I was reading an article on AOL, and saw this link to find out for free if you are missing money. I went there, and struck out myself, but who knows - maybe somebody here does? After all the sites I see out there that charge fees, this turns out to be government and legitimate. Thought I'd share - good luck!
that's great girls!!! I struck out too so don't feel bad... I plan to send this link to my address book too LOL, who knows maybe others out there might find out something.
Be sure and check in Delaware and Washington State. Many insurance companies are based in those states and you may find something there. Also, check every state you've ever lived. If your mortgage company is in another state and you refinanced, check there.
thank you so much for that link. I was on there. I will call on Monday and let you all posted. I also found some relatvies on there! Maybe since I am currently unemployed I can make this into a job and ask people for a finders fee! (Just kidding)
One time I checked and didn't come up with anything for my family, but then asked my boyfriend if I could search for his and it came up that his deceased grandmother had unclaimed money. I think it was something like $26 from an insurance company. That was a really interesting phone conversation I overheard with his mother... "Hi mom, someone owes grandma money..." O.o
