Default Stuck.....

Good morning everyone!!!!

Does anyone have any advice to break a plateau....I am stuck and it is driving me crazy!! In fact I keep going up and down the same 3 pounds for the last 2 weeks. I was going to do a FF or TO, but I decided to go vegetarian last month (after reading "skinny b*tch"...lol)...and it seems to be much harder given the protein choices....any ideas?

Thanks so much!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

The vegeterain options are usually fairly doable if you know how to vary it up. My favorite choice is the fresh ricotta which we can actually get around here without a problem. I use it as a base for tons of stuff, the most creative one I came up with was tossing in ravioli filling then eating it over shiritake noodles. It's almost like eating pasta. I've also scopped it into the cavity of a portobello mushroom, put on a slice of tomato and mozerella then broiled it. It's a meal that exchanges to 3 veggies, a protien, and a dairy.

I also eat a lot of the fresh ground peanut butter. It might be a bit higher in fat, but when I'm getting it fresh ground I know all that's in it is peanuts and no fillers and extra oil.

And when in doubt, there's always the frozen sections at Wholefoods, TJ's, and depending on the island as to where you are, Fairway can't be beat for the amount of vegetarian stuff they have.

Thanks so much for the info Megan!!! I love the idea of the portabello mushroom stuffed with ricotta!!! Where do you get the shiritake noodles? I tried Trader Joe's....no luck...I haven't checked Fairway yet. I had a friend pick them up in the city at Gristede's, but I would hate to ask them every time I need them. Plus I get real confused with how to count the "meat" or "chicken" substitutes....are they comparable to textured vegetable protein as far as portion sizes go?

Hi Lynn! I am on the gold plan with 1/2 extra protein. The past two weeks I have substituted luna bars instead of la lites. Thanks for any insight you can provide

I was going to suggest the Plateau Breaker as well-also instead of 2 lunas a day try 1 luna and 1 Lite Shake (it has 1/2 the calories).

GL-I've been having the same problem lately!

Thank you so much ChristyLee and Amy!!! I am going to try this next week. I also started some cardio this week...which I hate, but I know that exercise is important to continue losing. I am so glad I found this website and appreciate all the help! Hope everyone had a great day!

Fairway and Whole foods both have the shiritake noodles. They last for a while, so I typically buy multiple packages at once.

As for the veggie proteins, the burgers are in the book. The nuggets are also in the book, I know on red 6 is a protein. I usually dip the nuggets in fat-free ranch dressing. It's just a matter of finding which you like the best.
