I can't believe I forgot to start the new board for February! Just to make it easier, I am doing it more weekly so it doesn't get so long.

Lets make February the BEST month yet! We can do it!

Tom just headed out to hike with our older daughter and her husband up in the north Georgia mountains. I will try and work all day.

TONI: I made your cauliflower salad last night. I forgot to add the splenda, but it is really good without it. Thank you for posting it! It was so easy, since I used the packaged crumbled cooked bacon you can buy at Costco. I even put the crumbles in the microwave to 'crisp' them up and it worked pretty well. I used mayo instead of miracle whip, cause that is what I had, and added a little dried onion. Oh, gosh it is good this morning! I love having salads like that in the fridge!

Sparkle - Don't let no weight loss to report get you down. It will come.
Meanwhile remember how healthy you are now eating. You can do it!!!

Solly - Hope your not sore from your fall. Some days are diamonds some
days are coal. I hope this next week brings you lots of diamonds.

I did not know being diabetic made it so much harder to lose. While I am
not diabetic my sugar was up some my last blood work and the Dr. said
if I didn't lose weight and get exercise I could end up being one. My
older sister is diabetic. A good incentive for me to take this weight off.

Chris - the three pound loss is great!!!

Michele -congrats on the 1.4 pounds, not bad for a week.

Gym Rat - I'm glad you slept and feel better. Please don't let your
self have real hunger. There is plenty to eat that is legal and good
for you on this way of eating.

Monet - I think the weekly thread is a great ideal. Hope your doing OK.

All and all this past week was a good one for me. I did have one slip
and gobbled something I shouldn't have. However compared to my
usual binge this hardly showed on the radar screen and I'm hoping
to get stronger and do better. Even with the slip I am down in lbs.
this week. That makes me smile. Have a great weekend all!!!

Enjoying the weekend and wanted to share this with everyone. I found this picture in the 3 Fat Chicks U.K section. For everyone that thinks a 1 pound loss is disappointing...Click image for larger version Name: 06_12_04_fat3.jpg Views: 4 Size: 26.1 KB ID: 28319

It really hits home when you see it compared to something! Congratulations to all the 1 pound losers!!

SMW-terrific weight loss!:cp:

Gymrat-I'm dying to know, what are your 3 jobs?

Chris-My full time "day job" is a nanny. But on Sat I work for yankee candle. I teach 2 kid fitness clases on wednesdays and I do 1-2 fitness borthday parties on Sun. And then on the "side" I pick up babysitting when i can. I like to keep busy.

Just a quick fly-by! I have not done too well this week. I think I'm down one pound, but I have felt crappy since Wednesday. My throat is sore and my ears have fluid, I can tell. I also started out with a headache, but that is gone now. I think it is a virus and Sean and Rachel have it too. Sean is absolutely coughing his head off and Rachel said her throat hurt yesterday. She has an as needed inhaler for her asthma that has been helping her with the cough, but he is just trying to make due with cough syrup. I've been doctoring myself with real sudafed, that you have to ask the pharmacist for, and motrin. I think I'm getting better. I'm just ready for all of us to be well!!

today my husband and i went ice skating...i don't think i've done this in about 15 years, but it was pretty fun. we were skating on this community pond so it was kinda rough (we had to shovel some snow off it) but at least it was some exercise. my thighs are kinda sore.

B: steel cut oats with splenda, cinnamon, blueberries
L: white chicken chili and low carb tortilla with turkey bacon, cheese, lettuce, and mayo
s: SF pudding
D: Morningstar veggie patty with cheese and low carb ketchup, sweet potato with lite butter

i seem to crave nothing but starches lately, but i'm doing the best i can. i know i am going over on the starchy carbs some days, but oh well.

Hi!
New here. It was hard to find a support board for this WOE; seems they all have disappeared.
I did Atkins in 2003 and lost 65 lbs. Transitioned to SB and did very well losing another 10. I messed up when I got cocky and was eating all those evil low-carb, no sugar added Frankenfoods. Anyway, I have gained 35 of the 70 back. I have given my SB book away and just purchased it again. I am trying to find something that I "thought" I read beofre, in that if you are using foods like cereal, it can have 5 grms of sugar or < per serving. The first book says 3. Did I dream it?

I hope I can lose the 35 on this. I have tried going back on Atkins and I just can't eat that way. I need fruit, grains, etc., not just meat, cream and eggs!

I know my downfall is the goodies so I must resolve to stay away.

Glad I found this board.

Chris 313...I used to live in Bethel. Guess it's pretty cold now. 82 here..lol.

Evening...I did it!!! I made it through the day on a great note. YAY...For dinner I had 2 cheeseboca burgers and 2c broc. That held me until just now (11) when I got home from work. I had a bowl of glicerna cereal. I didn't want to go to bed hungry for fear of waking up in the middle of the night.

Thin-This wasn't a good week for me either. lets make next week rock!! Sorry your not feeling well..Hope you feel better.
Chr-Cool Ice skating..I haven't done that since I was a kid. Im sure you'll be sore tomorrow. In a good way though.

Msrubi-WELCOME to the sb support group. Its a great place to hang out. Good luck on the plan this time around. You will find great support, tips and recipes here. In the SB book I have (its the newest edition its 3g or less) unless its something with natural sugar like milk or no sugar yogurt. I have never even attempted Atkins..Any diet where fruit is bad and bacon is great doesn't sound very healthy. Its all about balance. I talk good stuff..but im the first one to eat 5 pc of sugar free candy in one evening. LOL Anyhow..Welcome and enjoy it here.

hello everyone!

Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary tonight......and we ate off plan,,,,,,,,but, I noticed that the food did not taste very good AND it did not make me crave more... I did have fish, but it was fried catfish........i didn't eat many fries, and I feel okay about this one planned "cheat." Back on plan tomorrow and going to begin that walking this week as well.

Gym- glad you had a good day

Chrgrl- oh how I Loved iceskating as a teen living in Michigan. We skated on the tennis courts in my community, sometimes we had to shovel off the snow, too.

:welcome3: Msrubi. You will find support, friends, and humor here.

Chrs- i am waiting to see that gross picture of one pound of fat........ick!!

Thin- hope you and your family feel better, soon.

Have a restful night, all!

Good morning to everyone. Let me tell you about yesterday's meal at Red Lobster. Of course it did not go as I had thought, but here's what happened:
3 cheddar biscuits, 2 mozzarella cheese sticks, 1 chicken strip (both of these were dipped in honey mustard dressing), then the combo broiled scallops/garlic grilled scampi with mashed potatoes. For dessert something called "apple crumb" but didn't like it. That's it, it's over and I'm not beating myself up over it. Today will be right back on schedule, yesterday's gone.
I enjoyed it, but not to the point that I would ever want to go back to eating like that again.

I did buy a pair of pants that I have to take back cause they are too big and that was after the above meal, ha ha. I didn't try them on there, I would rather do that at home.

Gym: I love Yankee candles, hard for me to pick a favorite though. You are one very busy lady.

Chrgrl: ice skating! You lucky girl, I never even learned how to roller skate.

Msrubi: welcome to you. I am new here myself, but have been on SB almost a year now.

Solly: how are you doing from your fall the other day?

Thin: I hope you & your family are beginning to feel better.

Talk to y'all later!

Good morning,

I have nothing really to say..Im just having tea and cottage cheese before the gym. It's amazing what one whole good day can do. I woke up feeling like..Wow I can do this. Today starts week 10, which means for 9 weeks I have been doing it. I have my grocery store plan and I am all about cooking this week.

Sparkle-I hear ya about picking just one scent..Or flavor as I always refer to them. Thats the beauty of tarts and votive's. I should know I own more then i'll ever burn and yet I keep buying them. HAHA. Eating out can be really tough. What seems to help me with any food situation (don't laugh) is having a big on plan snack before the meal if you can. I try for a vege or a big salad. It seems the less hungry I am the more likely I am to stick on plan. FOr me when my blood sugar gets low and the hunger gets high I don't care about anything I just want to eat. Today is a whole new day!!

DTRMD-Awesome job planning to "cheat" and getting right back. Happy Anniversary..How many years??

Geesh..I think I am the only not married person here..you all talk about the DH. I just realized this. HAHA Anyway's all have a great day!!

Morning! I slept fairly well last night, so I am feeling good. I got notification of payment for a piece I sold on etsy, so I sold five pieces in three days! I have not been that busy since before Christmas, so I am tickled! It will pay for my trip to Chicago for the funeral.

I just finished breakfast...a whole wheat English Muffin with peanut butter and a glass of milk. I had espresso earlier.

I plan to throw today. I am in a good mood, since my bg was better than it has been lately, and I got that payment, and I weighed and was down a half a pound. Feels like a good morning to me!

MSRUBI: :welcome3: We are delighted to have you join us! I guess the other Sugarbusters forums have disappeared. We have a small core group that has been around for a long time. For a while, I was afraid we would have to close the forum due to lack of activity, but it has picked up again. Yay! I hope you will jump right in and feel at home here.

GYM: Isn't it great how one day of being really good helps lead to another and another? Its like it convinces us we CAN do it! :)

SPARKLE: It sure is hard to stay on plan at places like Red Lobster. I LOVE those biscuits...I make whoever I am with put them as far away from me as possible. Hopping right back on plan is the ticket....

DTRMND: Happy Anniversary! I hope you had a wonderful time. I think learning to control the little cheats and getting right back on plan is part of the secret to success! :bravo:

CHRGRL: I have not been ice skating in years! I am afraid I would break a leg or something if I tried it now. They used to flood the ball field for a skating rink when I was a kid...not anymore! They worry about being sued. Kind of sad if you ask me. The kids don't have a place to go skate anymore.

CHRIS: If you click on the picture, then copy the address, it should work. I bet it is icky though, huh? :)

THIN: Ug! Tom had that virus and it lasted over a week. I sure hope you all get over it quickly. He was miserable. I was so thankful I did not get it. He tried to tell me he got it from me...which I guess is possible. I had a couple days where my throat was sore, but I did not feel THAT bad and just kept going. (I have a VERY high tolerance for pain though...)

SLOW: Good for you getting the sugar levels under control! I kept mine under control with Sugarbusters for years. Then I had a particularly stressful six months, and kind of got off SB during that time...next thing I knew, my A1C was 14.85, and my bg was running in the 300's. It is a constant battle some days. I hope you can avoid it.

Now, where are BOB and TONI?

Morning!

Gym- thanks for the encouragement. DH and I were celebrating nine years. As for you, there is defiitely no hurry to be married as you are nice and young ! My daughter is 20 and I think she is too young as well! :)
Enjoy your youth and carpe diem!

Chrgrl- are you the good kind of sore from the iceskating?

Hope everyone has a fantastic day and enjoy the Super Bowl if you are football folks! :)

Msrubi - Glad you haved joined us, welcome!

Thin - Hope your household is well soon.

Monet - nice to read you are in a good mood today.

All - Enjoy this Sunday, work your food program.

I guess I will go over and watch the Super Bowl with
friends just to be socialable. I really have no interest
in either one of these teams so whoever wins is OK
with me. I do enjoy a good close game so I hope it's
worth watching. I plan to be on my p's and q's when
refreshments are served. Bye for now, SMW

Hi there-
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I am trying so hard not to cave into the desire to eat sweets. So far so good, but darn it's hard. Just finishing up some chores today and will probably watch the football game later on. I don't really follow football at all, but I usually watch the Super Bowl. I really don't care who wins, just hope it's a tight game.
Enjoy the day!

Gymrat-Oh God, I'm tired just reading your list.LOL. Actually I work 2 jobs, but one of them is only 2-3 times a week in the evening for a couple of hours. It is better to be busy than bored. WTG with your weight loss so far!!

Thinw/in-Hope everyone turns a corner fast and is feeling well soon.

Chrgrl-I tried to ice skate about 7 yrs. ago. My ankles hurt so much I could barely stand up. I hope you're not too sore!

Msrubi-:welcome: I'm fairly new too. What a very nice bunch of people there are here. Sweets are my downfall too. That's too funny that you used to live in Bethel. I love this town, but not the weather.

Dtrmnd-I just realized I can't post an image until I have at least 25 posts. I will try to navigate you to the pagein my next post. Happy Anniversary!

Sparkle-Who can resist those biscuits at Red Lobster? No worries-you're back on track.

Monet-I'm going to lead you guys to the picture in my next post. I need a certain # of posts before I can post an image-sorry.

SMW-Enjoy the game with your friends. I don't follow football either. I also don't know who to root for. I'm originally from NY but I lived In CT for over 20 yrs now. Talk about confused!!

overall i didn't get too sore, but i think i was so sore at the end of last week after doing a lower body workout that i may have not even noticed.

today we had lunch at chile's after church and i think i did pretty well. i had a bowl of chili and half of a caesar side salad (no croutons). i don't know if it was all legal, but it was probably close. the chili was good, but i looked it up on calorieking and it was 420 calories! oh well, i think the damage could have been far worse.

Good morning everyone!

I have a funny story to share with you. My doctor prescribes an anti-anxiety medication for me. I only take it when I feel I need it, which isn't that often. Well I was just feeling anxiety ridden yesterday so I waited until the evening to take it because it makes me tired.
The other thing it does apparently, is makes me eat, but I have no memory of it in the morning! My daughter says I went to the fridge last night about 7:30 (I was watching the SB game) took out a piece of grilled chicken, offered her a bite and then went upstairs and went to bed. I totally didn't believe her. She said "Mom you did, I swear!!" I ran downstairs, opened the fridge and sure eough there was the empty plate with the saran wrap neatly put back on the empty plate. This is the second time I've done this. The other time was close to a month ago and I ate freshly baked banana bread which I had no desire for before I took my pill.
I told Gable (my daughter) that next time I need one of those pills I'm going to tell her before hand and she has to make sure I don't eat anything else. I had eaten my day's allotment already and that ticked me off. At least it was just grilled chicken.
On the positive side, Gable said I am very generous when sharing my food. Apparently I kept offering her bites!!
I weighed in today and am 191!!! I am eating 1200 calories a day but I am so happy with my weight loss. That's 4 pounds down this week. I did a lot of house work over the weekend, I guess I burned some calories. I'd love to be 185 by the time I get to Florida (march 6th).

I hope everyone sees a good result on the scale today-Chris

Everyone have a great day.

Thanks Sparkle. I know there will come a time when I hit a plateau, so I'll just have to remember that when the scale isn't budging. Here's hoping for a weight loss for you too. You might surprise yourself and see that needle go down!! Hang in there no matter what-we'll do it together.

Good morning ladies, Had a nice weekend. The wedding was nice, but the food was horrible. Yesterday we stayed home and watched the SB. I was so glad the Giants won. I just love Eli Manning or any Manning for that matter. Just me & DH & Rudy. so we had chicken wings and chips and cheese & margaritas. Not a good day of eating, but putting it behind me. Way too much salt and stuff, my lovely scale was up 10 lbs today. So it will take 2 days to get that back off. I never learn.
Going to have a great week. Lent starts Wed, so eating will be minimal Wed and fish on Fridays.

Bob, how about those Manning's. Gotta love Eli, He is a cutie. I loved how they kept showing Peyton cheering for him.

SMW, sometimes we have to take one day at a time, others, one hour at a time. One slip is not the ned of the world. You are smart to put it behind you had go on. That is thekey.

Gym, with all that work I don't see how you have etime to eat plus the exercise. I LOVE Yakee candles. They smell so good.

Thin, hope you are feeling better. That stuff is going around and it lasts about 1 week. Take care of yourself.

Chrgrl, Wow, I am impressed that after 15 years you could ice skate with no problems. I bet you were sore after a day or so.

Msrubi, :welcome: This is a great support group. I have been here over 6 years or maybe more. THey are my life line. You can loes that 35 lbs and be healthy too. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Determined, Happy belated anniversary. Congrats on 9 years. A planned cheat is ok if you jump right back on. My problem is getting back on, I think I have to wait until Monday.

Sparkle, it seems everyone has had a bad day last week. Today is a new day and we can forge ahead together on plan.

Monet, nothing better than a loss and a good bg level to make you day wonderful. Keep up the good work. You are doing great selling your wares. One day you will be famous.

Chris, 4 lbs is awesome. That is so funny about your anxiety pill making you eat.

I'm off to check the last thread to see what I have missed. Hope to check back later. Have a great OP day.

Morning! Today is Metal Monster Monday! So, I hopped on the scale and I was down two pounds! Yay! I never ate any dinner last night, so I am sure that helped. If I eat a big breakfast, and a substantial lunch and a very light dinner, I lose easier. Unfortunately, the family wants the substantial at night...and when I fix it, I find it hard not to eat it! :(

I got bowls thrown last night, and today I need to trim them. They are for a special order, and the lady wants handles on them, so I need to do that too. Lots of fun!

We did not watch the super bowl last night. We went to church, then stopped at Wal Mart. I wanted to get a pair of jeans, but they did not have the style I have and like. So I did not get any. I did find a nice set of plastic shelves for under $10, and got them. They are perfect for by my wheel to put stuff on. Shelves were one of my biggest necessities, and to solve the need for under $10 was such a gift! I have a LOT of cleaning and rearranging to do in the garagio but at least I feel like I am making some progress.

I will be back later!

Just quick hello.

I did it I made it through the weekend with nothing bad and no over eating. Im very excited. I only had 1 small pc of sf choc last night. That was it--last week i have eating the entire bag or bar. I have a good feeling about this week.

I bought a new scale last night. This one does .1.4.6..And so on. My last one only did .5 It also helps you track your weight loss (as soon as I figure that out i'll be using it)

Congrats to the losers today!!

Solly-Sadly I eat more at work. nanning and Yankee are jobs where I tend to be bored and have down time. It used to be a struggle..its getting better.

Chris-That is funny. Id be pretty ticked off too. If Im going to eat something Id want to at least know about it.

mercee-Yay cleaning. I didn't have much time I have to catch up myself. Way to go with all the working out..The sore feeling is awesome. A hurt feeling isn't good. Just make sure to not over do it. (this would be the pot calling the kettle black) haha

Monet-Congrats on the weight loss..Im happy your etsay stuff is selling. I love to rearrange. I was at walmart last night too. It was dead. Im not a foodball fan but I did hope the pats would will as thet is my team. HA Oh well.

Ray-Yay getting through the weekend..That rocks it is such a great feeling Monday morning.

I have to work late today so I already have lunch and dinner planned out. This way i can't help but be good. Planning seems to be my key to success. I did about 80 min at the gym.. I was tired and sore from my weekend so I let myself leave during the second class.

Happy Monday all!!!

Good Morning Everybody!

Oh the pain of Monday <sigh>. I have to sit on my butt all day today writing annual job performance evaluations for the 3 people I supervise, I loath doing this every year!!!!!

...and I am in major pain today folks. Walked all over the rodeo grounds on Saturday stayed there about 5 hours and by last night (the after effect), my legs were dying. OK I also had to stand through 3 long church services yesterday and that didnt help things either. I have shooting pains in my inner thighs and calves and also my hammer toe is angry at me. Oh to be twentysomething again, when nothing bothered me on my body....lol.

treadmill was ordered...cant wait for it to come...but unfortunately I know that means there will be even more pain in my future...hahaha

Thanks everyone for the welcome!

Thanks Gym Rat-I knew 5 gms was too good to be true.
Trying to motivate myself to exercise. I bought two DVDs, very simple; Stretching for Beginners because I have a lot of back and joint issues (46 yo)and Just My Size Yoga! I have to tell you, the Yoga is a simple yet thorough routine and gives pointers for what to do when, well, the belly and other large body parts get in the way of the poses. :D

Chris-Bethel is so quaint, lived in New Milford too but the winters finally did me in. Left in 03 and in 04 and 05 we had all those hurricanes here! Somehow no power for two weeks still beats shoveling every morning and afternoon:no:

Good evening everyone. Up 2 pounds today when I weighed this morning. That's okay, well not okay, but I didn't beat myself up about it, I knew there would be a gain after Red Lobster Saturday.

Lunch was at a chinese place, I had the chicken and broccoli. No buffett, ordered off the lunch menu. No rice. And I actually ate the broccoli! It was tasty.

Supper was nachos made with Triscuits.

Y'all have a very pleasant evening. Many congrats to the losers and maintainers, the rest of us - here we come!

Msrubi-I lived in New Milford for 11 years before moving to Bethel. We've probably passed each other on the green!! We got tired of route7 (which by the way is Still under construction and forever will be) and decided we wanted to cut down our driving time so we moved to Bethel. Ft. Lauderdale is a big switch form Ct. How do you like it?

GMorning,

Uggh the weather here is nasty. Its raining and sleety. YUCK. I am skipping the gym today. I have been 4 days in a row so far..Time to rest. Plus Once I get to work I don't want to have to go out in this weather. Another great day yeaterday. Although I have been hungry nothing crazy like last week. Interesting how that works.

I hope everyones day goes well!! I weighed myself just cause i was curious to see if 3 good days did anything. I am back to my weight from last week. So apparently It does make a difference. Im excited to see what Friday holds.

Morning! Silly me...today is the 5th, and not the 6th when my doctor appointment is! I was thinking it was today.

I need to go get some more clay today. Or wedge up my scrap-which is what I ought to do. I have sold six pieces since last Wednesday, which is better than I did even before Christmas! I am pretty excited. I need to throw mugs. I made my special order bowls and finished them last night. I am hoping :crossed: the handles don't crack.

I never ate dinner last night, so I was hoping I might see a drop on the metal monster, but no go. I am the same as yesterday. Oh well! :) At least I am making some progress.

My bg has not been great, and I am sure that doesn't help either.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Fat Tuesday Ladies!

Now just b/c it is Fat Tuesday, we don't get to binge. We can do this.
A good piece of news is whenI weighed this morning the scale was down about 4 lbs,but I also noticed the preset was at 7 lbs. I guess when DH swept the bathroom floor he hit the dial. So I got to move it down about 5 lbs (I like to keep it at 1.5 or 2 as that is what it took to be the same at wW). It lloks like I am actually down 2 more lbs since Friday. Down to 183. Gym is right, more exercise, the more you lose.Hopefully this will hold tomorrow.

Breakfast: S\Protein smoothie, lunch: salad with 2 oz ham & turkey, cheese. tangerine. Dinner: meatloaf, butter beans and some other veggies.

Monet, for the 2 lbs. You are moving in the right direction. Keep it up.

Ray, my red is fading quickly, but not as fast I must think as I have had several people ask me lately since when did I have red hair. Da, it's been 5 years now. I guess they only see me when it's really faded.

Mercee, You did great with your exercise last week. You surely will see some inches missing soon.

Gym, planning is the key to success. You will always be prepared and you will succeed. I have a ?. When you work out (other than your classes) do you do a whole body workout or just upper or lower? I have been doing 30 minutes of cardio and upper body one night and 30 minutes of cardio and lower body the next. Rotating the rest of the week. My DD is now doing a whole body each night so I was just wondering what was better.

Rosemary, I long for those days right along with you. Each day bring a new pain somewhere. I have a pesky hammer toe also, as a result of my RA. Every ordered those sleeves to put on them? Soak in some warm water and feel better soon.

Msrubi, sounds like you are on the right patch to exercise. Walking Off the Pounds are good videos, 1, 2, & 3 mile workouts.

Chrgrl, hold on tight girl, I wish I could jump rope. Now days, I would wet my pants (TMI).

Sparkle, that gainis not fat from your meal on Sunday. You couldn't gain 2 lbs that quickly, Probably a lot of sodium in your meal causing water retention. Bet it's down in a day or 2.

Determined, isn't it great when you find something you like and such a plus when your kids like it too.

Bob, Hello?????????? You are off on Mondays and supposed to report in here more. Where the heck are you. I'm sending Moent with her broom

Got to get to work. Have a great day.

Monet, we are posting at the same time. That is a sign of age you, gettng your days confused. Just kidding. You are doing so great on Etsy. Have a great day.

I almost forgot. Today is my 4 year anniversary as a cancer survivor. It is a very special day. DH Brought me a beautiful angel vase with 4 roses and daises. My co-worker brought me the most beautiful bracelet and earrings. So thoughtful.

Solly...congratulations on 4 years! I will celebrate 20 years in June. Cancer is but a distant memory for me, but I remain vigilant at all times. I have an appt tomorrow for a complete check up.

Monet..my bg levels have been slightly higher too...inconsistent eating habits and total slow down on exercise...but the worst of it is that I just plain feel crappy and crabby...lol. Sluggish and irritable all the time. This downhill spiral of mine has to stop.

That said there is King Cake on the table here at work. Happy Fat Tuesday everbody...lol.

Hello Everyone,

Sparkle, we all have to splurge now and then, keep going.

GymRat, glad your back on track, weather here is nice,
almost like an early spring. Don't think it will last long.

Monet, congrats on the selling six pieces.

Solly, Congrats to you on the pounds lost, you are on a roll!
The real good news though is your four years cancer free.
Your DH and friends sound like wonderful people for treating
you royally, which you deserve.

Rosieinsa, I am very happy cancer is but a distant memory for you.
I wish you continued good health. I saw King Cake at the grocery
store but just kept walking (smile).

Hello to Chris, Mercee, Msrubi, Ray, Michele and all who are
working to lose pounds and improve their health.

My food has been pretty good. I don't seem to be as focused on
food these days as before I started eating Sugar Busters. (Yeah!!!)
I plan to take myself to the mall and walk for awhile today. I
need to do better on the exercise. A good day to all, SMW

My wish for all of us - that we get to goal quickly and silently and be done with it for the remainder of our time on earth. We might even have room to fulfill our other dreams!!!!!!!!!!! That's HOT that you're 4 years free from the beast!!!!

Sparkle - I'm sorry 2 pounds took your sparkle out but good on you for getting right back in there!!!

I went to the gym last night and worked out hard and I'm sore today - but a good sore - like I'm goin' places sore.........

Just checking in for a moment. I like to come here and read. Heading to the gym later. I did make it last night for an upper body workout after we walked the dog for 35 minutes. I did the :tread: this morning 30 minutes.

Rosemary, Lady you are an inspiration. 20 years is awesome. What kind of cancer did you have? Sorry if you said before, chemo brain you know. King Cakes are yucky. Just keep telling yourself. Just picture that cake sitting on your thighs.

SMW, good luck on your walk at the mall. I hope your left your purse at home. That's the only way I could walk at the mall. No primary here until May.

Have a great SB evening all.

Hello everybody - just popping in for a quick hello. Haven't had a chance to check in today until right now. Bkfast this morning was a piece of skinless smoked sausage and a diet dr pepper. Lunch was roasted chicken breast, cabbage and purple hull peas. I wasn't hungry at supper. Ate a few bites of chicken breasts that I had put in the crock pot this morning, then tried a few bites of meatloaf, but didn't really want either.

Y'all have a very pleasant evening.

Hey Everyone..Just checking in. I went out to lunch with my cousin today. For the most part i did alright. I got the salad for an app, cheeseburger no bread for lunch. I did eat 4 french fries though. And for dessert i got a mini shooter straw cheesecake. It was seriously 4 bites. I had a muffin for dinner, and nuts for snack. Before that my day was perfect. So not too bad, but i could have done better. Ah well--Just make it up tomorrow teaching both classes and taking 1.

Solly- I love that scale idea..set it to goal and call it a day. I bought a new one last night and it made me 2 pounds less than my old one. I though..well YAY I'll just keep buying new scales Actually the weight q is a good one. 98% of my gym goings are classes. I do cardio classes, 30/30 classes, interval weight classes, heavy weights, dance, boot camp. I change it up constantly. If it were up to me and a treadmill or elliptical machine id be fat forever. The cardio and lower/upper switch sounds the best to me. Your body needs to rest from strength training for 24 hours at least unless your doing heavy/light alternations. meaning mon (heavy) tue (light) and still it shouldn't be no more than 3x a week. 4 Max. Cardio is fine everyday. I do one heavy weight class and 2 light weight classes a week. Every now and then I can squish in the 2nd heavy weight class. Then about 50-70 min of cardio 5/6x a week. I tend to overdo it though. I admit that. Luckily My best friend is a trainer/aerobics instructor. He will make me stop if im overdoing it. I always know my form is correct too--he isn't shy about calling me out in the class. Not always a good thing to have. HAHA Also Congrats on your 4 yr anniversary. That's amazing!!

Monet- . HAHA Im glad your etsay is doing great. Im happy to add to your rocking sales when ever your ready!! I do the no dinner thing and try to weight in too. Why does it gain ove r night but not lose. So not fair.

Chr-I like the idea of planned cheats. Im cheating on Vday. And funny I was talking about planning a cheat day every month or so because like you said some things are just to good to give up completely. Having the cheat planned makes you feel less like a failure. or at least it does for me. Although funny you mention ice cream. That is my fav thing in the world. Edys makes a no sugar added, slow churned (so its low in fat also) mint choc chip..they make a bunch of flavors and I have some the other night. It was awesome..Not sure why--but some things we are better off not knowing. HAHA

Everyone else--Have a wonderful evening..Im off to bed!!

Good morning ladies. Boy am I :tired: I was exhausted last ngiht so I went to bed around 9:45. Woke up at 12:15 with the otrnado sirens going off. We watched a little of the weather and then got DD and head downstairs to wait it out. Went back to bed a little after 1:00. everyone else is sound asleep, but me. I layed there until 3:30. Now I can hardly keep my eyes open and I have a busy day ahead. Needless to say, I skipped the :tread: this morning. Tonight was going to be my night off from the gym, we will wait and see. DD is home sick with something in her chest. Just hoping she keeps it to herself.

Chrgrl, I hope you enjoy your cake and ice cream. We need to learn how to handle days like this as it is not realistic that we will never eat sugar again. It purpose is to learn how to handle it and jump back on track. I love ice cream too, and I find some of the no sugar added ones are rather tasty. So you don't have to live w/o it.

Sparkle, I hate when nothing is what you want. I ususally find something and just eat it to be eating.

Gymrat, Thanks for the tips. I don't overdo, that's for sure. What's Vday?

Toni, where are you? I hope you did not have the storms we have had. Is your roof till on?

Bob, OK that's it, I'm sending Monet after you.

I worked out last night and Monday this week I increased my time. I am really enjoying the :tread: I was hoping this would help me sleep better but so far it hasn't.

Solly - we need to exchange numbers so we can talk when we are up::). I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight.

Hiya Fokes,

The day is off to a great start. Always a good thing. taught my sports class and took the fitness boot camp. That was fun. Went by fast because everything was in one min intervals and there were 12 stations. I love working out. Solly and Mercee, I'll give you my number too. I am usually up between 2-4 myself. Although knock on wood the last 2 nights i was sleeping.

Oh and to add one more thing to my list o jobs I picked up another sports class on Wed. This is great because I was staying for the adult class anyway's. Now, although I am technically not "working out" I am getting paid for another class. I do a lot of running around in these classes setting everything up It will be great to make a few more bucks.

Im having lunch then going to relax before the next class. I also got an offer to baby sit tonight, which is great cause i went on quite the shopping spree yesterday.

I hope everyone's day is going good.

My menu is as follows.

B-cottage cheese (2 scoops) Apple sauce (1 scoop) and a small handful of fiber one.
S-SF Choc chip muffin ( I went to the bakery yesterday)
L-Salad W/ cottage cheese, can tuna and tomatos. green tea to drink. SF ff dressing.

I have no idea how the rest of the day is going to be..For now..Thumbs up

Monet-Ahh yuck..I hope you get over that. I had that for 2 days last week then it went away. I hope that happens to you as well. Im crossing my fingers for Tom.

Solly-Your very welcome. Im happy to help. I always need food help..Knowing and practicing are very different. We can trade tips..Exercise for food..LOL Vday is just me being to lazy to type out valentines day. Hope your staying awake..do you drink coffee? Hope so..That saves me on my long days with no sleep.

Mercee-Hope your not dragging too much. Actually i find on my 'night' gym nights i sleep worse. Between being all hyped up and adrenalin pumping, its hard to fall asleep. Then I have to wake up to pee most of the time, because I drink more in the evenings if I have worked out late. I do mostly am work outs. I read somewhere they are better because your metabolism is revved for the day..and since we eat during the day not night it's better for effectively burning calories. The way i see it any exercise is better than none. Go you!!

Damn i talk alot..Haha Have a good one ladies!

Hello everyone. We went to our son's welcome home party in Oklahoma and it was wonderful. He was so surprised. There were about 40 people there. I also got to get in a good visit with my brother from Colorado too. Then Steve's Mother passed away and we've been in a hectic mess trying to get him on a flight. The nearest airport is almost 3 hours away. He got a flight out and it was canceled and he had to come back last night. He just left a while ago to catch another plane. I hope this works out as the funeral is tomorrow. My nerves are shot and I've ate all the wrong things. I'm going to weigh in shortly and I know I've gained weight. Hope I can get a handle on it today. Solly just wanted you to know I'm so happy about your 4 year anniversary...... Congratulations. I'm to far behind to post individual replies so this will have to do. Will be back later.....

Hey everbody - just a quick pop in during lunch. Arby's was the choice today, although secretly I sure dreaded it. I ended up with a Philly steak and cheese with au jus on the side. It was cut in half, so I did eat half, wrapped up the rest to take home to hubby. I hated so bad to eat that white bread!
Oh yes, unsweet tea with sweet n low to go along with the sandwich. The sandwich was good, and it was not hard to stop at half of it cause I knew I should not be eating the bread!

Haven't read all the replies since this morning so I will just say have a very pleasant afternoon.

Morning everyone! The grandkids came in this morning around 4am from Okla City for a couple of days. Hubby and I got on up, visited for a little while, then they all went to bed. I came on in to work, but stopped for a diet dr pepper and some hot 'n spicy pork skins for breakfast. Not what I wanted, but I didn't want to get in the kitchen and rattle around and wake them up.

Hello Everybody,

Checking in at lunch time...healthy choice minestrone soup and a small square of cheddar cheese.

I have decided to add something else to my fitness/health plan. Counseling sessions to deal with my emotionally linked eating habits. Lots of stress at home right now that is adding to my lack of enthusiam and bad eating habits. I know I am an emotional eater and I have a very codependant personality. Always put everybody else before me and right now I have at least 2 people my husband and my 20yo son at odds with each other and me in the middle and I cant win, it is driving me nuts and driving me straight to the snacks which does me no good. Enough is enough, they need to get a life and let me have mine back....lol.

It is a nice Sunday today in San Antonio,

Happy Thursday!

It has taken me half the morning to get this post together.

Meetings all morning and yesterday afternoon. Worked on minutes last night and went off this morning and left my laptop at home with everything I needed for my meetings. Rushing out the door to get to work and get some things before the meetings and just walked out w/o it. Had to manually take notes and improvise on hand-outs. Nice way to sta rt the day. Luckily, it hasn't been too bad after that.

Dragging again today, so I did not get on the :tread: today. DD is still sick so I will probably not get to the gym but will workout at home some.

Monet, I pray one of those interviews are the "one" for Tom. Hope you are feeling better soon. Sure is lucky you have an appt today. My DD has been home for 2 days with coughing and sneezing and her chest hurting.

Mercee, I feel your pain girl on sleeping. I woke up at 3:30 last night and got up reluctantly to go to the bathroom fearing I wouldn't go back to sleep. But I did. I always wake up seeral times thru the night. Glad you like your :tread:

Gym, girl you are going to have one heck of a body with all that exercise. You should be able to eat anything you want and burn it off. Don't forget, you are building lots of muscle.

Toni, I have been dying to find out about the party and seeing your son. I bet it was hard to leave him. Sympathies to Tom. That has to be hard and then plane trouble on top. Any weather damage?

Sparkle, sometimes you have to do what you have to do. You did the best you could. Put it behind you. How nice you get to spend the day with the kiddos.

Heart, I'm not sure about the bread, but I would bet no fast food places' bread is going to be 100% ww.

Faze, :welcome: sounds like you have a great start. Hope you hang around and join our group. Lots of support here.

Chrgrl, Happy Birthday! Have a super day :balloon: :hat:

Determined, glad you did not have any damage your way. It was a horrible storm.

SMW, have fun at the dentist.

Bob, see, Monet is looking for you.

Missy, how was Mardi Gras? Have you recovered? Guess with 2 kids you can't party as before.

Got to run transcribe these notes before I forget what I wrote. Have a great day.

Wow Solly - that must have been scary to hear all those sirens....that has never happened here where I live...ever.....biggest gusts of winds have been 50 in the city but that's it.....I constantly hear of tornadoes in the States.

Toni - you had lots of good news and bad!!! I'm sorry if you're up in weight, but you know the saying 'what goes up must come down'........

Heart - enter with caution.....if you're like me 1 slice of bread = a whole loaf or just wanting to eat constantly after...........

I'm doing amazing.......started new way of eating entirely.

Evening Everyone,
I have the dreaded weigh in tomorrow am. Im hoping to be back to my pre gain weight 2 weeks ago. Its a pound. Last week I was @ 178..I hope its a good one.

I had a decent week..Almost nothing bad. Even on my night out I just had a tiny bit of sugar. We shall see. Not even overeating on SF choc or anything--Im kinda like wow i did it.

It snowed all day today and rained all day yesterday. I want the sun.

I started a new crochet project tonight. I croched a lot last winter making a bunch of baby blankets, but this winter I have been into curling up with books. not sure why I picked up the crochet hook tonight, but hopefully I finish this project before i get bored.

Have a great night..Im off to take a bone warming shower..Im so cold.

Hi Everyone!

Busy week so I haven't even had time to get on the computer.

Welcome Faze!!!

I think I had a good week. I have been doing the Fit Day journal and I still think I am taking in too many calories even though I know you don't count calories on this woe.

Sample Day:

B: (8 AM) Alternative ww bagel (legal?)
1 tbs almond butter
coffee with Splenda and half-half (leftover from Atkins)

S: (10:30) Atkins shake

L: (1:00) 4 oz. canned chicken with mayo
pear

S: (3:30) sm handful almonds & DD Coffee

D: (7:00) broiled pork chop
brown rice
edamame with I Can't Believe Its Not Butter

S: (8:30) single serve NS applesauce
Diet Arizona Iced T w/Splenda

I was in Whole Foods tonight looking at breads. They have an olive bread that says it is made with "unbleached, unbromated whole wheat." Is this legal or must it say 100% whole wheat or stone ground whole wheat? Bought it anyway:^: Also bought a low carb bread that looked okay, no sugar and says whole wheat.

I love cold cereal in the AM and that seems to be the toughest thing sugar wise. I don't like oats, shredded wheat or bran flakes. Any suggestions? Even the Kashi's have 4 gms of sugar or more.

If something has added sugar, or cane juice, is it an absolute no-no or okay as long as the total sugar is 3 gms of less? I know, read the book again!

Quiznos is not 100% whole wheat. I eat there a lot as we have one right next door to work. I stick with the salads and I have my own dressings in the fridge at work. I wonder though about even their chicken. Sometimes it just tatstes "sweet" and I am curious as to what they cook it with as it comes pre-cooked and frozen. Lots of hidden sugars in restaurant food. I learned to look for all of that on Atkins. Never thought the chicken salad you buy at the deli was loaded with sugar but it usually is.

Chris! I can't believe you lived in New Milford too. I lived there 1990-1995 and then back to Bethel and then NM again until 2000-2003. I've lived in FL before but it sure keeps changing! Can't beat the weather but it'scrowded. Broward county is more than half the population of CT!

I haven't weighed myself as I don't own a scale but weighing in at the supermarket is daunting as the scale is right in front of the registers so I guess I will break down and buy one.

I think you are all doing great! Little slips are normal and expected and it's good to see that you all don't beat yourselves up over them. Complete deprivation is just a fast track to failure. So glad I found this board!!

chrgrl

B: shredded wheat 'n bran with skim milk, cinnamon, splenda
unsweetened applesauce
L: romaine salad with cucumbers, 3 oz chicken, parmesan cheese,
and ranch dressing
s: SF pudding
banana (technically illegal, but it was quite small and if i hadn't eaten
it i would never have been able to work out)
D: Morningstar veggie patty with slice cheese and low carb ketchup
Sweet potato cut up and sauteed with 2 tsp olive oil

no snacks yet, but i'm sure i'll have one or two. i feel so famished after i get home from work, it's hard not to just eat constantly once i get home.

Gmorning,

Grr So much for wishful thinking. I am up yet again. a pound and change. This week along with Sugar busters im going to count and measure. It is either I am eating way to much, or not enough. I know one cheat shouln'd make that much of a difference.

The other slight possibility is tue is that TOM. I know that is still pretty far away, but this is my first "real" tom as I used to be on the pill, and thinking maybe the hormones were screwing with my body I came off of it. Im hoping its just water weight..But lately I have no idea. The goal..Not giving up. Im not but Id be lieing if I said i wasn't furstrated.

Hope everyones day is better..Good luck with the weigh ins.

Happy Friday Girls,

Hope everyone is ready for the weekend. Not too much goiong on t his weekend. We are going to a Valentine's dance on Sat and we are taking my DD out to lunch on Sunday for her birthday.

Gym, crocheting will keep your hands busy and you won't want to eat. Msrubi, you menu looks good but you need some more fruit. How about Cheerios? Not the best, but legal. Your gain is probably muscle, Measure your body and see what happens.

Chrgrl, I want to start snacking as soon as I walk in the door. What makes us do that?

Bob, glad to see your post, now stay put. We may go see the Bucket List this weekend. First time we have been to the movies in probably 5 years.

Have a great day and a great OP weekend.

Good morning! This will be quick, as I have TONS to do today.

First off, Cheerios are legal...but not totally low glycemic. They have a bit of cornstarch in them, but no sugar. If you want to fudge just a tiny bit on the sugar, try Life cereal. I think it has 6 grams of sugar. Puffed Kashi has none, but puffed stuff is higher glycemic. You can have all bran, and bran flakes. Just read the labels. I would rather have shredded wheat than all bran though. :)

Tom's interview went great yesterday and they called and asked him to come in this morning to talk about particulars. If they make a decent offer, he will take it. The job would be fun...they do gaming software! :crossed:

I will be back later!

TGIF everybody!

Well it is that unfortunate time of the year....Girl Scout Cookie time. I have no idea what possessed my DH to buy 4 boxes!!!!!!! Including my absolute favorite Samoas! So he tells me well hun I just thought this could be our last splurge before the treadmill arrives <sigh>.... So he knows I am the world champion cookieholic!

Gorgeous day here today and I think the weekend will stay decent. I must motivate myself for a walk outdoors.

Someone was talking about activities to keep busy instead of snacking. One of my favorites is crossword puzzles.

I love cheeros, raisin bran was always my favorite, but since having gastric bypass I am very lactos intolerant even 1/2 cup of skim doubles me over in pain. Haven't found a soy substitute that I like yet.

Morning ladies; I'm so glad its Friday and Steve will be back from Calif. tomorrow. I'm planning on cooking a pot roast in the slow cooker. And making him a nice dinner. Its been lonely here alone. I've not got much done like I'd planned. Won the cutest sweater on ebay and it got here yesterday. Its a button up one blue with fuzzy sheep on it. Eating hasn't been great. Yesterday I ate a couple of peanut butter legal waffles for breakfast and nothing till later about 3 in the afternoon. Then popcorn last night. My eating is all messed up. Today I have to go into town for a couple of things. I'm left with the old van and sure don't like to drive it. LOL. Anyway its just one more day. Have a good day everyone.

Mercee: I had my gastric bypass in Feb 2002. 6 years ago. I was almost at 400lbs (dont know exactly how high I ever got, couldnt weigh at home)when I had it and had totally uncontrolled diabetes on insulin. At 8 months post op I was down to 247 and there I stopped. Since then up and down the same 20 lbs. But still 260 is a whole heck of a lot better than where I was and taking one pill for diabetes is much better than 120 units of insulin daily. I realize I have to use good old fashioned diet & exercise and will power if I want to drop the rest of the weight I want to lose, and Lordy it aint easy.

Well everyone, hello. I am typically not doing SugarBusters, but I found that during Lent I have wandered into something similar. I decided to give up sugar for Lent, so my rules are no added sugar and nothing with sugar (or any form of it) in the first 5 ingredients on the label. So I am into day 2 only and have 38 to go, and surprisingly I havnt been CRAVING any since I dont have it anyway. But I am only in the beginning and I am not really doing it as a "diet" more as a sacrifice (with some good benefits..lol).

I realize I am not doing what you all are, but wanted to pop in and say HI anyways.

Hey Guys..

Day was good..As thought I am not eating enough..Its 830--I had dinner and I still have points left. Funny. (I used the same menu as I have been. Tomorrow i'll bulk up more during the day, so im not left with as much food needed at night)

As far as the cheerios..I edited my post. I apologize for wrong information, However..It is my understanding that anything legal my not have added sugar of any type. Cheerios, although it's listed as 1g under sugars has SUGAR listed in the ingredients. Maybe im totally off the mark here. Can someone please explain how this is legal?

I did well with eating today. I think I am like Gym, some days I don't eat enough. Today: B- oatmeal

On the Cheerios...there is a little bit of sugar, but less than one gram per serving, so it is ok. It has to be less than 3 grams per serving to be legal. The first ingredient is whole grain oats. The one that is most problematic is the modified food starch.

Just thought I would pop in and let you all know Tom accepted the job. He starts on Monday. :woohoo:

Well the visit to my dentist brought bad news. A root canal I
had done back before Christmas seems to be a dud. It has not
felt right since it was done. It has been checked, rechecked,
x-rayed by both the root canal dentist and my regular dentist
and nothing shows up. This leads them to believe I may have
a fracture deep within the tooth for which there is no help, it
has to be pulled. My dental insurance doesn't pay all that much
so the money I spent on the root canal will be all for nought if
it comes out. I have oral surgery in a few weeks to look at the
tooth and take it out if need be. I am not in any pain because
with the root canal the nerves don't work but my dentist says
there is tissue inflamation and a bit of drainage. Always something
it seems. I am sick of dentists and all the rest of it. Thanks for
letting me vent. My food has been fairly good. A couple of slips
but considering my past eating behavior it's not been that bad. A
good weekend to all. SMW

I am taking a rest day from the gym..Im hanging out in my jammies and reading. its wonderful. HA Plus the weather is yet again sucky and blah. Is it spring yet? I will work out today though, I have a birthday party to teach at 2. Fun times

Thin-Awesome with the 4 pound drop. Your earned it. Its always good to see a decent drop after a plateau.

Michele-Ha your funny, I have a lot of energy for the most part because I never stop. When I do..forget it. Plus im only 25, not married and no real kids. I hear that sucks the life right outa a person. LOL I kinda want to get a jump on loosing weight now while it's "easier" although its not easy one bit. I CAVED yesterday...went to PUBLIX...the GIRL SCOUTS were out front selling their cookies....I never carry money, but happened to have a $5 spot in my purse. I held it up and asked..."what will this buy?" The Leader said 1 box and changes of course...I took a box of THIN MINTS and told them to KEEP THE CHANGE so I feel that I've done my good deed for the day....BUT....I confess.....I ate some of those YUMMY COOKIES when I got home....

ATTN all you UNCLE SAM'S eaters....DO NOT GO TO THE HEALTH FOOD STORE TO BUY!!! They will charge you double the price. I have been eating this wonderful cereal for years and lucky for me, PUBLIX sells it for a little over $2....WALMART has it really cheap if you have one near you.

MONET....Tell TOM he can ALWAYS remove said "shoes" under his desk and wiggle his toes while he works! Now, is this a contract job like before?

I'm off to do the weekly shopping...KATE wants CHICKEN n DUMPLINS!!!! Not good for BOB, but I can have the stewed chicken....also think I'll whip up some fresh KALE...

Hi Everyone~

I'm back and this time for good!!!! I need to do Sugar Busters....I tried weight watchers again, but all of the food are trigger foods and a 100 calorie snack turns into the whole box, etc. I have been doing some reading and I just ordered agave and a cookbook that goes along with it. I feel really good that Dr.Oz recommended it. I did sugar busters in 2001 and felt wonderful, it's time to begin the detox and feel better. I hate the addiction, I am thinking of going to OA in addition to following the Sugar Busters plan. I am committed to this...I have no other choice. I have severe diabetes and I am not taking care of my-self!!!!!!!! I look forward to chatting with you all!!!

I get it from Amazon and it is pretty inexpensive there. What is the book you got on using it? You will have to let me know if it is good. I saw one and almost bought it, but was in save mode since my husband was out of work. He starts a new job tomorrow morning, so I am more willing to buy stuff now! :)

Hello everyone - I have returned from the land of wonderful grandkids! Oh what fun it was for them to be here. I enjoyed every second of it. The house is so quiet now, hard to believe they were even here. Of course all we have done since Thursday night has been eat. Thursday night was buffett, Friday lunch was buffett, Friday night was buffett, Saturday night was IHOP.
However, I am extremely pleased to report I did not put anything on any of my plates that I was not supposed to! I guess the main reason is because it seemed like we were always eating and I just would not be hungry. I did not desserts at all on any eat outs and no breads either, except at IHOP and I had a side order of WW toast. I am looking forward to getting on the scales in the morning.

I did go to sprawl mart after they left and tried on a pair of size 18 jeans. They were the stretch kind, but didn't stretch enough. So not down to size 18 yet, didn't think I would be, but just wanted to see how close I am.

Well I haven't caught up on any other posts yet but I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

NOTE: if I had known grandkids were so much fun-I would have had them first! ha ha

Mom-Hey Im pretty close to you..Im in mass. Welcome. I hear ya about ww. I am back to counting points because its easier to track what i eat..but i only have sb foods. I have so many more points left than i ever did. Those 100 calorie packs were a killer for me. There is nothing healthy about them.

I had a decent day..I only had one birthday party so it was about 20 min of exercise. Not to bad. The menu-(today was not a very hunry day for me..this almost never happens I was happy)

Brunch-3/4 c egg whites, stir fry peppers, and 1 oz 75% cheese. 1 low carb ww wrap to make a breakfast burrito.

S-1c Cottage cheese, 1 c applesauce, cinnamon
S-1 slice low gi bread 1/2 teas PB and J
D-4 1/2 ox Chix w/tomato's, 1c peas, 11/2 c broc, 1 sweet pot.

I know it was probally to much starch but i needed to add pts to my dinner..and aside from 7 ox of chix the pot and peas added 4. I hope this will help. if not next week i go back to eating less and waiting it out.
s-sf coco w/splenda made with water..1/2 c coffee and 1/4 c milk to taste

stir up terrible cravings for me also. The only way to deal with it is not
to eat them at all. The starches I do eat I try to make sure are whole grain
and have lots of fiber. This slows down the absorption into the body and
helps prevent cravings. I am having success using the WW points system
and eating Sugar Busters legal food. It is coming off very, very slowly but
I am losing. My age (61) may have something to do with how slow I am
losing. I feel it is better to lose a half pound a week than to not lose at
all or even worse gain. Good luck, you can do this!!!!

Just a fly by, They are predicting 6-`0 inches of snow here tomorrow morning. I hate it. Now I will have to worry about that all night. I didn't sleep after 2:30 last night so tonight will be up checking the weather. If I didn't have to go out, it would be ok, but you don't stay home here.

Monet, I'm so glad Tom took the job. starting Monday is quick.

Ray, Gym, and all others who lost this week. :cheer: Keep up the good work.

Off to the Dr. Talk to you tomorrow.

Hey Solly Solly,

Is that 6 inches of snow......yick.......can you believe - it's MINUS 24 here - like who lives in that besides the Eskimos!!!

No bingeing on the weekend. A total miracle.

I'm still following Eat to Live like a lunatic. I just love it and I'm not eating sugar either......I don't know why but my fear of disease has increased this last while and I don't like the feeling. Eat to Live seems to calm me down a lot and incorporates all my beliefs that felt scattered - E2L is a hole in one!!

Mercee - Are your 3 people out sick - I just hate when that happens - 'cause then I really have to work at work!!! :)
