Default Journal - Monday, January 28, 2002

I'm still here - just don't seem to get access to the computer at all since I not at work anymore. The number on the scale has been horrific, so it's time to buckle down. It's amazing how 4-5 pounds extra is so much more noticeable - before the weight loss, I wouldn't have probably noticed a 15 pound gain.

B:
Coffee 0/0
Oatmeal 2/2
FF yogurt w/cereal mixed in 3/5

L:
Healthly choice soup 4/9
Natural Ovens bagel 2/11

D:

Snack:

Water:
64 oz

Exercise:
Treadmill for 3 miles/4.3MPH/6% incline/460 calories burned

Point Range: 18-25

lala,

edward seems a wee bit low lately. so we think we need a little bit of a checkup. I hate to bring him to the vet. On the other hand, she is very helpful. mew...

Laurel-
I know its scarey, we just got the reminder for roya poya's
annual exam. At 15, its hard to take her to the vet. I am always afraid they will say something I don't want to hear.

I'm glad you have a great vet. I love roya's vet and he is always booked weeks in advance.

post-vet trip:
she said his heart sounded good. took some blood to check kidney function, something is elevated slightly (DH took phone message while I was at WW, didn't get details, will call vet myself on Thursday) but she is saying not to worry and give him fish oil. he lost some weight which is strange since he's eating normally. Anyway, as you say, dear lala fellow-elder-cat lover, it's always something with these very dear geriatric felines. I do love my Edward...sigh. Anyway, he seems normal. Yapping for milk. Took off half my finger playing with the catnip mouse just now. what to do? Must just enjoy him one day at a time.
