Default Just Introducing Myself

Hello Everyone,
I have been lurking on the boards for a few hours so I figured I mind as well say Hello. I am a 29year old single mom who will be turining 30 on Feb 28 and I want to drop 20lb by 30! Of course I have a larger weight loss goal but I figured I would take baby steps! I have been heavey all of my life but I have also been active all of my lofe up until college graduation and an occasional gym membership here and there. I am here because I am at my highest pregnancy weight and my daughter will be 3 in February also , yes all those! I did WW and was successful but always managed to fall off around my 12th to 15th lb. So once again here I am. I don't want to spend money on WW so I figured I would count Cals and pocket the $14 Bucks a week (Actually I plan on putting that away in my daughters account every week as a way to start the college fund ) It looks like i will be starting at 1800 a day and logging intake on FitDay. I welcome any knowledge you all have to share. I will make this another home. Talk to you soon!

It sounds like you have a good plan, I would just add exercise.Diet and exercise together will be a more effective weight loss plan. Good luck!

Yeah I left that part out because that's a stuggle for me right now. I just have to find something I enjoy doing. I have Walk away the pounds and the biggest loser, I just have to do them! I will try 3 days a week and step it from there. Any suggestions?

Camo - I started working out at only 2 days per week and then worked my way up to 5-6 days over a 6 month period. Now I'm obsessed. Great Idea putting your money into a college account for your daughter! Keep coming back to the boards for your inspiration...we all find it here!

How about some weight training? You can pick up inexpensive dumbbells and find exercises online. When my son was little that was really I could manage. I could stop and start again and usually did it during my favorite TV shows.

Welcome home, Camonil!
I started with just walking - like a half an hour every day to start. Later I added weight training and bicycling. You are exactly right that you need to find something you enjoy, try different things and commit to a month to keep it up. Exercise can grow on you if you give it a chance.
