WW Clubs and Groups - Wednesday - Hump Day!View Full Version : Wednesday - Hump Day! JKarr 01-23-2002, 09:45 AM Just getting the thread started... I'll be back in a few to chat! Everyone come out and play - it has been kinda quiet around here!! Grace, Grace 01-23-2002, 10:42 AM Hey Girls this is my first post of the wk. I had Monday off and I had a crazyyyyyy day yesterday. I am so excited I get to leave a bit early today b/c I am finally getting my hair cut. I am sooooo overdue. I missed my last appt around Christmas tme b/c I completely forgot about it. I have really curly hair so you can usually stretch the time out b/w appts but I am in dire need of a good trimming. Anyways, I amaze myself with my ability to babble :D Well I officially went back to WW last wk and I did put on a few pds YIKES. Try 5 of the pds I'd lost :o But I was still less than last time I was at WWer's . I WI again on Sat. am so we will see. I really haven't been following pts this wk either. Today will be the first day I actually have the desire to try. I think the weight gain depressed me a bit. I did become a bit inspired last night by the In Style Celebrity Weddings special. They all looked amazing and I figure "IF" I get married in the next year or so I have some weight to lose. I am not engaged though so no one get excited I guess I am just wishful thinking. I have to get to work but Hi to all and Ali tell us about that date. Horsey Girl~ YAY for virgin fat territory. Oh what a feeling:smug: Hi to everyone else and I will check in later ! Becky StaceyT 01-23-2002, 11:05 AM Hi! I'm here but trying to act busy. Everytime my boss walks by she looks at my screen, so I'd better get going! I'll be around later! Jen-L 01-23-2002, 11:08 AM Wow, it sure is quiet here!!! I signed up for e-tools this morning because I had a coupon. So far it is nice. I can journal and track my points and I can use it here at work or at home. I like that. Plus lots of recipes!!! I am going to the gym today. I haven't been there in almost 2 weeks, tho I did walk the treadmill while I was gone. JKarr 01-23-2002, 11:24 AM It is so quiet around here!! Where is everyone? Becky - I watched the Celebrity Wedding special as well! A bit depressing, since it is nearly impossible to look as perfect as most of them did. :( Hi Stacey - Keep looking busy! Hope you got some good deals at Kohls yesterday! Jen- It is so hard to get to the gym after being gone for more than a few days. I just always try to tell myself how great I feel when I am done. One of my resolutions for this year is to not skip more than 2 days between work-outs - that way I never give myself a chance to get used to not working out. Of course, that is much easier said than done, especially when life gets crazy and there is literally no time. But I try! I had another possible subleaser check out my apartment last night. She is going to let me know later today if she wants it. I live in a prime location, so it shouldn't be hard to sublet, but I am still nervous since I so badly want to move into this other place! Keep your fingers crossed for me! Is anyone watching the new Real World in Chicago? If so, they are about 4 miles from where I live! So a lot of the activities that they are doing are things I do all the time! They were lifeguards on the beach that I hang out at and jog at, and last night went to a block party that I had been at this past summer! It's pretty cool to watch it and see all of the things in my neighborhood. Have a good day! Hi to all still to post! Jen-L 01-23-2002, 11:36 AM Jen, I am watching RW. I am an addict to it and I am not sure why. I think it is cool that you can relate to it. I was also thrilled that they finally hit the midwest. I was wondering why it took them so long to do one in Chicago. Another good place in the Midwest is Minneapolis/St. Paul! Or Milwaukee... I used to live there!!! KO 01-23-2002, 11:58 AM Trish!!!! Alex is Beautiful! Lolly definitely!!! we'll do dinner or drinks :s: SChool is busy as anything I'm just organizing a trip in febuary in the southern part of ireland and i just found out that The arts ball is feb 5th so i have to buy a ball skirt! and bring my collection of them to 3 OOOH and! On my big scary paper I lamented so much over I got a 2.1 for us american types thats like a B+/A I thought i failed *HAPPYDANCE* THe WW meeting i found on the computer that has a time i can actually get too is in waaaaay too knackery a place for me to go alone So I'm goign to wing it for a while and consider buying the at home program or just wait till i get home to go to traditional meetings and weigh in with the docs in the health centre so that i still have the feeling of doom to look forward too :) Tonnight im going to be a good girl and study for english tommorrow nights 3 episodes of buffy that i can't miss ohh my god ok granted college profs are supposed to be a little out there right? well last night we had a movie screening for class a bad version of canterbury tales done in italian (originally done in english badly dubbed in italian and subtitled in english) and we were warned that it was a bit racy but MY GOD it was porn! well not literally but close enough! im not a puritan but it was definitely not expected and at oen point you see a giant arse (satans) Farting Friars exbf and i are talking more which im v pleased about Im a lifetime tv cliche I'm still in love with him god help me so no predictions but we'll see what happens I'll bbiab Hugs Kier kimobi 01-23-2002, 12:05 PM Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA for about a week. I don't know if anyone heard about the law school shooting in Grundy, Va., last week. Three people, including the dean, were killed. I went down there for a few days to help cover it for my newspaper, so I wasn't near the Internet too much. I was off Monday, and yesterday I was just swamped. So how is everyone? I read quickly through the posts from the past few days. Welcome, new people. Trish: Alex is a cutie! And congrats to everyone with losses! Needless to say, when I was out of town I didn't eat very well, and Grundy, which is in the coalfields of Southwest Virginia, didn't have the best eating choices. A Huddle House, a Wendy's and a few pizza places, basically! On the way back we found a seafood place, and I was proud of myself for getting a broiled dish, not fried! My weight seems to be stuck, though, regardless of anything I do. Granted, I haven't done well on the weekends, but during the week, I've been very good. Still, no change. Any suggestions? It may be that I just need more exercise. Well, hungy tummy calls. StaceyT 01-23-2002, 12:06 PM About the RW...I started watching it but didn't see it last night. I quit watching after Boston. The people were just too immature for me...well, Seattle was OK but that's it. JenK: Yup, I tried on a few clothes but didn't find anything that screamed buy me! Well, I did, but they weren't on clearance. But, I bought a Sonoma purse regularly $60 for $7.50!! and two picture frames!! My gift card was for $25 and I spent $26.48 Perfect!!! Where is everyone today? JenL: I have etools and I really like it!! Better get back to work! RhubarbJelly 01-23-2002, 12:46 PM Hey girls :) How is everyone today? I think I am fighting a cold or infection because my glans are really really swollen this morning and my throat is sore! :( I am drinking OJ by the truckload! I know its empty points but I find it helps so much. I had the best sleep last night that I've had in ages! Yay me! We changed our bedroom around yesterday b/c this sleep book I read said that we all sleep better if we sleep with our heads to the north & our feet to the south. Unfortunately we can't put our bed on the north wall b/c our doorway & closet are there so we're sleeping withour heads to the south & feet to the north. I don't know if it will work but why not try it. I ended up sleeping for 11 hours!!!! I don't know when the last time I've done that is! Crazy! For the beginning of the day I did ok pointwise but then we ended up going out for supper & I couldn't resist the tortellini with four cheese sauce! Plus they have some really awesome foccaccia on the table that is impossible to resist too! I definitely ended up over my points limit. Do you guys find it really hard to stay OP at a restaurant? One of my problems is that half of the time we go out for supper its a sponataneous thing that I can't plan for. I need to learn better self-control I guess. Hi Becky! Great to see you back! Sorry to hear about the gain. You'll get it back though :) JenK, good luck with subletting :) Maybe you should try to end up in the background if you ever see RW out taping anywhere! That would be cool! JenL, if there are any great recipes be sure to pass them on to us :) Kier, hope that everything works out for the best with you & the ex. Porn Canterbury tales!! The whole idea is hilarious! Hey Kim, glad you're back! Hope your scale starts moving soon. Don't get too frustrated Stacey, your pusre is a heck of a bargain! I need you to come shopping with me! I never come across deals like that! Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all having a great OP day! -Rina StaceyT 01-23-2002, 03:41 PM Wow! We are quiet today! Of course, I get a few minutes to post, boss goes down the hall and inevitably, the phone rings and boss returns while I'm talking! Go figure! Bye again for now................ PS Hi Rina!! Do they have Kohl's in Canada? JessIsOK 01-23-2002, 05:11 PM Hi everyone!! What a stressful past couple of days it's been for me! My program just froze so I decided it was a sign that I should post here. sorry I didn't blabber yesterday, it was unbelievably hectic. Yesterday was also my weigh-in. I was a little disappointed to find that I only lost .8. It's good that I lost, but it's also a little disappointing compared to last week's great big loss. I was so upset about it, I decided to go home and make the box of Velveeta shells and cheese that's been sitting in my cupboard for a couple weeks. I ate the whole darn thing. It felt good. At least I got that out of my system, I can go back to being within my points range comfortably. So, not much as been going on... I'm still sort of struggling with points. I think my biggest problem is that I don't know what to make for dinner that's low in points. My suppers are always at least 12 points. I do OK during the day--usually oatmeal in the morning (3 pts), a Smart Ones for lunch (usually around 6 pts), and a fruit for a snack (1 pt), so I use less than half my points. I think the thing that always kills me is that I have my two servings of milk for dinner (I absolutely love milk and that's my nightly luxury). I think that I might have to give that up and do it a different way. It's only the beginning of my third week, so I have a lot to learn, I'd guess. Well, bakc to work. I promised 5 big files for tomorrow morning and only have another hour and a half or so to finish it all. Wish me luck!! Jess vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
