Question WLS - New Years Resolutions

Besides the obvious... weight loss, exercise....

Do you have any New Years (2008) Resolutions?

I find that ever time I make a resolution I fail by January 2nd.... So I don't make them LOL. Of course for 2008 I want to eat healthier but mostly get in more exercise... okay I don't exercise at all so I'd like to get in ANY exercise I can LOL.

How bout you?

I have 2 that are very important for me.
1. Do Daily Devotions & Read Bible (I find it easier & easier to skip days)
2. Find time for me to go for a walk daily (It changes my perspective on life & keeps me from gaining back any weight)

1 that is a real desire also is to have my husband & I working in the same state so we can live together again.

I don't usually do resolutions (never could find the courage to stick to one) but this year, I want to exercise dialy, take my vitamins and maintain my weight until surgery....then after surgery, I want to follow directions.

I want to find love and happiness. And do positive things for me - and all those around me.

I don't think those count as resolutions, though. Hmmm. Let's see. . .
I resolve to never go back to where I was before.
I resolve to exercise at least 3 times a week.
That oughtta do it.

Default Oh I hate this!

I hate resolutions because I never get through one, ever!! I'm just trying to get into a groove with this WLS and not get into any bad habits and be constant on doing the right things. But.....here goes:

1. I want to re-orient my world around others instead of me and my physical
and personal needs. Like volunteering at the hospital, do a month of Jr.
church and work in the church nursery.
2. Take a history or geography class
3. Still working on the ballroom dancing class
4. Take my grandsons fishing weekly this summer
5. Finish this knitting project that I've had going for two years!

Jaxnlula, I love your little sparkling Christmas ornament! I wish you all peace, prosperity, and lots of love and contentment for 2008!

Aside from upcoming WLS, my resolution for 2008 is to Get Organized! There is stuff crammed in drawers, boxes, and closets that I have no idea what's in there. When it gets to the point that you buy your DH a Christmas present that you already have (a book) that you FORGOT you already got him, then it's time to Clean Up. Embarrassing but true. Did I mention I just found Christmas bows and cards from about 5 years ago that I forgot about and went out and replaced about 4 weeks ago?? Now that's pathetic. There's no telling what's buried in *storage* around this house. I could open my own flea market, and actually may do just that! My kids always accuse me of being a pack-rat - now I see why.
