I know you have been experiencing abandonment issues by me yet again. Sorry!:(I haven't been feeling really good again. Same ol same ol. Panic attack type stuff galore. I'm not liking it. I do have a doctor appt. on the 30th so maybe I can get something going with the doc. If there isn't anything physically wrong with me, I think I'll just bite the bullet and go back on my anti-depressants. I can't keep feeling this awful all the time.
Be proud. I went to my nomination ceremony on Monday and I didn't freak out or anything. I thought and thought bout it and you it really had nothing to do with my being scared because of my weight. I have always been a nervous wreck to be in front of anyone..period. So I said "just do it" and I did and it was great. I'm tired of not living in the present. I can't go back and be thin like I was in high school. I can't be the same person I was before. I can't live in the future saying I'll do this or that when I'm thinner, because I am just missing out on too much. So it is even more important to me right now to find out what is going on with my body and start feeling better so I can quit being afraid of stuff. When this stuff happens, I get scared to leave my house and this time, I'm almost afraid to eat. I'm afraid that it may be food allergies that are going on and so if I don't eat much, it will keep the icky feeling away. That is no way to be at all.
I'm hoping and praying it isn't some major health scare. I so want to experience things in a positive way, not with this huge cloud over my head.
Sorry once again for my absence. Life has been crazy, with school, family, being under the weather, and stress. Something's gotta give and I hope its not me.

I was glad a woman won on BL as well. I enjoyed watching this show for the first time this season & will be looking forward to it again. They all did so well & truly are motivation for everyone.
Judy - too bad about your gain, but perserver & you will drop it in no time.
Princess - good choices for dinner, sounds good.
Hope everyone else is doing great.
I have had a good week so far, stayed on plan 3 days in a row & feel better for that. Had my leftover meatloaf with sweet pot & cauliflower last night & tuna sandwich on pumpernickel for lunch. Will let you know how I do when I w/i on Monday.
Weather up here has been sunny but still will be wearing jackets for awhile.
I have a tree that got blown down that I have to deal with this weekend,
so will probably have to get someone in to help with that.

Bandit, Weigh to go! Eating like you're doing will definitely lead to a :goodscale:! I have to remember the cauliflower because I like it and it's filling.
Now I know why I gain weight when the grandkids are here. My dil sleeps really soundly and the kids can't wake her up. I get up and make their breakfast and one doesn't eat it and I want to. There--that's a start. Grandma--no eating kids' foods!

Chrily - sorry to hear about your panic attacks. I understand how that can be. Besides fighting with depression i have also been struggling with anxiety issues as well as anxiety attacks when it is at its worst. I am on anti depressants and a small dose of anxiety meds as needed. I hope that you get something worked out.
Judy- Well at least you have figured out some areas to work on. It is hard to leave alone what the kids don't want to eat.
Bandit- HURRAY! Thats great you had 3 good days in a row. Keep up the good work.

Morning all and a very happy Friday to everyone... my favorite day in case you did not know :D
Went to my yoga class last night for the first time... I am sooo out of shape! It was fun though and I am glad that I dragged my butt out the door and got there. I think my scale is shot... I got on it this morning and it has me way down, I know it is too good to be true so I may go and look for a new one this weekend. I just bought that one a couple of years ago, you would think that they would last for a while but I guess they are not built that way anymore.
Any plans for the weekend anyone? It is supposed to rain here so I will most likely get some house work done and work in the yard if I can... in between the rain drops of course.

Every Friday before I come to this site, I smile and think about how happy you are on Fridays. Hey, I'm glad you got to yoga and it worked out okay. Sounds good. And yes, I know what you mean about items not working anymore for any length of time. It's a pet peeve of mine.
Well, for this weekend my daughter in law and grandkids are here through Sat. night or Sunday morning. So far, so good.
I got on the scale and was shocked since I ate well yesterday but the scale is way up. I'm hoping it's just salt and will go away. Well, I'm not going to dwell on this, but do the right thing again today and see where it takes me. It may very well be my body telling me it's time to switch to Core. I think I've written that about three times in the last few months, so maybe I should listen to my body.

Afternoon ladies! I am getting ready to shut down my computer for the day and head home but I wanted to stop by and see what is going on. W/I bright and early tomorrow morning for me... keep your fingers crossed for me.
I forgot to mention in this morning post but I was awakened at about 5:40 this morning by an earth quake... 5.4 on the scale, we don't get them very often here but we sure get a wide variety of weather here in the Midwest. We have had some after shocks today but they have not been too bad. I have to check the basement when I get home to make sure we did not have structural damage to the house but it was not that bad so we should be fine.

Today was nice warm sunny day. I worked today since I was extra busy this week & then went tonight and bought an electric chainsaw. So, tomorrow will attempt to tackle the tree in my yard. Hoping that goes well.
My gf came down last night & we walked to library then had our dinner.
So that was nice evening & the walk was a good one.

Happy Saturday all!
Well I had a really great W/I this morning and just had to hop online and share with you all... I lost 3 lbs... as an added bonus, I found out that the high end of my goal zone is 160, I thought it was 153 but I was wrong... so, as of right now, I am 19.4 lbs from my goal! I will still work to get to 150 like I originally wanted to but it means that I will get to life time quicker then I thought!
I would like to work for WW part time but you have to be within 10 lbs of your goal at the very most... so 9 more lbs and I can put in my application!!! I could use the extra income right now and what better way to earn it then to work for WW!!!!!!

Princess - congrats, that is fabulous loss & you would be great working for WW - good luck with that.
Bought the chainsaw & my friend came over & helped saw the tree. What a job - he cut & I hauled the logs to my driveway, so then I can take some each time I go to trailer & the rest of the branches I have to cut up smaller & put out for pick-up. It took all day to do that & was a real workout for sure.
The weather here yesterday as great - felt like summer instead of spring.
How's everyone else doing?

I'm glad to see some very good activity here this weekend. My daughter in law and the grandkids took off early afternoon and I'm trying to recoup. Whew! What a whirlwind. It was good to try different activities and we had a nice time, but I'm exhausted and also very disappointed in myself and food.
I just pointed out a hamburger and it was 8 points without the bun. Holy moley==that's just much too much. I am still contemplating Core, and I will probably make the change on Wednesday, my WI
Princess, my goodness==an earthquake. I didn't think you were in earthquake country. Glad you're okay. Hey, wasn't your WI wonderful. :goodscale: :bravo: I really knew you'd lose weight this week but you had to keep at it to make it all work. Good for you and aren't you smart to check your goal weight. Wow, that's fabulous. You are so close. You will definitely make it by your birthday and working for WW's is a very good idea--no weekly fees and a welcoming environment and pay to boot.

Bandit, smart to get someone to help you with your tree. It sounds like a tremendous amount of work, but I'm glad you had the energy to do it. :carrot: You're doing great with your exercise and walking, etc. Keep up the good work.
I got on the :tread: once while they were here, but needed to do more. Even though I walked through the aquarium with the kids and then walked by shopping the next day for 6 hours it's not the same intensity as the :tread:
Then we had a barbecue on Saturday night and I overate, I just didn't realize by how much until I pointed out the burger. WEll, I'm going to be better prepared as we come into this next season.
My other kids came out and we had all the grandkids together and we had a really nice visit. I'm getting my head on straight, but I'm thrilled for Princess and Bandit who are doing so well. :cheer:

I just appear and reappear like Houdini! I'm taking a break from all my work today. I got all the homework done yesterday so I could spend the day with the family,...sort of. Me and hubby tackled the loads and loads of laundry and rearranged our bedroom. It looks more spacious now.
I'm finally feeling somewhat better. On top of the panick attacks I've been battling a cold. I had a sore throat from last Monday and now it is finally feeling like it is going away. Sore throats are the worst. I hate them.
Well it looks like we've had some ups and downs this week for everyone. I'm not sur where I am at. I haven't weighed myself for a few days but I was at 230.5 so I think I am down a bit.
I won't get personal with everyone, but I just have to say to Cherry:
I swear, we could be twins. We sound so much alike, it's scary. I sit here and fight and fight with myself about whether I am depressed and panicky all the time. I don't know how it all started or where it comes from. I am naturally a high-strung person I guess but it is so hard to admit you have a mental instability. Sometimes I feel so inadequate and different from everyone--like I can't handle reality without meds make me feel somewhat weaker than others. I know you probably have felt that at times too. I just want you to know, it means a whole lot to me to hear that I am not alone. Not that being depressed and anxious is a good thing, but it's nice to be understood. Does that make sense?
Well back to the laundry mess. I'm going to kick back and watch Juno later and work on my MIS310 homework. Next week is finals week. Ewwww! Then I get two weeks off and start my summer marketing class. After that, I only have 9 more classes to go. I'm getting excited. It has been a long road and hopefully it pays off.

Morning all and happy Monday! I had a very nice weekend, DH put some ribs on the grill yesterday morning and DS and his GF came over and had supper with us last evening, the ribs were awesome and it was fun to see the kids. Saturday we had some company also, MIL and SIL came over for a quick visit. Other then that we did lots of yard work and got the shopping done, very productive and nice over all.
Chris: Best wishes to you on your classes and also on managing your panic and depression, neither of those are easy to deal with. My only thoughts on that are this, I truly think that once you get on track with your eating and exercise you will see a nice change in both the anxiety and depression... I think that our self image plays a big role in our over all health and emotions so I think that maybe getting a handle on one may help with the other... if that makes sense.
Cherry: hope all is well with you!
Judy: I understand what visitors do to our normal routines and over all eating and exercise... I have faith that you will get back on track. Core may be a good idea.
Bandit: Sounds like you had your hands full with that tree! I would not know how you handle a chain saw if my life depended on it... LOL. Not sure the world would be safe if I had one of those. What a wonderful friend you have to help you with such a huge job!

Princess - that was my first experience with chainsaw & I couldn't handle it properly at all. When I tried I couldn't keep it going, you have to keep pressure on it or it stops, so my friend did the sawing & I did the hauling.
It was lots of work for sure & I my arms are stiff today.
But, I now own one if I need it in future.
Nice & sunny up here today. Just had lunch so thought I would see what is going on. Had a ww bun with ham & lettuce & abit of coleslaw, very good.

Princess- I was reading an article in FIRST magazine and with exercise, you can decrease your depression by up to 65% I think. Wow. I just wish things would start working out right around here. Just when you think it is going to be okay, we get hit with another problem. I got called at work today from a collection agency that has roughly $3000 of our medical bills. I don't have the money to pay them and so they are turning it into their legal dept. and then I'll get to go through the whole embarrassment of being served court papers and then my dad will get served to garnish my wages. Bad thing (or good thing, depending on how you look at it) I do not make enough for them to garnish anything. I think most of my problems stem from our financial situation. It is getting too hard.

Christina - make arrangements to pay them something monthly (even if it is smaller than what they want) instead of court. ALso check into credit counselling - they will take all your debts & figure something out for you to repay creditors with your situation so you won't get garnishees, liens etc.
I worked in collections years ago, and this is what some people ended up doing. Might take longer to get things paid, but you will stop being chased by creditors.

Chris: I agree with Bandit 100%! I worked in collections also a while back, they will try and strong arm you into a higher payment then you can afford but don't let them do it... Credit Counseling is a good idea also. It does not have to go to court especially for 3000.00, it is a lot of money to you and I but for them it is small potatoes. If the person that calls you will not work with you then ask to speak to their manager and keep going until you get a person that is willing to take what you can pay... 10.00 a week or what ever.

It was nice to see everyone posting. I am not doing well in my eating but i did find time to exercise a couple times last week and hope to do it again this week.
Chrily: Thanks for the post for me. I know what you mean. Sometimes you forget others deal with the same things you do. I have a hard time dealing with any little bit of stress. My meds are not working well and i have been on a rollercoaster trying to decide if i want to change my meds AGAIN. Just hang in there.
Princess- Hurray on your 3 pound loss that is great. You are so close to your goal. It must be so exciting.
Judy- Oh grilling out sounds so yummy. I would have probably over eaten in that situation to but now you know what to prepare for. It sounds like you got to spend some time with family. That is always nice.
Bandit- That is great that you had a friend that could help you with that tree. Sounds like you were busy.

Well I got a bit of news today... heard from my WW leader via her website and she has info posted on there about working for WW... you have to be within 2 lbs of your goal weight (not 10) and within the normal BMI range... 160 will not cut the BMI range for me so I had to lower it to 158. I will double check my numbers with them this Saturday while I am there for W/I.
Cherry: I sure hope it gets better for you real soon...

Morning all and happy Wednesday! Another sunny and warm day here! Love it! Just makes you feel better when you are having beautiful weather... Did a bunch of yard work last evening and while I did not go for a walk I think that pushing a mower and sweeping the driveway counts for something :D
I will get a walk in tonight hopefully. Not much else is new here really.
Judy: We get earthquakes here every now and then, there is a fault line that runs in between Illinois and Indiana that acts up every now and then. We were still having after shocks as of Monday... crazy! We get it all here in the Midwest but I would not live anywhere else... ok, maybe Hawaii :D
Bandit: I can understand how hard a saw like that would be to use... it boggles my mind and I hope I never have to attempt that, although the neighbors may have a good laugh watching me. Are you having good weather up your way also? I miss watching the BL, wish they would have more then one per year.

I'm still in the doldrums and am having a hard time lifting myself out. I know I can do this. I'm heading to WW's and I'll listen to the mtg. and I know I'll come out feeling better. Hey, it's spring--we've gotten through the hard part of the year and there's every reason to be optimistic. I'm going to baby step, do Core, and drink lots of water and get back on the :tread:

I'm officially on Core for this week. My WI wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (note to self) and I was up .6# after drinking a cup of tea--which I usually don't do. I'm relieved and encouraged. I'm up a total of 3.6#, but I know I can knock that off since I recently did. The challenge is to keep going.
In any case, my dh and I walked for 1 1/2miles along the boardwalk at the beach and it felt great. Much nicer than the :tread: I'm up for the challenge and I can still make 15#down by July 4th. I'm sure you're all with me in how much I hate to lose and regain, etc. but I think it's part of what I'm allowing to happen and I have to remember Boot Camp.
Beautiful weather here--glorious to be in the sun after the winter.

My gf came for our usual Wed dinner & we had seafood pasta, which was really good & some white wine & salad.
I haven't been doing so great at night with snacking again. That is one thing I really will have to get under control.

Went for a walk last night, not real far, just about 1.5 miles but at least I got it in. I have yoga tonight so that will count for something too. I need to lose .8 to hit my 45 lb lost mark... hoping I can do that this week but we will have to see. I have not purchased a new scale yet and my current one is not too reliable so I will just have to wait and see I guess.
Judy: Good luck on Core, I know it has worked for you in the past. You will get back on track, I have faith in you!
Bandit: Seafood pasta sounds wonderful! I wish my DH liked fish and seafood more because I love it and could eat it a few times a week but for him it is a struggle to eat it at all.

Bandit, that seafood dish sounds yummy. I've been checking out the Hungry Girl site and they have good ideas on how to de-calorize foods. You're doing great. You'll get the late night snacking under control.
Princess, you are soooooooo close. Here's a :cheer: for an upcoming great WI. :goodscale: Are you amazed that you've done so well? I really applaud you. I love that you keep on keepin' on even when the times get tough and I love your attitude.
As for me, I switched to Core yesterday and I think I need the restrictions right now. I was eating too much bread and Core encourages me to think of what else I can eat when I'm hungry.

Bandit, you encouraged me to get outside too. We're expecting a rainy weekend, so your idea of getting out now is great. I really am an inside person, but once I start outside with cleanup, etc. I like it.
Core is going great. I've already knocked off some "fluffy" weight--exercise and no bread are helping a lot. Hey, I tried making a canned salmon salad yesterday and it was delish on top of salad greens. Here goes--1/4 can of salmon, 1T. lower fat mayo, 1T ff sourcream, 1 apple diced, and 1 stalk of celery, diced, lots of grilled seasoning. I have never made it before--I have trouble with canned tuna and although I sometimes crave it I also sometimes
can't stand to look at it. So--that's my success for yesterday. I ended the day with a popcorn snack and felt virtuous and full. I'm out of the doldrums and plan on keepin' on.

Well, today I offically rejoined ww. I have been struggling for awhile & hoping getting back to meetings will help me. Boy, doesn't take long to regain weight. So, I am going to treat it as if I am brand-new and follow all the rules. My w/i day will be Fridays and hoping for a loss by next week.

Happy Saturday! Well I had a fantastic W/I today! I lost 3.2 lbs! I got my 45 lbs star today and that was a great feeling! I am 18 lbs from goal... if I truly keep at it and don't make excuses for bad behavior I can make my goal or be darn close by my birthday in September... very excited about that!
Bandit: I think it is fabulous that you re-joined! I truly think it will be just the thing to get you back to where you want to be.
Judy: thanks so much for all of your cheer leading to all of us! It means a lot. Good luck with Core, there was lady in class this morning that switched to Core last week... she lost over 5 lbs today at W/I! I was really impressed!

Hi ladies - thanks for all the encouragement & cheers. Really nice to know we are here to support one another & for the long haul.
Today my daughter is coming home for awhile to get her passport & things for Vegas. She leaves on Monday after her last exam. This is her 1st trip there since she was underage & no sense taking kids there as far as I am concerned. Hoping they have a good safe trip. Always worry when she goes away with a group. But I am sure they will have a great time. I always love going there.
Goal this weekend is to get my ww stuff organized & go back through some of my favorite recipes & plan out my menu for the next few days.

Hi ladies - hope you are having a wonderful OP weekend.
I am heading outside to get in some yard time before the rain comes.
Also this upcoming week is suppose to get cold & actually go down to freezing at night. That is crazy & why I never plant anything until after long weekend in May.
I stayed pretty much on programme over the last few days, except last night had to use a few flex points for 2 pieces of pizza for my dinner. But, that is what they are for. Just boiled up some eggs for this week - think I will have a egg salad wrap with lots of lettuce for lunch tomorrow.
Haven't planned dinner yet - what is everyone having?

Happy Sunday all! Sunny but cool here today, we are supposed to get the same weather as bandit... Mother nature is confused! They are calling for temps to drop by mid-week! Ugh!

Bandit: Great job on getting back on plan! You are doing fantastic... our "frost" date here in Indiana is May 15th and I try and stick to that... I get super excited about this time of the year and it is tempting to start planting but I did that one year and lost it all... too much money to take a chance. Best wishes to your daughter for a fantastic time in Vegas! I have never been there... maybe some day.
I did go for a short bike ride yesterday and about a 2 mile walk and it felt really good! Will go for another on this afternoon. Have a great weekend ladies!

Weather seems to be the same all over. After a week of sunny, warm days, we're facing rain and chilly air. We've turned off the heat, but my dh made a fire in the fireplace--last fire of the season.
Yesterday the food for the birthday celebration was yummy and I contained myself. However, I also didn't make the time to exercise, so when I finish this I'm hopping on the :tread: I won't push it, but I do need to move.
Since my daughter got take-out, we all ordered what we wanted. I had herbed roast chicken and mashed potatoes. WEll, the food was enough for three hungry people. Yummy, but I took a normal WW portion and put the rest in the fridge. Since the mashed potatoes were calling me, I threw them out this morning. Okay--I had two tablespoons of them first, but that's not bad! Nice get together. I love it that my kids and their spouses get along. This is a very good thing.
Since I had a late breakfast, I think I'm skipping lunch, having an early dinner and ending the day with Core popcorn. That'll work for me. This is very important since I'm going out to lunch tomorrow with my book club and I really want to see a great WI this week.
You all take care and keep up the encouragement. It's my lifeblood.

Morning all and happy Monday! How was every bodies weekend? Mine was pretty good, got in a walk and a bike ride both days! Woke up with my TOM today... just had it two weeks ago, not sure what is going on... maybe the change coming on but I am just not sure. Hopefully it will be far gone by next W/I!!!!!
Judy: A fire sounds fabulous! We do not have a fire place but DH and I both would like one... Your family sounds wonderful!
Bandit: How was your weekend? Are you going to plant a vegetable garden this year?
