Support Groups - Pointer Sista's challenge: Week two.

The rules are simple... you get to earn 4 points per day, that is a total of 28 points per week. If you get 25 points or more, give yourself a reward. It doesn't have to be big, a new lipstick, pocket book, a pedicure, or time for you, just you.

You can earn 1 point for drinking all your water:cheers: , 1 point for eating clean:hungry: , 1 point for your workout:lifter: , and 1 point for doing what ever you forget or avoid. ie: taking your vitamins, or tracking all your food intake:write: ...this is something you can decide.

At the end of the week tally up your points. Make this fun, and remember you do deserve a reward... :encore:

I got 3 points for Sat and Sun, each, which brings me to 21 for the week. Yikes! I need to do better this week, for sure.

Ok, my 4 challenges for this week will be:

1) no junk food
2) eat complex carbs
3) get some exercise everyday
4) when I feel like overeating, I promise to write out my feelings (stress, boredom, etc.) instead of eating them

I didn't get much water in today, and it's way too late to try and catch up....I'd never sleep! :yikes:

So today is 3.

I got 4 points. I seem to do that on Mondays, lol. Yesterday I started a journal to write and sort out my thoughts when I'm feeling the need to do some mindless eating. If nothing else, it kept me busy until the munchies passed.

3 points today...I caught myself doing a little mindless eating around lunch time instead of just sitting down with a light meal. Darn those chips anyway! Oh well...they are gone now and I will bring NO more into the house. (poor Mom, she loves them) :)

I got 4 more points yesterday. That's 8 of 28.

Sue - I know what you mean, hon. There are many foods I just can't bring into the house or I may inhale them. Neal buys candy bars while he's in town, and eats them in his truck. Well, he USED to... he can't drive now. I'll have to get him some to keep in the shed away from me, lol.

How are you others doing this week?

Ok, I'm officially joining!!

1. Track all my food for WW
2. Get in at least 30 min of exercise on the days that I don't work.
(working 12 hr shifts 3 days a week on my feet all day is enough those
days)
3. Drink more water.
4. No chocolate!!!

Hi, I'm back and want in this week. I really did pretty good last week, but didn't get to post. I found it easy to eat only when hungry and eat until satisfied. Even did good eating out and at DD in-laws house on Sunday. I probably averaged between 21-25 pts for the week. So I am really proud of the fact that I did not overeat and I got my water in most days and remembered to take my vitamins everyday. I just didn't get to be as active some days as I would have liked. I'll be able to post each day now and hoping to do really good this week.

Mon - 4 pts
Tues - 4 pts
Wed - 4 pts

I got 4 for Wednesday but only 2 for yesterday. So that makes 5 more - 13/28.

Yesterday's cookout got me! What got me off track was 2 cookies and a bun that was not a complex carb.

Today so far is a 4 pointer, but we'll see. :crossed:

I got 3 Wed. and again Thurs. Just don't seem to be able to get all 4. Wed. I ate after 8 pm. Thurs. I didn't get the veggies in.
Today is looking okay if I can get past the 8 pm. munchies.

I got all 4 for yesterday, so I have 18/28. I had an addition error before by adding 6 to 8 and getting 13. :dizzy: Hey, I never said I was good at math.

I have a good chance of making my goal this week.

I just got back from walking (to beat the rain) so that is done for today. Whew! I walk fast when I walk alone and my legs are rubbery. :)

I went to a wedding this afternoon, and skipped the cake and punch. I wasn't hungry, anyway, because I had a planned snack beforehand.

And I'm getting ready to walk now so that'll be 4 for today!

I won't get my full 28 this week but at least I'm closer than last week...I think?? (I better go check)

I got all 4 for yesterday. 22/28 so far. If I earn at least 3 today, I'll make goal.

Sue - yay for making do with the ice water.

Trish - I like reporting in here, too. Makes us accountable, and easy to support one another.

Marti - I can't remember how many (few!) points I got last week, either. :dizzy: But I know I called myself a slacker, and didn't make goal, so it wasn't nearly enough, lol.

Well I got my 2 yesterday! :yikes: Now how did that happen?

Didn't get my walk or ab exercises in.....was busy rearranging the back bedroom and hubby was home so, spent time w/him.

So...my grand total for the week is:23/28

So close!

I'll start this weeks thread, but won't close this one until everyone gets their final scores in.

So how did you all do??

Well, I got 3 for yesterday. It would have been 4, but I had 2 oatmeal raisin cookies. Thing is, I had points for them, but have been staying away from junk food as a challenge. So I did make goal, but Just Barely!
