Default Ouch...exercise after being sick.

Here's my story:

Normally workout 5-6 days/week 2 hours/day. 60 mins. cardio, 60 weight training. I was sick for 9 long and difficult days this month (GRRRRR!) and could not get to the gym because ....well, we all know it's not good for me or anyone else around me to go sick. So...I went back Monday for the first time and did a 1/2 routine..30/30...to get back into it...cardio was fine, WL was difficult. Tuesday...60 mins. cardio, 30 mins. WL...seemed back on track and fully able to do everything I normally do...just didn't want to push it. Anywho...I woke up in the middle of the night with a pain on my butt cheek...ignored until I got up in the morning to find a huge bruise. I know I didn't run into anything or beat myself up...is it possible the cardio did this to me from a 9 day lapse (even though I did 1/2 workout the night before?) Good news is it isn't on the bottom of my cheek where I sit...but it is a fairly large and ugly bruise....got back to gym tonight and did good routine, regular 2 hours...didn't hinder my routine...just a little concerned.

Thanks for your help in advance!

I've never heard of bruising because of working out after a hiatus... If the bruising disappears I wouldn't worry too much about it... I doubt very much that it was because of the break in working out though...
