Red face My 10lb goal!

Hello world,

My whole life I have been chubby. I have never been fat, but I have always been 15 to 20 lbs over weight that if I just could lose it then I would feel great about being in a swimsuit and my self-esteem would be awesome! I have always tried to lose the unwanted weight but never successfully. I love food! My favorite thing to do with friends is go out to eat and chat. I have tried the diet pills and the diets that all only lasted about a week and I would give up. I have tried the working out thing as well many times and then I would hit a plateau and quit. Well, finally 3 weeks ago I decided I have the power and control and I can control what I eat and my body shape. I can. So, for three weeks now, I have been working out with my accountability partner and we have been trying to shed the pounds. We are not telling ourselves no on all foods. Just smaller portions. I have noticed you are more likely to quit your diet when you use the word no. You feel like you’re not in control. So far I have lost 6 and 1/2 pounds. I feel good, but Im not giving up and I will not get lazy. This is just my small goal.

on losing 6 1/2 lbs and reaching your small goal. It's commendable that you are taking the steps that you are when you don't have too much to lose. I wish I had done that. You CAN do it. I agree with your attitude about not saying no to certain foods. When we start depriving ourselves, giving up is not far behind. Keep up the good work.
