Hi there--

I'm curious, how was the "detox" process for those who went through it for Sugar Busters! ?? What was the most difficult parts and what tricks or tips did u rely on to make it through the hard parts of the detox phase?

Monet-- I know you mentioned that you also did Rosedale Diet back a few years ago... could you share any detox experiences you had (if any) with the Rosedale Diet as well as Sugar Busters?

(Monet, do you know of any Rosedale diet-related cookbooks that I could look into in addition to what Sugar Busters have published?)

Many thanks!! :)

Hi Tea...

I mentioned in the support thread that I don't know of any recipe books that are for Rosedale. There are tons of recipes for Sugarbusters in the recipe section however.

It has been a while since I read and did Rosedale, so I don't remember too clearly how it went. I do remember I had a hard time sticking to it and following it which is why I went back to Sugarbusters. I probably did not lose any weight on it either. Don't go by that from me though, as I have complex metabolic problems that make losing weight VERY hard.

On detoxing...all I can share is what I experienced with Sugarbusters. The best advice I got was to stick to plan, and not worry about portions at first. So, if I needed to eat half a box of triscuits to stay on plan, do so. Then, once I got off sugar and the cravings were gone, to THEN worry about regulating the portions. It worked. Except I have always had a problem with regulating portion sizes, so I have to work at that still. :)

LOL... thanks! :)

How long did the sugar cravings continue? I've been reading 2 or 3 weeks, sometimes a month or so.

All anyone can do is continue to work on portion sizes. Sometimes I think it's hard to do it since Americans have a terrific way of exaggerating food sizes at restaurants and in the food items we buy at a local grocery store/deli.
