Default friend?

I have a friend who is quite thin (120 and 5'6") and she has decided that she needs to diet she has been depressed for a few years and I was wondering if that had anything to do with her wish to be thinner Thanks

There's no way for us to know. If your friend is suffering from clinical depression, she needs to see a health care provider for a diagnosis and treatment. Losing weight is NOT a cure-all, especially not for long-term mental illness.

You might suggest she focus on getting help for her depression before tackling weight loss, since she is already at a healthy weight for her height.
