Hello, guys :)

I was wondering, are here any gamers? I'm a huge RPG fan, and I could play for hours without noticing the time passing :comp: I've just finished playing The Witcher, and I feel so sad...that was a **** of a game :( I'm gonna miss it :)

so...anyone? I know you're out there :D

I played way too much Everquest 1 - big time raid guild, moderated a very popular fan website yadda yadda. Now, I play Everquest 2 much more casually. I don't want to play like I used to - long hours, no pause button, too much eating crap food at my desk - it really wasn't good for me.

Hello! Gamer here :)
I've been a gamer ever since I could read!

I finally quit FFXI online in December after playing for 4 years.. but I already want to go back to it... in the process of trying to get my character back lol. I think I will be able to play less hardcore this time around.. I wont be running my group anymore because we passed it off to new leaders, so I won't feel as obligated to do things.. The MMOs are what really get you... you can play for 12 hrs without moving from your chair without thinking twice. Lately I've been playing more casually, Neverwinter Nights 2, Oblivion, and lots of Call of Duty 4 on 360 :)
Gamertag on 360 is Rabmonk if anyone wants to add me btw ^^

My boyfriend and I are waiting patiently for Aion : The Tower of Eternity to come out. We already have a guild setup with a website.. with a lot of friends from FFXI that are going to play too... but I'm not going to let it make me fat! lol

played WoW hardcore for from release until 6 weeks ago

ill tell you what though, if i was still playing i would most certainly be worse off then i am ( that game is unimaginably antisocial)

one of my best friends plays guildwars alot alot and ill tell you what, its hard taking second place to a game in a friendship.

I'm not really into online playing. There is nothing better than my (boyfriend's - my laptop is too old :D ) computer, a teapot full of Earl Grey tea, and an rpg...mmmm...what a life...

anyone here played Assasin's Creed? I'm thinking of playing it after I pass some of my college exams because real life is more important that imaginary one, right?

My first RPG love was Baldur's Gate II...oh, those were the days :D

If you want a real rpg experience, I recommend The Witcher, it's the best game I played in my life :)

My bf and I even bought new graphic card for best Witcher game experience :D

I personally wouldn't recommend Assassin's Creed lol :P It is kinda fun at first, but it gets SO repetitive!!! sneak, stab, jump, kill, sneak, stab, jump, kill.

I had Baldur's Gate too back in the day XD Have you played Neverwinter Nights 1&2 or Oblivion? Both good rpgs. Games that bring back memories for me Betrayal at Antara, Betrayal at Krondor, Quest for Glory, Might and Magic, King's Quest etc. lol they just don't make games like they used to.

I will have to try The Witcher sometime!

Hmm...I thought maybe I was a gamer...but I have no idea what games you all are talking about.:o I played the Sims 2 all night and day when it first came out. :^: I also play the Wii...but I guess I am not a hardcore gamer. What is FFXI and RPG??:?:

lol :P you're what people would call a casual gamer, no shame in that... I play Sims2 too XD mostly just make clothes though in photoshop.

here you go

RPG - Short for role-playing game, it is a game genre where one or more players adopt a role and act it out in a virtual reality. Usually in an RPG game, you will set out on an adventure or quest, and multiplayer RPG games allows gamers to complete these quests with other gamers as allies over the Internet or as a LAN game.

Back when I was still playing: Siren. (I ended up quitting the addiction ... I think in like 2005...so before any new jobs or anything.)

But it's cool to meet people who play/used to play!

if you're not easily offended by vulgar talk and not a hard-core feminits, you'll like it :D
it includes a LOT of sex, violence, blood, "vulgar" language, nudity...a perfect RPG :D
some people say it's just too much, but I think it's real as it can get :)
and you can actually have sex with women and you get a card per woman. it maybe sounds weird, but is very cool  :D
You can play only one caracter, Geralt Of Rivia who is a witcher, but you get used to palying a male. It was my first as I loved to play a female paladin :) I just like to kick some enemy *** :D

As for NWN and Oblivion..well, of course. I played NWN and all of those million expansions until I got stuck in ****...literally :D

I finished Oblivion, but I haven't started playing Shivering Isles yet. Witcher came and I couldn't let it go :D

Assasin's Creed - I like Kristen Bell ( Veronica Mars rocks  ) and I wanted to see her rendered in game :D
It's totally creepy :)

vulgar language, violence and nudity sounds great!!! lol... sounds like fable 2, but you can play as a chick and have sex... and get pregnant! lol.. can't wait till that comes out.
I don't mind having to play a dude.. 90% of my first games growing up were male only main character lol... sometimes I feel like this has made me "confused" in life LOL.

Assassin's Creed is worth trying, just get ready for repetitiveness XD I never actually finished it.. but the story is pretty decent and original... and the violence is pretty cool :D
I also have to finish Bioshock.. but man.. that game scares the crap out of me, I am so jumpy lol

I'm not much of a gamer, but my best friend and I used to play this REALLY old school version of King's Quest on this old Amiga I used to have in my room. We never got very far, though. Probably because we were like 8. I wish I still had that old computer; it had some sweet games (aside from the fact that everything looked like it was drawn with KidPix--remember KidPix?!).

loll ya i remember kidpix, my parents only bought me educational type games when i was little.. like super solvers games.. which were actually pretty cool lol. My first computer was a tandy XD I never played the first few kings quests but when i was like 7 or 8 i got KQ4, and then played 4 5 and 6 - I still have 6! those games were awesome :D

I played NWN very SERIOUSLY but when I moved to the states from Korea, I lost it and really didn't feel like paying for it and I didn't have my own computer for awhile, so couldn't really play either. That brings some good memory.. heh.. =)

I play too many games for my own good I think!

I play FFXI as well, and am also on Alexander. At least now I've managed to take a more moderate approach than I used to, no more staying up until 6am and then sleeping until 2pm in order to camp Fafnir :)

Nice! I'm Vixia on Alexander if you see me sometime :) I also play a lot less now than I used to.
I'm actually trying to get my character back right now from PlayOnline, I was catnapped in January ; ;

I am absolutely addicted to The Sims 2!! I love it. I can play for hours and hours. I usually end up wasting my weekend nights playing. My husband is into Counter Strike online so we both sit at our computers and play. I love rpgs. I like Warcraft ( warcraft III and WoW) but i just don't want to pay the monthly fee to play.

I've stayed far away from online games because I don't want to get into them. I just stick to buying pc games and playing them by myself. Hah. I have The Sims 2, Alice (omg I LOVE this game), Mafia, GTA, Black and White 1 & 2, Laura Croft, The Settlers, Sim City Societies, Battlefield 1942 and loads more. I need to buy some new ones... Well, I want to. I don't need to. Which is precisely why I haven't. I'm trying to get into "healthier" habits... Lol.

I feel you, SoyLaBelleza!
I played WoW for 2-3 years. I was really, really hardcore addicted - I blame WoW for getting me fat again! I got bored of it though and started on my weight loss journey - I know I can't play WoW and lose weight at the same time - it's just not happening.

Another formerly hardcore WoW player here. :D I just cut back seriously a few months ago, at least until school is done for the year. I play a couple hours a week now, mostly my level 63 alt lately. I love questing/leveling -- my husband thinks I'm nuts. My main isn't even in a guild anymore, let alone a raiding guild; just don't have the time. Instead, I get my fix by reading Warcraft books (<3 Richard Knaak) and bugging the hubby with my lore geekiness.

I absolutely LOVE the Wii! I could play Super Mario Galaxy for hours, and playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl with friends online is too fun. I also like Lego Star Wars... I'm terrible at it, but it's probably the cutest thing ever. I've downloaded some of my favorite old games on it, too (Bubble Bobble!! woohoo!!!). And you can't beat Wii Sports when you have a party with non-gamer friends.

I should also add... in case there's anyone here who's into non-electronic gaming and afraid to speak up (I'm sure there's at least a tabletop RPGer or two around here)...

I'm a huge fan of Munchkin!!! We only own Munchkin Bites and the original (with 2 expansion packs), but our friends have most of the other ones. There's nothing better than getting 8 or 10 people together, mixing 5 or 6 decks, and playing for hours and hours.

I play WoW and Second Life. I don't consider myself "hardcore" but I do play for about an hour a day between the both. My husband is more "hardcore" into WoW. We sometimes play together, especially on the weekends. I definately do not let the computer consume me though. I watch a lot of tv... and I sleep a lot too. And I eat a lot (shame on me).

I started gaming when I was about 6 and my dad got me playing Legend of Zelda for the regular Nintendo. I'm a hardcore gamer and it's never really been too bad on the "Anti-social" scale. Mostly because my best friend and fellow gamer drive all over the country to hang with gamers we're friends with online or such. Met a lot of cool people that way.

I played WoW from closed Beta to about a month ago when I couldn't take the grind anymore. I play Pirates of the Burning Sea right now which is alright. I'm just waiting for Warhammer. I finished Portal for about the 12th time yesterday (RIP Weighted Companion Cube...) and I play Team Fortress.

I played Oblivion and highly recommend it if you like doing a lot of things besides just beating the game. I don't recommend Assassin's Creed because, as someone said, it's repetitive as **** and I don't like the combat system.Of course, all the Final Fantasy games and if you have a PSP grab the encore for FFVII. If you have a DS, hopefully they port Paper Mario over. If you have a Wii get Super Smash Brothers Brawl and if you have a PS2 or an Xbox 360 get Rock Band! ...I own too many systems.. :D

Anyway, yeah I play anything and everything; on a system or tabletop or Anime Based. I have to say though, Oolong, I don't understand why they put The Witcher on the NWN engine. That engine was plagued with issues even when it was the hot new thing.

...I'm such a nerd. I embrace it though, so it's all good.
