Which DVD do you have? I have one of the 10 Minute Solution Pilates DVDs and I can do almost everything in the video (pushups are still not happenin' for me). I am 50 years old and started pilates at 182 lbs.

You might want to try exercisetv.tv to preview some workouts and/or go to Collage video - they have previews of most of the videos.

You can also to a search here on 3FC - several people have posted comments about pilates workouts that they have tried

You'll get it. Some of the moves are harder when you are larger. The fat just does get in the way. I started pilates at 215.
I love pilates. You will get stronger faster than you think, and you will be doing moves that you can't believe, even at a higher weight.

I have the winsor pilates and also Pilates for Dummies. Both excellent.

For me pilates does what other forms of exercise don't do...or at least it's easier for me to notice! I LOVE Winsor Pilates and can do it at my weight. (My fav is Buns & Thighs.)

I started doing pilates at 215 lbs. I love my Windsor series, there are a lot of the moves that I still have trouble doing but they have modifying moves for those who aren't quite as advanced. It will eventually become easier, and before you know it you'll be able to do all of these moves. I too love the bun and thighs dvd.

I am going to take out my Windsor DVD's and dust them off. I am at a disgusting 215 (my heaviest weight ever) and I have to do something about it. I am looking for all types of support right now. I know I can do the dvd's, I am just lacking the motivation at the moment...
