Good Monday! :) It's a bit cool out there but we could sit on the deck and chat this morning. I'm not feeling great so am not rushing off to the gym yet. Hersh has a vet appointment later this morning for her boosters and I may gym it after that.

What's on your schedule? :cofdate:

Morning Ruth and Nessa!
Ruth hope you are feeling better very soon! Nessa, hope it's a great day at work!

Typical Monday morning here. Trying to pry my eyes open with coffee. Stayed up a little too late talking to my oldest son who showed up last night to spend the night (surprise!) just when I should have been going to sleep. You never know when that boy is going to pop in!

Have a great week everyone!

"Monday Morning Coffee" sounds like such an inviting title! :coffee: It's cold and wet on our patio today, but I'd love to come and have coffee on your deck, Ruth. :) Here's a  and hoping you feel better real soon!

Have a good day at work, Nessa! Mondays are the hardest day, once we get past that, we only have 4 days left! ;) And Congratulations! on your success, you'll be in onederland in no time!

Cat, sorry your DS kept you up past your bedtime last night! I hope you have an easy day today to make up for it!

I'm off to Curves first, then I want to wash the windowpanes on the French doors leading to our sunporch this morning. I can see a lot of little handprints on them. Little Tyler loves to sit in front of the doors, looking through the windows. ;) It's my late night at work today, but the girls have piano lessons this evening, so that will help break up the day.

Oh my - 4 posts before 6:30! And I'm just starting my first cup.

Ruth - Hope you feel better. The deck sounds great, think I'll join you :)

Nessa - Have a good day

Cat - Sleepy Mondays are tough but visits from kids are good.

Cottage - I'm always impressed that you can get up and go out the door to Curves. I'm a very slow morning starter.

A quiet week here - just 3 work days :jig: I plan to shop with my Mom (our semi-annual split the difference thrifting trip), garden, and chase birds :) The warblers are coming - a big time for the bird obsessed.

Have a good day!

good morning everyone. Up early cause this week Leo has to work days. I get up so early and I don't want to. I would rather sleep till noon. My baby woke up early too to be fed so hopefully he'll go to sleep and I can go to sleep shortly after. Just stopping in to say good morning. Gotta go change his diaper and put him back down. Be back later.

Wish I could still stomach coffee...I took Tylenol on an empty stomach this morning so I now I not only have a huge sinus headache but also a nasty tummyache. Trying to get something down to help.

I'll come back later when I feel coherent!

Good morning everyone....finally can come back to look at posts last week was very hectic at work

04-21-2008, 10:16 AM
Jessie, ever tried Excedrine sinus headache? Works for me.

04-21-2008, 10:22 AM
Cat--Usually I take Excedrin or Bayer or Advil cold/sinus but with baby on board all I am allowed to take is Tylenol and Sudafed.

Happy Monday Ladies!
Ruth - Sorry you're not feeling up to it yet, maybe as the day warms you'll feel better.

Nessa - Have a good day at work!

Cat - Good morning. Hope the late night doesn't effect you too much today. Enjoy that coffee.

Cottage - Have a good day cleaning. Some week days I wish I could stay home and get this place in order...

Cyndi - Enjoy your birds & shopping. Sounds excellent to me.

tk - hope you can get some rest this morning.

Jessie - Hang in there, I'm sure you'll feel better later.

First I must share that I am down 11.5 pounds for the past two weeks. It feels really good!!!! I think the walking in the morning is helping. Dh and I had a great day yesterday at Disneyland walking around and riding a few rides. The weather was perfect.

Today I've got a large parent/teacher meeting early in the morning and then this evening I'm off to spend some time with two of my good girlfriends. We usually get together once a month and I cook dinner. It's a lot of fun. Should be a good day.

I hope everyone's week starts out fabulous!

Just did some Googling and the iron supplement may be causing the problems. I feel much better now and am leaving for the vet visit - and to buy a new rake since I just can't find any of mine. Of course, this means mine will show up tomorrow morning!

04-21-2008, 10:59 AM
Good Morning, ladies.

Hubs and I stayed up rather late last night talking, so I'm a little draggy this morning. Hopefully I'll find the will to do something...and soon! My mom is coming on Wednesday, and you all know how it is when a parent visits. What is clean for us and clean for her are two different things :)

That is really all we have going on today. Not very eventful :(

04-21-2008, 11:06 AM
Well, today is the 1st day of P1 restart for me. I lost about 35/40 last year when I did it, but because of some health reasons/holidays/wedding planning, I fell way off the band wagon... BUT, I didn't gain more than 1.5 lbs back - I was shocked (more like FLOORED) this morning when I stepped on the scale for the 'starting weight'

I stopped by the store on the way in for my Beachy food for work. Yogurt, celery, and hummus. I also got a 1L bottle of water (which I'll refill - Earth day tomorrow :) ) so it's easier for me to keep track of my H2O intake.

Hope everyone has a great day! Time to get back to work! :(

Mornin' everyone! Pecking in late today, so will forgo most personals, but I hope everyone had a blissful weekend!

:congrat: hmacneil6 on your loss! :yay: Exercise helps out a LOT!

Jessie, I have terrible sinus problems and have investigated things to try during pregnancy. You might try saline sprays--I love "Simply Saline" because it has a great nozzle and is sealed a certain way so that they don't need to include preservatives, but it doesn't get any bacteria or anything. I find it helpful to spray both sides, then lie down on my back so it gets in there good. :o If that doesn't work, get a Neti pot (you can find them at health food stores--our Wegman's has them in the Nature's Market section). If you have trouble finding it, let me know--my SIL lives in Nashville and might know who has them. (She's due any second now--her due date is May 9th, but she's already 1 cm dilated and some percent (I forgot!) effaced! ;) ) Anyways, it looks like a little teapot ( You use it by filling it with saline solution (and essential oils, if you want), and then, with your head over a sink and tipped to the side, you pour the solution ( of this) in one nostril and it comes out the other. It sounds deranged, I know, but you wouldn't believe how well it works!!! I use a really fancy machine that pulsates the solution in, but a neti pot is a much simpler, less expensive way to do it. Plus it should be safe throughout your whole pregnancy any time you're stuffed up. :D Drinking lots of water also helps get things unplugged up there, and drinking hot water or herbal tea will also help to "melt" the stuff stuck in there. Hope that helps, hon!

:dust: for you you, iammare! You can do it! :cheer2:

Big news! My baby sister got engaged this weekend! Unfortunately, only my other sister has met her fiance. :( He sounds like a sweetheart, though!

I had a fairly quiet weekend in terms of having fun, but did lots and lots of work! I did a bunch of mulching and other yardwork on Saturday and am still feeling the pain... Yesterday I took care of the bunnies, wrapped a bunch of presents, and did chores.

I'm off the gym tonight, and then we have dog obedience class. When I get home, I need to haul the trash to the curb. We have at least 15 bags of yard waste and can only put out 6 bags total (including our actual trash) each week. These guys are gonna be around for a while, I'm thinking...

Hope everyone has a great day!

My day is looking up. A friend just called to invite me to go out in the swamp this afternoon for some picture taking. can't wait!! playing hooky from job 2!

We've got a troop meeting at 7 tonight so we'll have to watch our time. I need to stop by Kroger to pick up the parsnip and ginger for tomorrow night's stir fry. My usual store was out yesterday. I'm working on chipping away at my to-do lists at home, work and scouts. I think I have everything printed for the Wed night Junior staff meeting but still need to do a little work on the Powerpoint and Walking Den Leader book and "what's changed" document for the Walking Den Leader training on Thursday.

I keep saying I'm going to get the POD reserved for camp so I'm going to call on that now before I get distracted again.

well I did some picking up and some ironing. just in for a break. Should be going to work soon, once DH gets here... But, I'll keep going until he gets back. Its soooo beautiful out today!!! If he were here I'd go for a bike ride or walk with him. Maybe we'll take a quick one when he gets back :)

Hi everyone! Quick fly by! Hope all is well with you! Have been really busy lately but things are going VERY well! A Level 6 Director in my travel company is calling Tommy and me the "Illinois Expansion Team." She was the California Expansion Team, and made $3,000,000 last year after 3 years at it. We also booked another $1500 in travel last week! WOO HOO! Doin' the best we can to make it so I don't have to work anymore! I'd love to retire in 5-10 years, too. Can you see it? Me. 38. Retired. Living in my house on Anna Maria Island in Florida. Sipping sugar-free margaritas with my newly lifted ta-tas. Ahhhh I can't wait!

Wednesday is Tommy's 31st birthday. My parents, brother, and I all chipped in and got him a TomTom for his car. (I know, it's funny, it's his name twice, but he wanted it.) He doesn't know that's what he's getting so shhhhh! I'm excited to see the look on his face when he opens it!

That's all here. Hope you girls are doing great! I'm gonna get some dinner on the stove. Love you all! Talk soon!

Just got finished with dinner. The souffle chicken is really good. I've never been a big fan of stouffers stuff, but the spinach souffle was great. It was really easy and convenient as well. :)

Went to lunch with DS and DH today at a little local place. They serve great plate lunches. VERY down home.

After lunch, went to Walmart to buy a carpet cleaner. I was planning on buying the "spot bot", but found that the "Little Green" was lighter and smaller. You can't just set it and forget it like the spot bot, but I used it on a koolaid stain on our white carpet today, and it worked really well. It also cleans upholstery. It surely isn't a replacement to getting our carpets cleaned every once in awhile, but it will do for those toddler stains that seem to pop up all the time. I'm very pleased with it, so far.

Also stopped by the feed store and bought some bird food. My son has a bird feeder that the birds love. We have to fill it at least once a week!

Alright, off to clean up dinner dishes and try to get another room taken care of. I told myself I wasn't going to break my back over my mom coming.....if I actually stick to that, I'm not sure. Our home is very clean, but probably not "mom" clean ;) Too bad! She doesn't have a 2 year old!
