Weight Watchers - a friendly word
flabby

I need a friendly word from someone to motivate me to get back on track or to just kick me in the butt. I have over 200lbs to lose; I'm 45 and feel motivated to lose weight. The strangest thing is I really disliked getting attention. I have a 21-year-old daughter ready to get married and want to take off some weight before the wedding. I know that I have a lot of weight to take off, but for now this is my goal. I hope that this not just one of though "promises" I make to myself. In the past my habits has been to making "promises" to myself about changing my behavior but realize that those "promises" were ether lies or I’m just not ready to change. Or I’m telling myself this to avoid feeling guilty and anxious about not making the right changes I need to make. The thing that scare me are making the right food, exercise, and soul healing chooses.

Hello ladies....Sounds like your both on the right track. Now to keep the train moving. Just do this day by day. I've lost my fair share of people. 80 off...back on....45 off back on a few times....38 off ...and so on. This time I feel different. I know it's my time right now. Plus now, my son and his girlfriend sprung on me that they are getting married in August. So, that really has me motivated a little more.
I hate to excercise but, have been walking more and more. And it really makes me feel better when I do.
I'm down 23 pounds total since last year March 30th when I started yet again. I had been down 38 and then came September 11th and work went nuts. (I work for an airline...we were all worried about our jobs and you name it...we ate it). And by Christmas I put 28 back on. I started fresh in January and am down 11 pounds since mid January. I weigh in again tomorrow morning. So, wish me luck... I think I did pretty good this week. Last week I ruined it for myself. I gained a pound and an a quarter but, I didn't walk once. I had a migraine for 3 days. And it just took alot out of me. But, now I'm doing better.
So, keep up the good work. You'll make it for your daughters wedding. I don't expect to have it all off for my sons wedding. I still have about 90 pounds to go but, I'm giving it all I can before and will work that much harder afterwards to finish.
Sue...you've done great. Any tips for me? Keep up the good work.
Take care!

HI. THIS IS A NOTE TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO JUST TAKE IT A DAY AT A
TIME, AND THEN A WEEK AT A TIME.
IF YOU HAVE A BAD DAY THEN MAKE YR VERY NEXT MEAL ON PROGRAM. DONT
WAIT TIL TOMORROW. GET OUT YOUR
LIL JOURNAL, MARK DOWN THE 'BAD"
MEAL, & THEN MAKE YOUR VERY NEXT
MEAL A GOOD ONE. I'VE LOST 60 LBS
IN A YEAR, AND RIGHT NOW I'M STUCK
ON A PLATEAU FOR 4 (YES...FOUR)
MONTHS...IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY.
I HAD TO GO ON STERIODS AS AN
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS FOR
A KNEE INJURY. AND SINCE THEN I'VE
NOT LOST WEIGHT. I LOSE A LB, THEN
GAIN IT...LOSE 2 LBS,,THEN GAIN BACK
OVER AND OVER AND OVER EVERY
SINGLE WEEK SINCE NOVEMBER.
BUT I'M NOT GIVING UP...AND NEITHER
SHOULD YOU....GO THE THE BIG ONE.
LOSE THOSE POUNDS...AND MAKE
YOURSELF HAPPY.

Susan - you are an inspiration. I was glad to hear you are sticking with it this time. I am a yo-yo with my weight. In the last 13 years I have been a size 6 through size 22, the size 6 was due to the diet pills I was prescribed to use. Although they worked while on them, I was nervous, hyper all the time and not sleeping. Once I got off them, I tried all kinds of diets after being pregnant for two years. I would lose 20 lbs., then gain 30 lbs. and this continued until now. I too have decided this is it. No more excuses.
Each day is a new day and even if I only lose .5# that is better than gaining at the rate I was. So for those of you that don't think you are going to make it, remember you didn't gain the weight in a day but you are gonna lose it day by day.
Good Luck All!
