Default Snack ideas

OK, so I have a Girl Scout lock-in tomorrow night. I know there will be cookies, chips, cheese dip, etc there. I am going to take a veggie tray as my troop's contribution (I'm thinking with all those other choices, there should be plenty of the veggies to last most of the night. lol) but I was also going to take something else in my bag for me, so if I get hungry I can snack safely and not blow my calories. Any ideas of what is good and doesn't need to be refrigerated? Something filling and easy to carry. Something new and not the same old, same old? I need something that will be good enough to bypass all the junk, which I am sure will be calling me.

The Fiber One Oat and Chocolate bars are only 2 points, and very filling! Plus you would still be eating some chocolate, so maybe you wouldn't be wanting to dip into the other chocolatey stuff there. Fruit could be a possibility as well. It is certainly the time of year for yummy yummy apples.

Cheese sticks or cubes for a protein lift.
Maybe a platter of deviled eggs.
Some hummus to dip the veggies in.
If you think the chocolate will bother you (and it would me), maybe a NSA chocolate pudding cup or a square of dark chocolate.

There are some Sweet N' Salty Bars that have quite a few nuts and are covered in chocolate that are only 220 calories I think. But they are very filling. And I agree with the above post. The Fiber One bars ROCK.

Also, I took a veggie tray to a party recently and used the Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix with FF sour cream and NOBODY noticed.

Have fun!

How about nuts and/or a nut-heavy trailmix. I know nuts are strictly low-cal but they have a lot of bang for the buck and leave me feeling full & satisfied...
