Weight Watchers - What Happened To Applebees??

I love Applebee's Weight Watcher Menu, especially their Onion Soup au Gratin and Steak & Shrimp entree.

Last time I ate at Applebee's the WW menu was gone :o

I was forced to have a side salad & be on my way...

Anyone else notice this at their local Applebees? :?:

I ate there today in Wasau, WI, and it still had the WW menu.

I ate there 2 weeks ago and it was still there. Our Leader says WW is in the middle of a 5 year committment with Applebees and everyone is hoping that it goes longer than that. That's odd that it's gone from your Applebees

Where are you from, Want2LoseCutie? I'm in Minnesota and the two Applebees I go to both have the WW menu listed on the website

I'm in NW MN and the Applebee's in Fargo and Grand Forks (both in ND) still have the WW menu. The menu itself is much smaller and in a booklet format. The WW menu was on the last inside page.

Did you ask about it? I did notice that less attention was drawn to the WW section of the menu. You could easily order off of the WW section without anyone noticing that you didn't order an "ordinary" dish. It just looked like part of the regular menu (but was also on the last page, but it wasn't in booklet form, just part of the last page).

Also, even when restaurants take something off of a menu, they often will make the dish when requested if at all possible. Did you go for lunch? I've also known some Applebees to have separate lunch and dinner menus.

BTW, I meant the whole Applebee's menu is now in more of a booklet form instead of a larger size menu. It's kind of short with wide pages. ;) After I wrote my other message, I was trying to figure out if it read that I meant the WW section was like a booklet. LOL

SOmetimes restaurant chains will have independant owners who are not subkect to the chain's menu items, so they don't have to have the WW options. However it is also possible that it is a seperate menu that you have to ask for. You could call and ask if they have the WW menu and if they do then maybe the next time you go and don't see the menu, you'll know to ask for it.

That's how I remember the WW section before, as separate short pages within the menu, but when we went today, the weight watcher's section was just one section that shared the page with like beverages or something. It was maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the page, just a new paragraph really.

However, I am bummed that they took the shrimp & steak option off the menu. This was in NJ. I also noticed Applebees removed it from their website menu. Bummer.

Applebees changes the W/W menu often.

I know!!! I loved the steak and shrimp but it's gone! Just that one dish was gone, and the tilapia. Of course, my TWO FAVORITE things! I go to Applebees more than anywhere else primarily because of those dishes! And now they're gone! :(

I was also bummed to find that the steak & Shrimp Skewers were no longer on the menu. I would order that every time.

Some Applebee's still carry the steak n shrimp skewers and some don't. The ones here in Central MN that I have been to recently (Willmar and Hutchinson) Don't have the Steak n Shrimp...but they do have the tilapia...my new favorite.

They took the shrimp and steak one away where I live. I loved it. I also paired it with the soup. :D

Just a note to anyone that uses the WW menu at Applebees, the Garlic Herb Chicken, ask them to put the goop (glaze) on the side....to me it was very very salty & ruined the dish. Maybe you'll like it, but I was very disappointed

They still have it in the Applebees in Florida, they even have a frequency punch card they gave me when I joined ww for everytime you eat at applebees you get a punch on the card. You can earn a free dessert after 5 visits and a free entree after 10 visits! Some great marketing technique!!!

The Applebee's by my house closed down. It was never really busy.

I noticed that the skewers were gone :( They always take the good things off the menu, like the little cheesecake dessert they had a while back, that was delicious. They did add something new, it's a grilled chicken dish which is really good.
