You came here and posted-- a great first step. I also pick up the phone and call another OAer. I pray and ask for the willingness and ability to stay abstinent. I read OA literature. I find something to do that will keep my hands busy and my mind off the food.

Hi Spiritangel,
I read your post and thought I might offer a couple of thoughts esp. when there is a feeling of being hungry.
My first thought is are you working with a Sponsor and discussing your food plan on a daily basis?
OA suggests we seek the counsel of a dietition, Dr or nutritionist to help guide us in what our daily calorie intake should be and what our normal wt should be.
The general rule for women is 100 pounds for the first 5 feet and 5 pounds for each additonal inch. So using that formula your ideal wt is 125 pounds. Your goal of 115 pounds may not be the best wt for you.
Us compulsive overeaters tend to go to extremes, we over eat or under eat. That's why a Sponsor can be helpful.
Just be sure you are getting enough nutrition. Again, just some information to think about.
Take care,
Bumps

Well, I see this was posted yesterday so I pray your HP gave you the strength to not give into the temptation.

This is the word that comes to mind for me is "temptation" when I want to eat. When it does I say you have a choice you can or you can walk away. That usually gives me enough santity to walk away. This is now.

When I first came back to OA I had to leave the kitchen and sometimes the house, no kidding? It can grab on to me like a magnet. It also is great to have someone to call and give them the chance to say I'm too busy rather me just assuming that. Reading lit helps, plus if you belong to any of the BigBook or other Yahoo forums reading those has helped me, going to an on line meeting talking about it to someone else, writing about it. Any of the tools are great to pick up.

Call or send a food plan to your sponsor this has really helped me and I remember that food isn't on the plan today. Or this time isn't on my food plan.

Whatever works do it!

Don't know if this helps any but hope you made it through and will use some of the suggestions on this forum. As Marny said post post post.

hugs
patd
