Hi Girls:wave:

I noticed we're going thru the threads very quickly. Do you think we should just let it build up till lets say 5 pages? I noticed the 30's group does that. It seems easier to go back & read the posts instead of getting out reading then going back to the new one. Whatever is easier for you all.

Zoe, good for you. You see, you were stressing over nothing. :)

Jen, not bad. The two of us will be the slow & steady from the group. Like you said, One Day at a Time. ;) I really feel I've screwed up my metabolism. I lose sooooooooo slow now. I've been exercising all along so imagine if I wasn't!!! No biggie.

I'll address the rest of the group later. I'm very hungry.

Hugs,
Es

Terri's post:

I can't get this reply to you all. It won't go to the next page. It just hangs on that gray page that you type on. I asked Jen to submit this. Thanks!

Thanks Jen. I wish it were the Bears and Steelers. I don't know if I will make it through 1 more let alone 2 but I hope I have to try. You did have a great season. Congrats!!!!

Great job Viola on your loss. That is great!

Dianne,
You are so funny. The Steelers have to win 1 more to get into the Superbowl. The Superbowl is in less than 2 weeks. YIKES!!!
Enjoying that loss? Way to go girl.

While you are sick stay as comfortable as you can. I don't change until the last minute during the day.

I am with you Essie. I eat more at home than when I was working. It is much harder here for me.

No snow here this year. Don't know if we ever will get any.
Hope your spring weather comes soon.

Zoe,
Hope your TOM is better. Hate that feeling. You sound like you have the eating under control. Love your din din. MMmmmm~
YAY!!! That is a great loss Zoe. Keep it up. am so proud of you!

Sandy,
I am so glad your son made it back. That is so cute that he IMd after being home. I can't imagine when my first one leaves for school in 3 yrs. :(

Hi JanieD, Myra and Ruth

Gotta go and take a bath!
Luv ya,

Just back from my WI. I stayed the same, which is fine. I really munched a bit that I really didn't write down. Time to get more serious and write everything down before a maintain turns into a gain.

Es, it kills me to realize that when I was in my 30's I could lose 7 pounds the first week, and even the second week. Ever since I hit 45, and had the hysterectomy, it's much more difficult to lose. Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly happy I had the surgery!! Bye Bye Tom....and good riddance :D
I'm with you about letting this get up to 5 pages! It can be a hassle to keep on cutting back to the other thread to see what someone said. How about it, girls? Or we could be different and let it go to 4 pages  Why don't we let this go and see how it works?

Terri, you're so right about eating when at home. I was so anxious to quit my job and be at home after all those years working, that I fantasized about being able to do whatever I wanted.....unfortunately it's translated into EATING whenever I wanted! That is my big challenge right now.

Well girls, am going to learn how to kick some a** tonight! The RAD class is in less than an hour, so I'm going to go. Will check in later and let you know if I'm still alive and kicking!

Jen, thanks for the congrat but to clarify I am only at 29 lb, 1 more to go to get to 30. The problem is that if I loose that 1 lb I will also have to reduce my points

JanieD
179/150/143
I Know 143 sounds like a high goal weight, but I am relatively tall and very big busted. If I loose any more than that I will look really lopsided.

Either we should let the threads go five pages or so or maybe make them weekly or daily threads. Other boards I post on do that. It might be less confusing that way.

It worked. It worked. I couldn't get in earlier.

CONGRATS JanieD. That is a great loss.

Thanks Jen for posting my earlier post.
I will catch up later. Gotta fix dinner.

I'll try again later.

Terri, I'm so glad you made it here. I get very aggravated when that happens to me.

I think the weekly posts sounds good. It is starting to get confusing. It seems more like a hassle with changing over every 15 posts.

Myra, everytime I look at how far you've come it puts a smile on my face. You go girl. :D

Janie, you cracked me up when you said you'll look lopsided:lol: I didn't realize you were so tall. I'm only 5'2". I can understand losing 2 more pts. Geeezzz! I dropped 2 pts. & I panicked!! Like what now!! I'm going to starve.

Jen, does it have something to do with the hysterectomy:?: You know what? I'm not going to let it get to me. As long as we're doing the right thing right?

This week flew by. I'm wishing my life away. It's just I'm so tired of working but I have to. We can't make it on one income.:( I'll have to work for another 15 years. I hate even thinking about it. I played lotto today. I'm always singing the song, If I had a million dollars....I'D BE RICH. I told Pete I would sing it on the office manager's voicemail. I love the commercial.

Hey, you never know!

Love you guys,

Hi Y'all

How are you's guys doing tonigh? I feel pretty good. I had planned on not caring about counting points today, thinking, what the heck, I'll just binge today/tonight and then get back on track tomorrow. My logic was that I could give my weigh loss a little 'push' and be able to loss more in a shorter period of time. Well, I'm happy to say that even though I ate without thinking, I wrote it all down and am under my high points but 1/2!! Now, if I go to bed early, like NOW (7:30pm), I'll be okay.

I am all for whatever y'all decide on the threads. They don't seem to hold as many posts as they used to. It's like they are holding 20 where they used to hold 30 or so. Anyway, no matter to me, just let me know so I don't go starting a new thread when y'all are still here. :)

Janie ~ 1 more pound for a total of 30?? Wow, weigh to go!!! I don't think 143 is a high goal. My goal is 148 (could change that to 150). I look SKINNY at 150! I'm tall too but only 5'7" but 150 is thin on me. You'll do it.

Sandy ~ Glad that your son made it ok.

Myra ~ no loss but no gain. Smile, it's a good thing. :)

Jen ~ ok, losing that .4 is good. Now you're not behind, you're back on track.

Es ~ I think my metabolizm is screwed up too. I'm not losing as fast as I used to, not even as fast as my last "attempt". I don't know what's the deal.

Hi Dianne, Terri, Ruth and Viola. How are you guys??

Have a wonderful Thursday. Talk to y'all tomorrow.

Hi Gals

About the threads, dated for a week at a time sounds like a good plan to me.

I am feeling a lot less stressed today. I took the day off and went the gym and did an extra long work out. Treadmill, bike, and weights too. Then I fussed with my hair and thought I looked pretty good. The only problem is I wore myself out and took a nap this afternoon. I slept from 4pm til 5:45 and then had to scramble to make dinner.

Zoe, good for you a nice loss with TOM on the horizon.

Jen, tell us all about the RAD

Es, I am still really struggling to be on program, for me the worst time is the evening, I don't have good portion control at dinner.

Janie, I love those round numbers on the way down. 30 will be fabulous!

Viola, way to go!! nice loss

Hi Myra, our snow is disappearing, a real January thaw today, 58 degrees.

 Hi Terri, Dianne, Ruth, anyone else out there too!

Have a good evening, hugs all around,
Sandy

I vote for the weekly thread also. Much less confusion. :D

Es,
We'll do this! I've got to stop thinking about it so much and just eat better and start moving. At least you work out, that's great. If I take the time to plan and make appealing meals, the food really isn't an issue; in fact, I eat better when I'm OP. Good luck on that lotto!

Janie,
I don't think 143 is a high goal weight either. In fact, I'm 5'5" and my goal is 150. It's the high end for my range, but seems realistic to me.

Zoe,
Look what you said, you ate without thinking, but still wrote it all down! Those are positive actions, we have to gain more motivation from them.

Sandy,
A day off is just what you needed, sounds like you enjoyed it. The nap is especially decadent, isn't it? That's one thing we shouldn't give up when we grow into adulthood!

Myra,
At least you didn't gain. It's so easy to not write down the little snacks here and there. That's how I fall off the wagon, every time.

The RAD class tonight consisted of showing us punches, blocking, maneuvers and kicks to be used on an attacker's vulnerable points in order to escape. That's the entire purpose of the class....to escape, not to be dragged/abducted to a different location and raped/killed.
We also learned how to break wrist grabs, bear hugs, being choked from behind and defending ourselves if we're on the ground. It was VERY physical....I'm beat!
Next week is the last class; two "attackers" will be there in protective gear and will confront/attack us. We then have to use the skills we've been taught to escape from them. I'm apprehensive about that; we can observe if we don't want to participate. I'll see how I feel when the day comes. The officers said that it's a great opportunity for us to use all our strength to hit/kick these guys, which is something most women have never done. I know I've never hit anyone like that!

I'll be taking some ibuprofen before I go to bed.........

Hi to everyone else

HI folks,
Wally stopped by my office yesterday to tell me that next Thur is his last day  I am really going to need your support. Although I never told him, you guys know that he has been very inspirational regarding my WW journey. Funny thing is that even though many people have commented about my weight loss, he has never said a word about it...maybe he knows anyway. Oh well, I am babbling like a school girl. Enough.

Es,
I hope you do win the lottery. If you do we'll all be doing the happy dance for you!

Zoe,
Congratulations on journaling, even though you weren't being careful. Taht is really the way to success :D

Sandy, Zoe & Jen,
Thanks for telling me that 143 isn't a high goal. WHen I see all these people on other threads who say 130...125... 110 is their goal, I feel like a horse. Of course I am sure these people aren't 5'8" like I am, and their goal range isn't 131-158 either. Still, 143 sounds like a big number to me. I have to keep reminding myself that they are probably only 5' tall.

Have a great Thur everyone,
JanieD

Hello:)

I feel so bad for Terri. She's having a hard time getting in here. She sent me an email to tell everybody she misses us. I wonder why she's having such a hard time:?:
We miss you too Terri!

JanieD, I had a co-worker that I worked with for years then she moved to Arizona. I still miss her. We email eachother all the time.
You know we're here for you. ;)

Jen, do you have the Taebo tapes? I love kickboxing. That's my favorite workout. If you don't have the tapes after taking this maybe you should consider buying them. We should all take these classes. I don't know if they have them here.

I'm so glad the weekend is here. Any plans? Pete's been dying to see the movie Ali. Maybe we'll go Saturday. I want to see A Beautiful Mind. We take turns so this is his turn to choose a movie.

I'll be back tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone:wave:

Oh by the way, I didn't hit the lottery. :(

Happy Friday :D

I'm 5'2" & my goal is 150. Now to some people that may sound high but when I weigh less than that my head looks bigger than my body! It all depends on your bone structure. I really believe this & I read it in one of the Fitness magazines a while back. You could take 2 women that weigh the same & the one that has the toned body you would never think she weighs that much. Soooooooo my point is I don't go by anybody's goal but my own. Then again if I want to look like a lollipop I could go for their range for my height.

Myra, did you weighin yet? I'm suppose to go today but I may go tomorrow instead. I have a lot to do this morning & I don't want to "just weighin" & miss the meeting. I didn't lose anything. I cheated & weighed myself on my scale.

Have a great day everyone.

Just stopping by before I go to school. I'm actually should be doing homework, and here I am in here instead! :D

I'll check out everyone elses post later and reply back to them. I need to be in class in less than two hours and I need to run by the post office first. So, time is short.

Weigh in was last night. I gained .4 lbs. So I guess that is almost a maintain. I came home and walked 4.25 miles on the treadmill. I hope that took care of that!!!

More later,

Hi You's guys ~ Just stopping in before I go to work. I hope I can last the day....I have a fever, 101.2!!! I feel like crap and I just may leave early today. I am having the dept do some file cleam up today and I just can't not show up and expect them to do it alone. So when they feel sorry for me, I'll leave. Ha!

I'll try to be back later, see how I feel.

Have a wonderful Friday ~ ugh!! There is NO WAY the I will be able to do my planned housework and laundry this weekend :(

Hey!! we had a word from Terri  actually, it really stinks for her to not be able to post. She said to say HI to everyone for her. I for one really miss her posts. HI TERRI

Zoe, take care of yourself and rest, get rid of that fever. Women our age are the best employees.....dedicated and responsible :) Hope you don't have to spend too much time at work today. I loved your gif, it's so funny. Stole it ;)

Es, I'm 5'5" and my goal is 150. You're absolutely right about going by your own goal, no one else's. Quite frankly, losing this amount of weight and KEEPING IT OFF is going to be a life long project. No way am I going to set myself up for a low goal weight and not be happy with it. Besides, I haven't seen 150 since I was 19; I'd be more than happy to be there! As far as the taebo tapes, I know we've talked before about them, but I've never tried them. I have enjoyed what we've done in the RAD class, however, (punches and kicks) so I think I'll see if they have them at the library and try them. Loved your gif too!

Ruth, I'd guess you just about walked off that .4 :) You're bound to have a loss next.

Joe had a checkup with his cardiologist yesterday (1 yr. anniversary of his heart attack). He has to have an angiogram as a follow up. The dr. said it's routine, but I was upset at the news. We were never told he'd have to have the procedure again, and it's fairly risky. Combine that with me being the world's worst worrier, not a pretty sight. I've got to be strong for Joe, I know, so I'll vent here and keep my mouth shut when he's around. Thanks, you guys.

What's everyone doing this weekend? Zoe, you're nursing your fever, right? We're being promised temperatures in the lower 60's! I know I'm going to walk every day. Oh, and clean and do homework of course.....such an exciting life!

luv,
~Jen

Buddys,
Well I guess you all set me streight about my goal. I'll just shut up now:blush: Thanks for the support guys, your the best!

This weekend sounds like everyone is going to be home cleaning (or watching football, Terri). I finally convinced Steve we need a housekeeper. Now I have to get the house picked up so that she can actually clean. Our house is so full of clutter.

Zoe, Please don't push yourself too much while being sick. You'll only make yourself worse and take longer to recover.

HOpe everyone has a great Friday,

Hi guys

First, congrats too all you losers (too many to name, lol) - never thought I say that, its wonderful so many posting losses;) My weigh-in is tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I lost something since I'm still sick and haven't had a great appetite. Don't hate me, but I have to struggle to get in my points and not be under:devil: I said "DON'T hate me"!!!!!!!! I had to go back to the Dr. for an x-ray to make sure I don't have pneumonia, I don't but the bronchitis is still there. So, I have more meds, including albuterol to open up my bronchial tubes and to get this dry cough moving. I haven't been to work since last Thursday - wonder if I still have a job!

Essie - too funny - that's my favorite song too - If I had a million dollars - I even like to sing it with the southern accent:lol:

Jen - sounds like you are kicking butt, girl. That class sounds really valuable, I mean God forbid you ever have to use what you've learned, but you never know.

Terri - what's wrong? why can't you get in??? Miss you.

Zoe - sorry to hear you are sick, take care of yourself. Don't do what I did and go to work with fever, etc. and then get worse. Hope you feel better soon.

Ruth - sounds like you have a busy schedule girl. Take some time for yourself whenever you can.

Hi Janie, Myra, Viola (did I miss anyone - if so, SORRY!). Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Terri, what's up with not being able to post? Is it your end or the site:?: I'll email you. I miss you already!

Dianne, I sing the song with the accent too. Just try and picture a Puerto Rican with a southern accent!!!!! Even Susie's ears go up & looks at me funny. I don't ever remember having to struggle to eat at the low end of my points. Take care of that cold.

Zoe, you shouldn't have gone in to work!!!!:nono: I understand you felt that you had to be there but like Dianne said by pushing yourself it could get worse. Please relax this weekend. We missed you too much & we want you well enough to be able to post.;)

Janie, can I borrow your housekeeper! Kidding. I have a small place so it doesn't take to much time to clean. Pete's a pretty neat guy so that helps a lot. How's your elbow?

Jen, I weighed 144 lbs. 10 yrs ago. I stayed 150-155 for a long time. In 1998, when I hurt my shoulder weight lifting, I was in a lot of pain & taking meds to relieve it. I had more x-rays taken & a MRI & found out I had torn ligaments & had to have surgery. I couldn't do much for quite some time. I've been having such a hard time ever since. After that I lost all motivation. Sorry to hear Joe has to have that procedure done again. Be strong Buddy & have faith that everything will be alright.

Ruth, .4 is a tiny gain. Like Jen said, you already walked it off.

Be back later.

Love,
Es

Janie,
I've been posting here for quite a while, and I believe this is the first time that any of us have discussed our goal weights. Not to worry, we weren't giving you a hard time!

Dianne,
I'm so sorry you're still ill :( Hope that new med. works and you begin to feel better. You really know you're sick when you have no appetite, at least I do! Take care of yourself. And thanks for the reassurance about Joe. :)

Hi everybody, hope you are having a good Friday.

ZOE, sorry to hear that your ill. Take care of yourself!! I'm one of those people that if Im feeling bad, I'll go to work and make them send me home! Unless it is a stomach virus, then nothing will get me to leave the house. I just hate calling in, I think they won't believe me if I say I'm sick, so I go in to prove it!!

JEN, I hope everything is okay with Joe. My dad had a heart attack 2 years ago, I can't remember if he had to have any other test run or not. I know they cleaned out the arteries in his neck afterward, but I don't remember how long it was after his by pass surgery.

Jen, if you like the kicks and punching moves you learned in your RAD classes, you will probably really love Taebo. I have the tape, it is laying on the vcr, as if that will do me anygood!!

TERRI, wherever you are, we miss you!!!

ES, you are so funny, southern Puerto Rican accent!!

Well ladies, I had my first annual check up yesterday. I've decided since I'm over forty, I should start having them. Since I have a family history of heart disease they did an EKG that was normal and ofcourse they drew blood for the typical bloodwork. I asked for a bone density test. I thougth it might be good to see where I'm at now so that if there are any major changes we'd no about it. I've also been having a lot of nausea, actually for the last few years. My doctor things it could be gall stones, so I'm going next week to have an ultra sound for that.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Oooh, this is so hard for Terri......testing testing. Hope you're back with us soon.

Ruth, just had my second bone density test (dexa-scan) last week. My first was Jan. of 2001; since I've had the hysterectomy, my dr. said they have to monitor it for the first two years. Last week's results were good.....no change in the last year. When I had the first one, I was told by my dr. that I had some thinning in the left hip, that I should walk for 20 to 30 minutes at least 3 times a week.

It's been a really nice, quiet Friday evening......we did order a pizza, I was ready to make shrimp stir-fry and Joe decided he wanted pizza  I know I'm over points for today. :( will make it up tomorrow by eating light.

BTW, I had 3 slices of pizza last night, but I had only had 4 points up to that time, so, I shouldn't have went over by very much, then there was that 4 mile walk, so I hope I'm okay.

HI gals,
I don't know why but lately I have been waking up really early ~4:30 and not being able to get back to sleep. Then of course by 8:30pm I am ready to go to sleep. I feel like a baby that has it's days and nights mixed up.

We are having cold rainy weather again (of course it's the weekend). It is cold enough this time that there's supposed to be snow in the local hills. Ellen feels so deprived that she has never seen snow falling from the sky. SHe has played in the snow when we have driven to it, but she wants us to drive somewhere while it is still snowing. She doesn't seem to understand that driving in the snow is one of the main reasons I moved to CA. I have only had 2 serious car accidents and both were in snowy/icy conditions. I know it is really pretty, but if I never saw snow again I would be ok with that.

Today is: work out at the club, and then I am going to a jewelry party at a friends house. I usually dont like those house party, selling things, but I really love jewelry, especially unusual styles. I'll give her a chance.

HAve a wonderful Sat.

Good morning my buds:wave:

Went to weigh in today, lost 3.0 lbs. Not all that surprised since I haven't been eating much, but I'll take it anyway:D Better news then that is I'm feeling much better. I guess that new meds to open my bronchial tubes has done me some good. I'm still coughing but not as much and don't feel like a 90 year old woman, maybe just 70:lol:

Jen - awwwww, thanks for the beautiful flowers, loved them;) Don't worry about the pizza, you'll just make up for it during the weekend and next week. Like I say "life gets in the way" sometimes:s: I'm really gonna have to work on my program this coming week since I'm starting to feel better, I know my appetite will return. Last night willie brought home one of my favorite cakes (besides chocolate), pineapple cheese cake. I was like "what are you, nuts?" He said, but the dr. said you shouldn't be dieting while you're sick". I was like, yeah, but she didn't mean fatten yourself up with cheesecake:o Well, he meant well, and luckily since I didn't have much of an appetite, I didn't have any. Of course now the box will sit in the fridge all week.

Es - I don't have to picture a puerto rican doing a southern accent since all I have to do is look in the mirror - well, half of me anyway:lol: The other half is Irish - some combination, huh?

Ruth - sounds like you're doing lots of exercise, good for you. I've always loved walking. Hopefully, by next week, I'll be ready to walk in the park again, if its not too cold.

Zoe - Feeling any better? Hope so, take care of you.

Janie - I can understand how Ellen feels about the snow, most kids love it. I do too, to tell you the truth, but mostly when it first falls. Once it becomes a slushy mess, I'm not too crazy about it anymore and want it to disappear immediately:D

Terri - Come out, come out wherever you are! I'm sorry you're having trouble getting in. Are you able to read the messages, but not post? E-mail me girl!

Hi to Myra, and Viola - hope you guys are doing well.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Dianne, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Cheesecake is my favorite! I stopped eating it a long time ago because it's so high in fat. Someone brought one in to work & I said I would love to have a piece but I can't because of my high cholesterol. I couldn't believe the comment from this woman!! She said, "and that's going to stop you", well, duh!
I'm getting really good at ignoring people. You have to with the dumb things they say.

Myra, how are you? Got rid of those munchies? I blew it today but what else is new:rolleyes:

I had asked Terri, since she's having such a hard time posting here would she like for us to post somewhere else till she gets this problem resolved. Maybe on the WW site? We could post on both or is that too much trouble? Let me know. If not we can email her. I miss you Terri:wave:

Janie, Mon. - Thursday, I'm up at 3:45 a.m. I do everything in the morning. I cook, straighten up, finish watching the soaps from the day before then I leave at 7:30 for work. I go to sleep around 8:30-9:00. When I'm getting up Pete's walking in from work. His shift will be changing again soon. I've been getting up early for years my body has adjusted to it.

Ruth & Jen, you both had pizza. Yum!!!! I had chinese today, chicken & broccoli with white rice. Haven't counted one point since Thursday. Don't ask why cause I don't even know.

Have a goodnight everybody.

This is how I feel today.....

Dianne,
What a way to lose 3 lbs.! Sorry it's due to illness, but good loss just the same :) Awww, Willie meant well with the cheesecake...be strong!

Janie,
I don't blame you for not missing the snow. Having lived here in Chicagoland all my life, I can't imagine winter without the hassles of snow. This year has been incredible, I believe total snowfall all winter has been under 6 inches. Usually we've had 40 inches by now! Thank you for the prayers for Joe, it means a lot to me. Did you find anything good at the jewelry party?

Essie,
I'd be willing to post on another site if Terri can access it. Don't people just tick you off sometimes? And why is it always the ignorant ones who have to open their mouths?

Zoe,
I'm hoping you're nursing that fever.....under a cozy comforter, with jammies on! Get well soon.

Terri,
We miss you!

Spent the morning cleaning, the afternoon doing homework. It was a beautiful sunny day in the 50's, took a walk this afternoon.

Hi to Ruth, Sandy (how's everything going?), Myra, Viola

Hey y'all, just checking in for a minute. Friday, my fever was 104!! I called the doctor and he was on vacation last week so Greg took me to the emergency room. They did blood work to be sure that it was viral and not bacterial and a chest X-ray. As it turns out, I have bronchitus and not pneumonia and by the time I left there, my fever was 99 or so. It's been up and down but no where NEAR 104. It's 101 this morning. I am taking anitbiotics and feel like crap. I didn't eat ANYTHING yesterday, I just didn't want anything. (I wonder if I'll lose some extra pounds this week???? :)...)

I will read all the posts later or tomorrow. Thank you all for your well wishes. I miss you's guys.

Love,
Me

OMG Zoe - Did I give you that bronchitis thru cyperspace???:( I know what you're going thru girl. You must take it easy whether you like it or not. I don't know if you have that "weak" feeling I had but that really sucks. Take care of yourself and don't overdue, or it just won't go away. DON'T GO TO WORK!!! I did that and wound up being out for almost 2 weeks. I'm still home and not expecting to go back until this Tuesday. I hope you get better soon.

Jen - yeah, it was a crummy way to lose the weight, but I'll still take it:lol: How is Joe doing - did he already have the procedure? Thinking of you guys.

Es - its a good skill to learn - how to ignore ignorant people - hey, look ignore is even a part of the work ignor-ant;) There will always be people who say dumb things. I;m fine with posting on another site, so we can talk to terri again, just tell me where to go. Since you said you haven't been counting points since Thursday, why don't you just start over tomorrow? Monday's always been a "fresh start" day for me, don't know why, guess cause its the "beginning" of the week. This is the good thing about the program, when you get off track, its not the end of the world. We've all been through that and will continue to go through it. But we can always start over. So, don't beat yourself up okay? You'll be fine.

Myra - thanks for the congrats on the 3 lbs loss and I'm feeling much better thanks for asking. How are you doing?

Hi to Terri (miss you), ruth, janie, sandy and viola. Have a good Sunday everyone.

Hugs,
Dianne

Hi Gals:wave:

I have been so busy, that I have just been reading all the notes and not posting. I drove down to visit my mom today, she got her stitches out and is healing well. The rehab is about an hour from me. She also has a really good attitude and I think that can only help. We will find out some time this week about the date for her next surgery. I have the same blood type, so sometime soon I will help by donating a pint or so for her next one.

Zoe, are we going to have to keep you from playing with Dianne?
:?: Both of you please get well soon.

I stayed the same weight this week and then blew it rather royally today. With all my rushing around, I didn't take time for lunch and then ate a bag of fruit and nut trail mix instead. That stuff is high in POINTS. I don't even want to know my total today.

I miss seeing Terri's posts, I hope we can all keep in touch with her. Let me know how.
Essie, It is a good skill to learn to ignore those insensitive types, I am still working on it. I have had my own encounters with a bunch lately.

Hi to Janie, Ruth, Myra, Viola. I sure am glad I joined this bunch!!
Luvya,
Sandy

Dianne, Amen to that! I've always loved a fresh start! Gee, the first thing I thought of when I read that poor Zoe had bronchitis was that you had it also. I hope you're feeling better. :)

Zoe, Feel better soon! The flowers are for you. :D

Terri, sorry about the Steelers' loss. There were some calls there that should have gone their way. I'm rooting for St. Louis in the Super Bowl.

Had a great day today; it hit 60! Watched some movies, took a long walk with Joe, played some basketball (lol....yes ME!). Won the first game of "horse" this season lol.....on program all day. :) Have you seen "Pay It Forward" ? I really liked it. have the kleenex ready.

Hope everyone's good. HI to all

Zoe & Dianne, You guys take care of yourselves. I want you guys back in the saddle ASAP. Congrats to Dianne for the 3 lb loss. I will probably not show a loss this week 'cause TOM just stopped by for a visit.

Terri, ANy idea what is wrong? Is it your ISP, your system, or what? We miss you girl, you are our inspirational leader.

Everyone,
I went to the jewelry party on Sat. I spent a lot of money, bought myself and Ellen some valentine's day presents. Oh well I guess I can always justify buying jewelry

Have a great Mon. We are having very cold weather here. It is raining in Livermore but in some of the higher elevations they are having SNOW. Petaluma schools were closed... the first time in 30 years.

Hugs,

JanieD

Janie, can't believe you are having snow. We are in a heat wave. It's been in the 50s-60s here in NY state for the past two days. Truly weird weather for this part of the country, if you remember.

Hi guys:wave:

Thanks to all for the get well wishes. I'm feeling much better and will return to work tomorrow.

Zoe - I hope you are feeling better to. I know it takes time,so take care of you.

Thanks Janie for the congrats on the 3 lbs. I did really well today too, I banked 5 pts. today, which is cool. I know once my appetite comes back, it will be more difficult, but hey, that's life. I'm not gonna sweat it.

Sandy - Glad to hear your mom is recuperating and has such a great attitude. She's really lucky to have you to help her and I'm sure she appreciates that. You both are in my thoughts.

Jen - sounds like you had a great day, playing basketball - too coolllllllllllll! ::cool: Basketball is a favorite sport of mine - that and baseball. Never could get into football. I just don't understand it. They seem to knock each other down 2 seconds after the ball goes into play:lol: Maybe some day, I'll watch a whole game and see if I can make heads or tails of it:s:

Es - how are you girl? Things getting any better with work? Don't stress yourself out okay?

I heard from Terri today - she says to tell all of you, "thanks for the miss you's" and she's still trying to get in. Poor thing.

Hi Myra, Ruth, and Viola - hope you'r e doing well.

Hugs,
Dianne
