Good morning!

We are off to clean out our old rental - if we get it clean this weekend, they might be able to rent it for March and we can bypass the final rent payment! We had to pay through March because people typically don't move in the winter here and the mgmt. blocks out those months for someone to get out of their lease.

We are dropping DS off at his godmother's and off to clean.

Joan - I did get to spend about 48 hours with DH alone. It was the first time we were both away from DS at the same time overnight. We had a good time. DH rented a sportscar and we drove to Sedona to test it out; had a a really good, long dinner at fancy place (without interruptions!from child!). Thanks for asking...

morning all...i had a great sleep in...it was nice to be lazy and not get up until 8.30. I was very tired. Now i'm just doing a bit of emails, then i'm going to walk the dog and then go ride the pony. Got wine tasting later this afternoon with DH. Hope everyone has a great day.

I was just reading through yesterday's thread and some of you are really dealing with awful weather. I hope it is better today.

Yesterday, was awful. My kiddos were crazy. I don't know what there problem was. We actually had to use a restraint yesterday and we haven't had to do that in months. On top of it my prinicipal informed me I have to move rooms again. This will be my fourth move this year and my seventh since I started at the school. This is only my third year at the school. I feel like I should never put anything on the walls because in a few months I will be moving. I joke that I just want to try every room out. My goal this weekend is not to worry about it till Tuesday when I go back.

We don't have much planned. I think we are going to go get haircuts for my DH and DS. Probably hit the grocery store to.

Good morning ladies!!

Well, Today the roads are clear and there is still a few inches of snow on the ground, kiddos can't wait to get out and play. I have two loads of laundry left, then off to deliver a cake. DH is planning on building the stage today...Cadence can't wait. Other than that, not much going on this weekend (which is nice). We are talking about going to Punta Cana for our 10th anniversary this November...not entirely sure if we are going to do it becuase we are planning to take the kids to DisneyWorld next February, so it's a lot of money in a short abmount of time, but DH really wants to go, so we probably will. Has anyone ever been to Punta Cana?? I'll tell you what, it's a real motivator!! We haven't been anywhere except the Jersey shore or the Poconos (both local to us) since our honeymoon, so it would be really awesome to go. We'll see...

Dawn, sounds like you had a very romantic time with your DH...so nice to get away from the kids every now & then, isn't it? Have fun cleaning today!

GG...enjoy your day off. Never did a wine tasting...went to a winery before and tasted a few, but it was only like 15 mins, not a big deal. My gf once took her husband on a winery tour for his bday... there are lots of them around here...they loved it!

Jasimine, sorry about your work...sounds like it's really rough. HOpe things smooth out & you can get a permanent room!!

Joan, that's a shame that you had to postpone your surgery! It's amazing how many readings/tests they take, isn't it? They will do a whole bunch when you go in for the surgery, too...at least they did for me.
Wait till you see how awesome it is though. I'm so excited for you!! BTW...I haven't had pigs in a blnaket since I was a kid..sounds yummy!!

Alicia..hope you have fun this weekend, and hope DH gets osme stuff done for you!! Is everyone feeling better??

Lauren, glad you got the fingerprinting in. Did the weather clear out by the afternoon for you? It was pretty good by about 1pm here. Roads were very clear by 4pm. Oh, and I have 10 miles this week ;)

Uggg! I just woke up about a half hour ago. (I went to bed right after posting last night) I must have really needed the sleep. I wish I didn't have to go in today, my hours are 4p - 9:15p. It almost isn't worth it.

For those of you who have asked: I do love my job. It can be frustrating when employees don't do what you ask them. I have one that is a total space cadet. (actually I think there is more to it than that.) She actually told me that she and her husband are engaged, even though they are already married.

Jasmine, there was a full moon on Thursday and a lunar eclipse. That might be why you had to restrain a student.

Well off to eat brunch, I will be back later.

hello everyone not much going on around here today. got in a good workout even with 2 kids doing it with me but sometimes they do keep me going don't wont them to think mom cant keep up...lol. the weather is better around here today we got about 5 more inches. but i almost seen sunshine today...wow..it was crazy. hope everyone had a great weekend

Howdy all. We were very productive today. We went to the grocery store bright and early to get it out of the way. Then we took the kids to see Dan Zanes. It was a great concert. It was just long enough, girlie was beginning to get grumpy when it was over. Alex got to get his picture taken with Dan and got his autograph on the DVD that we bought. He was excited.

:wave: :wave: I'm off to try and catch up on the laundry that has gotten away from me this week.

evening all...today as pretty good. I did walk my dog for 55 min. I didn't get to ride my horse however, it rained so hard the last few days, that when i got out to the farm, the area where i ride had horrible footing. I was concerned about my horse reinjuring his hip. But i did groom and play with him some. The wine tasting was nice...has several good wines. Then dh and i wandered around the historic square of marietta looking at the shops. We then ran some errands. Tonight we are planning to go for dessert at a local coffee shop that has live music tonight.

hey to everyone else. Hope everyone is doing well.

Evening all. Hope everyone's weekend is going well. We spent some time mattress shopping (yuck!) and then getting the good old taxes done, bought a new purse (what is it about purses that makes me so happy?). Anyways, I did pick up a new pedometer and some exercise things, now I need to just use them! I'm off on Monday and can't wait...little man will be at school, husband at work...yay me!!! I can actually exercise and maybe accomplish something.

Hey Hey Chicks,

DH and I went shopping today for my Recumbent Bike and didn't find the one I was looking for and I went to get some perfume from Eddie Bauer at the mall only to find that they had closed their doors--Forever. I don't want to say that it was a nonproductive day because we did have good quality time together w/o any kids which allowed me to talk dirty to him the whole way home and, well, all I can say was it wasn't a total loss for the day. I'm going to look at Indy or Louisville later this week for my perfume and a bike, either way its 2 1/2 hrs from home but that the next closest Eddie stores. Bummer!

GG, so glad you've got some time to unwind, taste some wine for me.

Duck, hope the paintings over soon, I spent 3 months painting the boys basement and my neck and shoulders were killing me. What part of So. IN are you from? LOVE the toast!!

I worked today...only did two tax returns. The rest of the time I played online. I really need to start exercising....I just have no motivation to do so!

Some of the ice melted today.....I'm sick of winter. I can't wait for warm weather then I can get out and walk!

morning all...man i wish i could be a weather man. Never get anything right and not get fired LMOA. Well this weekend they predicted sun and 60's. Yesterday it was cloudy and 45 and today there looks like there's rain where we're suppose to go hiking ): However the rain should clear by noon. So dh and i are changing plans...we were going to hike in the morning, and then do a scenic drive home. Instead we'll probably go in reverese and do the senic drive up and stop for lunch in a town near cloudland canyon and hope the rain passed by then. satellite looks like the rain should be gone by noon. Dh won't hike in the rain LOL. Usually its the oposite, the girl won't hikin in the mud or rain...nope think DH and i have our roles reveresed LOL. So keep your fingers crossed we get to go hiking. Wine tasting was good. So was going to the coffee shop last night for dessert (bad bad me) coffee and live music. I'm hoping that we get to hike (its a 5 mile route) so i can burn off last nights cupcake (:

All of the snow and ice is supposed to melt today and it's supposed to be in the mid-50's. Woke up this morning to snow and it's still coming down. Bad weather (snow) is coming in again tomorrow ~ supposed to anyways LOL.
GG ~ never thought about that before but you're right, meterologists never get fired and they get it wrong all of the time. Glad that you're having fun with DH!

Moobunny ~ just do it. Didn't you say that you work at Wal-Mart? Start off by walking around the store for 5-10 minutes. Baby steps become bigger steps. You'll feel so much better about yourself.

Nice quiet Sunday on this end ~ my favorite kind:-). DH made a fantastic breakfast and the kids wrinkled up their noses... there is no pleasing those little picky monsters. He also made the BEST homemade pizza last night. He makes a mean pizza. I've gotten so I only like his homemade. Each week he does something a little different and last nights was the absolute best. He used whole basil leaves, sundried tomatoes, baby portabellas and spread a little olive tapenade spread in the sauce. All of my favorite flavors in one pizza ~ I thought that I'd died and gone to heaven:-). He's gotten me in the habit of saving my crust and spreading a thin layer of honey on it for our dessert. Sounded strange to me at first but now I love it. The kids all line their crusts up on their plate awaiting the honey moment ~ too cute. Does anyone else do this? He went to a restaurant in Colorado a few years back that has honey sitting on the table for this very reason. Anyway.... time to get my exercise in. Have a great Sunday everyone ~ Joan

I had every intention of walking a couple of laps around the store on my lunch...just never did! This is the last week I'll be at wal-mart. When we close Friday we'll back up and go back to the main office. I work at a tax office.

I'm working today until 4 CST! Sundays are always slow! I'm going to get up tomorrow and exercise! I don't have to be at work until 3 pm.

I need to find someone to exercise with...I need an accountablity partner.

Just wondering what ever happened to Kerry? Holli? We miss you girls!

Moobunny ~ Good luck with the exercise tomorrow. I know how hard it is to get started but you'll feel so much better once you do it.

evening all..wow today was great. The place we went to was absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous canyon with several waterfalls. We only hiked about 2.5 miles..however we did about 3/4 of a mile straight up with 522 stairs (yes i counted (: ) so needless to say after that many stairs...we were ready to call it quits. They weather ended up clearing up and it turned out to be a great day (although i doubt it was 60). I'll try to post pics tonight..got a going away party to go to soon.

Joan - man that pizza sounds unbelievable. Makes me hungry even though i had a huge lunch at 3pm. But now i'm craving pizza LOL

Moo-just do it...i can send you a few kicks in the butt daily if you need the motivation (but yes, a workout partner does help). Do you belong to a gym??? they may have a board you can post on to find one.

Gatorgal I can't afford a gym membership. I do have a ton of exercise tapes! Once the weather warms up I'm going to start walking!

then no excuses...pop one of those dvd's in there...just do it. I know its harder to do it by yourself...but just start. I started by myself...i know i have a pt right now..but originally i started on my own...and now when im not working out with her..i go on my own...i'm now addicted to exercise and miss it when i don't do it.

Evenin all. Just getting ready for another exciting day in court tomorrow (NOT!). Now that the trial is over the other alternate and I just sit and wait. I hope this is over tomorrow.

We had a book club meeting at one of the member's house and I ate too much. I thought I was doing OK, but I'm still full.

Just jumped on to say hello and thank you all so much for the support. I went to dh's company get together on Friday, and was so good. I am so proud of myself! Now, I just have to remember not to reward myself with Oreos!

Pam, I was just reading your post. I have only been to small northern cities in Mexico, so I can't be of much help. But my sister has traveled quite extensively in southern Mexico. I dropped her an email, and will report back with any findings. Also, congrats on the 10th anniversary in November. My dh and I will also be celebrating our 10th anniversary in November. The 9th. We haven't decided what to do yet. I am thinking Greece, and he is thinking dinner here in Chicago, so we aren't quite on the same page. MEN!
Joan-I haven't heard of the honey on pizza crusts before. Sounds yummy. My family always used a smear of butter then cinnamon and sugar on our crusts. Where did all of this excess weight come from anyway? :)
Karen-I have always wondered what jury duty was like. I think I have a much less glamorous idea of what it's like now. Hope that is over for you soon!
Duck-I finally finished painting the kitchen, and priming the foyer. Somehow it gets so much less fun after the third or fourth day. Ugh! At least I am painting for myself. You are one great friend!
