RememberHowToSmile - What is a diet cupcake? And how are the Michelina meals (are they healthy and yummy compared to lean cuisine)?

Cookie - I haven't tried the Michelina meals yet, my sister said they aren't bad so I though I would give them a try. They are normally 10 for 10 at the store so if they taste good they are a good way to save money because I'm a poor students. I'll let you know.

Also my diet cupcakes are simple the reduced sugar cake mix from pillbury and replace all of the other ingredients with diet pop, (diet sprit with yellow cake and diet coke with chocolate). So the cake is only from the cake which is 160 calories for 1/12 of the mix, but when you make cupcakes you actually make 24 rather then 12 so for each cupcake it ends up being 80 calories and 3.5 grams of fat. Not bad when you are stressed and desire a cupcake. Everyone that tried them loves them.

Ok so here is my report about the lean gourmet.

First, the packaging is minimal (I'm assuming to save on cost lets remember they only cost a dollar), so you couldn't eat it out of the packing definently have to put it on another plate.

Second, on first look of the actual product, it doesnt have lots of veggies (I didn't expect it to and even with my lean cuisines I add veggies), but a sizable amount of pasta and sauce, not much chicken.

So I added my californa blend veggies to the bottom of my bowl and dumped the meal on top and mixed. (Plenty of sauce to go around). When I tasted it I thought it was bland. I added a little bit of pepper, a little bit of italian seasoning and then some galic powder.

After my doctoring I would say it was pretty good. I will probable buy it again, the cost makes me not mind having to doctor it up a bit. Plus it has a $1 of 5 coupon on the package so when next time it will be 80 cents.

I have two more in my fridge a pizza one and a beef stragonoff (sp?) so I will let you know how they are.
