Default very frustrated!!!

a little while back some coworkers & I were going to do Weight Watchers together at work.Wel that turned out to be a big flop!
I decided to give it up completely, now I'm back and not sure anymore.
I know I can count on support here, but actually having someone at work was going to help me out alot.
If I had half a mind...I probably could make it up!
Sorry,I just needed to drop in.I'm having a really hard time & there's really no real reason why I should!
thanks for listening,
bec

Bec~
You can find support here and you can do it with us! I hope you'll stick around and keep letting us know how you're doing.

Beliter,
You can drop in here whenever you want! This is all about how we can help & support eachother.

My roommate was following WW with me, and she has since dropped off plan quite a bit. I kind of knew that would happen, so when I first joined last April I made the commitment right then and there, that this was for ME. I was doing this NO MATTER WHAT. So, while it was nice in the beginning to have the support, I was going to go through with this regardless of whether or not the people around me were changing.

You have to decide that sticking with this is more important. You can do this!

Faerie is absolutely right, it has to be about you that's what gets you through those challenging times, like when your support group decides that chocolate is the answer to everything. The fact that you're doing it for you, your health, your well-being, your self-esteem, your strength, that's what will make you succeed.

Don't quit trying, one of these times it will stick. I'm sure you could get a million stories (myself definitely included) about restarts and sputters and falling off the WW wagon and getting back on.

It's like learning any new thing, it's a new lifestyle, sometimes it takes a couple tries to learn something, you probably didn't hop on a bicycle and start riding, we have tricycles and training wheels. You'll get the hang of it, just stick with it.

im sorry, but that is a total cop- out!!

that was no excuse to quit-you have to want it for YOU&no one else! support is helpful&even important but the true will still has to come from you&only you. you have to want it bad enough to say screw you to your coworkers&suceed. if all of you had cavities at the same time&made a plan to have them filled on the same day&they said the **** with it, would you live with a cavity just because they chose to? this is no different.

The battle of the bulge is hard reagardless, having someone close doing the asme thing makes it a little easier, but if they quit, STICK TO YOUR GUNS!!! You can do this for YOU! I joined with a friend and for the last few weeks having been going it alone. I almost quit, but I NEED this and so do you! Don't give up, be your own best friend!

Default Perseverance

I live in a small town, and we're very lucky to have a WW meeting. When we started three years ago, we had 30+ members. We are now down to about a third of that. Many members have come and gone. Several people have made Lifetime, then quit coming--only to gain the weight back. There are three of us who have seen it through and have maintained our weight loss--myself, the new leader, and the new receptionist! I'm very proud that I've had the will power to do this. It's been SO worth it. If I can do it, anyone can!

Andrea is right about that cavity analogy. You're no lost cause. You know you can do this. Back up on the horse, no matter how many times you fall off!

The best thing is, that if you keep working toward your goal perhaps seeing you will inspire your co-workers. Then you'll have those buddies at work to support you. I know how tempting an office can be. It's insane how much food goes through on a daily basis!! But as long as you remember your goals, you can totally do it!!!

I have found the few times I was very succesful at WW is where I have "gone it alone". I have joined with friends and although it was helpful if they didn't go I didn't go... When i decided to go by myself I stuck to it until I quit smoking. That was 3 years ago and I have started and stopped many times since. I also have gained everything back but I am still here fighting the battle mainly with myself. I KNOW what I have to do to lose weight.... I just have to do it!! The decison is the easiest part the actually is hard.

Good luck with your decision.
