If I were you...
I'd LISTEN TO MY DOCTOR, rather than go behind his back.
Phentermine has been around for 30+ years and might be helpful to some - just some - but it is far from being the 'miracle weight loss' pill that everyone seems to be looking for.
In fact, there are a lot of factors that you should be aware of...that the 'online prescription mills' either gloss over or don't mention at all but you can find by looking in the PDR (Physicians Desk Reference). Your doctor should have a PDR or you can check your local library's reference section. First off, phentermine is really not meant to be taken for more than a few weeks according to the product insert. There's a bunch of other comorbidities that you NEED to be aware of before putting this into your body!
If your doctor doesn't prescribe Phentermine to you, ASK him his reasons. From your stats you are only about 20-30 pounds overweight (actually you weigh only a few pounds more than I do - I'm also 5'4" - but I lift weights on the Body for Life plan and am now a size 4!) and he will probably feel that the risks involved with Phentermine are not worth it for you. But DO ask him, don't just say, well, okay - and waste money by ordering online, because the stuff IS very pricey! (and not worth in IMO).
Take care!
