Ahhh life is good and my maintenance has been going good thus far. Rock on another year of maintenance, because I can continue to do this for the long haul. Balancing it all (the good foods plus "the forbidden foods") makes it so much easier for me to stay the course and FOREVER seems attainable going this route.
1 year down- a lifetime yet to go.... I can do this, only 365 days and it will be my 2 year maintenance anniversary. Of course I do not think that far ahead, anything can happen in a years time. So instead I FOCUS on each week now and I still try and make healthy choices for the majority of my meals. I know I certainly am not IMMUNE to weight gain, it can happen to anybody if they are not careful.
I shall continue cruising along on the maintenance highway with my training wheels still attached, because I will always consider myself a maintainer in training somewhat because being a professional maintainer will take many many years. Maybe when I have 5 or more years of maintenance experience under my belt, then I just may consider myself a pro once I get to that point.
