South Beach Diet - Weekend on the Beach

View Full Version : Weekend on the Beach

12-08-2007, 05:07 AM
Good morning, everyone. I'm still working but have hopes that we will be done soon. I started at 10PM last night and it's 5 hours later. We still have one server that we can't log onto but we've called someone in Canada to have them reboot it locally.

I've got to be at the Leaf Rake service project in 5 hours so I don't think I will get much sleep. Maybe I can at least sleep 4 hours or so. We're going to try and have a garage sale tomorrow too. We won't be able to do it on Sunday since we've got a 40-50% chance of rain then.

I finally got a visit from TOM tonight. I was 8 weeks late so I'm glad it finally came. I see the doctor for my physical on Monday and I'm going to ask to go back on the Pill. Being this irregular is a pain.

I stayed calm this evening and didn't get upset with Robert even when talking to him about the $400 he spent on stuff he thought we needed and I didn't. I tried to explain that with over $2300 in medical bills for his hospitalization and $900 in car repairs and $500 in garage door repairs (not to mention the $40,000 pool we are putting in) that I just didn't feel that we should spend any extra money. I guess he felt that since I spent the money on the pool that I should be willing to spend money on stuff for the house. Men!

Barbara, I hope you get a little shut-eye before you have to go a-raking! Good luck with getting things ready for the yard sale!

We haven't left the house all day. It's been a bit bonkers. Avery has had two "happy undies" days in a row, though, which is very exciting - no accidents at all!!! I'm so excited. She's still in diapers for nap and bedtime, but it looks like we've crossed into diaper-free awake time!

Gotta get the kitchen cleaned up.

12-08-2007, 06:36 AM
Morning all you Morning Larks! The weather has be CArazy! Yesterday we had an ice storm come lectric, etc.... when we got service back there was nothing but reports of accidents all over. DH stayed home till bout 10am - by then the ice, I just stayed warm with the puppies and read till I could sign into work... this weekend more unpacking, and shopping. Were going to take a ride to Highpoint to find some office furniture ... and DH just got a team award of 2500 so thats an unexpected nice surprise! We have to stop at Costcos to pick up chicken.. Chicken is our main protein... saving beef for a 1x a week treat...

Have a great day chicks!

12-08-2007, 07:24 AM
Just popping in to say HELLO !!!!

12-08-2007, 07:27 AM
Hi Leenie! Thanks for stopping by!

Morning to you, too, Schatzi! Hope your errands go well this weekend and that you get some great chicken! You can have my portion, OK?

12-08-2007, 08:06 AM
Barb, way to go on keeping your cool even though I know you probably wanted to throw HIM in the pool.

Kara, a big hug to Avery! I remember buying eyelet panties for my oldest when she was doing the potty training bit. I told her "These are big girl panties and they can't get wet!" And that was pretty much it! We did have one accident I remember in the grocery check out line. Marie was sitting in the buggy, then the floor was wet. Luckily the check out lady had a roll of paper towels and spray behind the counter. Marie is now 26 and doesn't wet her thongs either! The boys were another thing entirely. I used to put a square of toilet paper in the potty and told them to sink it...they loved it. They are 23 and 20 now and I'd assume are pretty good at sinking it still., icky weather! I'll have to call my sister to see if they are ok with the electrical stuff. Stay safe. It is supposed to get up to 80 here today believe it or not. It was in the low 30's a few days ago. Crazy Louisiana weather...never predicatable. Right now it is very foggy, muggy and creepy..I love the way the spanish moss in my tree outside looks in the fog.

Hey Leenie...I love your avatar. AYBS is one of my all time favorites.

I'm trying to get a little work done, then we are going to go on our little field trip.

12-08-2007, 08:14 AM
:coffee: Good morning to all,

I've been awake off and on since 2:30, listening to Jake hacking away. :( He's all huddled under a quilt on the couch with a woebegone look on his face. Now, mind you, I've had my cold all week and have been hobbling around with a sore ankle and hardly complained at all, going on with my life, but he acts like it's the end of the world when he gets sick! :dizzy:

So I don't know what we're doing today. Right now we're getting a freezing rain, so I'm content to just settle in here at home. I'll probably do some baking a little later. Jake's asking for his oatmeal chocolate chips, Pecan Tassies, and peanutbutter kisses. I want to make a few varieties of biscotti and pizelles, too. I'd better check the pantry to make sure I have everything I need.

Barb, it's no wonder you're irregular, what with the stress you've been dealing with! I hope you get a chance to sleep before you have to start the day.

Schatzi, we were lucky to miss that ice storm yesterday, we got snow all day, but it's icy out this morning. It's really looking Christmasy! Have fun shopping in Highpoint, I've heard so much about the great deals on furniture that you can find there!

Kara, hurray for Avery! That's a big accomplishment!

 Leenie! Nice to have you pop in!

12-08-2007, 08:18 AM
Cat, I used the same "big girl panties" concept while potty-training, too. It really works! I wish I would have thought of that trick with potty-training Dustin, though. We'll have to remember that when Tyler is ready. Could you send us some of that 80* weather?

12-08-2007, 08:47 AM
Morning, Linda! Sorry to hear that Jake is sick. Men do have quite an armageddon attitude toward being ill!

Cat, I love your sink-the-paper story! Avery loves her big girl undies and she is so excited to wear them like her big sister! I'm a huge proponent of early potty training. Who wants to change all those diapers? I should figure out how much money I've saved in diapers by training early!

I just got done a Tae Bo video. I was sitting on the couch flipping through the channels and there was nothing on, and I said to myself, "This is a sign. I should be doing something else." So I popped in the DVD and got to it! Now time for a shower because I am not getting under my nice, clean sheets all sweaty like this!

I'm sure I'll check back in later!

12-08-2007, 09:11 AM
Had to share these. They're from a couple days ago, but she's just so funny! Avery is definitely the clown of the family!!!

(First one is Avery in a predicament on the potty and second is Avery in Tom's boxers - don't worry, they were clean, she got them off the drying rack!)

12-08-2007, 09:43 AM
Morning chicks,
I had a terrible night's sleep last night. I woke up from a bad dream around 2:30, then worried about DD2 for a while, then about DD1 for a while, then watched a dumb movie for a while. Finally got back to sleep around 6, then DS thought he'd get me back for tricking them when they woke up on Thursday snow day and telling them they overslept and had to get ready for school quick, so he poked me awake at 8 and told me we were running late. Funny guy... Now I'm sipping coffee and preparing to go weigh myself. I shaved my legs last night, so I'm ready to go. Just hoping I can pee one more time.

Barb, hang tough lady! Hope you can get a nap in today!
Kara, congrats to Avery! what a cutie she is! Wish I could have two "happy undies" days in a row (did I really type that?). My oldest DD was an overnight potty trainer too. Handed her some pretty undies, explained things, she said okay, and we were done. She spoiled me for the other two, who took YEARS.... And judging by the state of my toilets, both of my boys are still working on their aim.
Stay warm and safe Schatzi!
Hello Leenie! Come visit longer next time.
Cat, have a great field trip and enjoy the warm weather!
cottage, more power to you, being in a house with all that baking. No way I could resist!

Not much going on around here this weekend. I want to finish my weekly cleaning, grocery shop, and run out to buy a few gifts. DD gets back tomorrow morning and I think we'll go and get the tree and get that put up. It's supposed to warm up here too, so hopefully the ice will melt. Have a good one chicks.

12-08-2007, 09:47 AM
Schmoodle, I can't wait to see your little penguin friend get to the end of his ticker! Just sit on the potty until you have to pee!!! (Don't do it in your undies or that will be extra weight...)

12-08-2007, 09:58 AM
Good Morning
I did yoga yesterday an apparently I had underestimated the actual workout part. I have muscle in pain that I didn't even know were there. I absolutley loved it though and I only fell twice. I also only had to do 2 of the poses modified so I'm pretty proud of myself today:)

Barb Good luck with everythng and I hope you get some rest.
Kara Avery is adorable. Tell her congratulations on the happy undies days.
Schatzi Glad you got your electricity back and congrats on DH's award. Have a great time shopping but stay warm.
Femme Have a great day and enjoy the weather.
Cottage Enjoy your baking. I'm sorry to hear Jake is sick. Hope he feels better soon for his sake and yours;)
Schmoodle Good luck with weigh-in. Have a great day.

FH and I are going to Pasadena for Christmas shopping today. It should be alot of fun but they are still expecting some rain so we'll see. Off to shower and get ready. Have a great day !

12-08-2007, 10:03 AM
Hey Dawn! I've been meaning to tell you...DH stands for "dear (or darned!) husband". I'm thinking you mean to write DF if you're talking about your fiance...

Have fun in Pasadena!!!

12-08-2007, 10:09 AM
Happy Saturday, Chickies. By the time I get in here most mornings lately there are way to many posts. Sounds like everyone is doing fine.

Hersh and I are off to visit Harry this morning - if he's as cranky as last time, it'll be a short visit. I'm supposed to go to a tea this afternoon but am planning to opt out and avoid the food porn fancy sandwiches - and some boring and snobby people. The older I get, the pickier I get about how I spend my time.

It's a fairly mild day (just at freezing) so friend Rob and I may get the outside garlands and lights put up. No promises!

Haven't had breakfast yet - back later.

12-08-2007, 10:20 AM
That's probably my fault, Ruth. I wait all day for you guys to wake up and then I can't stop jabbering until my eyes get heavy and I have to shuffle to bed.

Have a nice visit with Harry! I hope he is in a cheery mood.

12-08-2007, 10:32 AM
Sigh, no good news to report chicks. I guess I'll be teetering on the edge of onederland for yet another week.
This one is for Avery and me:

12-08-2007, 10:36 AM
Thanks Kara. I will start using DF instead. On the wedding forum where I occasionally check in FH is future husband. Sorry for the confusion.
Schmoodle When I was weighing everyday sometimes the scale wouldn't move if I hadn't gotten a good nights sleep.
Ruth Stay warm.

12-08-2007, 11:05 AM
Hehe Dawn. For awhile I thought you were just really mad at him! Use whatever makes you happy...I get confused a lot, so it really doesn't matter. :)

12-08-2007, 11:18 AM
Good morning, all! I'm having such a pleasant morning, that I feel like singing!

Barb: Oh dear, I hope you get SOME sleep. Too bad about Robert being such a pain. I'm hoping he'll be out of your way and working soon so that you won't have to deal with all of this!

Kara: Yay for Avery! She is just too cute! Oh, and great job getting that workout in! You're such a great motivator for me when it comes to working out!

Schatzi: Wow, I hope that everyone is okay that was involved in all those accidents! Hooray for the extra 2500 - are you going to be smart and save it or be fun and spend it?? Stay warm!

Leenie:

Cat: I hope your field trip is a lot of fun and that it clears up before ya'll have to hit the road! I've always wanted to go to LA besides just passing through. Maybe one of these years!

Cottage: So sorry that Jake is sick. I wish I could say that I knew what you meant about men acting like the world is over when they're sick, but my DH just wants me to leave him alone and go away when he's sick. I guess I'm lucky! I've got to bake on Sunday for our work Christmas party (Monday), but I have NO idea what to make! Maybe I'll steal some of your cookie ideas!

Schmoodle: I have to say that, even though you're not in onederland, you've shamed me and that challenge I made to you a few months ago! You're way closer to onederland than I will be for a while! Congrats and I'm sure you'll see that "1" on the scale before you know it! I'm sure DD is doing great and how funny of DS to get you back this morning!

Ruth: I have to agree with you. Why waste your time with snooty people? I love tea, but only with people I really love! Hope the garland gets up today. And if not, who cares?! Just stay warm! Oh, did the dishwasher get fixed?

Dawn: Congrats on that great yoga workout! Sounds like it was great for you! Have fun with DF shopping. And thanks for changing it, I have to be honest that I had no idea what FH was! :o I guess we're to attached to our "forum-speak" over here at 3FC! Have a great day!

Me: Today's the big day; tree cuttin' day! I really can't wait for it this year! DH and I are going about an hour north of here to do it, so we're packing a classic Italian picnic to take with us. The only thing we're leaving out is the wine, since alcohol and chainsaws really don't mix! I'm hoping to find one quickly, though not as quickly as last year's. Last year it was snowing, we were hungover, and we were with some rather impatient friends. I'm looking to improve on the look of our tree this year!

Other than that, I've just got to decorate the tree, clean up a bit, do some laundry and then baking tomorrow. I hope everyone's doing great!

12-08-2007, 12:03 PM
I made it through Day 1 of Phase 1 and now we're on to Day 2....not too bad. I think I can do this!

Kara..yea for potty trained kids! My sister is mom to 9 mo. quintuplets and I can't imagine what potty training will be like when we get there!

12-08-2007, 07:10 PM
Mandy, I sure don't envy your sister when it comes to potty-training time! Congratulations for having a clean first day on Phase 1. The rest is a piece of cake, um, theoretically of course. ;)

It looks as if everyone has been enjoying Saturday. I drug Jake out to finish up our Christmas shopping, and he even treated me to breakfast. The stores are getting really crazy, though. We were smart to get out early. I spent the rest of the day baking 5 different kinds of cookies, and I only sampled one. :D Tomorrow will be biscotti day, and Amber is coming over to decorate the sugar cookies for me. It sure does feel good to sit down with my feet up, I think I've earned it.

12-08-2007, 07:45 PM
Hi Ladies:
Barb I hope you got some sleep. DH worked all day yesterday all last night till 4 pm today and now poor guy is zonked on the couch. I'm sorry soon-to-be Ex DH is being such a jerk!
Kara: Those Pics of Avery are Adorable BIG GIRL PANTIES!! Hey you could use the vanilla syrup in the cheesecake recipe. or Make cocoa with Unsweetened cocoa powder. . . I can post the recipe later.
Schatzi Staying at home with the puppies during a storm sounds DIVINE!! Hope you got some yummy chicken!
Good Morning Leens! :D
Good Morning Cat I love spanish Moss! When I lived in Fl it was everywhere!
Cottage you are awesome doing all that baking and only tasting 1!! Hope the shopping went well
SChmoo you'll be in onederland soon!! Have faith! I need to get a big pic of that and put in on my fridge
Dawn Hope you had a great time Shopping!!
Ruth I hope you and Hersh had a good Time with Harry and avoided the Tea Snobs!!
Kim I hope you had a great time with the tree!! Alcohol and Chainsaws LOL!
Mandy Good Luck!!

Me: I left work early thursday b/c I was in pain head to toe. I have fibromyalgia. So yesterday I went to the doc who gave me the new fibro drug. i'm taking less that have a regular dose but I get knocked out from kids cold meds. Its making me loopy but she gave me a month off work. I'm goign to need it Quiet day for us I'm just wrappign up in a blanket with the kitty and doing some knitting. I'm going to pop some celebrex until its time for my next dose of Lyrica. Tomorrow we finally get our TREEEEEEEE

12-08-2007, 08:04 PM
Kim, I laughed SO hard when you wrote about alcohol and chainsaws! We've cut down our own tree a couple times but always with a hand saw. When we were in California we read that you can pay $10 and go cut down your own tree in the National Forests. This sounded like a great, money-saving idea, but we came home with the most incredibly pathetic Charlie Brown tree you could ever imagine! Here are some pics...

Mandy, glad you came over to the daily thread! How much fun is it being an aunt to quints???

Linda, you are my inspiration for being an on-plan baker! I have decided to wait until Phase 1 is over because I'm afraid I'll blow the whole thing if I bake now!!!

Kierie, I am so so sorry about your fibromyalgia. I hope the new meds work out for you! Rest up and destress!

12-08-2007, 08:18 PM
I am officially done shopping :carrot::carrot:
Cottage You're right you were smart to go early. I thought it was funny, though, for as busy as it is out there the grocery store was a ghost town.
Mandy Congrats on making it through day one. You can definitely do this.:)
 Kim
Kara:rofl: As I was out doing my shopping it occured to me that everyone might have thought that. Again thank you for letting me know. :)
So DF didn't go shopping with me which is probably why I got it all done. I had a great time though. It's cold and feels like the holidays. I'm off to cook dinner hope everyone had a great day.

12-08-2007, 08:23 PM
Glad you got your shopping done, Dawn! I do love shopping, but crowds are not my favorite.

12-08-2007, 08:32 PM
Wahooooooooooooooooo! Hi everyone!

Ok so I'm not a big fan of Springfield turning into a skating rink. Had freezing rain last night, then it stopped, and started again today and we're supposed to have an ice storm all night and all day tomorrow, to finally stop Monday. YUCK! Brrrrrrr I hate this! I've scraped my car 4 times today, and I realized that I don't have any gloves. Don't know what happened to them but they apparently didn't move with me.

Sounds like everyone's busy busy busy! Me too! I'm going to stay in and watch a movie tonight, and may help my parents paint tomorrow if the roads are ok to drive on. Have missed you girls. Sorry I haven't been around a whole lot but things have just been wild here! Love you all, and hope your pre-holidays are going great! Talk soon.

12-09-2007, 12:20 AM
I am tired, ladies. I'm waiting for Brian to get out of the shower so I can read to him and we can both crash. I got to bed at 3:30AM and then my pager kept going off starting at 4AM so I had to get up and work for another 15 or 20 minutes and then try to go back to sleep. Robert was coughing around 5 which woke me but he did leave the room so I could sleep until the alarm went off at 7.

The leaf raking was fun and I talked to Pam who might agree to be our registrar for Twilight Camp. It is a huge task but it would make a great Wood Badge ticket item. She'll let me know soon.

We didn't get the garage sale started until about 10:30 but we sold quite a bit. Most of it was Brian's stuff so he earned $61 from the sale. We went to Walmart tonight to look at paint. He wants to totally redecorate and switch from Pokemon to Western/horses. The good thing is he can pay for most if not all of it with his gift cards from selling popcorn.

Time for bed. Talk to you tomorrow.

12-09-2007, 05:06 AM
Congrats to Avery, I have my littlest DD almost there, just have to get her to figure out going number two is also for the potty--long struggle but we are getting there slowly but surely.

Weezle, I feel for you we are just at the borderline where it might turn into freezing rain, I work in St. Louis but live on Illniois side and I don't get off until 5 a.m. so I keep watching to make sure I will not have to drive home in that stuff so far it is holding up to just rain and not switching to freezing.

I went out into the crowds Saturday afternoon, it is getting crazier and more crowded each day- I am down to just two people left to buy for and I think I might just do online to avoid crowds.

Have a great Sunday everyone

12-09-2007, 07:44 AM
Quick Fly by...since I took off yesterday, I'm snowed under in work, but thought if you'd like to take a tour of The Plantations ( saw yesterday, I'd share the photos. We had a wonderful time. The fog finally cleared around 11 and it turned into a beautiful warm day.

12-09-2007, 08:38 AM
Thanks for taking us along on the tour, Cat! St. Francisville is really beautiful, you must have really enjoyed your day.

It's raining and ugly outside. Jake's cold is worse, so I think it would be wise for us to just stay home today. I'm going to get the rest of my baking done, and I have a small mountain of laundry that needs attending to. I want to see the grandkids today, I haven't seen them all week, but I don't know if it's a good idea for them to come over with these cold germs in the house.

12-09-2007, 09:23 AM
Morning!! what a bunch of cacklers this weekend :gossip: :blah:

Kara_ Avery is a doooor a bull!!!! And what lovely family pics you shared! OK the tree is charlie brownish, but nothin a little garland cant help with ! :tree:

Femme: Thank you for sharing your visit with us..just an absolutely gorgeous place!

Barb: this time I'm goin to be smart about unpacking and put stuff in a "garage sale" bin. This way when the neighborhood has a sale, I'll just pull out those boxes.

Cottage: Sorry Jake is under the weather..better now then for Xmas though... even so, men are weinies! (no pun intended ;) )
Pearl : The Shopping end is in sight!!! Thin be done!!!I havent even started! OY!

Weezie Gone wild in Springfield???? What the hoodledoo is goin on???Enquirin minds wanna know!

Kim  alcohol and Chainsaws! Sounds like a beautiful day planned...

Schmmmmoooooo: YOU WILL GET TO ONDERLAND THIS MONTH!!! :yoga: The great schatzarina seeeees this in yer future!

We ventured to highpoint yesterday, I musta looked at 100 office suites... and nutin! but we had to cut our visit short as I had such a bout with cramps and gas.. which I dont get... not sure if it was too much cabbage from the night before or what... I know TMI ! Anyways, today is more unpacking... I have to admit after the rush to close and pack I just kinda ranoutta steam... hopefully I can make a big dent today..... so CAWFEE pot #2 is perkin up .. time to git my substantial butt in gear! Have a great day gals!

12-09-2007, 10:35 AM
Good morning ONEDERLAND!!!:cb::carrot::dance::dance:
Schatz, you are magical, I decided to weigh one more time this morning before putting the scale away until next weekend and I am definitely 199, maybe a little less even.
As my Marine buddies would say "oorah"!:drill:

Ironic, because DH and I found ourselves without any kids last night and decided to have a date night. We treated ourselves to a nice dinner, and although it wasn't a blowout, I was not a good girl!

Hope it stops raining so we can get our tree this afternoon.
Happy unpacking Schnatzarina!
Thinby, you were right about the scale. I'll remember that one for future reference!
Kim, hope you got a great tree and had a wonderful picnic. Congrats on the shopping. Wish I could say the same.
Sleep tight Kara!
We've missed you too weezle!
Keep up the good work Mandy!
Kier hope you are feeling perkier today!
cottage, biscotti day sounds dangerous...
Thanks for sharing your pictures Cat.
Have a great Sunday pearlrose.
Barb, hope you were able to get a good night's sleep. I did, finally, after having a few nights of weirdo dreams... Don't know what that's all about.

Well, we've got to go gather up our assorted kiddies and bring them home. They will both be tired and cranky today, woo-hoo!

12-09-2007, 11:38 AM
Quick fly-by. At Church this morning we learned that there is a huge need for warm clothing for street people RIGHT NOW! I'm digging through closets and trunks to find stuff. So far I've found five wool blankets that I've not used for years so....outta here!

Hersh and I will do our Harry visit late this afternoon AFTER I put up my little tree. It's too darned cold to do outside lights today!

Stay warm and cozy.

12-09-2007, 01:59 PM
Bless you, Ruth, for donating to the street people. I know they will cherish those warm blankets and clothing.

Schmoodle, :carrot::carrot::carrot::broc::broc::carrot::carro t::carrot:
Congratulations!!!!!!! You did it!!!!!! I'm thrilled for you, you've been working so hard for this.

I've been messing around all morning, it's time to get cracking. I have my baking ingredients all lined up on the kitchen counter, coming to room temp, and Jake wants a pot of homemade chicken soup, and I want to try to duplicate a Spinach & Swiss cheese Quiche that I had for lunch earlier in the week. It was outstanding, and I've been hankering for it ever since! If it doesn't turn out the same, I just may go to that cafe where I had it, and talk them into selling me a whole quiche, or at least share their recipe. ;)

12-09-2007, 02:07 PM
AFternoon Girls:
Still in a med induced cloud but functioning. We're getting our Tree today. DH Picked it out and it seems we'll have to cut a hole in the ceiling to accomodate it!! :D I've got 16 bean soup (well the beans) soaking in boiling water its CHILI TIME!!
I'm debating doing a 15 min WATP Dizzy hmmm perhaps I'm being a bit overexuberant!
Cottage Hope you get to see the grandkids!! I was lucky my gram lived with us when I was growing up so Extra hugs were never far away!
Schatzi: hopefully you'll find the office of your dreams :) with an Industrial Strength CAWFEE Pot! I really think coffee pots should come with an IV drip ;)
SCHMOOO!!!! I totally pictured that Marine guy Gunny from the history channel OORAH! And Nice that you had date night!!
Ruth Enjoy your little tree!! And Harry :D

12-09-2007, 02:27 PM
I knew you'd get there, Schmoodle! I'm dancing with you!! :cb::carrot::dance::broc: (How many calories does dancing burn?)

Ruth: Good for you and your donations! You and Hershey stay warm out there!

Schatzi: Sorry you didn't find an office set - I'm sure you will, though! If it weren't already noon, I'd be up for another cuppa joe!

KO: I'm loving doing WATP, but I'm not sure doing it while dizzy is the best idea. Chili sounds ideal as it's starting to get chilly here! :brr:

Cottage: Ooh, a day with grandma would definitely be worth the sniffles, although I'm not sure mom and dad would agree!

Cat: I'm glad yesterday was a great day for you - I'll have to check your link in a bit!

Pearl: Congrats on finishing up that Christmas shopping - two more to buy for on Dec. 9th isn't bad at all. I don't envy you the crowds you're dealing with, though!

Barb: Great job to Brian at the yard sale and the popcorn-selling! You are raising such a good, responsible young man - CONGRATS! I know it's hard these days (especially with all you're going through right now!)

Lisa: We sure do miss seeing you around here - but we also understand that you're busy and having fun! Stay safe on those icy roads!

Kara: How's the potty-training Avery doing today? Hope she and the rest of you are great!

Dawn: I'm dancing for you and your finished Christmas shopping! :carrot: Hooray!

Me: It's been a good morning for me. Jumped on the scale to check my mid-week progress and I'm down 3#'s this morning. I'm sure it's because I've started working out again AND because DH and I are eating a lot better. I'm not changing my ticker until I weigh-in officially on Wed., so I hope it sticks!

I also got a good 4-mile walk in this morning, so exercise is done for the day. All I've got left is a little house-straightening and some baking. So, it should be a pretty leisurely, enjoyable day!

OH! I forgot to mention - DH and I found a great Christmas tree yesterday. We always expect our self-cut trees to be a little "Charlie Brown" and this one is no exception. However, it is just perfect for us, our ornaments all fit, and we had a great time getting it!

Thanks chicks, it sure feels good! I think this is the first time in at least 10 years that my weight has started with a 1. Can't be sure due to scale aversion.

The tree is up and sure looks pretty and smells good. Now it really feels like Christmas.

My stomach is stuffed full of meatloaf and veggies, and all is well with the world.

Hi Chicks
I guess the winter cold germs have finally made there way out west because I have a full blown case of the sniffles and boy am I cranky!
Femme Thank you so much for letting us virtually join you on your trip. It is SO beautiful there and your pictures are gorgeous. I'm glad you had a nice time.
Scmoodle:broc::cheer::woohoo: Congratulations on onederland. I'm glad you weighed one more time before putting that scale up.
Kim Congratulations on the midweek weigh I'm sure it'll stick. Especially with your ramped up excercise.
KO I hope you feel better soon. Here's to good meds.
Cottage Hope Jake feels better soon.
Barb I hope you were able to get some rest. Congrats to Brian on the yard sale success.
Ruth You and Hershey stay warm. I hope you had a nice visit with Harry.
Kara I love your Charlie Brown tree. You have the most adorable family.
Schatzi I'm sorry that office shopping didn't go better. Good luck unpacking.
Pearl Love the online idea. It was crazy out there yesterday and the closer it gets to Christmas the crazier the crowds seem to get.
Lisa Stay warm. We miss you.

Tomorrow is officially the end of Ph1 redo and now I don't want to weigh because I know my sniffles are causing me to retain water. Maybe things will look better after 1/2 bottle of Nyquil and a good nights sleep.

Hey chicks, just doing a test to see if I could link to a photobucket image. Just go about your business. BTW, this is my mvm for when I started 245 lbs. And here's now. Look, she changed her outfit too!
And got a tan!
Her tummy is too flat...

How do you make that girl, Schmoodle? And how do you get your picture to appear in your message instead of as an attachment?

Schmoodle, the only thing about linking to someone's graphics in photobucket is that each time someone views the graphics, it uses up that person's bandwidth allowance some. If they exceed their bandwidth limit, they will not be able to use their account before a certain time period . They are only allowed so much "juice" in a certain time period and once that's used up for that time period, they have no more. You may have seen little "icons" that say "bandwidth exceeded" in some posts...that means that person who owns the graphic has run out of "juice"

Duh, never mind!!... I see the images are in your own account..
