I was just wondering what other people's favorite fragrance is? I have worn the same perfume since I was 11 and I smelled CK1 on my cousin's dresser! Anyone else a one-fragrance woman?

Cashmere Mist for me also. I have their deodorant stick & the fragrance lasts longer with that than with the eau de toilette spray.

My long time perfume is gorgeous smelling - at least on me...it's one that doesn't work for everyone - Angel by Thierry Mugler. I fell in love with it about 10 years ago.

For a while I would switch every year or so but when I started wearing Eternity I have stuck with it for the last 6 years and have no plans of changing anytime soon. Unless of course they quit making it!

Chanel #22. That and Chanel #5 are the only fragrances I can wear that don't change their scent with my chemistry. Anything else I've tried changes on my skin (and not in a good way!) So I stick with my #22.

Does anyone wear fragrance every day, or is it a special occasion thing?

I try to wear it often (my last bottle lasted way too many years), but often I forget.

I'm allergic to Chanel #5. I believe one of the base ingredients is lavender ... which I'm allergic to. My eyes get itchy and burn, I get an asthma attack (now that I know what it is!), hives, nasty headache etc.

It's so embarassing when I have a girl writing a test in my area on a computer (the computers are by my desk, the testing room is enclosed with windows). I usually have to end up asking someone to cover my desk for a few hours until the smell dissapates. If no one is there, I'll kindly explain the situation to the girl and ask her to leave (postpone). I will then phone the instructor and explain the sitation - in some cases the instructor will come and pick her up and have her write elsewhere. I got in trouble from the dean once... he threatened to fire me. Thank god we have a new dean now!!!

I'm kind of a one-fragrance type of gal, but I'm pretty open to lots since I seem to get perfumes as gifts a lot.

My fav and the only one I really buy....Givenchy Very Irresistable.

And I got Still by jLo for xmas....now normally I would not buy anything Jlo because I just dont, but this one smells awesome. I've been getting compliments on it like crazy.

And I never leave home without it.

I've never had a favorite until the past year...For our first christmas together, my boyfriend bought me the Estee Lauder set of Exotic Pleasures. Came with the full size perfume, the purse size bottle and the hand/body lotion. I LOVED it!!! This year he got me "his" favorite scent. Sun Moon and Stars by Karl Lagerfeld. I like it alot too. But "MY" favorite is Exotic Pleasures by Estee Lauder. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!

DARBY1...I wear perfume on most days, would never save it just for special occasions. Although, sometimes it seems like it is a waste if I don't go anywhere. I just like to smell good, and smell the Eternity.

I've worn Amarige by Givenchy for years now. I used to switch around every year or two (I did Jean-Paul Gaultier for a while, and one by some Japanese guy, and had a stint with Chanel No. 5 in college). I just can't do anything but Amarige now. It's one of those scents I don't really like much in the bottle because it's a little flowery, but I like the scent on me. I wear it pretty much every day because I like to always have the same scent, and I always spray a little in my hair, so I get compliments on having nice-smelling hair every time someone hugs me.

I'm currently loving Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue..yummy. I also love the Marc Jacobs original scent, but for some reason, I only like the solid. It works well anyway, since it is really transportable.

I used to wear perfume more often before I worked at a winery. We weren't allowed to wear scented anything! It interferes with wine tasting. Plus I'm allergic to most scents anyway.

I'll wear Angel or Paloma on special occasions though. If I remember that is.

I can't really wear perfume since I'm really sensitive to artificial smells. (I'll usually get nauseas) However, there ARE some that I really like.

- Jean Pateau 1000 Parfum
- Chanel No.5 (my mom used to wear it and I liked it when I was little)
- Bulgari Rose
- Bulgari Jasmine

I also tend to really prefer MEN'S fragrance. My dad used to have a bottle of Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Miyake Pour Homme that I 'borrowed' - it was just so light, I loooved it. Drakkar Noir is pretty good too, but it has to be put on LIGHT.

In general, I just prefer natural and straight up smelling fragrances like rose, jasmine, pine, cedar, lime, leather (the smell of the tack room when I used to ride everyday was like heaven on earth).. I HATE anything like baby powder or musk.

I like classic scents: Chanel #5 and #19; Caron's Bellodgia; L'Interdit (the original not the aldulterated one). Of the contemporary ones, I like D & G's Sicily, and the Jo Malone line, especially Pomegranate Noir and Necterine. I have several of her scents and combine them. I have given up a lot of girly things over the last few years (makeup, high heels) but I wear perfume daily. I don't know what I'd do if I had a job that forbade it.

I'm currently wearing Miss Buecheron (shower gel, lotion and perfume).

Past favs have included one from Issey Miyake (light green triangular bottle) and SJP's Lovely.

When I travel I prefer to bring a solid perfume since I've had such bad luck traveling with liquid perfume. So I like Marc Jacobs little compact solid.

Another vote for ACQUA DI GIO (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P12433&categoryId=C13580) by Giorgio Armani. I've loved this stuff for over 10 years now. Never get tired of it - although I do enjoy it more in the summer months since it's a fresh floral (sweet pea and jasmine). 2nd runner up for favorite is BURBERRY CLASSIC EPD (http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P0842&categoryId=C14093) - I wear this almost daily now that it's cold.

I like White Shoulders. Has been around a million years. Very soft, subtle and feminine to me. I remember when you could only buy it at the very expensive upper market stores. Now you can get it at stores like target lol.

I've got four different ones that I'm using. Kenneth Cole Reaction, Victoria's Secret Supermodel, Victorias Secret Very Sexy, and an Elizabeth Arden scent (don't remember the name). I go with whatever I feel like that day. My favorite has to be Supermodel.

I use many different fragrances. Some of my favorites are Organza, Sung, Casmere Mist. I know a lot of people like to have their "own" scent, however, I like variety and like trying new things. It gives me a lift, like buying a new lipstick .:)

Rennie...Whiteshoulders was my perfume of choice before I switched to Eternity. Before that Red Door and Poison and Acqua Di Gio...didn't like the last two so much...the Posion made me think of grapes. The Acqua was nice but once it was gone didn't really want more. I keep the bottles too...there's some really pretty bottles out there and I think sometimes I buy them for the bottle, lol.

I tried Happy once and OMG it smelled horrible on me, yuck. I've heard that Victoria Secrets Pink smells really good.

Angel by Thierry Mugler. I've been wearing it for about 13 years. It's the only perfume I wear and I wear it every day. I hate florals so before Angel I never wore perfume. This is the only one I've found with no floral notes. I think there are probably some others now, but at the time this was considered quite shocking.

Clinique Happy. I've been wearing it for about 8 years now. It must work really well with my body chemistry because people are constantly stopping me and asking about it. Shame I can't really smell it anymore, my nose has become desensitized to it. :(

For my birthday, my best friend got me a bottle with a my pic scanned onto it. Pretty cool idea! :D

Lately all I've been wearing is Zents Concreta - I have Pear, Water, Earth, Ore, Petal, Sun. I also have the complete set of testers, so I get to experiment. I bought a few on ebay and DH got me a couple for gifts. I like to mix and match them. I do rub it on my hands and rub through my hair.

Safari for Women, by Ralph Lauren. I fell in love with it when it was for sale everywhere, and of course they almost immediately took it off the Australian market.

Naturally.

You can still get the men's version anywhere, but that doesn't really help me. :D

I periodically buy it from overseas and get it shipped here. Surprisingly, it doesn't actually seem to impact on the cost much; the postage charges are offset by the fact that the perfume is sold cheaper overseas!

I love perfume! I really like switching my fagrance from day to day. When I wear the same fragrance everyday, I nose gets used to it and I can't smell and enjoy the fragrance anymore.

Some of my favorites:
Insolence by Guerlain, Blue by Ralph Lauren and Sentiment by Escada.

When I reach 50 pounds lost, my reward will be a bottle of Hot by Ralph Lauren.

L'Occitane. The whole store. I have my favorite and standby, the Rose & Reine, and my new fave of theirs, the Cedar (great winter scent). Their fragrances are fresh and inventive. I don't think I'll go dept store ever again!

I used to be loyal to my perfume, my mother bought it for me when I was like 10 It was from GAP called Dream it was very nice...ive loved it forever...i still use it, but ive moved on. I mainly wear the purple OMNIA from BULGARI and my Miss Dior Cherie, I use for night!

I can't wear anything "sharp" smelling, so many popular name brand perfumes are out. Eternity, Beautiful, Liz Claiborne, Clinique Happy, Tommy Girl, and many of these that have been super popular over the years literally make me ill, and burn my nose. :lol: I used to have a teacher in school who wore Liz Claiborne, and I would get nauseated in her classroom.

I have to stick with two kinds...musky ones like musk, amber, or patchouli based, or ones that are more "dessert" sweet smelling. If there is any sharpness to the scent at all like when you walk into the perfume section of a fancy department store-I can't wear it...or sit in a room with you for very long if you wear a lot of it. :^:

My favorites:

Bath & Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar
Bath and Body Works Chocolate Amber
Plain ol' hippie patchouli oil

For everyday...I normally don't wear perfume. I use scented body washes and the coordinating body lotions. My current fave is Forever Frosting-I smell like cake batter. ;)

My fave is NOA by Cacharel. They don't make it anymore but you can find it online. It smells so delicious. Of course I haven't found something I adore as much except maybe Alien but I'm still up in the air about it.

Natural smells I love are honeysuckle, fresh cut grass and after it rains.

Clean laundry also rocks. ;)

I love VS Rapture. Can't beleive no one has mentioned it yet. I have been wearing it about 12 years now. I remember when I was 16 my mother went and bought me some for Christmas and I thought my father was going to stroke out when he saw the Victoria's Secret bag under the tree was for me.
I am allergic to just about anything with a scent, but for some reason that purfume doesn't bother me. Weird, because that isn't a light scent.

mmm i love perfumes i have so many - for everyday i tent to wear escada (any of them they're all so nice!), diesel red because its cheap and lovely for after work (mm coconut), channel chance but for nights out i love: alien and inocent rock by Thierrie Mugler, Jean Paul Gautier Classique, Ted Baker London!
oh and Gulraine Insulence if i'm going somewhere nice but not an actual night out! i spent waayy too much on perfume lol!

My current fav is Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana. But I also really love Heavenly by Victoria's Secret. For years though I was all about Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works but I can't stand it now.

I really like pacific paradise by escada, thats probably what I wear the most. Its yummy. And I do really like the lolita lempicka scent too, I have a super small bottle I got from sephora that I keep at work of that, if I forget to put on the escada one.

I love a very old-fashioned scent called L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain.

From what I recall reading about it, it was designed when WWI was about to break out. The Blue Hour was known as the time between sunset and dark, when the air in Paris took on a blue appearence, also a good analogy of the days leading up to the war, when Europe was to experience a very dark time.

When I wear it, I'm always asked what it is. And the bottle is pretty too.

I also liked Guerlain's Pamplelune, a more modern scent which I bought when I went to Spain. Gotta love the duty free shops.

I like the old stand-bys (and cheap ones!) Jean Nate and Wind Song. I don't know what it is about Wind Song, but I have always just loved it. Jean Nate is more of an after bath splash thing. I also have always loved Sweet Honesty, but I think its for teenagers. Anyone remember Baby Soft and Blue Jeans? I loved those when I was a kid, too.

My favorite bubble bath is the Soft Pink from Avon. My mom used to use it for me for my baths when I was little and still to this day, I smell it and think, "Tubby Time!!" I'm 42...I should probably grow up some day. :p

I remember Jean Nate and Wind Song. And Love's Baby Soft. (Do they still make that?) The fragrance I grew up wearing and just loved, loved, loved and I was so angry when it was discontinued was Babe. It is my fondest wish that some fragrance company, someday will take pity on all us Babe lovers and bring it back, again. I know that there are a few places that still have a tiny supply, but the prices are out of my range... Waay out of my range.

Don't grow up. It is much more fun having a young at heart attitude. Use and love your pink bubble bath. :D

Boyfriend just got me Dolce & Gabana's Light Blue for my birthday and I LOVE it.

For Valentine's day, he got me some perfume from Hollister(this is before I introduced him to the Sephora perfume wall!)and suprisingly, I like it. Its a fun, light floral scent.

Before that I was wearing Ralph Lauren Style and LOVE it. But my bottle was starting to go bad.

When I was little, I LOVED the original Ralph Lauren "Lauren" perfume...you know, maroon bottle w/gold top? I always had a bottle(my name is Lauren). I kind of want to get another, just to have. It is kind of strong.

I sort of OD-ed on the Bath and Body Works scents in junior high, but I have recently discovered one I love and so does Boy! He can't get enough---White Tea and Ginger. I need to order more offline.

I also love VS's Secret Crush, but it is discontinued.

I have my eye on Coco Chanel's chance and Marc Jacobs Daisy.

Oh gosh - I've gone through the whole thread, and I know I'm super late posting a reply so it's likely kind of a dead thread now - but I am so surprised, and also kinda glad in a way - I saw no mention of my "signature" fragrance!

I've worn Amor Amor by Cacharel for 4 years now, since it came out when I was visiting the US back in '04 - I love it so much, spicy and sweet, suits me well. I get comments on it all the time.

I also like the magnolia fragrance from that french place.. ugh I've forgotten the name, it's right there but I can't remember it - they make soaps and stuff as well. Someone else mentioned the place, but anyway, their Magnolia scent is delicious in summer.

She has a new one coming out in December, another one in her "Fantasy" line called "Hidden Fantasy" that is supposed to smell like cherries and vanilla, I looove the smell of vanilla so I'll most likely be buying that one too. Before "Curious" came out I used to wear "Hawaiian Ginger" by Calgon, until everyone else at my school started wearing it lol

I don't wear perfume everyday, it's forbidden at the workplace and I still find it to be more of a "special ocassion" type thing, but I did find two great ones that I wear from time to time.

1) Bulgari - Original
This is my absolute favorite favorite favorite scent - not to fruity, girly, etc. It's more of a spicy seductive type scent. It is kind of expensive, so this is only for very special ocassions.

2) Azzura by Azzaro
This is my second favorite scent. This is more of a fun, party scent, and that's exactly what I use it for. Again, not fruity, or girly. This one has been very hard to find lately though. I think that they may have stopped producing it :( Damn!

Hello misschris531, I'd like to say my fav is, white musk (only oil). I get it from The Body Shop. Thats always a good feeling when I get up and take a shower, Thats the first thing I reach for is the white musk then the deo. I know when I walk out the door I'm smelling great. One time after several times of going to the same gas station this guy ask me if thats what I was wearing , I was surprise that he knew the smell and he said it was such a nice musk but it was a lighter scent so I told him it was the oil. Lots of people tell me they like it and a few have even pick up some just for themself. So I aways stick to things that make me feel good about me. Hey have a great week and stay positive. I just bought "Pink Sugar" by Aquolina and I love it! It smells like cotton candy. Maybe a little juvenile, but I get compliments when I wear it :)

My staples are patchouly and sandalwood oil with just a little ambrosia. However, I like to mix it up. I don't feel the same all of the time and I don't wanna smell the same all of the time. I rarely finish a bottle of perfume before I move on to another. I love Euphoria, Cashmere mist, warm vanilla sugar, wonderful, angel, and my staple oils. Yay!

My favourite at the moment is Gucci No2 and I also like CK Euphoria for evening wear. I'm also really tempted to buy Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb next time I'm in taxfree, it's so lush and flowery.

Well, in the summer I wear CK One Summer (the orange and yellow one from 2005), during winter I wear Still by JLO and Very Irresistible by Givenchy. I just discovered Ma Dame by Jean Paul Gaultier. So I'm going to buy that one when I get to my 30 or 40 lb reward. I have a sample of the fragrance, so I've been wearing it. I'm in LOVE.

I'm friends with a few artisan perfumers so I wear fairly unique blends made by my friends...think heady and seductive...my favorites are blends of sandalwood, amber, and other essential oils but my most favorite of all is one my BFF made for me to remember our recent trip to India - pink lotus blossom absolute, sandalwood, amber....nomnomnom!

eta - my favorite commercial perfume is Stella McCartney's....love it! I use a dupe of the fragrance to scent my lotions and hair products.
