Default Am I losing my mind?

Seriously I have lost 9.5 pounds since the beginning of the year, It doesn't seem real to me. I seem to be losing .5 pound a day, is my scale right? I have been doing a great job at staying at 1400 calories a day and though I don't get to the gym everyday because I have 4 kids, I DO walk in place while swinging my arms for a good 15-30 minutes a day plus running after the little ones lol

Am I losing my mind? Is this real? lol

I can't speak to the nature of reality or how we can distinguish it from fiction* but often people do lose very quickly when they first start a new diet. It'll probably slow down as you go along, but you're doing great!

*Although I tend to think that, so long as the scale reflects what I want to see, it does represent 'reality'. When the scale says something unpleasant, I'm more inclined to disbelieve it.

It is possible - I lost about 3lbs per week when I first started.

DM - What do you mean 9.5 pounds isn't GREAT??!?! OF course it is!!!! Please don't sell yourself short! And especially if your husband has noticed. Scales might deceive you, but husbands rarely do !

Just keep doing what you're doing!

I lost 8 lbs the first week that I started on my weight loss "journey". After that it slowed down to the optimal 1-2 lbs per week.

Congrats! Keep up the good work.
