Lighten Up! - What Is Your Favorite TV Commercial ?

Just wondering what TV commercials people are enjoying at these days. My favorites are the "cows"... for California Cheese...

I love the happy cows commercials too! Can you believe peta is, -or has sued over those commercials for false advertising? I remember hearing something about that a while ago. they claim the cows aren't happy. Anyways, I do giggle every time I see them.

I generally don't get to see too many commercials living in a house with a man with his trigger finger poised on the remote control...

I like the one with the toddler at the computer - he's doing online trading and making a bundle. Said his friends asked him what he was going to do with his "extra coin" so he nods behind him to a clown in the background. Said he decided to hire Bobo the clown here and in retrospect, clowns are pretty scary. It's a cute commercial. This is one of a pair of commercials that started to air at the Superbowl game.

My favorite is the Orbit gum commercial.

That is hilarious!!

Don't know if I have a favorite but the cavemen in the GEICO ad is pretty clever.

The ad that prompted me to start this thread was the new Mastercard "Priceless" ad... the priceless part is "giving your kitchen the night off"... show's utensils soaking in the sink (hot tub) all the gadgets dancing around... looking in the frig... hard to explain here... but its so cute, you'll remember it if you see it......

My favorite commercials are almost anything vintage or retro (except, of course, ones that were sexist or promoted smoking). I find TV nowadays is...well not exactly my cup of tea, even decent commercials are rare.

This is my fav. It's a canadian breast cancer awareness commericial. Unfortunately it was pulled off the air rather quickly. I find it a rather amusing take on such a serious topic.... I hope I don't offend anyone.

I admit to having a wee crush on the Free Credit Report dot com Baby. He's pretty darned cute! I sing the song all the time.

Dh and I know all the words to the Freecreditreport . com commercials. They're definitely favs of ours!

I think I have to go with the free credit report dot com ones as well. The one where they pull up to the girls in the car cracks me up! The songs have a nice little ring to them as well, lol.

I am loving the Jeep commercial with the birds that fly in to sing. Something about those two birds just hanging out, singing. So cool.

But I love the baby with the "extra coin" and the orbit gum one as well.

I also am strangely attached to the talking stain commercial for Tide to Go.

My all time favorites, though, are the Pedigree adoption ads with voiceovers by David Duchovny...they make me weep every time!

MOTO... that jeep commercial is hilarious.. my fav part is the wolf at the end..

Currently, my favorite commercial is the Burger King one about the cheesy tater tot things. I love when the bed says "I could be filled with cheese..." in that sad voice.

The Geico commercials with the movie stars (joan rivers) or singers (peter frampton)...they are so silly.

Gotta love the Geico Gecko.....he tries to be so suave and debonair, but can't figure out how to drink from a water fountain! I love the freecreditreport ones too - the pirates in the restaurant are hilarious! Catchy song....also the M&M songs are catchy too

Lately I've been laughing at the Progressive car insurance ones. The one with the guy who says "saved over 350 dollars" and the cashier girl gets all excited and says it over the loud speaker and then he says wow, and she all excitedly says wow and then says, yeah i know, i say it louder... or something along those lines... it makes me laugh each time... and the windex commercials with the birds playing tricks on the guy making him walk into the sliding glass door. The California happy cow ones are great too, my fave of those are the cows ringing the door bell on the farmers house and then snickering when he closes the door! It's nice to watch some silly commercials. :cb:

I love the Ieka( i think that is how you spell it) the one where the mom is like, "time for dinner little munchkin" And she does this as he is a small boy then as a tween and every time he stops what he is doing and follows her out of the room. Then as he is a teenager she says it to him and he is like, "you're ruining my life" I LOVE it. :D

My one time favorite in Cyprus was a commercial during this Christmas holidays that were for a fund raising. It starts with this little boy going to his mum in the living room, where all the presents are stucked under the tree. It goes like this.

Boy: Mum, do you love me?

Mum: *surprised* What kind of question is that?

Boy: Mum, do you love me?

Mum: *pointing at gifts* What are all those packets tell you?

Boy: That you spent a lot of money. Now tell me, do you love me?

Cheesy but I found it so cute and appropriate.

My fav. commercial has been the Tide To Go Stick commercial. The one where the guy is interviewing for a job and he has a huge stain on his shirt. While the guy is talking, the stain is mumbling a bunch of jibberish, just enough so that you cannot completely make out what the man is saying. The guy who is conducting the interview is obviously not paying attention to what the interviewee is saying because he's so focused on the stain. Cracks me up everytime - mostly because of the way that the stain is "talking" lol.

OMG I ALMOST DIED LAUGHING!! I HAVE GOT TO WATCH IT AGAIN!

I can't find it to post, but my favorite is the one with the chubby little boy who narrates something like:

"I had a drinking problem." (It shows him drinking soda or some other sugary thing)

"I neglected my relationships." (You see him playing video games as his dog looks sadly on).

And there is a little more that I am forgetting to add.

Then the little boy tells how he is taking better care of himself by getting exercise and eating right, and that things are looking up.

So cute!

I like a lot of these, but we honestly don't watch that many commercials because we tivo most of our shows! lol. I will have to check the ones on you tube when I get home, can't watch them here at work...........

Hahah I just started playing the game. I stayed away from it because I was in school and I didn't want it to consume my time. That's changed!!

My favorite is the Discovery Channel commercial where the astronauts start singing and then it cycles through others singing the song :) My fav part is when the tribal man jumps out and sings "boomdiadda!" hehe

I'm not sure how I feel about it but it strikes my heart. The one where the cartoon woman says "him on a diet" and he shrinks all over. Then she says "Me on a diet" and only her boobs shrink. Folks, I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY BOOBIES!!!!!!

I like many of the commercials listed, but one of my favs is the IKEA commercial. It has been mentioned. It makes me laugh every time.

The Huggie commercial with the duck is one of my favorites, too.

How can you not smile? Also, the new Macdonalds coffee commercials where the people are so relieved that Mickyds is serving coffee and they can stop predending to be so pretentious! I laugh every time.:D

One of my favorite commercials is the one for Diet Pepsi Maxx. The one playing the song, "What is Love," with the head shaking that Chris Kattan made famous some years back on Saturday Night Live. He (Chris Kattan) actually appears at the end of the commercial saying "stop it"

I like the Baskin Robbins commercials. Especially the two-part one where the little boy has to get clean before they go. The father hoses him down. Then the little boy says, "Can we go now?". His little voice cracks me up. :lol: Then the Dad hoses him down as he wasn't quite clean yet. :lol:

Just recently there has been an Angel Soft toilet paper commercial where the guy is feeling the T.P. and he says "Jeez Louise, this is soft" (or something to that effect) and then Louise pops up and says "Holy Mackeral something, something something" and then the fish comes down on a cloud with a harp and he says something about bananas and then they walk in.

I just saw it today and cracked up laughing.

And since I'm a Colts fan, I love all the Peyton Manning commercials. Hilarious. Especially the ones with Eli. But that might also be because I think they're both dreamy, haha.

There is a good budlight commercial...the swear jar. The girl has a swear jar on her desk and everytime someone in the office swears they have to put money in it......she says they will use the money to buy a case of budlight for the office....so everyone starts cursing (of course all you hear is beeps) but it is too funny!

My BF loves the cave men commercials.
