Default Boy! Did the florist make a mistake!

A neighbor's grandmother died. One of her friends sent some flowers. When she got them she called the friend. The flowers had clowns and colorful ribbons and balloons. I think the funny thing is what happened to her flowers. Somebody didn't get their birthday flowers and balloons. Instead they got something that read "with deepest sympathy".

How awful!

When sister Amy had her weight loss surgery and we sent her flowers, the florist tied candy bars to sticks and inserted them all throughout the arrangement Jennifer called them and gave them an earful

Or made a mistake.

Stories like this make my partner (floral designer) cringe.

Or, actually, from the outside looking in, of course, the person in mourning could have really appreciated that bright, cheery arrangement to boost his/her spirits, whereas, depending on the year of the birthday (such as the big 4-0), the birthday boy/girl may have well been in mourning! What an embarassing mistake for the florist, but kind of ironic, just the same!
