I was wondering who do I talk to first, the DR who will do it, or my insurance company?
Also I was curious how much you eat per meal (like measurement wise) when you're eating the way you will be for good. (Not just after surgery.)
I would say talk to the insurance company first. Find out what they do cover and if they do cover you, what locations can you go to. I live in Ohio, work for a company out of Pittsburgh and my insurance company requires me to go to the Bariatrix Clinic in Michigan!! So you need to find out things like that. As for the food, I am still learning that and have no insite there. It is a very good question and I will be lingering to see the answers for that.
YEARS later, meals look like small-normal size. i still have trouble getting in three ounces of protein at any given time, plus veggies plus carbs. but the biggest problem is that now it's REAL easy to snack - at the beginning, and for the first 3 years [at least for me!] snacking really didn't cross my mind. but NOW. good grief.
sooo, it looks pretty much like just about any other person's eating plan, just smaller.
