Does anyone have a recipe for making tortilla shellls or soft tacos. I know that there isn't much in them except flour salt and water. Can any one help me with this recipe?

I know that there isn't much in them except flour salt and water. Can any one help me with this recipe? anniebluesky 04-18-2002, 11:38 AM I just made some last night! Here is the orginal recipe (I will put my modified version that I made last night to follow): 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 3 tbls shortening 1 tsp baking powder 3/4 cup water Modified version: (Makes 16 rather thick tortillas. If you like thinner ones, recalculate points) 1.5 points each 2 cups whole wheat flour 2 cups white flour 2 tsp salt 2 tsp baking powder 3 tbls shortening 1 1/2 - 2 cups water Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. (I think the shortening could be decreased more and they would still be tasty.) Stir in water. (I like a soft dough and use more flour when rolling out.) Roll out on a flour covered board to desired thickness. Place on hot griddle a minute or 2 on each side. Keep warm in a covered dish while making the rest. annie http://anniebluesky.tripod.com Deelite 04-26-2002, 07:47 PM Thank you for the recipe,Annie I will give them a try this week-end.
