Our office had a big "grand opening" Open House yesterday and I had to arrange all the food, for about 40 people. It was in the afternoon, so they just wanted treats, coffee and fruit
well, i ordered in bulk and then cut the stuff up and put it out on trays - it looked very nice i must say ;) We had brownies, nanaimo bars, tarts, spice cake, and an assortment of veggies and fruit
However, food for 40 when only SEVEN show up ahhahahahah
Needless to say we have a leftover crisis!! I'M VERY HAPPY TO REPORT THAT I ONLY HAD VEG & FRUIT and I didn't die! hahah It was a momentary "uggggghhhhhhhhh" and now it's over and i didn't do it!!! yay!!!!
I kept the veggies & fruit and plated up all the squares on individual plates for everyone ELSE to take home -- I'll "appear" thinner as they get fatter! hahahahhah
a NSV for sure - the old me would have been "one for the tray, one for me....2 for the tray...one for me" LOL :carrot::carrot:

By george, I think she's got it!!!!!! That's the way to do it!!! SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!! I just can't think of enough praise to throw your way. I am so proud of you! MAJOR NSV. We're talking MAJOR. And that NON scale victory, will definitely turn into a SCALE victory. That's what it's all about.

Oh, yes, I agree with Robin. This is MAJOR. Heck, I've lost what I have and I STILL have "one for the tray, one for me" moments...more often than I'd like for sure!

it's Canadian, eh??? It got it's name from the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia.
It consists of a crumb-based layer, chocolatey and coconutty usually, topped by a THICK layer of vanilla butter icing, which is covered in soft chocolate
