Weight Loss Surgery - how long until approval

I have met with my surgeon, completed the psychological evaluation, physical and all medical tests and then met with the surgeon's office one more time (after I lost 10 pounds). I am now awaiting word from my insurance about whether or not they will approve the surgery. I don't know why they wouldn't since I meet all criteria. They have previously approved each step along with way. It has been a week. Do you know how long it usually takes for approval? I just want to get things moving.

I was told that might take up to three weeks. My answer came back in 5 days but that was unusual.

Waiting is the hardest thing isn't it??? I will keep my fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed for you! "Come On Approval!"

It is different from insurance to insuance. I know that doesn't help or answer your question but you just have to be patient a little while longer. I got all that done and got the approval and now am waiting on the Clinic to call and get me a date. So you have just a little longer to wait and the ball will get rolling. Hang in there.
