training and aerobic all at once. A 30* hill is nothing to smirk at. And I go up/down four of them. I really should clock it to see the distance, but I guess it's not an issue anyway.

The other advantage is that I am not hungry for a long time after running. Need to eat soon, though - or I'll crash before pouring myself some cereal.

laurie-I just need motivation to get off my butt and get going. I know I need a schedule. I think I'll put one together for starting next week monday since the challenge actually starts on monday. That way I have that many days to get motivated and keep reminding myself that that's what I AM going to do and in the meantime, do little workouts here and there.

fluffy-sometimes I think I may have depression. There are times when I feel sad for no reason. Lonely, tired, sad, and just don't wanna do anything. Leo's PTSD couselor told him that I can get PTSD from him and not even know it. I will look into St. John's wort. I always wondered what that was for. Maybe I'll buy some this weekend, what will it hurt?! If it's gonna pep up my step, why not try it huh?! Thanks for the advice.

TK - When starting any new supplement, I always start with ONE each day, on a full stomach. Then after a week, I add a second with dinner. Then I wait another week and add a third (if it's needed/within dosage limits). That way it's not a shock to your system and you can make sure you have no side effects.

I *think* the max dosage for SJW is 1800 mgs/day. And my NP told me that with any antidepressant, you should expect to be on it for at least 6 months AFTER you've reached full dosage.

I hope it gives you as much relief as it has me.

Back to finish, kiddos safely deposited in someone else's care, yippee.

Nessa, my kids were disappointed to not get out this year for Take Your Child to Work Day. Last year I took them to my office in Quantico and we hit the new Marine Corps museum there in the afternoon, so I think they were expecting similar this year, but DS has state assessment testing today, so I couldn't take him out. Didn't really need to go in anyway. So, phew, got out of that one!
Where did you find the agave zeff? Sounds yummy!
Fluffy, hooray for hills! Now I go out of my way to walk up them. I took DH with me yesterday and he said his legs hurt last night (hee).
Happy weekend, Laurie.

BTW, Leslie annoys me too sometimes. I love the workouts, but her laugh can get a little grating. Also when she starts getting a little "preachy" I tune her out. But I love that I can do it squeezed up in a little corner of my bedroom.
DH weighed himself this morning (which he does rarely), and told me he's lost 10 lbs. in the year I've been on the beach. He said he'd like another 8 lbs., which would make him what he weighed when he came to his country and started hanging around with me and became a "fat American". We'll see, that was 20 years ago, plus one of my goals is to weigh less than him, and he is just making that more difficult. Isn't that selfish?

Good morning Chickies!!!

Linda - First one out the gate...good for you! Enjoy your day! Have fun organizing!

Kara - Glad to hear that the weight is coming back off quickly. We'll all keep our fingers crossed that it's just water

Cat - Have a great day....BTW, what's fluidity?

Cyndi - Sorry 'bout the scale. But how fun that you're finally getting to the Thrift stores w/ your mom. Have a wonderful day!!!

Ruth - Ok...so I had to laugh at your "Big City Shopping" comment. Coming from a city girl, that sounds so funny. I understand what you mean, but I think it's cute. Have a great day.

Janda - I hope that they figure it all out soon. Sounds like you've been working on this for a while.

tk - OK....so what's the 3FC Biggest Looser Challenge? How do I find out more?

Nessa - Thanks for clearing up who Hannah is. i hope that all is ok. Have fun at work today with your son!

Schmoodle - Good job sticking to the program. Keep it up!

Zeff - Have a great day with your mom. Also, what's agave nectar? I've seen it on the board a lot and I think I understand that it's a sweetener, but how does it work, and why does it work on the program?

Laurie - Good luck on covering the couch....that's a daunting task. And great job grilling all that chicken. Really good idea!

FluffyK - Good job on the run. Keep it up.

Me - You all have been busy this morning. Being out here on the west coast I always feel late to the party. But I guess that's just the way it goes! So yesterday's fieldtrip went really well, both with the kids and the food. They ended up having sandwiches. I chose turkey and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was on ww. But after a couple of bites, I decided that I really didn't need the bread. I was really pleased with myself. Really sad to see Cara go on Idol last night. I thought she did really well on Tuesday, but young girls are stupid and vote for pretty boys....boooooooo! Tonight's Survivor. Very excited to see the aftermath of last week's vote. It should be interesting!.

Have a fantastic Thursday, ladies!
ENJOY!!!!

Tawnya, I'd definitely say with all the negative energy Leo has been throwing at you, I wouldn't be surprised if you "caught" something from him! Even if it's just overstressed anxiety.

Zeff, the Walk Away the Pounds videos are really great! Some of them use two pound weights, but I just pull canned goods out of the cupboard and use those instead. My beans get quite a shaking!

Krystal, glad the pup and you are enjoying your runs! Have you ever been to mapmyrun.com? It's a great way to plot your route.

Schmoodle, hope the walk to school was nice! Good luck with your clothing change-over. I'm lucky in that I don't have enough clothes to warrant putting any away! That might all change when we get to Germany, though. I hear Europe is the Land of No Closets!

Laurie, put on some fun music while you vacuum and get a workout in while you clean! I got that tip from Denise!!! I used to do her shows religiously...

Heather, agave nectar is a sweetener, kind of sticky like honey. It has a very low glycemic index so it doesn't spike your blood sugar. It's great to use to sweeten plain yogurt or ricotta and it works well in combination with other sweeteners for baking. It is sweet without being overbearing and it doesn't have an aftertaste like artificial sweeteners.

My spinach omelet was SO good! I just love fresh spinach!

I'm going a bit crazy today as dh has these surprise plans for me for the weekend as Saturday is our 5 year wedding anniversary. Guess I'll have to wait for my next clue or form of directions.

Tawnya, All Star Workouts changes every episode. Sometimes it's crazy dance workout, sometimes it's a boot camp thing, sometimes it's that nutty half ball, sometimes it's yoga or pilates... It's a great program! FitTV rocks!

Morning everyone - 30 posts already?!? I can't keep up! I'm going to have to go back to my routine of getting up at 6 am just to post! ;)

DH is on his way home - should get in shortly after I get off of work. Thank goodness because I really need the sleep! I hate how fit-full my sleep is when he's gone and I really hate being tired at work all day. I may go home at lunch and take a 30-minute snooze.

Kara: Thanks for asking! The doc is on vacation until next Friday, so he said that unless it was really bad, we wouldn't hear anything until he gets back. DH made an appointment with him the following Monday, I think, so that's when we'll hear.

Zeff - Have a great day with your mom. Also, what's agave nectar? I've seen it on the board a lot and I think I understand that it's a sweetener, but how does it work, and why does it work on the program?

It's just that.....nectar from the agave fruit. :) It has a very low glycemic level, but still isn't ok for P1 (I've heard mixed things on the board, but to be safe...) I use it now that I'm on P2 instead of Splenda. It doesn't give me as much gas (excuse the TMI) and bloating as Splenda and still tastes great. It has a taste reminiscent of honey.

Kara & Zeff - Thanks for the info on the nectar. Good to know, I might find some and use it in my tea. Is Trader Joes a good place to find it? Or might it even be in a really large/well stocked grocery store?

I am fairly sure that a Brazilian wax is where they wax your bikini area into this narrow little strip - so you can wear your skinny mini Rio bikini bottoms.

Oh, my word. You ladies are making me blush!

Tawnya, Gilad cracks me up as well! His troop is just too much!

Heather, I can find agave nectar at Trader Joe's and Wegman's. I think I also saw it at Whole Foods when I went window shopping there awhile ago. Shop Rite and Acme have not had it.

Kim, no news seems to be good news! Please let us know how things go on Monday!

Nessa, have fun!

Gonna, Happy Anniversary! My DH did a trip like that for my 30th birthday and it drove me nuts but was SO exciting. Hope you have a blast!

Nessa, you crack me up! I'm glad you're having a pampering day! I loooooove facials. Someone to massage my face everyday would be awesome. :cloud9: I've never done a Brazilian, though I'd love to try it. How did you find someone you could trust to do it? It's not a question I'd usually ask my friends... :o I get a bikini wax, but the woman who usually does it has some trouble ripping off the strips every now and then. It's not an issue for me with the bikini area, but if it was a Brazilian and something stuck? :yikes: :faint: That would not be fun.

TK, I was on St. John's Wort when I didn't have health insurance but knew I was depressed. It can be very helpful--it's an herbal supplement, so it's over the counter. However, because it's an herb, it's not reviewed by the FDA, so you want to make sure that you are getting a good brand that isnt' including bad or low quality stuff. Nonetheless, since I took St. John's they have released a lot of information about interactions between it and prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, food, and alcohol. It can be very dangerous in those situations. Here are just some of them:

Examples of medications that may be affected by St. John's wort in this manner include carbamazepine, cyclosporin, irinotecan, midazolam, nifedipine, birth control pills, simvastatin, theophylline, tricyclic antidepressants, warfarin, or HIV drugs such as non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs) or protease inhibitors (PIs).
...
Case reports exist of significant reductions in cyclosporine, tacrolimus, and mycophenolic acid drug levels, and possible organ rejections in people with transplants who are taking St. John's wort. Reports also exist of altered menstrual flow, bleeding, and unwanted pregnancies in women taking birth control pills and St. John's wort at the same time. St. John's wort may interact with digoxin or digitoxin, resulting in a decrease in digoxin blood concentration. In general, individuals should check the package insert and speak with a qualified healthcare professional including a pharmacist about possible interactions with St. John's wort.
...
St. John's wort may lead to increased risk of sun sensitivity when taken with other drugs such as antibiotics or birth control pills. St. John's wort may interact with anesthetic drugs. A possible interaction with loperamide (Imodium®) has been reported; confusion and agitation occurred in one patient taking St. John's wort, loperamide, and the herb valerian ( Valeriana officinalis ). St. John's wort may interact with triptan-type headache medications. Examples include naratriptan (Amerge®), rizatriptan (Maxalt®), sumatriptan (Imitrex®), and zolmitriptan (Zomig®). In theory, St. John's wort may also interact with certain chemotherapy drugs such as anthracyclines. St. John's wort may increase anti-inflammatory effects of COX2 inhibitor drugs like Vioxx®, or NSAIDS like ibuprofen (Motrin®).

It's also not considered safe for pregnant or lactating moms. I'm not sure if you're still breastfeeding.... :?: Check out these links and learn more about it before you make a decision--I would highly suggest talking with your doctor or at least a pharmacist to help you with the decision.

Good afternoon. All you chickies who get Brazilian waxes done - more power too you! I have having my eyebrows done, I don't think I could stand the pain! That's why I love the razor :)

Anyway.... Short for me today - I'm actually on lunch right now, and am thinking about going to the cafeteria to see if they have any fresh broccoli for my salad. I don't need it, I just want it. :) Gotta love it when you crave veggies! :)

Hope every one has a great day!

DD is getting tired. I can tell. I'm trying to potty train her since pull ups are so expensive and I've got a 9 month old in diapers too and how the world is going now, she needs to potty in the big girl potty. It's hard work. Better go and get something done around the house. See you ladies tomorrow.

TK - the only problem with talking to doctors or pharmacists about supplements is that they aren't generally trained in their usage. They don't know how they work, so many of them just resolutely tell you to avoid them and they are dangerous. A better way might be to find a homeopath, naturopath or chiropractor who is trained in alternative medicines if you are on other medications or have other concerns.

If your doctor or pharmacist happens to know about them, that is wonderful. If they just give you the "They're dangerous, they're not tested" song and dance, you might just want to look to a different professional.

The person I got teh supplements from was familiar with my medical history and was trained in their usage, so I had an easier path.

Nessa I have to say you have fun getting pampered!! Congrats on surpassing your goal!! :carrot:

I did some gardening and laundry today. Now I'm sitting, resting and enjoying my lunch. Its a huge spinach and cabbage salad, with tomatoes, cucumbers, green and red sweet peppers, hard boiled egg, deli ham and turkey and some LF cheddar!! YUMMY!!
Anyhow, I'll be around...laterz

Protein, Kim, protein!!! You can make it! (Plus, you'll need your energy tonight...)

Tawnya, how old is your daughter? I just got Avery done training and it's SO nice to be out of diapers! She still wears one at night, but I made a pack last from the beginning of February until last week, so it's not too much of a burden on the budget. She made it through the week in Florida, even! Well, she had one little squirting accident, but all in all I was VERY impressed!

What a bunch of cluckers! It's like the Discovery Channel. Brazilian waxes, indeed!

I'm just home from the big city and bought mussels for dinner. Yummy! I may splurge and have some white wine with them. After all, I do have to open a bottle to use in Moules Mariniere, right?

Donny my Yard Man worked four hours on his own today and the front and side of the house look great! He even cut back the rest of the perennials in the front bed. Apparently he knows something about gardening. He doesn't know the names of the plants but does recognize them as perennials - DH was totally clueless. He grabbed some potted mums once and planted them in the veggie garden in the tomato cages! Oy!

Life is quite lovely at the moment. Enjoy the evening.

Geez, girls. Chatty today, aren't we?

I don't think I've seen a daytime conversation chat go for five pages before.

I found a wonderful dress today for a summertime wedding. It isn't something I would normally go for, but it looks really great. It's yellow and black on a white background. V-neck with a shirred bodice. A-line skirt all in cotton. It hangs really nice and makes my ta-tas look dang nice, if I do say so myself. ;)

DS cut himself on a broken pot at the garden center, and the owners rushed around him and showered him with attention. It didn't take long for him to stop crying and start smiling. They gave him a popsicle and everything was ok ;) I think they were worried about a lawsuit, but honestly, they handled it really well and I'll gladly drive the extra 5 miles to go there instead of our usual place.

Hope everyone else had a nice day.

I don't think they make a dress where my ta-tas would look dang nice... unless you're into udders. LOL! Nature "graced" me with abundance, and abundance doesn't ever look good unless it's enhanced with silicone. (Which mine are obviously not and never will be).

You gals are all making me wonder if I needed sisters or more forthright girlfriends, because I am not a user of wax or razor. You see, I have this thing about razorburn... I don't like it! Never had anything waxed and darned sure wouldn't start THERE. I think I need a "facts of life" talk for middle aged women, because I didn't understand the behind thing, either.

Nessa, I'm sure you're used to it now, but didn't it hurt when you 1st started going? I love my Nair (and like products), but if I use it anywhere but my legs I get chemical burns. They need to make a less harsh Nair - maybe it would take 2 or 3 applications, but I'd use it. :)
