Happy Monday
Boy was it a beautiful weekend. We opened some windows but later had to close them as it warmed up. Fall is coming. Plus the CATS won and now are ranked 8th! :woohoo:
Toni, what kind of marinade did you you. I have a pork roast in the freezer and was wondering what to use. I used to do Sparks alot. Maybe I need to get back on there.
Country, boy glad to hear you were just busy, I was beginning to worry about you. Hang in there. You are better off than me, my scale is moving, but in the wrong direction.
Thin, what beautiful kids. You sure can tell they are brother and sister.
Bob, How about those CATS!!! #8
Monet, that kiln is sure keeping you busy. Of well, you know what they say about busy hands. OK Monet, my goal for Oct is to lose 10 lbs. Now I know that is a lot and I don't lose quickly, but 5 of it will be gone in a day or two so 5 is real fat to lose. Also to stay on plan. Which goes hand in had with losing 10 lbs.
Have a great day. Got to run.

Hello everyone! I unloaded yesterdays glaze kiln, and I got two STUNNING pieces of porcelain. I am SO excited! I need to make more. :) There were about four other pieces that were ok, and a dozen mugs that are already spoken for. I have another load I need to glaze and fire, and stuff drying.
My goal for October is: Exercise at least five times a week, and stay on plan. If I lose, great! If not, at least I will be better off for the exercise and eating right!
SOLLY: You can do it! :cheer:

My goal is to have my fridge at work stuffed with health food!
Opening day was GREAT! I had five customers. Doesn't sound like a lot, but one guy isn't even from here, he was driving through town and saw my barber pole spinning and stopped in for a trim! That pole is SO worth it.

Oh boy I love a new month. Always feels like a new start. My goal this month is to walk 4 days a week at least on my treadmill. And to keep working on doing better on the week end. Went shopping today and was gone most the day. I was pleased when my friend stopped at Captain D's and I could eat legal. I had broiled Tilipa, a green salad and green beans. It was just enough food.
Tech-Woopie on the opening of your shop. I'm so excited for you.
Monet- What were the pieces you did that turned out so well? Bowls? Vases?
Solly- You can do it.. Oh I wish I could lose 10 lbs this month.
Better run. I'm pooped and need to rest...

Hey ya'll. I had a food breakdown this weekend but I am back on track for the most part. There are some huge issues going on in my life right now and I did what any good emotional eater does I ate...it wasn't the amount of food but the quality. Nothing helps like the top off of all the cupcakes. :) Cheetoes have been a close friend more times than once. But at least I get that it was emotionally driven and I can take charge of that. I'm hoping to walk shortly after I get the kiddos feed if the sun doesn't go down too fast. We have had a lot of snakes this year and they are soooo hard to see at dusk on the dirt road.
Solly..there isn't a doubt in my mind that you will start going the other direction again. You are so consistant and motivated. ((hugzz))
Toni...I'm with you. A new month, a new start. :)
Tech...congratulations on the opening of your new shop. WTG on a customer seeing your sign and stopping in. That is so neat. I'm praying you have more buisness than you know what to do with as the days go on.
Monet...curious George over here would love to see the stunning pieces of porcelin. Did you take pictures? Everything I've seen that you have done as been wonderful.
((Everybody)) Wishing you a FANTASTIC week.
Love and hugs,

I did take some pictures. Here is my favorite piece. It is porcelain, with a stain on the pot and a porcelain design added over the color. Then, I glazed it with a clear glaze. I am not sure if I will list it because I am not sure I want to part with it! Maybe I will double the price!
Boy my back is killing me today. Stupid me did some ab exercises with my DD last night at the gym and I don't have ab muscles to work so I guess I used my back. I am paying for it today.
We had a good upper body workout and then we walked home from the gym. I know I was glad to get home.
Monet, your piece is beautiful. Is it spoken for? If not, it willgo quickly I'm sure.
Country, hang in there girl. I have been going through some issues too and have turned to food. Have you tried the Cheetos with jalapeno seasoning? Fabulous. I ate the whole bag in 2 days. :bad: But we can get out of this and start this new month on the good side. We will do this!
Toni, You can meet your goal. I know you can. When you figure out the weekend thingy, let me know, I definately need help there.
Tech, I am so excited that you had 5 customers. What a wonderful first day. It will take some time and word of mouth to get going. Let's see a pic of that pole.
Need to get busy,,,,,,, Have a great day.

Howdy ho everyone. Its a cool Tuesday here in Missouri but of course the day will end up in the 80's. I'm just sitting here in my recliner drinking coffee with Jackson snuggled up with me. I love the mornings that are nice and quiet. Think I'm still tired from my day out yesterday but I've got to get on the treadmill in a bit. I feel my eating could have been better this week and we'll just have to see what the scale says tomorrow. I rarely anyway have a loss two weeks in a row. Its so slow going. My choices in food are okay but I can see they could have been better. But I guess I didn't get this way eating right in the first place. LOL
Solly- Good job on the exercise. I can see where you're going to be toned up for sure. And you're getting the added benefit of a walk home from the gym. But boy that's allot after working all day. You must be exhausted at night. The week end just ruins me. I get on a good eating plan during the week and then here comes the week end and kills me. I've just got to try harder I guess. What are jalapeno cheerios? I'm dying to know.
Monet- Wow the vase is wonderful. You must be so proud of you're wonderful talent. The person that gets this we'll be so lucky.
Crystal- I'm with you. My biggest problem has always been emotional eating. Let something happen here and where will you find me? Why the kitchen of course. Its so hard to eat right when life is messing with you. Here's hoping things smooth out and you can stay on track. Lets do this new month proud and get with it. Cause you know those holidays are going to start hitting us soon and we've got to be strong.
Well guess I'll go eat something. And of course have some more of that good coffee.

Hello. I want to get back to Sugarbusters. I have been eating too many "white" foods lately! :o Anyway, I have the book however I bought it about 5 years ago. Has much changed? Should I purchase a new book?
Thanks!!
Melissa
Ellen

Hello, Melissa! The book has hardly changed at all. The plan is still the same. Basically, avoid the whites, and high glycemic stuff. The only change I can think of is that carrots are now ok. They figured out that the way they had tested the glycemic index of them was off.
I hope you will join us! It is a small, but friendly and helpful group.

Thank you so much! I am sure I will be posting lots of questions. I joined Curves about a month ago and I have not lost ONE pound! I am very frustrated. I know Sugarbusters works...that has been the only thing that has helped in the past. I do not have a lot of weight to lose but 15-20 pounds would make me feel a lot better.
Are the carrots ok raw and cooked?

(copy/paste of a post on the General Chatter thread...the kids are bugging me to come out to the living room, but wanted to give you all an update, so I'm cheating)
Okay...end of day two and I went to the bank to deposit over a hundred dollars! Rent is already 1/4 paid and its only Wednesday!!
Today I had a guy come in that came in yesterday to tell me that his haircut is the best he's had in years. Everyone always cuts it too short. And I had a guy give me a $5 tip because I trimmed his mustache, eyebrows and those pesky little ear hairs as part of the cost of the haircut. And I got to do a cool haircolor that came out wicked awesome. I've had a bunch of people come in just to see the place and say it looks nice. I'm having a ball!!
Monet: SWEEEET piece of work, my dear. I wouldn't want to part with it, either. Thanks for sharing the picture!!

We decided to use a coupon and go to the new bbq place near us for dinner. The pulled pork was really good! I got okra and green beans, and did not eat the Texas toast. So, all in all, I did not do bad at all!
MELISSA: Yes! Carrots are ok both ways. I think it is preferred to eat them raw, but cooked is ok. :) I can relate to your frustrations with Curves. I used to be a member and lost like six pounds the first month, then nothing! I finally let my membership end, and joined LA Fitness since they have a pool and water aerobics and were cheaper! :o
TECH: Yay! Glad it is going well. I wish I lived close...I would come in for a cut! I am getting decidedly shaggy!

EVENING ALL YOU BUSTERS!!!
Sorry I haven't been around in a few days, BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!! BUT....I'm here now, and that's what counts!!
It was so nice here yesterday and today. Lots of breeze and no humidity...almost like fall should be. BUT...they are saying that the heat is coming back. If I was still in Kentucky, we would call that INDIAN SUMMER.
Down here, it's just plan DANG HOT!!!!
I heard from MELF today, so she's still alive and kicking...she hasn't replied yet, so I don't know where she's been. I'll let y'all know when I hear.
JACKIE...to answer you question from the other day as to why I haven't said how much I've lost.....I never have done that, but just to make you happy, I'll spill the beans...I've lost 16lbs so far and that's really good for me. Eating healthy feels so good... I've been able to get a lot of good fresh veggies lately and that helps! It embarrasses me when I let myself go and
blow up like the BLIMP....It's the BELLY that really got me..if I can get that down, I'll be happy!
HOW BOUT THEM CATS????? I'm so happy for them...They WILL BEAT THE VOLS THIS YEAR!and that's a given. We're just having one of those bad years....Every University has one, and this is our time!
MONET....LOVE THAT PIECE your posted....Hope you're selling a lot and making some money!...I saw a Tshirt the other day that I almost bought you, and I just might do it anyway...it says...."WHAT HAPPENS IN THE GARAGE STAYS IN THE GARAGE!!!!" That could become your motto!
TECH...I'm so happy for you and your shop...PLEASE TAKE SOME PICTURES so we can see! Especially the POLE!!!
THIN...RACHEL is so pretty...She's growing up fast, and the boys will be beating down the door soo!
MELISSA...{{{{{WELCOME TO OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE BOARD}}}} Glad to have you and can't wait to learn more about you!
TONI....WHAT'S COOKING CHICK???? I'll get you that recipe posted soon for the Mexican Cornbread...we ate the last of it last night with the last of the pinto's....
CRYSTLE...It's ALWAYS good when you show up again...I miss you when you're not around. Got anything planted for a late garden? KATE always did that and we had lots of good stuff all the way through October.
Well, I'm off to climb up in the FOUR POSTER...I'm ready to recline!

I wrote a post before but I don't know what happened to it. So I'll try again. I'm about ready to call it a night. Eating has been fine today. I made a yummy omelet for lunch. And had some whole wheat pasta for dinner. I did get some stuff made ahead, like coleslaw, a tomato salad and some sliced strawberries all done up. It will be nice the rest of the week to have them to pull out of the fridge.
Bob- I'm glad you didn't forget about the recipe. We just got done with our beans this week too.
Monet- Sounds like you made good choices at the barbecue place.
Melissa- Welcome.
Sorry DH is home and I've got to make him something to eat.

Good morning ladies,
Good workout at the gym last night. I was sweating bullets when we left. DH walked home, but I said no way I can do it again. I don't know how he did it, he did 30 minutes on the treadmill, 45 on the bike and a few wts. We took a nice soak in the hot tub. I am a little sore today, but not too bad. I have not been walking inthe mornings. I have been so tired, and not sleeping well. I at least wanted to walk on Wed & Fridays since we don't go to the gym,but I couldn't get out of bed today. Maybe Friday.
Toni, I meant to type jalepeno cheetos not cheerios. I love anything hot, hot.
Bob, :woohoo: 16 lbs is awesome. I am so proud of you. Now keep it going. I know you can. See how much better you feel.
Melissa, welcome to our group. Ask away, we all have answers.
Monet, That t-shirt would be perfect for you. Gosh you and Tech are our resident self-employed business women.
Tech, what a great time you are having. I am so happy that things are going so well for you.
Got to run. Have a great day

Good morning! Like Solly, I did not sleep well and today I am just drained. I need to clean, but I can't face it. I did not make it to water aerobics this morning, so I really need to take a walk. All I want to do is lay in bed and try and sleep.
I just spent an hour feeding Kaeleb breakfast, then chasing him around. He just loves walking and he walks in circles, then laughs. What a joy he is! Perhaps that is why I am feeling so tired now.
It looks like rain, and I am praying it does. North Georgia is in such a severe drought they are predicting we will run out of water in two to three weeks if we don't get some rain. Where is a good tropical storm when you need one? Our water comes from Lake Lanier and it is at an all time low.
Ok, off to try and get motivated to clean some. My pottery friend is coming tomorrow, instead of my going there. She is so neat and clean, I feel like such a slob! :o

Howdy- I got up early and got a permanet finally to my ugly hair. I feel so much better now. But I got up at 5 this morning cause the dog woke me up so I'm dragging now too. I didn't even walk on the treadmill.
Solly- I thought you'd made a new snack food and I wanted the recipe. LOL
Good job on the exercise.
Monet- It rained here last night, wish you would have gotten some of it.
Guess we're slow today. I'll check back later

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!
Has anyone tried the Atkins Endulge bars or the Morning bars? Most of them have 1g sugar, 140 calories, and 7 grams of fat. I have eaten them when I am in a hurry and don't have time to fix anything. Do you think they are Sugarbuster OK?
Thanks!
Ellen
10-03-2007, 06:33 PM
I got on my treadmill this afternoon for few minutes. I think it is fixed. Yay! My son in law has been trying to fix it for me. It will be nice to have another option for exercise.
Melissa, those bars are probably just fine for Sugarbusters. If you are eating them, and find you are not losing, try going without them for a week or two and see if there is a difference.

Not much happening around here...the SNOWBIRDS are trickling in and crowding up the roads....we did have a GULLY WASHER STORM last night which we really needed so I won't complain.
MONET...I've got a treadmill....a really good treadmill, and it holds towels, clothes, etc really well. I need to dust it off and get to walking! I know you enjoy your time with Kaeleb...he's at a good age to be funny. Got any new pictures of the little Munchkin???
MELISSA...I've never tried those bars...I think MONET eats the LARA bars, but I haven't tried those either. When I want one, I have a SOYJOY...the sugar count isn't the best on them, but everything else in them is good. The plus to my eating them is that I don't want them very often.
TONI...hope you got a nap in today...that's early to climb out of bed!
KRIS...How'd it go today? Pencil me in...I need a haircut!! PICTURES PLEASE!!!
JACKIE...The heat is slowly cooling down, so TIPPY and I will be out there walking...The humidity really gets me to the point that I can't breath so I'm not taking any chances....Getting all the nasties out of the house was the hard thing. Once they were gone, the rest was smooth sailing! Once I get a good handle on this, the smoking is next. Come November, the entire campus where I work will be smoke free, so I will have no choice but to JUST DO IT! (again)
OK GIRLFRIENDS...I'm off to do the TV thing....

Afternoon all. I just had a great lunch of low fat cottage cheese, tomato salad, and coleslaw. It keeps me full all afternoon till dinner. Its amazeing what a certain combo of food can do. The fat, protein, and vegetable. Doing laundry now and a little clean up. Later this evening a friend is coming for tea. So this is a really nice day.

Good afternoon everyone!
Ok-critique my day so far...
Breakfast-1 cup oatmeal
3 slices of Ready Serve Bacon
Tea
Water
Lunch-Salad with about 5 very small chicken nuggets, tomatoes, carrots and ranch dressing
About 7 Garden Harvest toasted chips-Just found them at the store...1st ingredient is whole grain wheat flour (16 chips=2g sugar)
1 laughing cow light cheese wedge
Tea
Water
I also exercised at Curves this morning.
What do you think? I need more water for sure!
Ellen
10-04-2007, 08:25 PM
MELISSA: I would add a piece of fruit at breakfast. Some would say watch the bacon. I am a bacon lover though, so I won't. I will say that if you don't lose, you might want to consider only two slices, or something leaner. The chicken nuggets...are they breaded? The breading is probably white flour if they are. You can use canned chicken, or tuna, or even low fat cheddar cheese instead. I have not seen those chips, but will look for them next time I am at the store and check the label. If they are legal, I want to try them! :) What are you planning for dinner? I hope some nice lean protein, and veggies. Remember to limit your starchy carbs to 2 servings a day.

Eating has been great. Had catfish for dinner. I cooked it in a little olive oil with some cajun seasoning on it. I had it with butternut squash, leftover coleslaw and tomato salad. Only had fruit in a smoothie today so need to up my fruit.
Monet- Our super wal mart carries those crackers. I tried them but I felt like I could taste carrot in them and so I didn't care for them. But I gave them to a friend and she loves them. Guess I'm weird.

Thank you, Monet!
The chicken nuggets were probably not very legal but they were very tiny...about the size of a nickel! I haven't made a good grocery run but I am planning a list for this weekend. I know I need to add fruit. For dinner my daughter and I went out with friends after her dance class, which we do every week, but I ordered chicken fajitas and mainly ate the chicken/veggies and some beans. Hopefully I didn't do too bad but after I make my big grocery run this weekend I hope to be able to do better! My DH is doing Sugarbusters with me so I do have lots of motivation. :)
What kind of yogurt is good? DH loves yogurt with breakfast.

Just popping in to say hello! I'm still alive and kickin over here! Things are going well. I go back to work October 29th and I'm not looking forward to it. Blake is doing well and Alexis is too. We have already had our first cold - had to use that sucker ball thing and all to get the snot out of his head - that was NOT fun! Other than that - not much else to report! I've been eating the hell out of halloween oreo cookies! It's time for me to go to work just so I can get out of the kitchen! Well, hope all is well with everyone!! I love you gals!

Hi Ladies,
Something I need to do is get rid of the sugar. I have type 2 diabetes. I would really like to try this and see if my Blood sugar will normalize a little.
I am from Oklahoma, married to a great man, have 3 wonderful children and 4 wonderful grandchildren, one dog , a Bichon, who now rules the house. I like cooking and decorating.
I have a busy day ahead of me, errands to run,but it is nice and cool this morning.
Have a happy Friday everyone,

I was wondering if I could get a quick overview of the diet until I find my book. I have the book Just have to find it.
Shrl
Ellen
10-05-2007, 10:35 AM
SHRL: :welcome3: A quick overview...ok! Do find the book and read it tho too! :) It will help. Do NOT eat white flour, white sugar, white rice, white potatoes, bananas, pineapple or watermelon. DO eat whole grains, sweet potatoes, brown rice, lots of veggies and lean protein. Any processed foods need to have less than 3 grams of sugar per serving. Limit starch servings to two or three a day. READ LABELS. If the ingredients include 'enriched wheat flour', or any manner of ****ose, it is probably NOT ok! The diet is really easy to follow if you just concentrate on veggies, low glycemic fruits, and lean proteins. Use low fat versions of cheese, milk and other dairy. DON'T use products with added sugar. I hope that helps! Sugarbusters is really good for diabetics. I am a diabetic, and my old doctor recommends the diet to all his patients who are. You should be familiar with the glycemic index, and chose your foods from those that have a low GI. Ask if you have any questions!

Good morning Ladies. Happy Friday!
Well I have made it to the gym 4 nights this week (well 1 of those I worked out at my machine at home). I think that is pretty good, but the scale is not moving. I hate that thing.
We have a wedding tonight, the last one, :woohoo: until next year anyway.
We have a new puppy (4 months old) we are trying him for the weekend. I somehow think he will not be going back. My DD is so attached already.
He is 3/4 ****zu (sp) and 1/4 Malteese. He is so cute. My granddogs are not going to be happy with me.
So now we are trying to come up with a name. The breeder called him Rawdie for Clint Eastwood when he was in Raw Hide. My DD wants to call him Rudy (the Notre Dame movie). I wanted Max. The girl at work thinks it should be Filson, since my DD works at the Filson Historical Societya nd the breeder does also. That sounds stuffy to me. I don't know. Any good name you have?
Monet, I am not sleeping well at all. Seems I wake up around 2:30 -3:00 every night and can't get back to sleep until time for the alarm. Kaeleb is adorable. He has gotten so tall.
Toni, Gosh I remember perms. Didn't know anyone got them any more. Did you post your recipe for the black bean soup?
Bob, the Cats couldn't beat Spurrier last night. Did you watch? I just don't like that man. Clean off that :tread: girl. Even a slow walk will help. You will be so motivated as you increase your time and speed.
Country, so glad to here you are doing good. Now hang in there. I am trying to do the same.
Melissa, Fruit, Fruit, Fruit. And Veggies. Doesn't look like a lot of food and your body will think it is in starvation mode. I tried those crackers. The plain ones are good, The tomatoe basil, someething like that were ok. My DH ate the whole bag so I didn't get many.
Missy, good to hear from you. I can't beleive you are going back to work already. Who will be keeping the kiddos? We need some new pics. I'm pulling for LSU this weekend. That should be a great game.
Shrl, :welcome: If you have diabetes this is the way for you to go. Ask any questions. I think Monet pretty well summarized it for you.

Just a quick fly by. I packed up some MUGS...(yep, BOB...) and I am going to make a run to the post office. I slept too late to go now. :( I want to go to the credit union at the same time and there is a popular restaurant right across the street. This is on the main street of the old town center, so it is crowded and I always try to avoid lunch time. So, I will wait until about 1:30, then go.
SHRL: A banana now and then is probably ok. Pick green tipped ones. I frankly eat one every other day or so because I need the potassium. Helps me not have problems with restless leg syndrome. I am a diabetic too, did I mention that? I find Sugarbusters pretty helpful in keeping my blood sugar levels good. I use Byetta though, and some days, my bg is just a roller coaster! Make sure you get in 30 minutes of walking each day. That helps a LOT. I have not been getting my walking or exercise in as much lately because my thyroid is messed up and I am SO tired it is hard to move. Hopefully, once I see my new doctor mid month, things will get better.
SOLLY: I was taking Melatonin and it was REALLY helping with the sleep. I think the last couple nights I had tea late, so I am going to try and leave that off tonight. Try taking Melatonin and see if it helps you. I actually had a week or more of really good sleep before these last two insomnia nights.
Ok, off to get some more stuff done.

Evening buster buddies. Can't believe its the week end already. Where did the week go? Just finished dinner and now watching a little t.v. Nothing new here with me. In fact I'm boring.
justsyd- I get the fajitas to when I eat at a Mexican restaurant. I just don't eat the shells. And I have been known to sneak in the whole wheat ones. Don't forget some fruit when shopping. I get Bluebunny yogurt. I believe mine is low fat or non fat. I have a banana once in awhile. I try to buy the greenest ones.
Solly- I'll have to post the black bean soup. Its Bob's recipe and I love it.
Have a good time at the wedding. You've sure done great with the exercising this week. WOO HOO.
Shrl-Welcome to the board. We're sure glad to have you among us. This is a great place to be and get lots of support.
Monet- Hope you had a good day.
Bob- I'm afraid of getting bones in fish to. I just get the fillets and they don't have bones in the ones I get. Its hard to get fresh fish around here.
Well off I go....

Evening! I finally lost all my patience and unloaded the kiln...with hot pads! :) Everything turned out ok for now, but I still need to glaze and fire again. I have over a loads worth to glaze, and I should have glazed today so I could load it up and turn it on tonight, but I was a bum and did not. So, tomorrow I will be a busy little potter!
Dinner tonight was the topping off four pieces of pizza. I ate a bit of crust, but it was very thin. It was not my idea, Laura and Justin wanted it and ordered and paid for it. It was nice not having to cook.
I am pretty tired so I will head off to bed! Good night and sweet dreams!

Evening all. I'm dragging in here so shame faced. I messed up and had wine two nights in a row. I'll have messed up any loss I might have had. I won't know till Wed. when I weigh in. I'm so mad at my self. Didn't even get the pot of beef soup I was going to make made. I'll have to do that tomorrow.
Bob- Can I come for some of that wonderful sounding pork roast. Man I love that so good. And you can do so much with the leftovers. My DH loves burritos made from it.
Guess everyone is either vegitating or busy today.

TONI,
It was absolutely WONDERFUL!! So tender...I put it on at 350 around 2pm and just let it go. I put a little water in the bottom of the pot, a lot of garlic and then just salt and pepper on the pork. Threw in a few stalks of celery, a few turnips (tis the season). Fixed spinach... and some corn for Kate.
Come on down and have some....
I'm off to recline...see ya tomorrow!

I've had a few no no's this weekend. We had Mexican last night and I got lost in the chip bowl. :) Tonight I had a few crackers in my soup. I was needing some comfort food and for me soup and crackers always fills the bill. Still that being said, other than that I did pretty good. I think when we mess up a little it is important to see what we did right so we don't get in a downward spiral.
I hope ya'll have a SUPER week this week.

Good morning ladies
Boy those weekend go fast. Yesterday we spent cleaning the house and the cars. My DD & SIL came for dinner and brought their dogs to meet our new little puppy. It went well, but chaotic. The little guy will not sleep in a cage nor his bed and wants to be in our bed. Last night he slept on my DH's pillow all night. This always happens, the dogs always love my DH the most. He follow him everywhere.
Eating was so-so. The wedding food was good and I probably overdid it. Especially with the wine.
Back to the gym tonight. Should get 3 or 4 nights in this week.
Toni, I feel you on the wine, I had way to much at the wedding and too much vodka the next night.
Bob, :woohoo: Those Vols beat up those dawgs pretty bad. I watched the LSU game but went to bed at half time. It was a good game.
Monet, hope you are feeling better today. Don't you just love it when the kids buy.
Shrl, how are you doing so far?
Country, You are right, we do need to focus on the good things we do. Thanks for reminding us.
My desk is covered, so I had better get busy here. Have a good day.

Howdy all. I did so good on the treadmill this morning. I was very determined. Also got a vegetable beef soup cooking in the crockpot. I had cheerios and orange juice for breakfast so I'm on my way to having a good day. LOL... I know it can't make up for what I did over the week end but thats past now. Think I might mop the kitchen in a bit or maybe do some laundry. Not sure.
Bob- Now you've done it. I'll have to get a pork roast this week end when I shop. That sounded so good. And thank you for posting how you did it.
Crystle- You're right about thinking what you did right. I'm having trouble being down about how I messed up this week end. And other wise I did good.
Solly- Well girlfriend we should have stayed out of the wine. LOL. But I did enjoy it. Now to get on with our week.
Well off I'll go. Be back later...

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!
My day went fast. The mere second I walked into my office, I didn't stop except for lunch. I like to be busy...the day goes faster that way...
TONI...I use those big jars of minced garlic to do most of my cooking. Really, the only time I use cloves of garlic is when I make HUMMUS....which I'm going to do tonight!! The PORK BUTT I got had a bone (which I prefer for the flavor). It weighed a little over 4lbs and I got it for $.99 a lb! I'm going to take part of the left over and chop it up with my cleavers and make BBQ out of it. Then, Kate will take some of it and make HASH out of it. Do you ever make that?
I've not forgotten your recipe for the Mexican Cornbread. Kate is rewriting it because she said if anyone made it the way it's originally written they would never eat it again. When she does this, I'll pass it along to you.
JACKIE....My guys could have been playing that way all year had they tried!
It was a good game, and I especially liked the LSU - FLA game. One of my DOCS is a FL GRAD and this morning when he passed me, I merely said "HOLD THAT TIGER "....not loud, just loud enough for him to hear and he just turned around and looked at me. He didn't talk to me the rest of the day. THEN...just before I left, he passed my office and I yelled at him to come back. When he got to my door, I said " Turn around", and he was looking like you do when you think you've got something on you...He wanted to know what it was, and I said "You've got a TIGER CLAW in your butt!" I finally got a laugh out of him with that one.
CRYSTLE...Good to see you...I miss you when you're not around!
Well Ladies, I'm off to fix a little supper...I'll talk to you later.

My house smells so good. I just put in some sweet potato in the soup. Had to wait till DH was gone. He's not a fan of it. Eating has been great today.
Bob- You're making me hungry. I love barbecued pork. I would love to taste your Hummus I've never had any. Thanks to Kate for redoing the recipe.
We ordered a large braid of garlic over the internet. It came from Gillroy in Calif. Its so good and looks great hanging in the kitchen. My DH is a real garlic eater so we use lots. But before I used the jar kind and loved you could just reach in the fridge and get what you wanted so easy.
Just ordered that cookbook of Jessica Seinfields on hiding vegetables for your kids. I thought maybe I could use some of the recipes for my DH cause he just doesn't eat any vegetables unless they're mixed up and you can't see it.
I'm off to eat......

Darn where is everybody? Its so lonely in this room. Are you okay Monet? All is fine my way. My soup turned out so good. I package serving size bowls up. I'll wait a couple of days then put the containers in the freezer. Great for us to take out and thaw for a nice bowl of homemade soup.
Waiting for DH to wake up so I can walk on the treadmill. Guess I'll go and hope someone comes over here.

Good afternoon! I went to lunch with Tom and James. James got in last night after we went to bed. He has been gone a month, so it is so nice to see him! He leaves Friday... He will be going to Denver, so he is looking forward to a new area, and he will only be gone a few days. Yay!
I have a ton to do. Lots of boxes to pack and ship. I sold another piece in my online store, so I am pleased. I unloaded the kiln and it was not good at all...every piece was blah. Nothing to get excited about at all. I was pretty bummed.
I went to lunch with Tom and James today. We ate at a Cuban place and I got fish tacos. I only ate one and gave the other one to James. I did eat the yellow rice, and black beans, and some chips and queso dip, so I had WAY more carbs than I should have. I will have to be REALLY good tonight!
I will check in later.

Hi Ladies,
It's been busy and I am just now getting here.
Got a good work out int he gym last night. Can't go tonight. The Breast Cancer Walk is this weekend and they have a kick off dinner only for survivors at a local restaurant over the river. It is really nice. So me and 2 other friends that are survivors are going.
Bob, I meant to tell you awhile back when you were talking about quitting smoking, my friend (who has tried everything) is taking some new pill that has worked for her. I know several people on it and it is working. You will appreciate this: we name our puppy Rudy from the movie Rudy (Notre Dame) I think I will get him a ND collar. The breeder had called him Raudie so it is close not to confuse him. Don't you love it whent he bosses aren't there.
Toni, WTG girl, walking, mopping floors, cleaning, look at all the exercise you are getting. I thinkit is funny you are sneaking veggies into DH's food.
Monet, glad you got a small visit with James. He really travels all over the place. I assume he is liking this job. You are doing great selling your pieces.
Better run. Gots lots to do and I need to leave a few minutes early. Have a great night.

I am about to head down to the garagio and try and get some stuff made. I am going to be in a craft show at an elementary school near here on November 10, and I have to get some stuff done to sell!
Dinner was a hodge podge of stuff..yogurt, some cereal, a few brown rice chips, and some diet root beer. Nothing healthy. (WHAT was I thinking??)
BOB: I mailed your box today. You should have it in two days.

Just watching the end of the Biggest Loser. I love that show. Its been a boring day and I didn't even get a walk in. It seemed like from noon it was down hill. LOL.... I had a crazy dinner and I don't know why. I had a small piece of catfish, a yogurt and a half of a peanut butter sand.
Monet- If only I could have had a diet root beer I would have been happy. But now I'm hungry. I should have made myself eat better.
Missy- How you doing gal? And how are the kids.
Solly- Have a good time at the dinner. You deserve it.
Bob- Guess you're having that barbecue pork tonight. Yummy.
Guess I'll finish here and go watch more t.v. Be back tomorrow.

Sounds like last night was crazy dinner night. I won't even post mine. The dinner was very nice. I can't believe how many survivors were there. Many that were 15 to 40 years out. It gives me hope.
Monet, how nice you are doing a craft show. You will surely sell lots of stuff. That was a crazy dinner.
Toni, You too! Some days are just lazy and crazy. It was cool here today. Guess you are having the same weather. Going down to 40 tonight.
Tech, how is your shop doing? Check in when you can.
Where is everyone? Monet, better send out the hound dogs.
Got to run to the bank and later I am going to run out and get my flu shot.

Monet, what's with the underscored words?
Ellen
10-10-2007, 12:25 PM
SOLLY: From what I understand, it is a less annoying way to have ads. You click on the underscored words for the ad. As I am sure you can imagine, the forum is expensive to run, and ads are a way for the owners (the three sisters) to pay for the server, etc. There is also the option to pay for ad free. It is cheap..like $15 for six months. I highly recommend it!

Hello everyone. Its cool here today and supposed to be like that everyday this week. I've got sweats on and the dog in my lap so I'm toasty. But soon DH will wake up and I'll have to get busy. I even hear the heater running. Something I haven't heard for a long time. Had my bowl of cherrios this morning. And of course popped on the scale first thing and lost a 1/2 lb. Not great but because I didn't have a good week end I think thats okay and I'm pleased with it. I'm hopeing for a little more next week cause I'm weighing 190.5 and I'll be so excited to get out of this number and in to the 80's. I haven't been there in so long. Boy its hard to even get a little bit off of me. Like pulling teeth.
Solly- You made me think I need a flu shot. Better get busy and get one. I'm glad you had a nice time last night at the Cancer Survivor dinner. You rock....
Monet- You must be busy busy getting ready for the craft show. It will be a nice time to get some of your pottery for Christmas gifts. We have a big craft fair here every year and people come from all over. I believe its this week end.
Bob- Have a good day at work....
Happy day all.

I've had a great evening. My friend Pris and I went for a walk in the campground and then out to eat in the little cafe in town. I did good and had a salad and some cottage cheese. I came home and had two squares of 70% chocolate so I'm well satisfied. For lunch I had a bowl of vegetable beef soup (homemade) and a half a peanut butter sand. So eating has been good. And with the walk I got my exercise in.
Bob- Well Jackson is fine. But the contractor came out to measure our roof to order the lumber and Jackson had a fit. He just doesn't like him. So its going to be a hassel when he's working on our place. What kind of fish ya having?
Well off to curl up in the blanket and watch t.v.

Morning! Last night was a disaster. I forgot my Byetta when we went to pizza and beer night at church. I ate salad, then a small piece of birthday cake. They had run out of pizza when we got there and only had one little piece left, so Tom ate it. I ate a handful of peanuts and had a glass of milk with protein when we got home before I went to bed. My blood sugar levels were whacko. They were not great this morning either.
Today should be my day to go to North Georgia, but since James is home, and leaves in the morning, I am staying here and fixing dinner for all of us. So tonight we will have Panang Curry with pork, brown rice and something else...not sure what. Something with lots of veggies. I want to get a haircut today, and work in the garagio too. I need to figure out a good time to get a walk in too.
I hope you all have a great day!

Good afternoon ladies,
I don't normally get her on Thursdays, but can't get motivated to get working. I got a little light headed and sick at my stomach on the way back from my meetings. Still don't feel quite right. Don't know if I will get to the gym tonight or not. We have to go to the mall to pick up our shirts for the BC walk and they close at 8:00. I have a pot of chili on the stove for dinner. I love easy dinner nights.
Toni, it is so cool here too. I even had the heat up some in the car today. It felt good under that comforter this morning and that chili will fit the bill tonight. Good job on eating out. You will see those 180's soon.
Monet, what a good mom you are. I am sure James will appreciate the home cooked meal.
Bob, hope you wore your pink today. I appreciate it. Rudy is fine, typical puppy. I think he is starting to settle in now. You know the Cats play LSU this weekend. It is on ESPN so you should get it. I am sure we will not be able to stay with them, but should be better than last year's game. Get Kate in front the of the TV with her pom-poms. :cheer:
Only 2 more hours to go. Talk to you guys tomorrow.

Good morning! I got up extra early to drive James to the train station to go to the airport. He will be gone until next Thursday, but at least he is going someplace interesting- Denver. I don't think I could have gotten him out of the house if it had been NJ again!
I am very stiff and sore this morning and I am not sure why. I am going to blame it on the weather change. It has turned really cold here, and I actually had to wear a hoodie this morning to stay warm. I have on long jeans instead of capris, and I have not kicked my shoes off since I got home! I SHOULD go to the water aerobics class, but the thought of cold water this morning is not processing well, so I think I will climb back in bed instead!
I am wondering how Kris is doing with her shop...I sure wish she would check in!
KATFISH: :welcome3: We are glad to have you join us! Please jump right on in.
TONI: Sounds like you are doing terrific with your eating! Are you getting on the treadmill regularly now too? I think I may do treadmill today. It is too cold to go outside! (not really, but it FEELS awfully cold to me)
BOB: I am so glad the mugs got there! I am assuming they were all safe and sound, or you would have told me, right? I always worry about shipping pottery...if they drop it from the truck, or smash it, bye bye pottery no matter HOW well you wrap it!

Good morning Ladies & Happy Friday.
Didn't sleep well at all last night. I hit the couch as soon as we got home from the mall and just wanted to go to bed all night. Just felt yucky. Had some warm tea and that helped some. But once I did go to be I could not go to sleep. I tossed and turned until after 2:30 and then I woke up every hour until 5:00. I feel better today, just no energy or motivation.
We have the walk inthe morning and then we are going to Bardstown, KY to their arts and craft show. I think Sunday we will go to a local chili cookoff. Might as well get a good free lunch right?
Monet, I am all stiff today too. I guess it could be the change in weather. Great! I think it is supposed to warm back up some next week. We go from one extreme to another, can't have nice fall weather for a while.
Catfish, welcome to our group. I am curious too, what is Slim 4 Life? How did your weigh in go? Looking forward to getting to know you. Ask any questions you may have and we will steer you in the right direction.
Toni, Ham salad huh? Funny I could never eat that stuff. My mom made it alot, and I like ham with mayo on it, but I guess the looks of it just turn me off. They say you eat with your eyes first.
Bob, I love my pot that Monet did for me too. I think of her every time I walk into my kitchen. Hope Kate isn't too disappointed tomorrow with the Cats. I think LSU will kick our butts but I hope we put up a fight. I beleive Midnight Madness starts tonight in ole Rupp arena. They usually televise it here. Round ball will be here before you know it. I wanted to go to the Vandy/UK game, but DH tinks we might get a bid to the Music bowl so we will wait and try going to that one.
Well, everyone have a great weekend. I will talk to you all Monday.

Hello, I'm thinking of getting back on SB. I lost almost 40 pounds several years ago with it but have since gained it back.
It was so easy to follow but DH was deployed and when he came home wanted all the stuff he couldn't get over there and well... I gained.
Anyway, I woke up this morning and thought, "I've got to get this off! And I need to do it NOW!" So I'm going to try to get back on it starting today. (I HOPE!)
I do have a question though, I have this wonderful bread recipe that is mostly whole wheat but it does have some unbleached flour in it as well. How bad is that? It uses honey for the sugar. What do you think? It makes two loaves and I just made it yesterday. If I just eat a slice for breakfast, do you think I'll be okay? It has flax seed in it too and it is just wonderful. Next time I make it I'll try to use all whole wheat with some gluten but till then....
Anyway, I'm going to give this a try again. I know that if I stick with it I can lose and be healthy soon.

Morning all. Today is grocery shopping day so DH and I will get dressed and going pretty soon. Bob has made me hungry for a pork roast so I might check those out. I could make leftovers into burritos. Yum. Slept good last night till about 5:30 this morning when the dog woke me up.
Monet- I'm not doing real well with the treadmill. But do manage a few days a week. I need to do better. If only I could get on it in the morning but that would wake DH up. He gets up at 12:30 or 1 and by then I'm out of the mood. It was good you got to spend time with James. Hope he enjoys Denver.
Solly-Sounds like a busy week end for you. Hope you get some rest.
Going to have a little more coffee before I get dressed.

MOM: :welcome3: Glad to have you join us! Sugarbusters is easy to follow and it does work, so you made the right decision! No time like NOW... Your bread does sound great, even though it is kind of fringe on the legalness. :) If you just eat a slice at breakfast, and avoid any other no nos, I personally think it will not be terrible. Once you get to the point you have to make more, make it with all whole wheat and go from there. One step at a time, you know? I hope you will join us, and post often. It really does help to have some accountability. Some of us on here have followed SB for a long time, and we have some big losers on here too! Please tell you hubby thank you for his service from me.

Welcome Mommy22S. Hope you join our little group. I love homemade bread. When you make the bread next time with whole wheat I'll sure be interested in how it turns out. A big thanks to your DH for going to Iraq. What branch of the service is in? My son is in Iraq right now.

A big thanks to your DH for going to Iraq. What branch of the service is in? My son is in Iraq right now.
He is in the Army. How long has your son been there? Is he getting ready to come home or just got there? I hope you are able to hear from him (in one way or another) often.
I'm making my lunch right now. I'm having meatballs with cheese on top. I'll probably have to add a little something more, if not then I'll have an orange later on for a snack before supper.
I'm thinking fish for supper with salad but haven't decided what else yet. I need to start planning better.
Any of you have any good crockpot recipes that are SB friendly? I'm goin to go check out the recipe section but would love your pointing me in the right direction.

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!
We had a WONDERFUL day at WORK TODAY!! One Doc came in at 10 a.m. and saw a few patients and then left a little after noon...another one went to TAMPA to do a Workman's Comp lecture and then saw patients from 1p.m. to 4:15 pm. The other two were in Surgery and didn't even pop in. We had a POT LUCK today because of the slow day...we had hot dogs (done in the crock pot...all beef by the way), broccoli salad, a very unusual potato salad done with shredded potatoes (No, I didn't partake in that), baked beans, slaw (Spainish style, made with yogurt, honey, dijon mustard etc, I'll have to get the recipe for y'all), deviled eggs, HUMMUS (my contribution...I used Deb's recipe..or should I say ELI'S Mother's recipe), pepparoni/cheese platter, bean dip (home-made) and a lot more...I had a hotdog, slaw and deviled eggs. I'm getting ready to eat my left over chicken livers. I'm just now getting hungry...
MONET...ya know, I only opened a few of the mugs...guess I better check them all...I didn't hear any clinking in the box though...I don't think I knew that you were putting the basketballs and footballs on the handles...UNIQUE!! I definately will be keeping a few...I love pottery, and coffee mugs made from clay are great to sip from! THANKS AGAIN!!
JACKIE..We had a cold front move through yesterday and this morning was just like Spring in KY....it did get up in the 80's today, but the humidity is WAY DOWN so I didn't notice the heat as much. Tomorrow and Sunday are going to be the same as today, but next week, the heat and humidity will be back. It doesn't usually cool down good until November...I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Keep your nose out of the distillary when you go to BARDSTOWN!! Have a good time though!
Stranger things have happened in football, you just never know. I just hope if the CATS get behind, the score doesn't get blown out of wack!
TONI...I'm going to freeze the rest of my pork in its juices...I've got about 2lbs left and I sure don't want to lose it. I can't believe your Son has been gone that long. Seems like only yesterday you were telling us about him going to go...I'll continue to keep him in my prayers...
MOMMY...{{{{WELCOME}}}} We're so glad to have you with us. Tell us a little bit more about yourself. Where are you from?
OK....I'm off to eat my supper...think I'll fix a salad to go along with my livers.
Here's your movie picks for the weekend....
FRACTURE ....ANTHONY HOPKINS
EVAN ALMIGHTY....
CONSTELLATION...BILLY DEE WILLIAMS
I CAN DO BAD ALL BY MYSELF....TYLER PERRY
I'll check on y'all tomorrow....

Well, I did good last night for supper. I had a nice big salad with lettuce (2 kinds), cucumbers and broccoli with a piece of fish and green beans. YUM. I fixed white rice for the family but when they passed it my way I said, "No thank you." DH looked at me like I was crazy but honestly I didn't want any. He knows I'm trying so he didn't say anymore. YEA ME!!! I'm already down a pound! I'm sure it's water but hey, who cares!!!
Have a great day!!

JACKIE and MISSY... I'm not picking this one...I like BOTH TEAMS and I'm SITTING ON MY HANDS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE GAME!!

Happy Saturday all- This is a big week end in our little town because theres a craft fair going on. Its a real event. Don't think I'll go cause I'd just want one of those big funnel cakes. Yummy. Eating last night wasn't great I had pizza and wine. But thats my treat for the week. We went grocery shopping yesterday and I'm all stocked up on yummy things for the week. Lots of yogurt, fresh veggies and fruit. Think I'm making a pork roast for tonights dinner.
Bob- I got my pork roast but they didn't have any good boston butt's like I wanted. But it sounds good anyway. Hope you enjoy the games today. Thanks for much for the prayers for Scotty. It seems like forever and the closer it gets the more I seem to worry.
Mommy22S-Congrads on the 1lb. Your eating sounds great. Good deal passing on the white rice. I got some brown rice to cook for me tonight I think.
Guess I'll run. Be back later...

What kind of roast did you get...does it at least have a bone?

GEORGIA is in MY part of the CONFERENCE which is SPLIT into TWO parts because we're such a big CONFERENCE....MY PART is the EAST.....MISSY'S TEAM is in the WEST....FLORIDA MUST BE KNOCKED OFF in order to push the deserving TEAMS up to win.... KENTUCKY IS THAT DESERVING TEAM...They have totally come from behind and believe it or not, I'm pulling for KENTUCKY over my VOLS because of this!
MISSY'S team being on the OTHER SIDE, COULD HAVE the chance to play in the CHAMPIONSHIP....and I'm pulling for LSU to do this....

Okay...so, everytime I come out to post, Derek comes out to peer over my shoulder and it drives me NUTS.
anyhow...the shop is a great success so far. I couldn't me more happy aobut it. Except there is this lady that works at the grocery store that asked me to color her hair for her. She had been getting it highlighted by another stylist in town, but she hates having any roots, so I told her I could bring her to blond without the hightlighting and eliminate the roots for her. So, she came in and then told me she'd like to go darker. So, I used a color instead of the high-powered blonde I wanted to use and her roots came out totally orange. So, I had to get out the bleach and lift the orange out and got it mostly out, but it's still very brassy and not a real natural blonde. So, I told her her hair had been through enough for one day, but it was definitely passable to be seen in public, but to come back next week and we'll commence phase II, where I'll rid her of all brassyness and then follow up with a great neutral toner.
Okay...gotta run again... :(

Wow its football haven over here. I'm completely dumb when it comes to that. Nothing going on here. Wash in and dishes waiting for me. Tomorrow I need to go order a cake for DH's birthday. I'm going to get it a day early and take it to his work as a surprise. I'm trying to think of something else but so far I haven't. Maybe take a couple of pizza's also. Theres only a small crew that work in the evening. And DH needs surpriseing on his 60th. I'm planning a special meal for the big day also. Like steak and crab cakes.

Hi Toni!
Bob: The Bills are on a bye week, so no football news for me to report. I'm still mad over last Monday Night Football. What a heartbreaker.
Monet: How are things in your garage going?
Okay, so...this week, I make the orange hair lady look mauvelous and start off week three. I'm really quite upset over her hair and wish she would have let me do phase II on, like, Saturday. I mentioned she works at the grocery store, so mostly everyone in town had to have seen her hair and thinking it looks awful. I hope it doesn't kill my business. Really, if her hair hadn't been so damaged from the last hairdresser, I could have been more feisty getting through the brassy stage, but the worst case scenario would have been her hair falling off. :fr: I would have ripped my sign and barber pole off and moved to Buffalo.
Anyhow...I just finished decorating the front of the house for halloween with Shelley. This is the first year I couldn't care less about the decorations and the first year Shelley wanted to help me. Usually I'm out there myself and nobody even cares....this year I have a hundred other things on my mind and she's all, "Can we pleeeeeease make the house look cool this year?" Ugh...

Whew...I am exhausted. I have been babysitting Kaeleb, and he has been in some kind of mood! He went from one no no to another for two hours! He has a cold and obviously doesn't feel too well either. I finally just changed him, gave him an opportunity to have a bottle, then stuck him in bed. He screamed for five minutes and is now quiet. I imagine he just finally keeled over from exhaustion as he has been RUNNING in circles since they left.
I got some bowls thrown, but have not trimmed them yet. I had a few salvageable mugs from the ones that got too dry. I hope the handles don't crack. I have to wait until the parents get back to go down and work. I would not be able to hear the baby if I did.
Hope everyone is doing well.
TECH: Sounds like your business is going well! I hope it continues to grow! Once you get orange haired lady all fixed up, it will be fine! How does SHE seem to be taking it? That is what is most important. If she is trusting you she will tell everyone that.

Orange hair lady says she likes it and thinks she'll keep it the way it is. It's not THAT orange, but it looks awful to me. Problem is that she said at the start that she wanted to go a little darker, so I didn't use the high powered blonde I wanted to use and that's hwen the orange plague started. Its just that I have the products and the know-how to make it PERFECT blonde and she's not seeing the back where a lot of her stubborn orangieness is. I'm hoping she comes in so I can give her a color she can be proud of and one that others will want to know where she got it done thinking they want to go there, too, not so they know where NOT to go. Know what I mean?

Good morning! It is Metal Monster Monday! I stayed the same. :(
I slept poorly last night, Tom tells me I snored like a freight train, so it is probably time to get a sleep study done. Some people find losing weight easier with a c-pap machine. I am not crazy about the idea, but hey, if it works!
Not much else on the agenda today. Lunch with my neighbor who is probably going to start teaching for a teacher who resigned but has today off, and some work in the garagio.

Hi, I did well over the weekend. I had a few moments where I was starving but I made good choices and I'm down a total of 2 pounds now. I have lots to do around the house today in addition to our homeschooling. I also need to go to the store and pick up some brown rice and more cottage cheese. Hi Ladies,
This day has flown and I am swamped. It was a good weekend. Especially since the CATS won over LSU. I couldn't believe it. I even got a nice email from Missy congratulating me on the win. She is such a sweety. Eating was not good and what was worse I put on my jean capris (after the dryer) and could not get them on. Boy am I depressed. I have got to get serious and do something more than the gym. I am totally obsessed with food and I have to find a way to work that out. I want to eat all the time and I am not even hungry. Head problems.
I have bunco Wed and we are supposed to go the lake this weekend, which will be eating and drinking. I may stay home.
Mommy, congrats on your 2 lb loss. Sounds lik eyou are right on track.
BOB. can you believe it? I was so excited. No we face the Gators. I can't beleive you will cheer for the Cats over the Vols. It should be a good game. I am trying to find tickets for my SIL, He is a big Vols fan. You would love their basement. Covered in TN stuff.
Tech, sounds like you are doing great. Hey, if orange haired lady is happy, let it be. Hopefully she will come back and others too.
Toni, sounds like a nice surprise for your DH. 60th should be a special day.

Afternoon all. Its raining here and I can't seem to get warm this so I'm sitting in my chair with a blanket on my lap. Mailed packages today. My son will get his Iraq snack box, LOL in a week or so. I also sent a box to a young kid he's taken under his wing. Plus the Grandkids will get there Halloween boxes. Glad thats all done. It sure took a toll on my checkbook. Also had coffee with a friend. I got the cookbook by Jessica Seinfield on putting vegetable purees in your food. Its really made so children will get their veggies. It seems to take allot of work cause you have to steam your vegetables and make puree's out of them. But it gave me some good ideas.
Solly- I had trouble with snacking this week end. Seemed I had my hand in the cupboard all the time. I also had wine so I'll have to really get back on track.
Mommy22S-Congrads on another weight loss. You're doing great. Keep up the good work.
Monet- Hope you have a good day and maybe get a chance for a little nap.
Tech- Have a great week 3.
Bob- Boo hoo my pork roast didn't turn out that great. It will taste better when I make burritos out of it.
Better go and take a chair nap. LOL

Good afternoon. Welcome to all the newbies. These guys are the best and I hope you like it here as much as I do.
Life has been crazy with a capital C. :) But eating has been okay. I weighed about the same this week. I"m right at 182. I think once I get back in the 170's I'll have the motivation I need. I could still smack myself for allowing the weight to creep back on in the first place. But to go there is taking a step backwards so I'm just gonna look forward.
Tech...woo hoo on your business. You are doing great. Anybody can get a bad color or do but it is what the beautician does to fix it that counts. If your customer is happy she will tell everyone what a good job you did trying to fix it. :)
Love and hugs,

Well, I was in the store today and saw the orange hair lady and, maybe it was all the trauma of trying desperately to lift the orange out with bleach and panicking, but you know, it actually looks really nice. She said she likes it and said she's had compliments from people that say they like it better than before. So...I still told her that I have a toner that will give it more depth (because the ends look REALLY washed out from years of bleaching) and fullness and she said she'll be in on Thursday to see what I've got, but thinks she might just keep it as is. I still think the roots are a bit brassy, but I always have to remind myself that brassy hair always needs a day or two to oxidize and it calms down. But she really seems to like it, which makes me happy. I just hope she comes in on Thursday...I have a really great neutral toner that will make it perfect.

Good morning ladies
Thought I would get this in early before it gets too crazy. It is raining here and so dark. Guess we are getting Toni's weather. Made it to the gym last night and will go again tonight. This may be it for the week though. We will walk Saturday morning while at the lake.
Toni, it is raininghere too, but we need it so I am not complaining. I am getting tired of watering my flowers so I will let Mother Nature do it today. It is not as cool as I thought it would be though. You will get to 182 before you know it the way you are going. I know yours son and his friend will greatly appreciate your goody box. Just keep counting down those days until he is home.
Tech, See things always wor out. Hope the orange head lady tells everyone who fixed her hair and they all come your way.
Crystal, We are at the same weight. Now maybe we can both work together to see those 170's. I am trying, if I can only stay on the straight and narrow.
Mommy, I'm with Toni, maybe you didn't eat too much. Sometimes our bodies need that nourishment as we tend to under eat most of the time while dieting.
Monet, are you sleeping in this morning?
Well off to vote for Dancing with the Stars. It just gets better and better.

Hello all!
I have followed SB on and off for about 9 years. I always lose the weight and then jump ship and gain it back. I recently decided that I had to get back to this WOE. Within a week of making the change I found out that my father has diabetes. He will be 63 this year and overweight (belly weight). Up until he was diagnosed I didn't realize we had a family history for diabetes. Needless to say this has made me more determined to stick to the SB way of life.
My fathers doctor recommended South Beach products. I don't know too much about them. But I feel like SB should work well also. My problem is trying to make a good for him Holiday meal. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Ellen

Hello! Sorry I have been off. I got up this morning, wandered down for some breakfast, and then went down to check on some pieces in the garagio, and ended up staying down there for a long time. :) I got some stuff done though!
I need to head out to the grocery store to get some sandwich meats for Tom's lunch in just a bit.
MAABLES: :welcome3: So glad to have you join us! Sounds like you know the program well, so I hope you will jump right in and join us. I found out a little over a year ago that I am diabetic, and there is NO family history for it at all. I don't know anyone else in my family who has it. Needless to say, I was a bit surprised, but shouldn't have been. I have had insulin resistance problems for a long time. Holidays are not that hard for eating right. Anything that is ok for Sugarbusters is ok for a diabetic. You can use whole grain bread for stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, ham or turkey... the possibilities are pretty encouraging! I even make my own cranberry sauce. I just use fresh cranberries, an orange, and some splenda and cinnamon and pulse it in the food processor. I think you will find some recipes in the recipe area on here, but I hope others will join in and offer more suggestions. I even make Sugarbusters legal pumpkin and pecan pies. I either make my own whole wheat flour crust, or buy them frozen at Whole Foods. What are some of your dad's favorites that you particularly hope to adapt for him?

Thanks for the welcome Monet!
I did try and make a crustless pumpkin pie this weekend...it was ok. Seemed to have a bit of an aftertaste from the Splenda. I am not so good at making pie crusts. I will have a look at a health food store and see if they carry them.
I would mainly like to convert the desserts.:) I think I could make a pretty good chocolate "dreamwhip" pie. I thought I might just whip up some homemade whipped cream and add sf chocolate pudding to it. I think his favorite pie is cherry o' cheese pie (cream cheese, condensed sweetened milk, lemon juice, and cherry pie filling in a graham cracker crust). A pecan crust would probably work as a replacement...I'm just not sure about the canned milk.
I would like to try your cranberry sauce..it sounds wonderful. There is only one place that I have found Agave Nectar in our town and I love it...but it is from the wild agave. Would that be totally unusable for him?
More than anything my father said he missed having his biscuits and gravy on the weekends. I found a recipe for spelt biscuits but haven't tried them yet. Can you make tasty gravy with soy flour? The doctor says he can have new red potatoes but didn't say anything about sweet potatoes. I told him to ask the doc next time. I have a wonderful sweet potato recipe but it contains a lot of brown sugar. I'm not sure how the Brown Sugar Twin replacement would taste.
As far as my weight loss goes...I don't have much to lose. Although I think I am larger now than at any other time in my life. I could stand to take off 20-25 lbs. I don't own a scale I threw it out years ago. Last time I went to the doctor I was 148 to 152 depending on which scale I was on. :) Anyway..I would be ecstatic at about 125-130.
Sorry to ramble.
Thanks!!

Gosh darn I forgot to write ya gotta chill the pie. I use different flavors of jello for a change.
Howdy all. We've got a beautiful day but rain is on its way this evening. But today is great with beautiful blue skies and white puffy clouds. I made me such a good omelet for lunch. I sauteed fresh asparagus, red bell pepper, purple onion along with fresh mushrooms for it. Along with some cheese it made a wonderful filling meal. Yummy. Just about time for DH to go to work so better hurry here.
maables-WELCOME to our group. Its so good to have you. There's so much you can make your Dad could eat. And would be good for you. I decided I needed to quit fighting with my eating and make this a life style along with getting the healthiest food in me possible. Its slow for me but rewarding.
Monet- I'll bet it feels so good to have a good day in the garage. I so enjoy my mug and am drinking tea out of it right now.
Solly- Can't believe I forgot to watch Dancing with the Stars last night. Dang where was my mind. You sure are getting some good work outs done.
Better run.....

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!!
We have gotten SO BUSY at work. We had a couple fly in from Alaska yesterday to see one of our Surgeons for some "back work"...They will stay until the surgery and then afterward for the care also. It was fun setting this up for them. To call them, you might as well called THE SOUP CAN because that was what it was like. They aren't Eskimo's though...I was kinda bummed about that!
JACKIE...I'm so excited that I can't stand it. Did you read in the paper all the damage that was done after the game Saturday.....if they beat the GATORS, there won't be anything left in Lexington! I'm not giving up on the VOLS, they play at 12:30....BEAT BAMA!!! It's on Jefferson Pilot so I'll get to see that. It should be over by the time YOUR GAME starts!!!
Are y'all suffering from the drought like SE KY??? My Brother lives in Danville now (since he got married) and I noticed it was raining there today as well.
TONI...Was your roast tuff? I find that when I do a boneless, it tends to be that way...I just love a bone in hunks of meat that I cook...Last night, I put
2 inch centercut porkchops on the grill after marinating them over night..MAN WERE THEY GOOD!
MONET...I've got your check ready to put in the mailbox in the morning. You should have it by Friday or Saturday. What's for supper???
CRYSTLE.... Hey Girlfriend...good to see you...I hope all the hard things go away really soon!
MAABLES....{{{{{{{{{WELCOME}}}}}}}}} we're glad to have you with us. My suggestion is forget the gravy....it's pretty hard to make good gravy without all that sausage grease! I love the Spelt products, but can't help you with the biscuits....
I'm off to fix some supper...See you LOSERS later!!

Bob my roast was tough a little bit. But I sliced it really thin so it was okay. I really was disappointed in it. Should have thrown it in the pressure cooker. Your pork chops sound so good. I'll probably have fish again tonight. I seem to kind of eat the same things durning the week.

TONI...I use MICKY GILLEY marinade...it's something you mix with olive oil and water...I add plenty of garlic powder and pepper...I also use this on my chicken...it's so dang good!!!

MAABLES: There are several recipes for whole wheat biscuits in the recipe section. I have made a couple of them, and they were not too bad. I make gravy with broth and whole wheat flour. I have used broth and cornstarch. Not legal, but you don't need grease for it,and it tastes pretty good. Just need to limit how much you eat of it. Pie crust isn't hard, you just need to make sure you don't over work it. I make it with 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, 1 stick of butter, 1/2 t. salt. Cut the butter into the flour with fingers, or a pastry cutter until it looks like coarse meal. Then add ice water - about 1/2 cup total- just a bit at a time until the dough just sticks together. Press it together, roll out on a floured board. I use whole wheat pastry flour. As for soy flour, I avoid soy like the plague. It is not good for your thyroid, and I have thyroid problems.

Morning all.... Its raining here and gloomy. Maybe our fall will be prettier for it. Wish we could share our rain with one of the states that really need it. Well I gained 1 lb. this week. I know its over having wine over the week end and I've just got to choose to not do that. Also need to get my butt to moving with some exercise. Well now I've got a new week again. Hope I do better.
Bob- Is that a dry mix then you add your stuff to it? I'll look for it next time I go shopping. Thanks for the tip.
Monet- I'd misplaced your pie crust recipe so thanks for the reprint. Its time to start thinking of those Thanksgiving recipes. Wish there was a Whole Foods around here. I would love to buy a pie crust already made.
Mabbles- I think its such a good thing to think of things to cook that you love. You never can tell what someone will come up with.
Well guess I'll finish up the coffee here and figure out whats for lunch. Think its going to be a tuna sand. I'll have to cut up some veggies to put in it.
Toni48

Maables- I just talked to my sister and shes a diabetic she makes gravy by using wheat flour. She said it comes out grainy and not as smooth but just as good as regular. So you can make biscuits and gravy.

I had my doctor's appointment this morning. I am going to like this doctor. He goes by how you feel and not the lab tests. Yay! I then took my car to drop off at the shop and went out to lunch with Laura. I was going to be bad and get a burger, but I got the meatloaf instead, with two veggies. It was rather seasoned, but pretty good.
I am about to change and get down to the garagio to work. Later!
MAABLES: Ditto what Toni said about the flour for gravy. You CAN do it with whole wheat...it is just not as smooth but tastes pretty good.

Good afternoon. I just love coming to the board. You guys are the best. Things appear to be calming down. I don't want to say it too loud..LOL
Jackie...We can do this I know we can. It has just been SOOOO hard this time around. I got spoiled the first time. It just fell off and this time I lose in ounces instead of pounds and one cheat seems to put it all back. I wonder if it has anything to do with being older? Water is a big issue. I need to start drinking it again.
Toni...Your pie recipe sounds yummy. We are cloudy here in my part of Texas also. Day before yesterday was our rainy day. My pasture looked like a lake.
Maables...howdy. Welcome to the group. One of my favorite holiday treats is the crustless cheesecake in the recipe section. YUM YUM
Bob...thanks for the well wishes. Hopefully it is time for the mountain top again. I know the valleys are benificial but they stink. :)
Monet...Good job on passing on the burger. I wasn't such a good girl yesterday. I dont' know that I should be so honest but I ate a whole sleeve of crackers. I'm so weak. :o
Stormy is in the kitchen cooking something. I"m curious what since she is suppose to be making salads...LOL Speaking of food we tried fresh mozzarella for the first time yesterday. It is WAY different from the stuff we usually buy. We LOVED the fresh.
Awww the smell just hit me..Stormy is cooking bacon. Bad girl...LOL
Love and hugs,

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!
DANG I'M TIRED....AND THE MASSES ARE NOT EVEN HERE IN FORCE YET!!!
TONI...yes, it's a packet. My grocery stores quit carrying it so I order mine online. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll give you the address..It comes in HICKORY and MESQUETE (sp>?) I especially love it with my grilled chicken...I take the chicken (boneless breast), cut it into strips (after grilling)
take a tortilla, spread it with MARIE'S CHUNKY FETA DRESSING and put the chicken on it and wrap it up...OH...MY...GAWD!!! It's to die for!
MONET....Glad you like your new Doc...I MAILED YOUR CHECK TODAY.....;) So, you had a meat and two instead of a meat and three... I just love it when I go to Greenville...there are so many good MEAT N 3's places there...good ole country cooking!
MAABLES...be sure to let me know how that gravy turns out...I just can't imagine....I'm from the SOUTH....born and raised and I don't know any other
gravy but the good ole greasy kind...
CRYSTLE...Honey, I do know about those valleys....I believe when you get to the MOUNTAIN TOP...you need to let it go and scream your head off.
Did Stormy fix your bacon real good and crisp??? I do mine in the microwave on paper towels...I know a lot of people who bake their bacon on the broiler rack. I've never tried it that way, but they say once you have it, you don't want it any other way.
Now I want bacon....so I think I'll fix some and some scrambled eggs for supper. Kate had a salad, grilled porkchop and some corn...
I'll catch y'all on the flip side!

Good evening. We're having a rain storm here and are under a tornado watch. One has already touched down and did some damage this evening in another part of Missouri. I love how they tell you to get out of a mobile home and lay in a ditch. I guess you would drown cause the ditches are filled with water. Besides its pitch dark out there. So guess I'll take my chance inside. Hope it doesn't mess up me watching Larry King tonight. The hard rain makes our dish go off. And Dr. Oz is going to be on Larry. Dinner was good tonight. Fish baked, steamed asparagus and a salad.
Bob- I may have to get that site from you. Being in the boondocks is sometimes a real disavantage. Oh my gosh that wrap sounds so good. I've got to make that.
mabbles- Hope the gravy turns out good. Are you going to make some whole wheat biscuits to go with the gravy?
Crystle- Hope your dinner turned out good. Just keep coming here you'll slowly get back on it. You can do this. I know what you mean about getting spoiled the first time around. I'm having a heck of a time and eating healtier than I ever have.
Monet- Thats so good you like the doctor you went to. Thats so important. I have the best heart doctor but my primary doctor is for the birds.
Well poo the program I was going to watch on Larry King is changed. Guess I'll go pout.

Slow day here in SB land. I have been going all day! My older daughter came to visit today. She lives about 45 minutes away, so I don't get to see her often. She works as a assistant bakery manager for Publix, so she is working 50 plus hours a week. It is always a treat to have a day with her. She is very artsy, and makes jewelry and sews. We went to Hobby Lobby, out to lunch, Trader Joes, and now she and Laura are off shopping for clothes and toys for Kaeleb.
I bought some new toys to use with clay, so I think I will change into some dirty shorts and shirt, and go pull some handles and decorate some piggy banks.
I hope everyone is doing well. We haven't heard from THINWITHIN for a while...or TECH, ROSALIE, THUNDERWOMAN, FILLISE, SAROSE, and where is SEF? I always worry about her when she doesn't post....

Hi all. I came over here today but no one had posted so I didn't. I can't believe how slow we are. I've snacked all day, I can't seem to settle on something. Theres really no news here. WE had a big storm last night. Lots of places in Missouri got tornado's. I think they said we had 11. Have a good evening.

Good morning! I have a busy day today. I have to pack up a teapot I sold and ship it, go to the bank, run to Costco, and then I hope to get the kiln loaded and on for a bisque fire. It is drizzling, so the kiln may not happen. When it is humid, stuff doesn't dry too quickly and I have not looked at the pieces yet to see if they are all dry enough. I pulled handles last night, so I am thinking probably not....
Have a great day!

Happy Friday Ladies
It was a crazy night. We had tornado warnings from 6:30 to the morning hours. I don't think we ever had an actual tornado. It was creepy. It never rained until after we went to bed. Today is nice and the weekend is supposed to be beautiful. We are head to the lake for the weekend. 21 of us. It should be interesting.
Go CATS.......Beat those Gators. I don't think it will happen, then again I never thought we would beat LSU. Who knows!!!
Bob, I won't get to see the Ky game or the Lou game tonight. They don't have cable in their cabin. I guess we will listen to it on the radio. I will tape it though. Maybe we will be able to pick up the TN game. Tell kate to cheer hard and loud. What did you marinate your chops in?
Maables, Welcome (can't remember if I did already) There are tons of things to fix during the holidays. Monet listed a bunch. Nothing more legal than turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing with ww bread. I think there are some gravies out there low in sugar too. I get whole wheat pie crusts at Whole Foods. I make a chocolate pie with ff pudding and put the ff cool whip on top. Everyone loves. it. I miss the bisquits and gravy too. But I guess that is how we got like this. I have not tried any of the ww recipes for bisquits so can't offer anything. I keep looking in the stores, they have come out with so many more ww things, maybe one day. Good luck.
Toni, you can watch it on line you know. Dr Oz, I have heard of him. Let me know when it is scheduled again if you will, I would love it see the show.
Monet, I'm glad you like your doctor that is so important and hard to find.
Crystal. Don't let your yesterdays fill up your today. Hope things are getting beter at home.
Well, been here long enough. Everyone have a fabulous weekend. GO CATS :cheer:

Howdy all- Have to go to town today to the bank and the grocery store. But have to pump some java into me first. Where did this week go....
Monet- I would much rather go to Cosco than to the little country market they have here in town. They've never heard of a healthy food there before. LOL. I made really good burritos with leftover pork and whole wheat tortilla shells last night.
Solly-You got our weather. Today its turned a little cool so I'll be sending it your way. Dr. Oz is great I watch him on Oprah when ever he's on. I hope Larry King reschedules him or I haven't missed him. I'll let you know.
Maables- I love Thanksgiving. And its so easy if you plan to make a healthy meal.
Well off to finish some more coffee up and then get dressed for the day.

Awfully quiet here in SB land. I worked pretty hard in the garagio today. I loaded up the kiln last night and turned it on late this morning. It is all done and cooling. I finished a few things, threw some more miniatures, and a couple other pieces. Tomorrow, I will need to unload, and reload. I may squeeze in a glaze kiln before I do another bisque. I have three weeks until the little craft fair, so I am trying to build up some stock.

Hello all.... Guess everyone has been busy this week end. I cleaned and worked in the kitchen yesterday. Today I just got a pot of chili in the crockpot for dinner tonight. I'm trying a new recipe so hope its good and I haven't made a big mess. LOL This chili has a can of pumpkin in it. Sounds weird huh. Well I'll know this evening. Its supposed to turn cool starting tomorrow.

Wow, this is something only 5 posts since Friday. Where is everyone?
We had a great time at the lake. There were 19 of us. Did a lot of nothing (except for eating) and a lot of catching up. These are friends that we used to run with 30 years ago. There was way too much food and way too much eating.
DH & DD have colds and aren't feeling well. Hope I don't catch it.
My chili won the chili cook-off at my DH's work. We won $60 in gift certificates.
Toni - how did that chili turn out with the pumpkin? Are you getting rain? We are expecting it today and for the next couple I think. It is cooler here today.
Monet, I am sure you will do great at the craft show. People are always looking for Christmas gifts.
Bob, I guess Kate didn't cheer hard enough. I really didn't think we could pull it off. At least we didn't get murdered.
Well, I had better get busy here. Might check back later.

The car has been turned in to the shop, and I had breakfast. (whole wheat English muffin with whipped cream cheese and hot tea) I need to get motivated to go work in the garagio, but I feel like taking a nap. It is dark and rainy. Yay! We need rain very very badly, so it is nice. It still makes me feel sleepy.

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!
I'm home early today...we had three Docs this morning, but one of them was done at 11:30 a.m. The one Doc who keeps us moving is in ITALY this week for his anniversary...I know that the busy time is upon us, so I'll enjoy this while I can.
JACKIE...I thought they had them there at the end. The last little bit of the 4th quarter was almost like watching the LSU game all over again.
Not a good weekend in THE SEC....did you see that VANDY-SC score??? We play STEVE next week and they will be armed for bear! No bowl game for my team this year...I'm afraid that PHAT PHIL will be gone...
TONI...the MOVIES were great. I suggest seeing GEORGIA RULE...you don't like football, so you probably wouldn't like WE ARE MARSHALL...I turned off the other movie...it was depressing!
MONET...HOpe you get your car back really soon.
I'm off to get something done. I'll check y'all later!

Happy wet Tuesday.
It is still raining here. I know we need it, but driving is impossible.
I had to go to the funeral home after work last night, so we didn't get to the gym. DD & DH are both still sick with some upper respitory thing. Tonight we have to take the puppy to the vet so I hope we can get some type of exercise in, maybe just a walk if it stops raining.
Monet, I know Ga needs the rain. I wish I could send you some. I hear you all only have 80 days of water left.
Toni, take your rain back. I am tired of fighting the drive to and from work.
Bob, I was to excited to see Vandy beat SC. I just do not like that man. Sure hope the Vols give him another loss. I think we have Ole Miss if I am not mistaken. Enjoy your easy work days. They are far and few between.
Where is everyone?
Tech, how is the shop going? Country, where are you? All our newbies, come on back. Anyone else lurking out there.
Well off to do something. Have a great day.

Morning! I slept late today. It is overcast and maybe we will get more rain. I have my fingers crossed! :crossed:
I fired off a kiln last night, so I will be anxiously awaiting its opening. Today, I have to run to the ceramic supply place and get a few things. I sure hope I sell some stuff at this sale, or I am going to be in trouble!
I made a few lidded jars yesterday evening, so I need to trim and finish them today.
I hope all is well with all of you!
SOLLY: Yes, we are really in a very bad drought. The Army Corp of Engineers adds to our woes as well. They are releasing millions of gallons of water for Alabama to generate power with, and to keep a tributary water level up due to an endangered mollusk. It seems ludicrous that millions of people will have a water crisis and they don't even KNOW for sure if this mollusk needs the waters that deep.
TONI: Are you still using your treadmill? I injured my ankle and have not- and I need to get back to it!

Evening all. Didn't get on sooner I've been out shopping. Ordered a cake for DH's birthday. Its really Friday but since he doesn't work that day I'm surpriseing him at work Thursday evening. I didn't want a cake here at the house so I'm doing it this way. Then I'll make him a nice dinner on his birthday. Got me a subway for dinner. Tried to make it as healthy as I could.
Solly- Sorry to tell you but I'm sending more rain your way. Plus its awfully cool. I wore a sweatshirt all today.
Monet- I've got to get back on the treadmill I got away from it and haven't been doing so good. I can tell on the scale to. Even though my eating is pretty good. Sorry about your ankle. Hope it heals up soon so you can get back on it. But I know those take a while to heal. I wish I could send you all soom rain.

Good morning ladies. Having my coffee and will have an english muffin (WW) soon. Haven't decided what I will put on it, pb or jelly or cream cheese.
It is still raining here. I think we have around 6 or 7" now. My sump pump is running and that makes me nervous. We have had a flooded basement twice already.
Monet, hope your ankle gets better soon. Maybe tape it up before you use the :tread:. I bet yo sell lots of stuff at the show. I would buy something if I were there. I'm sending you all this rain, I am tired of it. Driving is nuts. I also hear that NO is flooded right now. Doesn't make sense.
Toni, what a smart idea to take the cake to work and not have it around to tempt you. Subway isn't that bad if you stick to turkey on the ww bread. Sometimes I have that on thursday's when I am gone to meetings all day.
Bob, Well I will be pulling for the Vols for sure. I am waiting for my DD to take some pics with her digital camera, not that I will be able to get it on here. May have to send it to you or Monet to post. He got 2 shots and something in his nose for kennel cough. Got his heartworm and frontline treatments too. We have to go back for 1 more then he is good for a year. He was really good though. We went to Pet Smart afterwards to get him a toy and they were having their Halloween Costume Party. it was wild and some of those outfits. I couldn't beleive those dogs would wear that stuff.

Pound, pound, pound. Thats whats happening here. They're working on the roof today. Good thing we've got a break in the rain. They'll order the tin today and it should be in next Tues. when it comes in. Yippee. I've got to start work in the bedroom because after the roof we're getting new floors put in. I don't know what we're going to do with our house full of stuff when that happens. Oh well not going to worry about that now. I had the rest of my subway sand. for lunch. Glad thats gone. Guess I'll do some laundry today as soon as DH leaves for work. Nothing else its pretty boring.
Solly- I hope the rain stops there. Thats way to much. Think next time I'll try the salad at Subway.

More rain today. Its going to rain my roof workers off the job darn it. Its cold here too. My dog Jackson and I are curled up in the chair with a nice warm blanket on us. Guess I'll just work around the house today and then later in the afternoon I go to get DH's birthday cake and surprise him at work. So today will be busy. Just having coffee so I haven't eaten yet. Hope everyone has a good day.

Just got in from meetings and it's time to fix my lunch. Cold and windy here today and very dreary. At least the rain has stopped.
Monet, 6 lbs is awesome  Something is working.
Tony, keep that raint here today. We have had enough. Hope they can get back on your roof soon. Sounds like you are having a nice remodeling job.
Is it just the 3 of us here? Where is everyone?
Got to run. Have a great day.

I am checking in from North Georgia. Bonnie had to drive into town with her husband to take a car to the shop, then go by and pick up her daughter from school, so I am hanging out on her computer for a while. I feel sleepy so I might go find a place to take a nap!
We got the kiln loaded and on, so there will be nice glazed stuff- hopefully nice- tomorrow. I will have to get it next week because I am not going to stay and wait for it.
I will check in tonight when I get home!

Well, things have slowed down a bit over the last week. Started on Saturday with not one customer and this week, its friday and I am at a grand total of $40 for the week! :fr: But I have my rent paid for the month and my utilities and our little town has a monthly publication that is quite popular put out by the Chamber of Commerce and I joined last week and will have a coupon in it for the next three months! So, we'll see if that generates some business. Scary thing is that a lot of the customers I've done so far have said, "I'll see you in the spring!" because they to go Florida for the winter. I hope it doesn't die off too bad!
Toni, MOnet, Solly, Bob and everyone...I will give you better replies when I have a chance. I have to go get Kyle's lunch made and get him up for school. We have a PTO Halloween party tonight. I just am hating Halloween this year. Shelley always gets these wild ideas for costumes and makes me feel like a horrible mother because I can't figure out ways to help her make the idea work. I'm SO not creative with costumes like other moms. I'm so much more interested in getting a $20 package deal at Target and considering myself done. So, she wants to be a dead prom queen this year. First of all, something about me being a mom, I think, has me not really interested in seeing her looking dead. Secondly, that requires a gown to be town and destroyed, an up-do to be done at 5:30 in the morning and then messed up, and all these weird things that will end up costing a ton of time and money. Kyle is Jengo Fatt from Star Wars. Cost $20...put him in his body suit, put on the belt, put on the helmet and its done. Shelley...not so much....every year has to be some weirdness. She wants me to get a fake knife, cut it in half and stick it to her back to look like a jealous girl killed her. I'm just not liking it at all. And she's making me feel like a totally lame mom for not getting on board and helping her. I had a beautiful Geisha outfit in my hand last night at Target and I could put her hair in a neat bun, spray paint it black and put in some chop sticks...paint her face white and make it look totally cool...but she wants to be this gruesome thing and I just hate it. Sigh...
Anyhow...off to make lunch and get the boy up...TTFN!!

MORNING EVERY BUDDY!!!
I got up with a sick headache this morning, so here I am! Luckily, there is only one DOC in today, so it won't be busy.
JACKIE....keep your fingers crossed on Saturday....we play THE VISOR MAN....I'm pretty certain that we won't get an invite to ANY bowl game this year, but a win would still be nice! What are your plans for the weekend???
KRIS...We suffer from the same SIX MONTH SICKNESS....Your customers are down here now, and my customers come to you after April.
SEASON IS HELL ON WHEELS!!! You'll be fine....why don't you promote a special....if the Parent comes in for service, you'll cut the Kid for free? You don't have to do that for the whole Winter season, but it will draw in the people! By doing the Parent, you still make $$$....Just a thought...
I don't envy you with the costume thing...I couldn't come up with one if I had to....When the Kiddo's do get their GARB, but sure to post a picture. I'll be anxious to see....
MONET....Hope you had a good productive trip to NO GA....Did you find a place to lay your weary head? A nap is always good...I take it you got your car back...HOW BOUT THE RAIN....Did you get any more? I'm prepared to send you some if you need it!
TONI....HOW DID THE BIRTHDAY CAKE SURPRISE GO????? I know Jackson is probably loving it when y'all cuddle up in that chair. Do he get spastic with all the hammering that's going on? OH....Last night was liver night....and man were my chicken livers good!!!!! Kate said hers was especially wonderful!!! Nothing like a good AMISH SUPPER!!!
I better get off here....I'll check in a little later!

Morning! I am waiting on my friend to come for coffee. I ought to go put the water on. :) I just got an email when I woke up...late...that she is coming over today. She is going out of town for a number of weeks next week, so it is fine with me, I am just surprised.
I did great in no. Georgia. I threw bottles and closed forms for Bonnie to play with. She had a picture of a lidded pig jar made that way she wanted to try. She is doing carving on pots, and her work is incredible! Just incredible! I can't wait for her to finish it and see how it sells.
TECH: Good to see you! Please don't be a stranger! We miss you. I know how you feel about the weird costume ideas. Sounds Goth to me. I had to keep my mouth shut when my daughter went to a concert last weekend in a purple corset, and flooffy skirt with knee high black boots. She is married, and not my responsibility. Her sister had on thigh high boots with buckles. She is married too. They would both probably think the dead prom queen was a cool idea. I think you ought to just tell Shelley that the idea gives you the creeps and you just CAN'T help her with it. It is time she learned that Mom is an individual with feelings, and opinions that are just as valid as her own.
BOB: I got my car back on Monday afternoon. Guess I forgot to mention it. It sure is nice to drive it with no gas smell! And I can fill it up again. Send the rain. We need it. They say we need twice as much as our normal rainfall to catch up after two years of serious drought. A hurricane would do. Opal dropped tons of water on us...that is what we need to catch up.
TONI: How did the surprise go?

Good morning and Happy Friday.
It has been a long week and I am ready to end it.
No big plans for the weekend. DH was supposed to work at the UofL game tomorrow and his work got cancelled. I had made plans to take my oldest DD to lunch and shopping since I thought he would be gone all day. So I guess we will go ahead and he can stay home with the dog and watch football.
Monet, I think I would still have to express my opinion even though they are married. And I do. Plus they have no problem telling me what I am wearing in not appropriate so I figure it goes both ways. Glad your trip to No Ga went so well. Is your firend selling things at the craft fair with you?
Tech, sorry business is so slow. I bet it will pick up. I like the idea of the coupon. Hang in there. At least you have your rent money. I feel for you on the costume. I have always hated Halloween for that same reason. I cannot ever come up with ideas and then when they do, I have no idea how to make it. I am not talented at all and do not think out of the box. I always went for the easy things, like a devil or rabbit where you only have to buy the ears. Keep in touch.
Bob, no big plans, getting my hair done in the morning. Trying to decide to go brown or stay with the red. The red fades so quickly and now it is blond. I probably won't like a change anyway. Read my intro on the rest of my plans. Going to be a quiet one. Cleaning and grocery shopping. I will be pulling for the Vols. I sure hope you beat visor man. My SIL is a huge fan too, so I have to pull for them. I am even pulling for his red Sox now.
Toni, Did you husband like your surprise? Hope it all went well.

GOOD LATE AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!
Went down to the DOC and got a heavy duty medication for my headache.
I never get headaches, and haven't had one of these since COLLEGE!!! I was told NOT TO DRIVE, and now I can see why....I've been in LALA LAND all afternoon. Slurred speach, stagering...etc....It's like I drank a quart of liquor! I'm better now, but KATE has been watching me since I took it. They gave me an excuse to take to work on Monday so it proves that I was there and not just sluffing off.
Supper will be left over LIVER for both of us....chicken livers for me, liver and onions for KATE....I'll throw in a salad and we'll be set. Going to pick up some fresh asparagus tomorrow ($1.39) and put it in the steamser. That's really cheap for down here. Don't know what I'll put with it, but I'll find something....maybe some grilled chicken.
MONET....So glad your car is fixed...nothing worse than smelling gas all the time! I'm surprised you didn't have a headache beause of it. Isn't it just amazing how they can find MORE stuff to fix????? How many miles have you got on that TOYOTA now? How's KALEB?????? NEW PICTURES????
It's raining here now. My YARD MAN came and cut the grass, and the minute he was done, the heavens opened up! I'll see if I can't send some your way. Any plans for the weekend?????
TONI??????? CAKE?????? HOW'D IT GO??????
Here are your movice picks for the weekend:
THE NUMBER 23
GAS
MISS POTTER
LONELY HEARTS
I'm doing laundry....I'll have everything caught up and I will be so happy!!!!!
CATCH Y'ALL ON THE FLIPSIDE!!!!

I cheated, cheated, cheated. When my friend and I went to pick up the cake we stopped and ate dinner and I didn't do well. Then we took the cake which was a wonderful success and I had a tiny piece of it. So I just blew the whole night. That shows you old habits die hard. Today is a new day. I've got the steaks thawing for dinner. So the birthday boy will have a good dinner with all the trimmings. Its rainy and cool here. Darn I dread winter.
Tech- Hope business picks up. I know it takes awhile to get established. We had a cafe and the 2nd year was so much better than the first. Its great you've got your rent paid. Maybe its just the end of the month that's going to be slow.
Solly- Hope you have a good shopping trip and a nice lunch out. I would love to do that with my kids. Wish they lived closer.
Bob- Boy that's awful about the headache. Do you have high blood pressure?
Hope that goes away and never comes back. It might be the liver you ate. LOL
Monet-Glad your car is fixed. And here's hoping your wonderful stuff comes out of the kiln nice.
Guess I'll go try to get something done in this messy house.

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!
I'm better today, slept really good last night, but I'm sure that's from the medication that I took.
TONI....YES...I have high blood pressure and that's what they think triggered this. I take my meds every day, but I guess the "pressure" wins out sometimes.
How'd everything go for HUBBY???? Spill the beans...was he surprised?
It's 25 minutes until KICK OFF....we play THE VISOR MAN today....at home so I've got my fingers crossed!
I've got to fix some breakfast....or should I say BRUNCH???? I'll check in later!

Hello everyone! I got up this morning, glazed and loaded the kiln, and got it going. Tom is taking me out for dinner tonight. We have not decided where yet.
I am snacking on a bowl of plain popcorn. I love the salty crunchy stuff...

Hey all.... Went grocery shopping today. Sure didn't want to but got it all over with. Its all loaded in and put away. Found some more organic stuff at Wal Mart I'm excited to try. Now I've got to think about dinner.
Bob- I hope you feel better. DH was surprised and turned a little red when I brought the cake in. They did a horrible job on the cake so I was a little red too. LOL. It was supposed to be a hunting scene but was a bunch of blue's and greens. Yuck. Anyway the workers enjoyed it. He sent a big hunk of the cake home with a guy that has a bunch of children and the kids called back and sang Steve happy birthday. I thought that was cool.
Monet- Hope you have a nice dinner out. Steve and I haven't went out for a long time.
Oh yea my brother sent Steve a remode control helicopter for his birthday. Can't wait to see him fly it. I'll go wander in the cupboards now....

Dinner out was SWEET! Tom wanted to go to Taco Mac because they have over 100 beers on tap. Of course they have lots of TVs with sports on and we caught the last five minutes of the Ga-Fla game.
DAWGS- 42!!!!
Gators - 30
After we finished dinner, we went to Home Depot where I looked for an attachment for Tom's cordless drill that I could use for a pottery chore. I could not find what I was looking for, so I am going to go explore online and see if I can find what I need. I don't want to pay for a Dremel tool if I can help it. If I have to have one, I want someone to give it to me for Christmas instead of paying for it now! :)
Off to search!

Hi all,
I haven't deserted the ship, I just got hung up on a reef of misery. Went through a bad patch with arthritis, vertigo, etc. etc. Just been miserable. Into every life some rain must fall, but sometimes it's more than needed. The doctor recommended PT for strenghtening muscle and tissues around joints, also may help balance, we'll see. It adds another thing to my schedule.
My weight keeps fluctuating around the same numbers but it is not gaining, sending me back to wehere I started.
I missed being here and reading all your posts, I haven't even been lurking!
Hope all is well with y'all. I will try to get back on the ball.
May good things happen, Shirley

Woopie Sef is here. We sure missed you.... I'm so sorry you've been having so much health problems, I hope you feel better soon!!!!
All is fine here. We're watching Storm Chasers. I've been reading up on Juicers. Does anyone have one????? Wonder if I would make enough juice to make it worth while. Its a lazy day today.
Ellen

TONI: I have a black and decker juicer. It works pretty well for what I wanted it for. I thought I might do more juicing and so I wanted one, but once I got it, I decided that the $25 I spent on it was enough. It juices lemons, limes, and oranges great, and also can do carrots, etc. I just did not like the veggie juices as much as I thought I would.

Thanks Monet I was afraid that is exactly how I'd feel and then I would have a juicer hanging around my tiny kitchen.

Thanks for the welcome back. I get so discouraged with my health complaints.
The only thing I pushed myself to do eas the nursing home and the entertaining at all the nursing homes. My family was so good. Often times by the time I do what I enjoy, I don't have the oomph to do what I should so I didn't do much cooking.
I am feeling a lot better, I hope it lasts a while.

Happy Monday if there can be such a thing.
Had an appointment with a dermatologist this morning (after a 2 month wait to get in). I have a spot on my arm which my Rheumatologist thought was cancerous. It may be a Basil Cell. She scraped it and will sent it off for testing. No big deal, just 2 hours late for work.
Boy is it cold here. It was in the 30's this morning. I am ready for summer. My outing with my DD was nice. After that me DH and I just spent the night home with the dog. Yesterday was busy, busy. Got up at 7:30 for church, cleaned the house, went to the grocery, fixed dinner, lunches and cleaned veggies. By 8:30 I was exhausted. I don't think I set down the entire day other than eating.
Monet, congrats to your Dawgs, they did something none of us could. Great game.
Toni, Glad your surprise went well. Don't worry about the cheat. As long as you get right back on track you are fine. It's when you let it linger for days (like me) that you have trouble. I did some grocery shopping yesterday too, over 2 hours. We were out of everything. DH cleaned the fridge before we went and boy was it bare.
Sef, glad to see you back, but sorry to hear about your health problems. Vertigo can drive you crazy. Hope the therapy will help.
Bob, Congrats to the VOLS! What a game. I am so happy they beat Visor Man.
Guess I had better go get some work done. Have a great day!

Hi all,
Went to the nursing home this morning. Thought I would take Bitsy in to have her nails cut. But it seems like too much trouble. I am a terrible mistress. Tomorrow is another day.
For supper think I will broil some talapia, make potatoes for family and some veggies for me. They are not big on veggies.
Felt a little "off" this morning. Sugar was down borderline. OJ helped get me back on track.
Tomorrow the Joyful Noise has our version of a practice. We are not as serious as we could be. Last Thursday we were entertaining and a group of high school girls came in as observers in the home. Jeff got them all to sing Happy Birthday in front of the audience, then later they all marched through the sudience to "When The Saints Come Marching In." The girls had a good time and so did the residents. Later in the afternoon the Activities Director called Jeff to tell him they enjoyed it. Heck, we did too!
MONET: Your son is always going somewhere it seems. You're lucky he lives with you so you have time with him.
SOLLY: Glad you are seeing a dermatologist. You can never be sure. I have had a couple of moles removed. I grew up when the sun was supposed tobe good for you, mama slapped baby oil on you and set you in the sand to bake!
TONI: When the fridge is bare is a dangerous time. Seems like I can always find something that is a no-no to eat!
Mail came and my statement is in it, so think I will balance my checkbook.
Will try to check in later.
Keep a song in your heart, Shirley
P.S. Around here "When The Saints Come Marching In" is like the national anthem! We get flak if we don't do it somewhere in the program.
A cute story........last week we are entertaining at another home. A little lady calls out "do you know anything Italian?" "Like what?" I asked. "Do you know "O, Marie" she asked. Well we all could hum a bar but no one really knew it. Vicki, the pianist, is thumbing through some of her books, finds the song and plays it. The little lady knew all the words and sang at the top of her lungs, urging everyone to join in. When finished she thanked us. A happy camper. About 10 minutes later, she calls out, "Do you know "O. Marie"? The other residents tell her we already did it and she says, "And I missed it? Where was I?" Later in the program Vicki had a solo and played the song again. We had a happy lady and the others thought it was so nice of us.
Even if that lady couldn't remember doing the song, while she was singing it she was happy and enjoyed herself. You know know how you'll touch someone, It makes it all worthwhile.

Evening all.... I don't know where the day has gone. Just had a friend over for tea. We had a nice visit. Today has been a good eating day. It started out with a half a ww bagel and some whipped cream cheese. And for lunch I had some eggplant marsalas. I hope I'll have fish and a salad for dinner. But right now I sure don't want to eat. Its really cool here in the morning too.
sef- Sorry you aren't feeling good but thats great you were able to go to the nurseing home and sing. I'm sure everyone loved it.
Solly- I'm awfully bad to let those cheats linger on. Well lets face it I didn't get this way without those bad habits. I hope your test turns out good. I'll be thinking good thoughts......
Monet-Hope you get all your stuff done today.
I'm off to grab one more cup of tea....

Good morning ladies,
Brrrr, it is cold here. Supposed to warm up to 68, better hurry. I got out and walked this morning. Yesterday too. My goal is to walk on days I can't get to the gym, Wednesdays & Fridays. That way I don't get burnt out on walking every morning. Some days I just can't get out of bed. Some days I feel like I could go at 3:30 in the morning, but then 5:30 rolls around and I am sleeping soundly. why is that? We did got to the gym last, we have WW II lecture to go to tonight and of course Wed is trick or treat. So won't make it again until Thursday.
Eating was great yestrday. One day down, I am taking it one day at a time. So far today, it is good.
Sef, it is so nice to be able to take the residents down memory lane. For some of them, memories is all they have. Baby oil & iodine, that's what we used all the time. I am a sun worshiper.
Toni, hope you are getting some warmer weather to send my way. I am not liking this at all. Been on the :tread: lately?
Monet, are you sleeping in today?
Where is everyone? Country, Missy, Tech, Thin, and many newbies? It is getting lonely here with just the 4 of us.
Got to get busy. Have a great day

Hello, everyone! Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I was on here, planning on posting when the phone rang, and I got distracted.
I spent two hours in the garagio this morning finishing up some angel ornaments. They took me too long to do, and I can never charge what they are worth and sell them. I think I will try though.
I have company coming for dinner tonight. I am fixing beef stroganoff with whole wheat noodles. I will probably have broccoli and steamed carrots with it. I need to clean some and get ready for it, then I have to cut up the meat. I am not looking forward to it.
It is cold here too. I have had a terrible time getting used to the cold this year. Usually it takes a few days, then I am ok. This year, it has been over a week and my joints are still hurting, and I ache all over. Today is a bit better, but I think the improvement is from taking my cod liver oil. I have remembered it three days in a row now.
I need to go get cleaned up- I am covered in porcelain! Then it is off to cut up a whole sirloin tip for dinner tonight.

Howdy ho.... Well a friend thought she was doing good and .over an apple dessert made with splenda but a regular crust made with white flour. What the heck I had a piece. She was so pleased I couldn't turn it down. Sometimes its just like that. She tries to eat healthy but just doesn't get the concept of no white flour. Its cool here to in the morning but nice today.
Monet- I'm with you I just can't get used of the cool weather. My joints hurt and I'm just plain cold. My outfit of the day is sweats. Hope your dinner turns out well. I'm make ww cheese tortellini and marinara sauce.
Solly- Good luck with your workouts. I think you do so good with them. I've got to get on the treadmill. Gosh I wish people would get back here. I loved it so much when there were lots of posts.
Okay I'm off and will check back later.

Well, the day has not turned out so great. While I was cutting up the meat for dinner, I cut my index finger on my left hand really badly. I don't think I am going to be able to throw for a few days at least...maybe more. It is still bleeding even with pressure and ice, an hour later. :(
So, if the stroganoff turns out good and they ask me for my secret ingredients, I can honestly say, "blood, sweat and tears!"

Oh my gosh Monet. Did you have to go get a couple of stiches? I hope it stopped bleeding. I'm so sorry.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN :witch: :bat::haphal:
I am determined to stay out of the candy tonight. Unfortunately, I bought things I like (already been in them). Then I found some bags of pretzels in orange and black. I like that for the little ones. I can do it and so can you.
Went to a lecture on WWII last night. I was bored. I guess DH liked it. Dinner was horrible. I went to bed hungry and was starving when I woke up. I tried some crockpot cheeseburger recipe. Yuck!
Did not make it up to walk this morning. I woke up at 4:00 am with chest pains. I have numbness in my arms from either the RA or neuropathies so who knows when it is real or not. I laid there for about 10 mintues before I could breathe. Probably gas in my chest cavity. I feel fine now. Just didn't want to get out in the dark and cold and have a heart attack.
Monet, I hate to hear about your finger. Hope it is not hurting this morning.
Nothing like an injury to throw off your whole day. Hope everyone helped clean up for you. Monet, you need to get out your broom and get some people back on here. I have tried with no luck.
Toni, I have been hurting like the devil this week. Never thought about the cold weather being the cause. At least the pie was made with Splenda. That is healthy for people who do not follow SB. I wouldn't worry about it. There will be times like that in our lives that we have to handle.
Better run to the bank. Have a goolish day! :spid: :badbat:

Hello everyone. Finger is still sore. I am trying a liquid bandage on it. I am kind of afraid to put pressure on it though.
I got an email from BOB. She is without phone or internet until the 6th. She emailed me from work. She wanted me to tell you all she has not deserted us, just can't get on until the 6th.
I got a dremel tool and it came today, so I plan to read the owner's manual and try it out.

Good evening all. I've been so busy today. Just when I started to get on here earlier I was needed outside. The contractor put the tin on the roof I think he'll finish the sofits tomorrow. I told him to watch for my cat that lives on the roof. I would hate to have her trapped in there. I had to go to Wal Mart today. I've got to get my son's birthday card off to Iraq so I had to run and get one. Can't believe tomorrow is the 1st of Nov. already. When I was going through town a little while ago little tricker treaters were running every where. I was very careful driving.
Monet-I'm glad you didn't have to get stiches. I'll bet it so sore and wanting to bleed today.
Solly- Oh my gosh I hope those weren't heart pains. I'm worried about you.
Techwife- Howdy there girl. How did Halloween go? What did your daughter go as?
Well guess I'll go. Happy Halloween.

We got only two trick or treaters. I have 74 mini containers of play dough left! The package had 80, and I gave each of the girls three. I should have given them more.
Laura and Justin went out and bought a pumpkin and carved it tonight. They just finished it and we got some pictures with it with Kaeleb in his 'costume'. He was a Georgia bulldog football player. She liked the sweat suit and it was cheaper than a costume!
I just ate two little reeses peanut butter cups. That was more than enough for me. Bleh! They did not even taste good.
Good night!

Good morning having my first cup of coffee. Jerry our contractor is already hard at work on the roof. Then he starts the underpinning. He's making the most horrid noices with the electric saw and tin. My little dog is having a fit. So you can see what kind of a day I'm going to have. I've got to work on my bedroom today and start getting stuff cleared out so Jerry can work in there probably next week. Boy what a job thats going to be. Our house is going to be a wreck.
Monet- did you end up with anymore trick or treaters? My sis in Springfield MO. only got one. But my brother in Denver was being swamped.
Will be back later to check the boards....

Good afternoon ladies.
It has been a diasterous day. Starated out with me leaving my computer at work that I needed for meetings today. Had to run in ick up that. Could not find ameter to park (normally park on the site, but it was blocked off. Didn't have any money for the meter, so the super had to bring me some. Had to wear a hard hat (hat hair), Then my coffee got knocked over all over me and the floor. Then had to rush to get to church at noon. The day usually goes all wrong when it starts off that way.
We had quite a few triack or treaters. I had 4 bags of candy and 60 bags of pretzels. I think there were 4 candy bars left and I am sure my DH has finished those off by now. I was good, did not have one! We had to leave around 7:30 so DD finished handing it out for us. I love to sit out and watch them all come up.
Getting my nails done after work and then I am doing nothing, other than wrapping some presents for the weekend. I am exhuasted today.
Toni, don't worry about me, it was probably just gas. :fr: Sounds like you will be living in a mess for awhile. Will it be done soon before the holidays?
Monet, I am sure your finger will be sore for awhile. Try not to use it. Have fun with your new tool. Lets see some pics of the little football player. Glad to know about BOB, I was wondering.
Tech, how are things going?
I am tyring a new enchillada recipe tonight, which should be SB legal. I have had it at a friends and it was delish. It is out the Kraft book. I'll let you know. Got to run, time to head out.
