WW Clubs and Groups - Thursday Chatters
Greetings to all the losers out there! :)
Come join in the fun on this thread.
I had a great day OP. I took Dee's advice and drank my water before having a diet drink. Then, I had 2 Diet Cokes.
I scrubbed the kitchen and both bathroom floors. I worked outside getting my veggie garden cleaned out. I started trying to prune a little tree but the saw wasn't very good. I earned enough exercise points to have the two leftover pieces of pizza from yesterday. Tonight, I had a grilled chicken breast and veggies.
I can only hope tomorrow will be as good.
How was work today?
Dee, did your daughter have school today?
Take it easy tomorrow and have an good OP day.

Well, Well!!!
It's been snowing up here since 6am. It's hard to believe it sticking. The roads are not bad but it possibly will be by morning. I hope school is just delayed and not cancelled in the morning. Well see. :)
Hope everyone has a good on program day. It has been a rough one for me!
Dee, glad things are back to normal for you.

Hey All!
It's been a long time since I've been here but I'm back! Seems like everyone has been doing a great job keeping OP. I've been doing pretty good, This weekend was terrible though. Taylor (my daughter) had a sleepover so we were all eating fast food all weekend. but since then I've been journaling and keeping my water and exercise up.
My daughter is home right now due to a strike in the seperate school system. We are very lucky that Peter and I are able to juggle our schedules and one of us can stay home with her. Everyone is saying this is going to be a long strike.... they're talking MONTHS!!! boy I don't know if we can juggle our schedules for that long. I'm keeping my fingers crosse they can come to an agreement fast!
Talk to you soon:D
Susan, I hope your day finally got better and school wasn't cancelled for you.
WOW its been snowing here all day. Have no idea what time it started last night, but at 6:30 this morning my car was covered!!! Boy was I surprised. The roads were still clear which was a good thing, so school was in session, and I got to go to town and shop
Welcome back Dawn! Hope your daughters' school resolves their issues, so the children don't miss out on school. Your sleepover sounded like fun....but you've done a great job getting back OP from the sounds of it...way to go.
I need to finish up what ever it is I was gonna do :?: and then head to bed. Mornings come way too early. Have a great Wed everyone!-----Dee
Welcome back DAWN You have been missed. I was hoping you weren't gone for good. :)
Susan, I envy your snow. I hope you don't have to miss school and have a make-up day. Sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Today has to be better!!
Dee--y'all are having more and more bad weather. Maybe you should make some of Addey's chili.
Addey, how are you doing girl? Are you staying warm.
It seems we are all having cold weather now. Even me!!!
Tammy---where are you???????
I guess she's still having trouble getting in here like the last few times.
With this cold weather, I'm just not in any mood to exercise. I'd rather be like Dee and go shopping. ;) Although, now that I have no job, I can't afford to shop. :( I've gotten used to staying at home---but---I miss the money.
Have a great OP day, everyone.
(I'm starting us a new weigh in thread.)
It's cold here!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Everyone,
It isn't snowing and we don't have ice---but, it's sooooo cold to me.
Susan, is it still snowing in your part of TX?
Dee, how about your area?
Dawn & Addey, how cold is it in Canada right now?
Sis & Tammy----where are you girls????????
I'd rather stay under the covers and drink hot chocolate today.
For some reason, it seems like Friday. Could that be because it's Thursday weigh-in day?
I'm going to pass up the scales today. I want to give myself a little more time to show a loss.
Have a great OP day.
Tina
It's Friday.
I hope everyone has great plans for the weekend, even if it's just sleeping in all day tomorrow. ;) Sound pretty good to me.
I am so happy. I weighed on my scales and was down 1.6 pounds. (I reported this on the other thread.) It was water retention and that makes me feel so much better.
My goal today is to get in more fruits.
Sis' mother goes home today. Yea!!!!!
Happy Go Texan Day, Y'all!

Hey ladies!
Well things are quiet here, Peter is sick in bed. But that actually works out well for me, I have to get to the office, and since he's home to be with Taylor I can get there without luggin her with me. boy oh boy do I hope this strike ends soon!
Well Peter and I have decided it's time to start making this family bigger:o We have been married for 8 months now, and we're happy and settled in our new house. Peter and his business partner just gave themselves a raise, so we figure what better timing then now?!?!?! So now we just wait and see where nature takes us. We have planned and booked our summer vacation, we are spending 2 weeks in Disneyland and 2 weeks in Mexico! So even if I get pregnant now I'll be no more than 4-5 months and that's still in the "OK" for travelling time... but who knows how long it'll take to get preggers! I hope it's sooner rather than later :D
Pretty exciting hey? I'm going to stick with my weight loss, but I am not going to keep going to meetings, I'm just going to weigh myself on Thursday mornings and stick with OP until I get pregnant...
Wish me luck!
Dawn, that's really exciting about you starting to get pregnant.
I'm a little confused, though. Why are going to stop going to WW meetings????? This would be the perfect time for support.
Also, they have a booklet just for pregnant women!!!!!
I think you should reconsider. Just my opinion. ;)

Howdy,
Congrats! Tina on your loss. I knew you could do it!!
Addey, sorry you feel miserable!! Bloating is horrible!
Dawn, just think of the bonus points you'll be earning on the way to getting pregnant. I agree with Tina.... you should stay OP after you get pregnant. All your dr. has to do is write you a note saying it is ok. My sister is doing it. Your news is very exciting. Sounds like fun vacations!!!
Me, I gained this week. Not sure how, my scale showed a loss but her's showed 1.75 gain! Boo!! :( We to On the Border after school to celebrate my friends "Teacher of the YEar" Didn't drink but ate way tooooooo many chips!
Off to clean the house. Pat's band is playing tonight so he'll be home LATE!! I'll go entertain myself for a while. I stay awake much later when he isn't home!
Here to a great weekend!!
Susan :)

Long time, no read! What a hectic week, and I'm not even sure what I was doing! Ballgames mainly, grading papers, and going to bed early every night. No time for the computer.
Lots of schools around us were on delays because of fog this morning. I wish it would've hit here too! LOL I could have used some extra sleep. Tim too. He's been fighting a cold and high temp. off and on this week.
It was almost 60 here today, which is quite nice for February!! Supposed to be nice tomorrow also.
Not much to say, just wanted to check in.
Tammy
Susan, Sorry about your gain.
Cleaning house on a Friday night :( Not a fun, thing but I understand. Hey, why don't you go watch the Olympics! You say, why isn't Tina watching them? LOL I tried but wasn't inspired.
Have a great weekend.

Tammy, hope Tim gets to feeling better. Sounds like you just need to rest. Hope school slows down, I know how it is though. We are getting ready for the TAAS test. It's the major test that occurs in the spring every year.
Tina, funny you mentioned the Olympics. Those were my exact thoughts!! I think I enjoyed them more when they were just every 4 years. I did get the house cleaned. I had a wild Friday night!
Off to get ready for a technology workshop. We have to have so many hours in professional development in different areas, every 2 years. My 2 years are up in May. I have 7 more hours to get in Technology. This workshop will knock 3 hours off. Nothing like waiting until the last minute do get them done. :dizzy:
Have a great day. Our goal today is "Drink our Water." We can do it.

Tina and Susan,
Thanks for your advise.... I think I'll go in next Thursday and talk to my leader about it. I am really afraid to gain too much during pregnancy. With my first I gained so much and that's what pushed me over the edge to become a "Big girl" When I got pregnant I was 125lbs, the day I gave birth I was 192. I have never been lower than that since. So that is one of my biggest fears. If I can get a note from my Dr. stating I can remain on the program during pregnancy that would be wonderful! I would keep my gain under control! I've been checking out a new site called ultimatebaby.com. There is a WOW (wonderful overweight women) section and I love it. I get a lot of great advise from these girls. One thing that I've found is most overweight pregnant women tend to loose weight during pregnancy. So that gives me some hope and inspiration. But I realistically I know better, every woman and every pregnancy are different...
Sorry to blab on, but I'm so excited! Today they are having a show it's called "Everything you wanted to know about Sex" it's like a home and decorating, or car and boat show... so we're going to check it out and see what all the hooplah is about... but it's kind of good timeing hey?
And tomorrow.... a fun filled day of house cleaning! Woo hoo! We desperately need to clean out the garage! We started cleaning it about 3 weeks ago, and it's left in the middle of completion. Peter can't even park his civic in it right now... so of course during the worst snow of the year he's stuck parking on the street. So I'm determined to put it off no longer! We will complete it tomorrow... I hope Peter is feeling better to do it with me though, he was home sick yesterday :(
Good luck to everyone this weekend... I know that weekends are the worst for me! I try so hard to stay OP but it never seems to work! I'm hoping all the walking around today will help, I'll make sure to bring a big waterbottle!
have a great weekend!
Happy Monday!
I hope this is a good day for everyone.
Sis, how is your mother doing at home? I hope all is well.
I've been so OP today. I've had half my water and intend to finish it up before suppertime.
It's very chilly out but I'm going to bundle up and take a short walk.
Good luck to us all.

Hey girlies, (like my new word? :) )
It was chilly here this morning too.
Dawn, I'm going to tell my sister about that site. She just found out she is pregnant with her 3rd. The youngest is 1. Let's just say she was a little surprised but very excited. Of course, so is her big sister! :D
Tina, did you get out for your walk? good for you I'm going to be your way in March. Actually Galveston for a conference. We will fly into Houston. I'll let you know when I know more.
Tammy, did you get all of the papers graded?
Have a great evening. By the way, I stayed the same today. I was hoping for a loss. Maybe Wednesday.

Tammy

Susan, that's one thing that I do best is get my papers graded! Sometimes I do get behind on the handwriting, but not often.
Got quite a bit of walking in on recess duty today. The kids think I'm nuts because I'm always moving somewhere. Sometimes I even shoot some baskets! Hardly make any, but I shoot them anyway.
We don't have school on Friday and Monday, mini-break. Dumb thing is, we are out the following Friday because of conferences. I think they should have put all three days off together to make a 5 day weekend! Wouldn't that have been smart? One of these days, they'll listen to my opinions. (yea, right!)
Howdy!
It sounds like we have an Olympic hopeful here--Tammy :D
Tammy, you are really getting in your exercise.
Susan, Congratulations on becoming a new aunt soon! Hey, I thought you were coming to Houston this month for a stamping thing. Let me know more about that conference time next month.
I didn't go out to walk yesterday. It was just so cold that I stayed in and walked in place. I saw that on the Today Show. Some woman has written a book on it. ?????
Hope everyone stays well with all this cold weather. "They" say it's flu season now. Did everyone get a flu shot? I procrastinated and didn't.

I've never gotten a flu shot. I think all of the years of teaching have made me almost immune to things! Seriously! Sometimes I get a cold or sore throat, but it is very rare for me to get really sick. Knock on wood!!!
I saw a video about walking in place in an advertisement in a magazine a while back. Wondered how it would be. I used to do exercise videos where we used to live, but the size of our "tv room" is much smaller at this house. I'd hurt myself by running into the furniture! LOL
Hi All,
the walking in place thing I saw showed you mainly walked in place! You could walk around in the room but you did have to have much room. It's good. I don't know how long or how many points it uses up. That's something to ask my leader, I guess.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Hope all my buddies have a great day.
I'm sure Dawn will have a good one.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a great Valentine's day!! I ate way to much!! One of my aide's is moving is to Detroit, we had a potluck lunch. Of course, I won't weigh in tomorrow. Hopefully, I didn't do tooooo much damage! We are going out to eat tomorrow.
Tina, I won't be coming now in Feb. or March. The stampin workshop was cancelled on our account since we didn't have a lot of the supplies. My March trip to Galveston was the wrong date... it is in June. I'll let you know the specifics when I know them.
Hope you have a happy day.
Susan
Susan, did you get your test results? We hope you got good results. Please let us know.

Happy Saturday
My son and I had the best time last night. We went to a hockey game. Now, we know very little about the game since it's not a big deal down here. There was a catch to going last night.
Larry Hagman was there promoting organ donation.
We got to meet him and get an autograph. He even talked to us (he'd just been signing papers for everyone else) and I shook his hand. We are big fans! It was a real thrill.
My husband had a touch of stomach flu and had to stay home. :(
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Tina, how neat about meeting Larry Hagman! Organ donation is a very big thing around this area. We have had so many children who have received transplants (my cousin's son, our neighbor's grandson are two I know personally). There was a big walkathon a couple years ago, that a bunch of us from town walked in. It was a 6 mile walk. We were pooed out when we were done, but it was worth it.

Hi all,
Hope it has been a good day. I haven't done a bunch... but I now have a clean house and sporting a new haircut and color.
Tina, hope your husband feels better. That stomach bug is going around, hope you don't get it. It's neat that Larry Haggman talked to ya'll. My friend's husband just had a kidney transplant.
Tina, which test results were you talking about? (the ones from the doctor's office?) If so, they still don't know anything yet.
Tammy, I'm impressed with the 6 mile walk. My goal this fall is to do the Suan G. Komen walk. Hopefully my knee will be up to it as well.
Have a relaxing weekend.
Susan
Happy Monday!
Susan, you had mentioned getting test results from your doctor. Those were the results I meant.
Tammy, I don't think I could do a 6 mile walk. Was it on level ground? What sport is Tim playing now? You are so lucky that he enjoys so many. He'll be a well-rounded individual.
I had a good weekend. I didn't try to count points but did fairly good. We did have Chinese for dinner yesterday. I was a little piggy and ate everything on my plate. I usually don't eat much of the fried rice.
How did everyone else do?
Addey, haven't heard much from you.
Sis, are y'all still having bad weather? And, how is your mother?
Dawn, tell us all about your weekend away.
Have a happy Presidents Day!

Tina,
Didn't mean to sound dumb, but I had forgotten which results. Now isn't that bad :o they are still ruling out rheumatoid arthritis, hopefully I'll know something in March. Also, my thyroid levels are not right. They did another test so I'll call on Wed to get it. That may explain why I haven't been feeling just perfect. My meds will have to be adjusted, then maybe I'll get back on track and start losing again.
Hope you enjoyed the Chinese food. I love it and it is my favorite thing to eat. I love it all.
Susan
It's Tuesday and another day to stay OP and get healthier.
I get to go to the dermatologist this afternoon. I'll probably come home with red spots on my forehead.
I keep getting non-cancerous places since I stayed in the sun so much when I was a teen.
It looks like it'll start pouring any time now. I will have to ride my exercycle this morning so I don't get caught out in it.
Susan, do you take Synthroid for your thyroid? I take .1 mg @day. Years ago, they found a nodule on the thyroid. By taking the meds, it has disappeared. I don't like takikng medicines, though.
What's happening with everyone?
I think I'll start a new Weigh-In thread for us this week. :)

Hi,
Tina, I take levelothryoid .125 mg. I had Graves diesase and they gave me radio active iodine to slow down my thyroid. Of course I was the 2% that gained with Graves' and then gained when I became underactive. I just looked up the symptoms again for Hypothyroidism and I have several of them. Especially the depressed, irritability, fatigue, etc.... I get the new labs tomorrow. They will fax them to me and then I have an appointment for Friday with my family doctor.
Did it rain there? It did during the night but the sun came out this afternoon.
Thanks for starting a new thread. I was thinking we would need one soon.
Have a great tomorrow.
Susan
This thread is getting way too long and so I'll start a new one!
