Thanks for everyone who responded to my other thread about waiting for the bloodwork. The results FINALLY came - about 6 days after they said they'd be in!

I am being referred to a gynecologist, due to the results. (Sidenote: This happens to be the same gyno that another friend of mine went to for fertility issues, and my friend highly recommends this doc.)

Here are my levels:

Insulin total. . . . 14.8 uU/mL
FSH. . .. . . . . . 1.7 mIU/mL
LH. . . . . . . . . . 12.9 mIU/mL
Progesterone. . . 1.2 ng.mL

Can anyone tell me what this means???! :dizzy: My appt isn't until April (due to the need to have 12 months of documented problems conceiving before this doc will see anyone for infertility), and that's a long time to wait!! Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.

Hi there! I know we have a chart on blood work on the forum somewhere but I can't seem to find it. So I found one here (http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html) According to this, it looks like your slightly insulin resistant, and your FSH and LH are strong indicators of having PCOS. But it takes more than just numbers to decide - that is the downside of this being a syndrome. It isn't an inclusive or exclusive list of symptoms.

On the bright side, weight loss has been documented as a great way to relieve infertility for PCOSers. Good luck to you!
