Hi guys !
I hope everything is going well on your side !!

So Ive been traveling a lot for work lately, which is great, I get to go to places like Austria and Czech Republic... but one of my weaknesses is bread, I love bread, there is no way I could give up bread, since Im doing calorie counting I figure it out a way to put bread into my diet the problem now is that with the traveling, the only non white, remotely healthy bread I have available in my office is a french type of bread, what I do is I remove the "dough" (the soft inside part) and eat only the "crust"... as Ive been told that most of the calories lie whithin the dough... but I have no idea how many calories the part Im left with has...

Im going with an estimate of 100 kcal/piece, but really just a guess... any ideas ?

Thanks !:)

I think the dough and crust actually have the same calorie count per ounce (unless maybe the crust were nearly burnt to carbon). So if you have a food scale and can weight the bread after you've scooped out what you're not going to eat, you could calculate a decent calorie estimate. I think french bread (most bread prepared without a lot of extra fat) is generally about 70 to 80 calories per ounce.

The bread is all made of the exact same thing, so I don't see that the crust has any less calories. If you are only eating part of the bread then of course you are taking in less calories. As to the exact amount of calories that all depends on the bread. Have you tried looking it up on Fitday or one of the other calorie counting sites?
