Interesting read. These sorts of things always make me want to see the pictures they use though... I wonder what I would have chosen.

I'd like to see the photos, too. Any study like this could contain inherent biases on the part of the researchers. But I do believe that the results are accurate.

I wonder why they didn't use the standard Figure Rating Scale...this scale is used in tons of body image research.

I went through ScienceDirect and found the original journal article. The article addresses far more concerns than the brief NYT piece lets on.
