I forgot to post this story yesterday.

I started to change my eating yesterday and decided to go 1500-1700 calories and get rid of the whites so to speak (white bread cookies, cakes etc...)
The following is absolutely true....

I go to work and within an hour there is a knock on my door.
"Hey Darlene here is a piece of birthday cake for Steve's birthday!" I took the plate broke the cake with the fork...thought about it and then tossed it.

About 11 I go to my Boss's office. He has a plate a of homemade cookies and is filling his candy dispenser with Peanut M and Ms. "come in Darlene...sit down...have a cookie!....I said "no I am trying to stay away from them."

I sit down for lunch at 12. Ron sees the other teacher and I eating he says..."hey wait I got something for you....homemade beer bread...first time I ever made it. Please try it and let me know." I took a bite and then said "Thanks....but I am not sure it is my style of bread." The teacher was whooping and hollering over it so he was happy and I did not have to hurt his feeling.

I go to the teachers lounge and today is German's class Oktoberfest! LOL...there was all this homemade German food.....It looked great but I did not touch a crumb.

After work there was a meeting. One of the teachers brought in a huge tray of cookies and there was the principal again with the darn chocolate cookies. I did break and have one quarter size sugar cookie. It was stale....LOL

What a day! All things considered I did pretty well...it was like a food obstacle course!

All that and just a bite of bread and a quarter size cookie.

"You had me at Peanut M&Ms..." HAHAHA!

Seriously, that is ALOT to resist!! Kudos to you. I am not sure I would have even made it to Oktoberfest...especially if the cake had been chocolate. ;);)

...OR...maybe I *would* have! In any event, I am glad that you made it through all that. That is one tough day in anyone's book!
