Default Resistance Bands?

Hey everyone. I just have some questions regarding resistance bands. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried them, and if they have seen good results? Do you think the results are faster than if you would use plain weights?

I just bought a couple DVD's that use a resistance band (Shape Transforming Workout, and 10 minute Solutions Tone Trouble Zones). I'm thinking of incorporating both of them in my routine. What do you think? Is it worth my time? Are there fast and good results (and by results I mean results in the way you look...not the number on the scale)? Any help is appreciated!

Yeah I saw that but I wanted to see if anyone has gotten good results from using them. Those are just exercises for the bands and I already have a couple videos....so just looking to see if it's effective!

I've been very good at resisting the resistance bands!

After using them in physical therapy, I bought some resistance bands for myself and also a book...the name of which I forget...but owning them hasn't had any effect on me yet. Possibly, I will have to open the book, take the bands out of their package, and start using them to see results.

I lost 85 pounds without exercising (back problem) and got a personal trainer to show me how to lift weights without hurting myself. Had three sessions with her and the first time I went to the gym on my own and tried to follow her lessons, I tore a rotator cuff in my right shoulder. Then I had back surgery and felt like walking again, so I started walking. I mean I STARTED walking. That lasted a couple of days, but I never seemed to have time during daylight, so, I got these resistance bands and this book. Now if I can just get myself to try again... Meanwhile, I've gained back 15 pounds.

So I guess my reply is that they work (I hear), but only if you use them.
